I have eaten at Pizza Flame for over 40 years and they have the most delicious foods. A couple favorites are the pizzas b cause of the amazing sauce and crust. A favorite desert is there chocolate cake. I’m having some delivered tonight. I can’t wait!
I had to wait almost 1 hour and a half for my food. My server was pretty nice, not her fault. The spaghetti noodles were served kind of cold and wet. When I went to check out, this shorter older guy took the check out of my hand and did not even say hello or asked how the food was. Whatever, shook it off, just thought maybe he’s just having a bad day. However, when he checked out the family who were behind us and not colored, were greeted with a “Hello! How was everything here today?” Not sure but I felt pretty discriminated and uncomfortable. Probably not going to go back due to the poor customer service.
If you like Angenos pizza your going to really love pizza flame as this is where the inception of Angenos began over fifty years.The pizza here is beyond amazingly awesome as is the garlic cheese bread that is homemade from scratch.

First Time ordering from this company spent over $70 for two medium pizzas shrimp fettuccine pasta salad garlic cheese bread it all arrived cold it’s the worst food I’ve ever eaten I will never go back there and they didn’t even give marinara sauce for the garlic cheese breadSpoke the owner in regards to my concerns he sent out a large pizza and cheese bread with sauce, I must say it was a great pizza and bread. Delivery driver pulled up on the grass of the property. Gave him a $5+ tip on a less than $20 order.Told them please dont pull up on the grass next time. This is an association, aka private property. They take this seriously.After being nice, he gave minor excuses before peeling off squealing tires.This area is a 10 mph zone. He was going 20 minimum. 0 star recommendation!!*Edit*All that was needed was the delivery driver saying sorry I wont do it again.Instead he said it was our fault.Wont be coming back again
The driver parked in my front yard and peeled up and tore apart all of the grass in my front yard. It was a multi $100 fix I called the company to complain about it and they did not do anything about the driver. The driver still works there and Im sure its still tearing up peoples yards he is 61 years old and does not know how to treat people correctly. If you care about yourself or your family you will not order from this company. They put me and my family in danger with their recklessness and refused to fire the employee that is responsible.

Pizza Flame is a super secret, amazingly nostalgic pizza joint stuck in a time warp! Despite maintaining all of the original decor from the 80s, its very clean and well maintained. Best of all, they make a killer thin crust pie. They have a few other tasty Italian items, but Ive only had them on accident since the pizza is what Im after. Their staff is generally very courteous and prompt. Check it out for a little old-school date night or family night prior to going to a movie or walk down at Coon Rapids Regional Dam Park.
How can they make money if they wont answer the phone have had this happen on numerous times I give 5 stars only on the pizza

One of the best pizzarias this side of the Mississippi! Garlic cheese bread is outstanding, antipasto salad is always a great choice. Their original thin crust house specialty is a winner every time.Ive been eating this pizza since I first cut my teeth some 30 something years ago. And am super glad I am back in CR so I can eat this again!

Best pizza in town!! Did forget to put mushrooms on. Had deep dish pizza on Oct. 16 in dining room. Waited 50 min. Pizza was BURNT!!!!!! I asked waitress if she thought it was BURNT, she said kind of. She asked if I wanted another pizza. Gave us 50% off the bpizza. WONT BE BACK!! Long time customer. 30 yrs.

Pizza Flame has always been my favorite pizza! They fix it just like we want, well done. We always have the house special, they know which table we like, greet us warmly and even remember what we usually get. They are attentive of their guests! If you havent already been there, give them a try. Price wise I think they are about the same as most greatpizza places.

VERY VERY difficult to find pizza of this quality , its hands down the best pizza around . Im hopeful that Pizza Flame will put a new store up near or in the Alexandria Mn area ..., were in bad need for some really good pizza around this town .
The pizza is very good. One of the best Ive had. The atmosphere is quaint so to speak. Nothing special. Staff was very attentive and friendly. They need to do something about exhausting all the smoke from the oven though. It was hazy and after 30 minutes eyes were irritated. I ordered take out the next day and same smoky haze. Pizza was as good as the night before. Highly recommend
FANTASTIC thin crust pizza. “Simply the Best” is their motto and it’s 100% true. I’ve been going there since I was a kid, which includes a couple of birthdays. I also met Randal McDaniel, hall of famer of the Minnesota Vikings, here and got his autograph. I love this place and recommend it to all my friends!
We tried Pizza Flame upon recommendation last night for the first time. The cheese bread was not very cheesy at all and the cheese was only down the center of the bread, which made the edges hard and inedible. The deep dish was maybe thick crust but certainly not what I’d consider deep dish. I was sadly disappointed after reading the other mostly very positive reviews and having it recommended by a coworker. Not sure we’ll be back.

I grew up ordering Pizza Flame, it was a family favorite. We had stopped ordering from Pizza Flame a year ago because they consistently got our order wrong. My husband wanted Pizza Flame for Fathers Day. We ordered carry out, got it home and it was not as ordered, and was not good. We threw most of it in the garbage. We will no longer be Pizza Flame customers.
Pizza is still great, even after a 45 minute drive home.
Really good pizza but I was dismayed the staff was not wearing masks when I went in to pick up my order last night. I’ll come back after the pandemic is over.Edit. Waiting 11 months to respond is worse than not responding at all. Masks arent a struggle. You just put one on.
It had been a long time since Ive been here. Went with my daughter and her friend. We each ordered our own pizzas. I had a Thin crust, green olives, pepperoni and Xtra cheese. Really good pizza. Small and friendly, welcoming on a cold night. Not so busy the weeknight we were there. The smells were delicious. My husband and I used to eat here often years ago. It is just as good as I remember. Good amount of parking, easy access for all.

This place was great. My first time there, but the food and service was great. Prices are fair and their food has a authentic taste. Cheese bread was excellent. They also opened early for private event for us. Restaurant was clean, despite the 80s feel to the place. I will definitely go there again.

I think if your selling Italian food then it should taste like Italian food. The pizza flame food that includes pizza and spaghetti has NO Flavor at all! Its as though as they opened a jar of store bought sauce and heated it up. Their meatballs have no flavor. I put crushed red pepper on mine and it still had NO FLAVOR! You dont get a choice of meatballs or sausage. Its just bland meatballs. I am very disappointed with their food. My opinion

Easily one of my favorite pizza places of all time! Beats the socks off of run of the mill pizza restaurants and chains. The staff is always friendly and the service is generally quick but occasionally has a delay which is understandable when they get as busy as they do sometimes! Pro-tip - sign up for gvdjr birthday club for a free pizza on your birthday! 😀

Simply THE BEST PIZZA around!!! A local privately-owned Coon Rapids (and beyond) go-to and tradition for so many decades, it retains its original appeal nostalgia for those of us born in the 70s who grew up going there with our parents throughout the 80s playing the table arcade games, which are still there. (It, of course, appeals to so many others as well!) The current owner, who is part of the very demographic about which I write, continues to preserve the quality of food (and has made it even better, in my opinion!) and the ambiance we have always expected, admired, and perpetually crave. Awesome job, D! 🤗🍕👍🎉

Good good, friendly staff. No AC or at least a good one in the summer. The staff said its always hot in there. We went there one a day the outside temp was 100. It felt about the same in the building. My family felt bad for the staff having to work in that heat. The ovens make it hotter.
I am really liking the retro feel, which has a 70s feel. I am a really big fan of their food, and I really am looking forward to coming back here.
I love the pizza here. The service is amazing, very attentive and friendly. And the antipasta salad is good as well. Nice beer selection. Only gripe I have is the low quality plates. Small plastic plates for amazing pizza? Im a messy eater as it is last thing I need is a flimsy plastic plate sliding around when Im trying to eat.
