Big would be a understatement, this place is huge! Not only does it have most sport equipment it includes smaller shops inside that either sell snacks or drinks. Rather than saying what do they have its better to day what DONT they have. SCHEELS even includes games for family and children to miss around while they shop. You cant get bored from coming here!
It was our first time in Reno and at Scheels. A friend had mentioned to us that theres so much activities out there and my kids would love it so we went to have some fun.Obviously its really a place to be. A staff gave us 5coins for the Scheels wheels 🎡 and ordinarily I wouldnt want to go up it but it was so relaxing because the speed was just moderate enough to accommodate kids even grandparents who are no afraid of heights.I will highly recommend this place. It was so intriguing to see past American presidents and their statures. #historic.I equally like the fact that all the animals displayed had their names so I learnt more and my kids did too.My kids also enjoyed the play stations.Keep it up at #Scheels Reno Sparks NV.For some odd reasons I cant upload pictures 😶
So guys, I lucked-out today. When you’re not a total expert in everything firearms, it’s nice to get a sales person like Sean Kemp.Seriously, patient about everything, and so helpful in meeting my goals.Every once in a while, you get a person like Sean, and it really bolsters your confidence, and even if you end up spending way more on an optic for your new acquisition, it’s worth it. 👍** I just wanted to add to this review. Had occasion to go back to purchase an additional optic. Something I know little about. But once again, I had the pleasure of exceptional customer service. This time Nick Nelson, a confident, knowledgeable, helpful young man that was totally about helping me figure out the best options. Scheel’s definitely has it going on, from a customer service perspective.
Every employee I encountered at Scheels was extremely helpful.I went to purchase shoes. Rose was running the entire department by herself and doing a great job of it.She was very helpful and attentive even though she was handling at least 5 customers at a time.Great shopping experience.
It took a while to find the hiking boots I was looking for, as they have them in two completely different areas of the store for some reason.The ones I needed were in stock at a fair price. An associate named Lake helped me out and was friendly and knowledgeable.Scheels is a cool place so wandering around from one boot section upstairs to the other one downstairs was not a hardship by any means.
Atrocious management. Manager actually scared me. The good. Kaylie, Jessica and and the manager Carson are excellent. Manager Jason S needs to be fired! Kaylie put an item on hold for me. She communicated so well. When I got there, she had left for the day. Unfortunately, she didn’t tell anyone where she put my items on hold. She, Jessica and Carson went above and beyond to help with a confusing situation. The reason for the 1 star is, as a 42 year old woman, I need to speak up about the complete lack of respect for a woman shown by manager Jason. After Jessica and a few other staff looked for the items for an hour, they items didn’t fit. Jessica stepped up and said she could order the size from the vendor. I was delighted. I went to fill out the special order request when Jason said he wasn’t sure if I’d get the item this winter and the vendor nor Scheels showed the item in stock. To remedy confusion, I asked if Jessica could join the conversation because she had it pulled up on a different computer. Jason was so lazy, rather than trying to mitigate a confusing situation, he said to just buy the $450 item and hope I receive it because I can always get a refund. Who does that? I’m not going to blindly fork over $450 because he didn’t have the wherewithal to do his job! I asked if he could call the vendor to make sure they have it. Nope. Here is where his power trip began. The cashier and Jason went into the back where I could see them complaining about me. I left and went to find Jessica whom I explained they were confused at customer service. She went in the back to call the vendor for me. Phenomenal human. While waiting, Jason approached me very aggressively. I asked to deal with another manager. He was making me very uncomfortable. I’d already explained I work with helicopter and have mild hearing loss. If he rose his voice to be accommodating, that’d be one thing but he was very threatening and terribly unprofessional. He said no and told me I could only buy them through him, refusing to let me talk to anyone else. He asked, as if I were a child, “Do you want them or not?” He raised his voice at me several times which I explained I’m the customer. He called on the radio for another manager but his tone felt like he was calling security on me. I even asked him if he was trying to have me thrown out. Eventually, another manager Carson was called over. I explained that was on hold had nothing to do with my special order and if Jessica could join in the conversation which Jason insisted she couldn’t, we could all get on the same page. Jason stormed off with my special order request in his back pocket which contained all of my personal information. It’s sad that I even had the suspicion because his demeanor was so menacing to think he’d keep it to have access to my phone number or address. Why wouldn’t he pass on my order form. He said Carson will have to make a new one for me. No way! Very suspicious behavior. I asked him if Carson could have my order form. He was hesitant to give it to him as if I wasn’t really going to buy it. Because he ran me around so long, by the time Carson and Jess got through to the vendor they were closed. The whole ordeal took 2 hours. Are you kidding me? Scheels, Jason S just lost you $450 because I bought the item elsewhere and I won’t be back.
This place is huge, best outdoors store I’ve ever been to. Great prices on accessories that I needed. I didn’t have time to browse the whole store but from what I was able to bass pro shop doesn’t have anything on this store. The employees were very helpful and nice. I can’t wait to come back and hopefully I have way more time to do some actual browsing. But I really want to thank all the staff for being so helpful and nice. From the phone call questions to getting there and checking out.
I have been going to Scheels to buy shoes for work, and for about a week I have sent over 5 people there to buy shoes. I go to buy another pair today, and the lady that is working in the shoe department goes to the back and gets me a pair of shoes that I had requested and disappears for over 10 minutes. There is not one customer in the shoe department. So I sit and wait then finally she comes out and asks if I need help? I respond and ask where she has been? I have been waiting and I would like to talk to a a manager and so at that moment a manager walks by. I tell her the situation and she doesnt say anything and asks the two women Are you the only two working here? and then she walks away with them! They disappear to the back and there I am sitting again and waiting. Finally they come out and the manager asks me oh do you still need help? I then tell her Of course I do, Im here looking for a pair of shoes! I got so frustrated that I just left. I tell her I will leave a review and one of the ladies say OK! Doesnt try to make things better, she does nothing! Horrible customer service! Sadly, I wont go back. I felt that she could care less and was not interested of what had just happened. I am very disappointed, I just went to another business and bought my shoes. I will not recommend my co workers to go there anymore.
We always love going to Sheels. We always end up staying for hours just browsing and spending way more than we expected. So much fun.
So I was surprised at the size of this place. Its huge. I spoke to a salesman about kayaks and he was very very knowledgeable. I was very impressed by his knowledge. Super nice employees.

Had the best experience today with what felt like my very own Scheels expert. I was looking for advise on getting the spring free trampoline here at the Scheels Sparks location. Answered all my questions and also helped me with delivery.We are very happy with their recommendation and the safety ratings on this trampoline.Cheers to a fun summer, thank you Scheels!
This place is awesome!! And an extra thanks to the young ladies in the cafe area that helped me with my coffee and ice cream! So sweet and treated me kind when they were about to close!! I wish you could accept tips!! But all around awesome store!!

Great big store with a big variety and selection of items you need. Very busy... and surprisingly some items out of stock due to how busy theyve been lately according to a clerk. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
This is probably the most unique and fun stores in the area. Lots of diverse sporting goods to be found and reasonable prices.
One of the best experiences Ive ever had visiting a store this size. Scheels is hard to beat when it comes to competitive prices and customer service. When you walk into Scheels you immediate realize just how classy it is! The workers are very friendly and go out of there way to assist with whatever you need. I have reviewed many places but nothing compares to the cleanliness and hospitality of this sporting goods store. They have so many extra activities within the store, its like a museum and amusement park all in one. They have a large ferris wheel smack dab in the middle of the store, along with arcade, shooting gallery, and top shot golf simulation and more. The workers in the gun department are phenomenal and provide accurate and timely service. I personally dealt with a worker named Darlene (current gun room manager) she knows the gun section very well. The store also contains a candy shop/ice cream, and a coffee shop. Definitely a place to visit if in the Reno/Sparks neighborhood. Scheels is the place to go for everything outdoors, it puts places like Bass Pro to shame!!
Yesterday, went to Scheels in Sparks, NV and was SO IMPRESSED!!! Gorgeous store, so amazing and covers every type of sporting area. Matt and Jeremy in the fishing department could not of been more helpful patient and professional! Highly recommend this store for all your sporting needs! Have to say, loved this store more than Bass Pro.
I love Scheels and want to support them as a company as much as possible! They have great products and I appreciate the values they support. ALSO... I just called them because I had made a mistake on my order so I called the Customer Service number and a person answered the phone within one ring and took care of my issue in literally one minute! I was shocked! It was amazing. Thumbs up for Scheels!
One of my favorite stores. Gigantic square footage, filled with everything from sport gear and clothing to camping and hunting. Something for everyone. Nice helpful staff. Giant walk-through fish tank, indoor ferris wheel, amazing place. A must visit in Sparks.
I was very disappointed with the products I purchased here. I brought my kids on June 29. We had a great time shopping, riding the Ferris wheel and waking around. My son used his birthday money on a bow n arrow and wallow talkies. After we got back to our hotel he opened the bow n arrow. One arrow immediately broke.! He was able to play with the toy a few times, then the next day the bow broke! We opened the Walker talkies when we got home and they don’t work well at all! The sound quality is terrible and you can barely hear a muffled voice when one person is in another room speaking into the walkie talkie! My son is so upset, both items were a waste of his birthday money. Cool store, but I would never ever buy a product there again!

One of your associates, Janet, when out of her way today to help me find the perfect river worthy floaty. They werent on the floor yet, but she went above and beyond and found TWO of them for me, even though she could have just continue on her day. Just thought Id share, great employees deserve to be recognized.
Apparently SCHEELS solution was to email me and call me a liar when I filed this complaint. I am no longer a customer of this trash hole. I used to love this store and our experiences inside. We decided to bring my 90 year old Grandma over to see the ferris wheel since she is visiting from Texas. A Scheels EMPLOYEE blocked our cars path in the drop off area, banged on the vehicle, then initiated a confrontation with my husband accusing us of not needing to use the drop off area. This is absolutely not behavior expected from a Scheels employee. After unloading my Grandma, I sought a manager and received a completely insincere apology.

Scheels is the place to shop for whatever sport you are into. They have everything from Hunting, Fishing, Biking, Running, Tennis, Camping, LaCrosse, Golf and those other ball sports. The staff at Scheels is really friendly and willing to help you out. It has become a ritual for us to stop and shop while in the Reno / Sparks area. You will not be disappointed at how big this place is.
My family and I love the store. The store all together is amazing. However, when we were ready to pay, the cashier was rude. Didnt say hello when I said Hi, then threw the bag at me when she was done placing my item in the bag. As I walked away, I can hear her saying hello and being nice to the customer behind me. I dont know why she was rude to me... I only figured since Im Asian. But who knows. All I know is I still love the store.

Down from Bend Or.for my Grandsons baseball tournament.He wanted to get some fishing gear so it was the first time for both of us to go in a Wheels store.What an experience.They had everything.Even a Farris wheel which my Grandson rode.Nice store.
October 2- just in Scheels around 7:30 PM, DISGUSTED LESS THAN 50 % of the people had masks on excluding children. Employees said they can’t enforce the law. All employees had masks on and one told us “ I’m a Republican and this upsets me”. I will not be going back there we left immediately. Very unsafe environment. SHAME ON YOU

Scheels is a fantastic department store. Between the aquariums and the Bigfoot target I would have to say it is unique among the many places I have shopped. And the staff, they are courteous and knowledgeable.great place to shop.

It’s sad to see Scheels not contributing to ending the COVID pandemic by ignoring the Government orders to enforce masks.Even some of their own employees were not wearing masks.On August 1 the store was packed with selfish customers without masks. There was hardly any signage on the doors or other areas of the store, they weren’t supplying any masks either. I spoke to customer service and a floor manager. I was told that they are a private business and there was not much they could do.With this indifference to our nations public health crisis we will certainly see more loss of life and ruined families!
We called ahead to confirm a particular item was available, but when we arrived were told it had not been stocked in some time.The store was nice otherwise, but crazy busy on a weekend afternoon.

The clerk tried to purchase the item when I showed it to her on my phone . She tried to press check out button. So disrespectful and illegal. Not very happy . Ill never be shopping at this unpatriotic store ever again.
Stock is low in some departments. Otherwise a good standby for essential sports apparel and equipment.

I have yet to walk into a brick and mortar SCHEELS, but from my recent online shopping experience, I will make it a point to stop in when were within distance. (My new go to place to shop!) Happy to exclaim that customer service is alive and well with this company! On a recent online order, I came across a challenge. Wrote in to customer service, expecting the usual 24-48 hour response time, if someone responds at all.....much to my surprise, (Jackie, Baily and the rest of the gang at customer serice), sent a reply within minutes! Unheard of in this day and age!!! And not only a reply, but problem solved within that time. Nordstroms should be so efficient. Keep up the fantastic work, see you all soon again! Thank you.

Today is my birthday and I turned 73 I have been looking for a pair of shoes everywhere and the service I was getting from every other shoe store was terrible. I went to Scheels today and the young man in mens shoe department was so good in helping me. The last time I got service like that was when I was in my teens he went in the back and got different sizes and brought them out he was such a gentleman Ill always remember him

Good place for kids if adults want to shop because it has arcade areas into different snack places smalle cafes if you will to buy ice cream, soft pretzels and Drinks.Huge selection of guns archery swimming running bicycling fishing pretty much any sport you can think of!Very clean , and the staff is very knowledgeable! My pick over Cabelas.
I come here once a week because it has so much. Rick from the shoe department is also incredibly helpful and fun to chat with. He’s very knowledgeable, not pushy and just a happy guy!

This is the most spectacular sporting good store that Ive ever been to. This place is phenomenal. They have the largest selection of sporting goods and clothing. You can purchase guns and hunting gear, camping gear, Surfboards, boats, you name it theyve got it! They have educational displays Everywhere! They also have a full sized Ferris wheel in the middle of the store that you can ride. Candy store upstairs. Beautiful aquariums and displays of animals. Im definitely going back.

The family has a blast browsing and shopping at Scheels. Most impressed by the fact that the staff is always willing to help and put in the extra time to make sure you have what you need. Best example was when we bought some hiking shoes as a gift for family member who lives in AZ. Sales member put his card in the shoe box and said if there was any issue with sizing to give him a call and he will ship out the correct size.
Decided to check it out purely based on the architecture of the building. They literally have just about everything sports or outdoor related you could possibly want or need. We didnt buy anything but we had a great time checking out their amazing taxidermy displays and see through fish tank among other things!
Why would anyone ever go to Cabelas again. Disney land for hubby, and myself. Wonderful store, great people and service. Great prices too. Will be going back.
Its always nice. We love to look at the fish, the animals (that have been stuffed), and all the awesome merchandise. They have tons of toys now, a play aria, farris wheel, and a small candy shop!
I bought two gun mags online. Two days later I realized I hadnt received a confirmation email. I called them and immediately was in contact with a customer support member. She sent the email to me and said the mags were due to arrive later that day. Sure enough they showed up on time. Great experience with this company. Highly recommended.

Powerhouse sport...anything. Particularly impressed by Staff and Management positive attitudes and interest in being of help. The only thing that can be a tough pill to swallow is some of the pricing but many items are higher quality than elsewhere. This is pretty close to a one stop sporting shop.

Love the store. Thou I gave them my bow to be fixed and they told me should be about 5days to I get it back. A month later still waiting. Now they said they got the wrong parts in. And had to reorder it. Now waiting game again. Ugh

Like Always Scheels is the best!!!Went to another outdoor retailer that that like Scheels had these shortage items.Same brand Scheels had them for $38.99 a lil high but not bad. Other retailer rhymes with Babellas is gouging zact same item $74.99 their should be a law against that.So Like always Scheels is my first stop.
