When I visited there was one “homemade” ice cream (pistachio) and about a dozen Cedar Crest flavors. Since I don’t really like pistachio ice cream, I went with a chocolate swirl and birthday cake.The Cedar Crest ice cream is good, but pints cost about 4x what it would cost in the grocery store.It looks like the owner is in the habit of calling anything less than a four star review “fake” so I’m including a picture of their cow-themed ice cream containers.The store was clean and staff were helpful (not masked).

Best ice cream in Minnesota! Love this place. Super friendly staff and they even make some of their own special flavors!! So good! I’m thrilled they are still open until Oct 15. YUM

I’m vegan and I thought it was a good idea to get ice cream here because they have dairy free ice cream. I really was excited to try it, I got the Oreo one and it didn’t taste like vanilla at all. I understand it’s a non dairy ice cream and it will obviously taste different but the taste was more coconut than vanilla. Just wanted to say I wouldn’t recommend.

I just left Collins ice cream off Hanson boulevard where I went with my wife and children, I ordered a single scoop with Play-Doh ice cream and three kids groups with mint chocolate strawberry and dark chocolate. I come here all the time so Im very well aware of the delicious ice cream and great quantity you get for the amount you spend but today was absolutely disappointing there was an older gentleman and an older woman working today the older gentleman is the one who made my ice cream and I essentially paid $20 for four tiny scoops of ice cream that barely even filled the opening of the waffle cones. This was a far cry from the great service I normally receive when I come here which is one or two times a week. I certainly hope that this wasnt the manager or the owner because based off of this one service theres a good chance me and my family will never be coming back here.

Hands down our familys favorite ice cream spot in MN, and thats saying something! Pro tip - any flavor with a pink label is home made on-site by the Cullen family...and they are truly exceptional. Unique flavors, sooooo creamy and delicious.On top of all that, the staff is honest and caring. I accidentally left my wallet on a chair outside (Im an idiot, I know). Got a call from them an hour later that they had it waiting for me safely behind the register. Thank you for your tremendous display of integrity, I truly appreciate you!

Vegan ice cream flavors!? Gluten free cones!? Yes, please! Apparently the regular ice cream is also wonderful, but Im just geeked about the allergy friendly choices.

Its good overall, but they dont make most their own ice cream (its cedar crest, which is available in a grocery store). In my opinion, this place is nothing more special than grocery store ice cream.

Overall disappointed. Went out of our way to try something local instead of a chain store but ice cream was really lacking something. We had three different flavors and all were mediocre at best. Maybe we picked the bottom three offerings but wont be going back.

Seriously love this place! So many flavors to choose from. You can put it in a waffle cone, regular cone or in a cup...there isnt a bad choice. Staff is nice, shop is clean, parking decent. They close for the winter but thats ok, gives you more time to dream about what flavor to choose in the spring!

Best ice cream anywhere

Our favorite ice cream place...we take everyone there. Grandkids love it too! Very friendly, great music, good atmosphere. Pictures of customers enjoying their treats on the walls. Elvis pictures, novelty candies & pop of all different flavors. The Coon Rapids store added more ice cream this year. They have regular ice cream cones, sugar cones, & waffle cones that are made right there fresh in the store. You can get 1/2 scoops & regular scoops (always generous), cups of ice cream, sundaes, & malts. My very favorite flavor is the dark cherry with huge pieces of cherry. See you there!!! Its even worth going around the mess of road construction on Hanson(which is partially closed for the railroad project).

Cullens always has great ice cream and a helpful staff. Our boys love to get a cone here and are always tempted to get candy too but we stick with the ice cream. My sister lives by the owners who are nice people too. Highly recommended!

First time here, really love the selection of ice cream! They had french silk ice cream which not a lot of places have. So definitely my favorite! Plus they have a rewards program too which is even better.

Friendly service and delicious ice cream. We love coconut ice cream and they have a wonderful flavor that includes almond pieces covered in chocolate. Definitely to die for. Our server was a little over generous and we dont expect the same huge servings next time, but it was fun for our first time. It is nice to have another high quality ice cream store in the area.

Very nice people work there. Had my boys with me and after we got our ice cream my son was told a joke by a older gentleman. And after we sat down on their chairs he even took time from working to come out and joke around with my kids. Ice cream varieties are great, but once they are out, you may not see the same flavor the next time.

To be honest, I dont really understand the hype. The store itself is kind of retro and cute and has interesting soda options. However the ice cream was pretty bad. I ordered birthday cake and bubble gum. The birthday cake had huge chunks of old cake smashed in which made a strange texture in the ice cream and kind of ruined it. The bubble gum had actual hard pieces of bubble gum in the ice cream. Ive had bubble gum ice cream before and it has never had bubble gum mixed in because bubble gum is inedible... The bubble gum was old and hard as well. I think there are much better options in the area for ice cream.

Delightful selection of hard serve ice creams in a generous portion, selection of cones is nice. Fresh made waffle cones are a must try. Also a very nice selection of candies and bottled sodas. The creme soda was outstanding.

Lota of ice cream goodness here and the prices are not too shabby. The inside seating and outside seating are sparse, they could definitely up the game on that as who likes to eat and run with ice cream. You need to sit and chillax and enjoy. Great service and moat excellent ice cream. Could use more seating inside and out.

While the ice cream is fabulous, the customer service leaves a little to be desired. I typically take advantage of getting two scoops when I visit this store. The containers for the two scoops is actually a little small compared to the enormous scoops you receive. Tonight, I asked for a larger container to put my two scoops in. I was advised no, the next container was for a pint of ice cream. They would not allow me to get the bigger container for my two scoops. So, I left without any ice cream tonight and will not be going back there. The product can not make a business survive alone, the service must also be stellar. I just saying ...
