I was out of town and had some time on my hands and wanted to shop some of the local yarn stores. I made several calls and they went unanswered which is not unusual for Saturdays at a LYS. So I drove from Culter Bay to this establishment and was disappointed to find that the store is no longer there. There was a sign on the door informing the customer to purchase online. Communication is key for new and old customers! Happy knitting!

This place is so lovely! Prices are great, especially for the fibers being natural, and the woman who helped me was very lovely and attentive. Im definitely coming back! Also, for safety, I recommend sanitizing your hands before and after touching any yarn or projects.

I love The Knitting Garden. It is a beautiful shop, an oasis from my hectic, fast paced days. I started knitting by taking lessons at the store. Annie and Virginia, the owners, are beyond talented and always ready to support me with any project. I never thought I could actually knit, and thanks to them, I have knitted many lovely items. The Knitting Garden is a great place for beautiful yarns, expert help, and knitting and sharing with a community of wonderful people.

Went to The Knitting Garden to learn to knit and found SO MUCH more! If you want to learn how to knit, meet great people, have wonderful conversation an an overall good time, The Knitting Garden is for you!! The two women who own the store are not only prolific knitters, they are also the nicest, most patient teachers one could ask for. Be warned, you will have a hard time not being tempted to buy the many beautiful yarns for sale at the store and once you learn to knit, you will come back to the store to knit with all the friends you made while you were learning. The Knitting Garden is SO MUCH MORE than a yarn store!!

The best yarn shop Ive eve been to!! A great selection of yarn and notions! I started knitting and crocheting after my first granddaughter was born and was lucky to find a place to go and find everything I need for my new passion! When I say everything I dont just mean the yarn and notions; the owners are two awesome ladies who are always ready to help. Theres also a Happy hour on Fridays when people get together around a table and knit, crochet and talk. Its a therapy to go in there! Thanks Annie and Virginia for your kindness and patience!!

I have been going to the Knitting Garden for over three years and I have to say Annie and Virgina are two of the nicest, kindest people I have met. They are wonderful enough to let us hang out at the store and work on our projects. They truly go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and have created a great knitting community. It makes very upset when people write bad reviews that are unwarranted, this is a small store and at times it gets very busy, there are two stores owners and they cannot be in all places at all times but all you have to do is ask for help and they will help you. Knitting is a relaxing activity that should make feel happy and if it does not then maybe you should rethink your hobbies.By the way the yarn is amazing and the selection extraordinary!!!!

The Knitting Garden is a beautiful shop with high-quality yarns, expertise advice, pattern choices, great service and friendly people. A variety of classes are offered for different levels and skill building. There are always different activities that go on as well. And, its a lot of fun to just hang out and knit.I learned to knit here in the beginners class and over the years I have continued to take other classes to improve my skills. The instruction and patience you get from both Annie and Virginia, the owners, are priceless. They are passionate about what they do and are committed to helping others enjoy this craft as much as they do. No matter how much help you need, they are there for you, not only to offer assistance but encouragement.Whether you are a novice or avid knitter, this shop is warm and welcoming to all, so check it out! And when you visit, admire the many finished projects mostly done by Virginia and Annie, they are gorgeous!

I love this shop as a destination for knitting, learning, shopping and socializing! The location is convenient, the yarn is beautiful and the other patrons are fun to share time with around the knitting table. Annie and Virginia are attentive and patient in sharing their knitting knowledge for beginners and advanced alike! Knitting has become a great hobby as a result of my visits here.

I have been going to The Knitting Garden for over five years. I learned to knit there and I buy all of my yarn there. They have BEAUTIFUL, good quality yarns. The two women that own the shop are the friendliest, most helpful people I have ever met. They are patient and selfless with their time. Last week, I marveled how one of the owners (the one holding down the fort while the other battled a bad case of the flu) was able to juggle teaching a knitting class, helping people fix their knitting mistakes and assist customers with the purchase of their yarn. All this, with a big smile on her face!! Great place, wonderful owners and beautiful yarn. Every business should be this good!

Wherever I travel I stop into local knitting shops. Never have I experienced such unwelcoming shop owners as I have at The Knitting Garden. Ignored when I entered. No one asked if I needed assistance. When I made a purchase, the employee didn’t even look up at me. I won’t be back!

This is a beautiful shop! I have just starting knitting after 30 some odd years and after completing 2 baby hats I am now taking on my first sweater project for my grandson. Annie has been super helpful in getting me started and helping me through my many mistakes. I cant recommend this shop enough to new knitters and to those who have been knitting for years.

I am visiting from out of town and saw that they closed at 6pm on their website so figured I would pick up some necessary supplies. I had been there before in the afternoon (never even occurred to me to check their hours) the last time I was in Miami and know they have a pretty good selection. Imagine my surprise when I got there at 5:15 and they were closed. PLEASE update your hours on the website!!!

I am writing this review because I cant understand why anyone would give The Knitting Garden a bad review. This is a great place with excellent quality yarns and the two owners are friendly, helpful and most gracious.I have been going to the store for almost three years and I do not have one complaint in all that time. I am a beginner knitter and the owners have been most patient with me. Ive learned a great deal from them.If this person who gave them a bad review is the person who came to the store the beginning of this week, then she should know that one owner has had to juggle managing the store while teaching a class and being constantly interrupted by those of us with knitting problems. Her partner has been out with the flu for the last two weeks and she has done her best in attending to her duties while alone in the store Dont judge the store by one visit. isis Hoffman

Very awkward place. There are always women chatting and knitting but nobody comes to assist you or help you with the shopping. The products are very nice, but even if you manage to choose any, theres nobody at the checkout counter to get the payment.

Lovely shop with beautiful yarns, but I agree with the other reviewers who called out the crappy customer service. I have been there twice and both times it has felt very awkward, as if I was intruding on a clique-y and unfriendly knitting group. The yarns are expensive, but if someone came over to ask what I was looking for and actually provide some assistance I would have overcome my sticker shock. As it is, I walked out empty-handed and will not be going back. Peculiar way to run a business.

There is always a friendly face to greet you when you walk into this beautiful store. Its hard to walk in and not walk out with SOMETHING and the something is usually some delicious yarn (very high quality and beautifully colored). I learned to knit with their incredible guidance and did all the classes from beginner to advanced knitting and the crochet classes 1 and 2 as well. I was unable to knit until I took their classes and now Im hooked. They always have a lovely group gathered around their community knitting table and Friday nights they have a happy hour thats always fun for gabbing and knitting. This store is a gem in Coral Gables and they have an online shop too! I highly recommend patronizing The Knitting Garden and benefitting from their incredibly knowledge :)

The Knitting Garden is truly a happy place. The owners are welcoming and enjoy helping others. The table in the back is usually filled with customers chatting, knitting, crocheting, and even weaving. You can join in and work on a project, ask for help on a project, and make new friends. They carry a variety of beautiful yarns - Anzula, Manos, Malabrigo, Shibui, Prism, etc. The owners also have a unique collection of notions and handcrafted goods. Overall it is one of my favorite places.
