Brought my truck in for the yearly inspection & was damaged by the service department. I literally pulled into my driveway - saw the damage & went back. The Service Manager MIKE said it was not done by them - he refuses to take responsibility of it. Claims it was OLD damage - Refused to show me tapes of the truck in the service area - told me I have to wait till Tuesday. Looks like they ran it into a barrier or wall - does not look like another vehicle damage. Mike was ETREMELY NASTY! I had the brakes done the night before & this was not there. Purchased the truck from them to begin with. And I was actually looking at another car on their lot. It would be a cold day in HE## before I give them any more of my money! Take your car/truck elsewhere - very careless & refuse to take responsibility!

Horrible customer service. They were unaware of any of the dealer incentives/specials. I had to physically show them on my phone (salesman took a pic) and then i showed him how to look it up on their own website. They use typical used car salesman tactctics. The numbers did not add up to what was advertised and they kept pressuring me to sign. I walked out and he had the audacity to ask me to call, if I find a better deal. Lol.Also, this dealership is closed on Sundays

I bought a used 2018 Sportage from a family member. The factory warranty carried over. I had a few minor issues that were covered under warranty and they took care of it. Perfect job and it didnt cost me a penny. I should say that there is a closer Kia dealer to me, but when I called their parts department, they didnt have a clue. Robert in the parts department at South Shore Kia really is a guru. He always has the right answers and Ive found the rest of the staff to be very good as well. So, Im pretty happy and if youre looking to buy a Kia or have one serviced, Id recommend that you go to South Shore Kia.

Brought my 2017 sport age in for an oil change, recall issue and noise in back. Was told needed Rotors. Brought it to my mechanic who told me they were fine! Thank god I got a second opinion. I will no longer bring my car here or to any KIA. I will use my trustworthy mechanic and have him document work for warranty.

Went to this dealership today with my younger son to look at preowned Nissan maxima they have on their lot for him, after closing looking at car noticed mileage was in kilometers, from Canada, thats correct Canada, salesmen tells me car was n.y state inspected by their service department but they didnt catch that.Asked for carfax on car so l can check where car came from, said they dont have and dont produce them for customers at this dealership.Never Again.

Experienced a horrific trip to South Shore Kia today. Was going to just leave a one-star rating here and move on. But they got some nerve to call my review spam! A sales lied to me on the phone before I headed over. When in the showroom, the price was jacked up a lot but they tried to hide the details from me. The sales couldnt explain the lease and financing payment numbers. South shore kia, why dont you mark up prices openly and give customers the transparency and respect they deserve? Stop taking customers as a fool, and stop trying to censor the negative reviews!

Unprofessional & rude is my experience. As well as completely low balling a trade in I was doing when their competitors were giving $7k more.What topped off this horrible experience was when we were leaving my wife and I witnessed an employee peeking out all over the parking lot with the car I just test drove.So if you plan on buying a Blue K5 GT don’t the employees obviously beat on them when they think you aren’t looking.Stay away!

I like their professionalism and their respectful demeanor. They are good at keeping their customers in the know and helping them understand what was done and answering any questions you may have regarding the issue.However, I dont appreciate how many times I have gone back to them this month (which was 5x and about to be 6th time) to fix my problem which obviously was not resolved. I had a misfire in one of cylinders and so they replaced the one but I think it wouldve been better to replace all the sparkplugs so that they were all changed at once not in piecemeal. Thats a waste of my time and theirs! My suspicions were true; I have a misfire problem again and Im going to have to make the long trek out there once again to get this fixed!

Just went into dealer today looking at suv. The salesman Jay was great but finance mgr didnt even take time to tell me what monthly payment would be, I asked why. Jay said thats what they said. Never been to dealership who wouldnt give u a monthly payment number, if i wanted a ball park number i could.do that on my own. I was also looking at another Suv there but since what happen, I said to Jay u lost a sale due to managers not being professional. Now I see why this dealer is rated low, will go to ur competitor who is much further away. I forgot the name of the guy who met me at Kia service center on the paper its says Lance Russell I hope thats him:) He was very professional and polite, he gave me all accurate information about my vehicle service. He even reminded me that I forgot to get inspection sticker for this year. Basically I went to Kia dealership to do recalls for my 2015 Kia Sorento. I thought I have to leave my car for couple days but front desk guy promised me that wil be done today!!! I was surprised by their service.. Thank you guys for your hospitality and great service. Went in to South Shore Kia yesterday (10/23) looking for a car because my previous car was totaled in a flood. I was in contact with Jay before I got there and had told him what I was looking for and my budget. He had two cars ready for me when I got there, both within my budget and I loved the first one. He had it go through their shop, detailed it, and filled it with gas and I was able to drive home with it the same day. 10/10

Wish I could give them zero stars! Sent my car in waited for 5 months( still under warranty) running making loud noise. They took my engine and my transmission out and I received my car back with everything on the seats and the trunk of my car. They are denying my claim due to negligence on my oil changes. I have them turned all the oil change receipts showing my car has been serviced accordingly( to Jacob Adams) even more than the manual states.All they keep saying is that they aren’t denying my claim the warranty company is and when I call the warranty company it’s Kia not us that denied the claim. I had my Kia 3 yrs before the engine blew. And the swine of a service manager tells us “the only thing I can suggest is you buy a new vehicle and then default on this loan” seriously screwed up!

I came in 8/29 to sell my pre-owned Jeep and check out the new Kia Seltos. I appreciated how the sales staff were mindful of Covid precautions while still be attentive; Richie was quick to bring around a Seltos S for me to test drive and then an EX to look over, which I ultimately ended up leasing. Everything on their end happened in a timely manner. Unfortunately, it took AllState a few tries to get my insurance sorted out, but Richie was super patient with their agents. It was nice to chat with him while they got it together, so at least it was a pleasant two hours spent. I’ve had the car for a little over a week and I love it, the improvement in gas mileage and maneuverability compared to my Jeep has really made my commute better. The huge infotainment screen and Apple CarPlay is a bonus that I am really enjoying also. Thanks Richie!

I’ve been looking to buy a car for the past 4 months. Obviously it was difficult because of COVID. Overall, I had an AMAZING experience working with this dealership. I wanted a used car, preferably Honda or Toyota and I ended up buying a 2015 Honda Civic. The salesman Richie, was super nice! He made it so simple for me to buy a car. I saw my boyfriend screwed over when he bought his car from a dealership on 112 so I was skeptical. I was by myself when going to look at the car and was unsure on if because I was a female they would take advantage of that but they didn’t! Richie was kind, understanding and absolutely amazing! Great staff, great service...However, what is up with telephone system at the service department? Each time I need to make a service appointment, either no one picks up, I’m on hold for over 25 min or the call transfers to another department only to be bounced back to service and continue the wait. I had to physically drive there just to make an appointment on several occasions.

Back story, I leased my first car with this dealership and about a year before my lease was up my family grew. I started looking into the Telluride all over the place, including this dealership in particular but was disappointed when I was told they didn’t have any in stock. So I went all the way out to New Jersey to find out and ended up putting $1000 down for a car they didn’t even have yet and wasn’t even the color I truly wanted. I made an appointment for last Wednesday with Adam to see the 3 used Ford Explorers. He said I would be able to test drive it. I got there and not one of them was ready for a test drive and the one that I liked had a dead battery, which he didnt know until after he took my credit app. which he didnt run while I was there. It has been 7 days and I only heard back from him on the following Thuraday to tell me he is still trying to get the truck into service. I left a message last Friday and an email and still have not heard back. Ii have purchased numerous cars over the years and I have always had good service, even if I wasnt able to purchase, but this is the worst salesmanship I have ever seen.

A few weeks ago my parents and I visited South Shore KIA, looking into possibly purchasing a new car. Weeks prior my mother had gotten into a little accident with her old car and was in the market for a new one. With a very good neighborhood reputation this dealership seemed best suited since a KIA was one of the vehicles on her shopping list. We were warmly greeted by a gentleman named Gil. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. Originally my mother wanted a RIO since that was the vehicle she had rented but those are far and few between. He suggested a Forte, and after explaining the model and test driving my mother was in love. Gil was easy going when it came to working out a deal. I myself am in the business, he was very upfront and honest as were the rest of the staff in the dealership. They signed the deal, and picked up the vehicle the very next day. Car was prepped and ready, shinning when we pulled up. The paperwork was all ready, as we were in and out within 30 min. I give GIL and the entire dealership 5 full stars all across the board. My mother was absolutely ecstatic and is in absolute love with her new KIA Forte. Shes the crazy lady who fell in love with the blue and was dancing after signing the deal. Great job GIL and the whole team at South shore KIA. The only downside is that she hasnt shut up about the car since she has taken it home lol Thank you for everything!

Wrote a nice review about one of the sales persons here , Guess what?...everyone is your friend until your car starts having problems 03 week into buying it. The person didnt even have the decency to call you and try to find a solution to the problem after you have emailed them. Even better when you do call and mention their name they act as if its not them and quickly transfer you to the mechanics. The mechanic that saw my car had better customer service and gave me tips and ways to troubleshoot my car but unfortunately it didnt work...atleast the mechanic tried...not the sales person...still waiting on his call. This is coming from a person who has bought a second car at this location.

I originally went to Smithtown Kia for a transmission problem that I was having on a 2018 Kia Niro that I leased from Smithtown. They had my car for two days and couldn’t find anything. Two days later the automatic diagnostic screen came up with a transmission condition. When I contacted Smithtown they never called back and three hours later after 20 phone calls trying to get through to a person I was told to have the car brought in but there are no loaner cars available.The next morning I drove it to South Shore Kia and without having an appointment they took my car in immediately and within an hour and a half they diagnosed the problem, ordered the part and sent me home in a loaner car without even asking for one. The staff was very professional and considerate of my needs. I highly recommend their service department if you want to be treated with respect and have knowledgeable technicians work on your car.

Manager is an example of what gives dealerships a bad name. When it comes to service, Keith proved himself not to be a man of his word and dishonest. Made false statements and caused a great deal of unnecessary stress and anxiety. Avoid this dealership at all costs. Wait until he explains that they are independently owned so are not held accountable by Kia Coorporate. I am on the square when I suggest to avoid conducting business with the dealership.

Leased a 2018 Sportage in February 2017 . Gill Moldanado was the salesman. Told me if there were any warranty issues there would be no problems with getting a loaner car. Now hes gone I have a problem with the truck and low and behold no loaners available. Called the service dept, was told nothing he could do. All cars are out. Called the sales dept, got told the same. I guess when it comes to another car in February , I wont be going back here. And by the way, every time I brought the car for service, I was asked if I needed a car. I never needed one . But what is wrong with the sportgae happened while I was driving and is not planned. And I need a loaner now. Guess I wont be coming back when I need another lease or buying another car.

He went out of his way to make sure everything with the car was correct and ready and that I was happy with it. This is the second car I have bought from them and their entire staff is very good.

I went to South Shore Kia for my first Kia almost 3 years ago and decided to go back to see if I would get a better deal and if not had another appointment with Hyundai scheduled for 2 hours after Kias and I have to say this time I had a much different experience than last time.Me and my husband met with JAY and he made this new car purchase such a great and easy experience. we have no doubt that we will be returning to see Jay once my lease is over. he was great and patient and listened and delivered everything I asked for in my new car and on top of all that gave us the best price ever. Thank you Jay . the rest of the staff was just as nice, the old ownership and staff wasnt as pleasant and Im glad we choose Kia again and because of Jay we will keep choosing Kia.

2 months with vehicle problems and I have just recently got a loaner car. After back and forth talks on whether my car was faulty or not....MAGICALLY they have duplicated the problems. When you call to see the status of your vehicle because clearly they are stalling no one is available or do not have time to help. As a former sales person, you guys really need to work on your customer service and attentiveness to your customers. Seems to me like commission is too important for you guys.

A car is only as good as the service it comes with. LuAnn McBride took the stinging uncertainty of the defective engine and replaced it with a promise to deliver a new engine with an unlimited mileage warranty that runs with the car in a timeline she lived up to. She also provided effective towing and replacement rental car information and explained the process painstakingly so I was assured of the dealers good intent. Given such caring service I will most certainly recommend South Shore Kia to friends and family as not all dealerships act as honorably!

I had a great experience leasing my new Kia Optima. Leo the salesman and Andrew the sales manger made my experience easy and fun. I must say I drove these guys crazy because I kept changing my mind. They answered all my questions with no pressure which is had to come by these days, They were very patient and nice and we ended up having a good time. This is my second Kia and would buy/lease another. The Optima is beautiful car and I highly recommend it. Before going to Honda or Toyota, give Kia a try, you just my be surprised.

We were looking to lease the Kia Telluride to replace our Cadillac XT5, which was coming off lease. We did an internet search, found one at South Shore Kia, and printed out what we thought was a good lease deal, $625/month, zero down, 36 months, 12K miles, with ONE $650 fee. Oddly, the Cadillac XT5 and the Telluride both sticker for about the same, about $48K, but you can lease an XT5 in the $400 range and the Telluride was going to cost $640. Whatever, we wanted to try it. Heard from both a manager, Steve, and a salesman, both of whom couldnt be friendlier. We went out to Long Island Saturday with the sole purpose of looking at and possibly leasing the Telluride. Sat down with a different salesman, who told us the lease would cost $899 per month. We immediately showed him our South Shore Kia printout, showing $625 per month, which he took to his manager. Incredibly, they were going to honor it, but for $15 more per month. No problem. Came back with the numbers. Miles said 10K. A mistake, said the salesman, he changed it to 12K. Fine. First months payment of $640? Fine. Charges now included an Advantage fee of $489, which is basically oil changes the first year, inspections for three years and a loaner. Can you decline it? No. Expensive for a couple of oil changes but ok. $50 for a tank of gas that you cant decline. $650 acquisition fee, the fee that was on the printout, which they said goes to the lender. I have no clue where it goes, but ok. Sales tax, registration, almost $2900, ok. We were now at $5785 due at closing for what I thought would be zero down. Their numbers didnt add up to me, mentioned it to the salesman, he informed us there was also a $995 dealer fee, I think they called it, that wasnt even separately broken out. Again, nice young man, seemed apologetic. We asked to speak to the manager. Wouldnt come to us, we had to go to him. Turned out its Steve, not so friendly this time. Argumentative, talked over us, rude to my wife, etc. Said the $995 was in the small print on the website. (We cant find it except for the catchall fees down there). Our feeling was if the printout said additional fees $650, and only $650, that should be it. If there was more, list it and we would have made the decision from home whether to go ahead or not, and avoided all this unpleasantness. I have the extra $1484 (even with that their math didnt add up). It just struck me as unfair. At this point things got heated, I cursed at him, not proud of it, I dont like getting into it with people, I honestly cant remember doing that to another person in my life. He cursed back at me, my wife tried to be the voice of reason, made no difference. We left, never to come back. This experience almost makes me want to give up driving if it means experiencing this at another dealership, but that isnt an option. I would give zero stars if I could. Unbelievable. Is it that hard to be transparent?
