Going out of business and everything must go. Even the fixtures have prices. Most of there stuff is 40% off. I got a nice pair of sketchers for $39 vs $65 on the tag :)

This location is closing down. They have 50% off almost everything and more on a bunch of their stuff. Will be going back to get some stuff just to make sure. Hit this place before they close for good and get some really cheap stuff. 12 dollar jeans and such.

Lyle was an excellent cashier and sales associate. He was enthusiastic to interact with and very engaging. Super professional and kind. We appreciated his work today.

Always love the quality of the items offered there. The variety always makes me know I will find not only what I need. But, also save enough money to get some extras. I highly recommend visiting this business.

This is my favorite place to shop. Today I went as needed a new dress for a special time. I took my husband who helped pick out 4 dresses. Not much fun with a mask. Than I asked what the return policy was now. No returns so I left them and went to Kohls. So disappointed as I loved the dresses.

Incredibly awesome staff. I had placed a large order online and we had been hit by an ice storm a few days earlier. I was contemplating how to get my order out to my car when two sales people stated they would help me. They told me to pull my car up then they loaded it for me. I was so very thankful! Every other time Ive shown up to make a purchase or return something, the staff are genuinely helpful and considerate. I love shopping this JCPenney.

I go to the salon there and they are great! Ive been going for years now, they are professional and have awesome stylists for any type of cut, mens or womens. They are reasonably priced and are easy to schedule with.

The people working are usually friendly and helpful. Cashiers are quick and can get you out in a very timely manner. Prices are also in line with all of the other department stores, sometimes even a little cheaper. They will also price match competitors prices and give 5% off. Store is usually pretty clean. Overall enjoy shopping here.

This is one of my favorite stores. Great deals, great merchandise, and staff willing to drop what they are doing to help you. The only thing that was problematic, because they have so much merchandise, was it made it hard to manuver my cart. I was bumping into corners, walls, and display stands. Main aisles were passable but spacing otherwise was only one person being able to get through at a time.

Great store with lots of great stuff, it had amazing sale prices the day we were there. They keep a reasonable amount of help on, and theyre quite well trained and very friendly and helpful. You can find many things you need here and most things are good quality at decent prices.

Ive always liked Penneys and the associates have always been friendly and helpful whenever Ive gone. Reasonable prices for sure and great selections. The customers just tend to trash the clothing areas quicker than the associates can keep them organized.

I bought a coat today it was on sale, originally $120 but on sale for $62 plus I got a 10% off coupon for shopping there black Friday. A lot of coats on sale, it was hard to decide. Definitely will shop there when I get my back to college clothes in January. Clean store and great customer service

Had a poor experience, long wait then supposed to get 25% with coupon I presented, when I got to car checked receipt and no discount, so scanner mustnt of worked. Did not want to take more time to go back into store...the cashier was nice

This location was a huge mess. I had 4 items that I was going to purchase. It was a buy one get the 2nd 50%off. I go to checkout counter to find out one item was new, one item was on sale and the other 2 items were different brands so I could not use the buy one get 50% off. If items were on the correct racks and pricing was clearly stated, I wouldnt have left empty handed.

Lots of stock you can find all the sizes you need, including tall men. I have two at my home so very important to me. Hard to find elsewhere unless you want to order. Youd think in MN with all the Scandinavian heritage youd find tall sizes easier for men and women. Youll find it here!! Helpful staff. Had a great experience made for enjoyable shopping and no returns needed.

I am not happy that I paid for something with my credit card and then turned around within a minute and paid my credit card off and I returned an item and I cannot get my money back I have to take a store credit I shop at Penneys occasionally so I could be there next week or I could be there 6 months from now and Im stuck with a credit on my card Im not happy about that but Ive been a customer there for 50 years because I raised for children there and 13 grandchildren through there so I have been a good customer but it doesnt mean Im going to turn around and spend that credit right away. And I feel their quality was better years ago thats just my opinion

Had a difficult time finding someone to help me when I entered and ended up walking around for a few minutes until I found the returns counter. The associate who assisted me was very helpful and polite.

I love the woman I worked with for the window treatments! We had a great time together. I always have shopped here for curtains and such. Just love the store and most of the prices are right.

Would not go back. Waited in line for about a half hour. Only to get home and realize a security tag is still on a shirt I purchased. Went back with the shirt and they WOULD NOT remove the security tag. So not I wasted an hours time and $28 on a shirt that I can never wear.

They have cute but cheap stuff.

Closing sale was a joke. Original prices seemed jacked up so clearance prices werent a very good deal.

Experience at the jewelry counter to get two watch batteries replaced was...pretty awful. It took about 5 minutes of standing at the counter (with someone helping another customer, and a manager flitting around the area) to even be acknowledged, and that was by someone who wasnt even working the jewelry counter. The next 10 minutes was this (very nice) worker changing the battery of one watch, and waiting for another employee for help with the other battery. The last 5 minutes was made up of banter between this employee and another (fairly rude) manager. Not a great experience.

Good discount prices on everything...

The store is ok. For the most part it looks clean but there are areas where it consistantly needs attention. There are any areas that seem to be ignored (jewelry, clearance, toys). The employees, if you can find them, smile and maybe greet you but mostly you are on your own whether you know where to find things or not.

Truth be told I used to work for the company that runs the portrait studio, but the salon is SUPERB! They are all so kind and helpful.

I only had a short time to shop, looking for a nice outfit for Christmas. I walked through my size dept and through the clearance items. They have some nice pieces, but their prices are very high. I could not afford any there. JC Penney used to be a very reasonably priced go-to department store, but I guess times have changed. I was disappointed.

This place does not have price check scanners. So if you wanna check on the price of something, especially if there is a sale going on, you have to download their app and type in the SKU number. I tried asking multiple staff members to help me with price checking my stuff and they were all very rude, especially the manager! She asked me if I needed help and I said yes. She took me to the nearest cash register and helped another customer instead! She took so long that I had to walk away. You are pressured constantly to sign up for their credit card. You do not earn any reward points unless you have a JCP credit card. Now I see why JCP is failing. I would rather take my money down the street to Kohls!

Sometimes the best place to shop is to go back to a tried and true store. My 14 year old grand daughter needed a swimsuit for an upcoming vacation. We had looked at 3 stores and could not find a cutemodest suit. Went to JCPENNEY and found exactly what she wanted! Only frustration was the lack of floor staff to direct us to the correct areas.

Ordered a stuffed moana pig and some how they managed to mix that up with an xs kids coat. My package said plushable... how do you do that. They gave me my money back but I shouldnt have had to go through the trouble of begging them to give me my shipping plus the cost of the item. 0/5 if I could

Youll never know what the price is on any item. There are no price check machines, so you have to go to the check out. Lines are long because there arnt enough cashiers. If you need to do returns- forget it if you dont want to wait for a manager to figure it out for the clerks. Dont mean to be a Debbie Downer but its happened to us every time we have been there. Much better off going to Kohls or shop online...they need to update their computers or something.

I came to shop the Sephora at this jcpenny about a month ago.The lady that was helping me was named Rebecca she was completely unknowledgeable. I specifically asked for a moisturizer with NO oil in it and she told me the drunk elephant protini was HER FAVORITE and it has all theses amazing benefits. Come to find out I have been breaking out from it because there is Sclerocarya Birrea Seed oil AKA Marula oil!, to much of my disappointment I tried to return it but I couldnt because it was past 30 days!, which she never mentioned!. Im also appalled that I found out she is the STORE MANAGER because I asked to speak to them,how embarrassing of the lack of training and or career choice. Not to be rude but cosmetics is a lot more than selling your favorites and hoping for the best. I wont be back until you have a better trained Sephora store manager. Plus she tried to get me to open a jcpenny credit card 4 times while she was checking me out!, LADY!! I shop only in pennies to go to Sephora!, I dont want a damn jcpenny card I dont care if I can use it at Sephora and double dip in rewards which just sounds gross and off putting. NO ONE wants a jcpenny credit card!. I said NO TWICE!, but you kept pressing the issue!. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE DO NOT SHOP HERE!

Complete disappointment. Seems no matter when I stop in its always slim to none in my size when it comes to casual button down collar shirts or 100% cotton tees (XL). Today I managed to find one bag of 36 waist briefs in amongst a pelifera of boxers and boxer brief hy-bird that nobody who shops Pennys seems to want. Then throw in all the torn open bags shoved back into the racks, its obvious that the management has no pride in their stores and buyers have no understanding of who market truly is. Ive tried to stay loyal to the Pennys brand I grew up with but Im done. I hope they find their way.

Went in with my two boys (5, 2) to pick up an online order. Asked, and went back to housewares to wait. Two people ahead of me. The lady at the register looked about ready to fall asleep and going as slow as possible. The woman in front of me looked annoyed at the speed as well. My boys were restless and whining, and so I went up and asked if I could move things along and get my order from another register. She proceeded to tell me where to stick it and made a comment under her breath about me throwing an adult tantrum. I walked out with my boys. My oldest even commented on how rude this employee was. I am working with a manager now on how to rectify the situation. Blown away by how this store treats customers who spend their hard-earned money here. Wouldn’t be surprised if the whole chain shut down after this experience. Can’t say I’d be too upset.

We were looking for husky sized clothes for our son and found some here. It was busy but organized. Went to Sephora to get Chanel products but they did not sell them there. The associate at Sephora did tell us what mall and store we could find them.

Very disorganized store. One employee was helpful. The others looked at me like I had the black plague.Helpful hint JCPenney. Most men dont want to hunt for jeans. Maybe you could organize that department a little. So in short I gave up and went to the Duluth Trading Company to buy jeans.

Awesome place and cool staff listened to ship my pants with me!

All the workers were so nice in helping us find our clothing. Unlike the snobby girls that worked in the makeup department. Made my daughter and I wait a long time before helping us and they didnt even offer to help show how to put some makeup on. I know I didnt look my best because I just got done at the gym. So we went to Ulta and got made up there, spent 300 at Ulta instead.

From a mens clothing style standpoint JCPenny has some decent business casual and business options. Price point wise JCPENNY has some decent sales but overall prices are fairly average. This store reminds day me of Kohls but with an appliance section.

The customer service representative was awesome she went above and beyond to make sure I could cover a large stuffed animal that I purchased because its snowing so much I didnt want it to get wet thank you

No wonder Penneys is going under. Not only do they not have any original ideas (they stole the Kohls Cash idea), but then after stealing it, they cant even implement it correctly. I spent $50, so you would think that you leave with a $10 coupon for your next visit? Right? No, they explained it will pop up after you leave. After I leave? Whens it for? Does it expire? I want to see it to make sure I have it. It doesnt work that way. Whatever.Good luck.

They shut the dang lights off at exactly 9pm on us as we were walking out of the store. Let me find the exit before you shut them off on me!! Wont be going back there. Great buys but fell on the escalator and they said it was the responsibility of the escalator company and escalator company said it was Pennys problem. They just pasted it back and forth and didnt car about us!!

I am very pleased with the Salon service I received today my stylist was amazing beyond my expectations.

Looking for a dishwasher found one marked down to $250 after waiting around for half an hour they tell me theres a delivery charge of $150 for store pickup or to my home.I dont think you should bother going here for dishwashers I can get this kind of treatment from bad websites.

I live me my JC Penney. The Riverdale store is kept pretty well stocked with inventory. The retail staff is knowledgeable and keep the clothing and jewelery in order.
