Got a great deal on a piece of jewelery. Have to check out the clearance section while there. Great deals just not.in clothing.

Not that this is the stores fault but ordered via on-line and paid for 3 pairs of 👖 and a week later two pairs were canceled with refund issued a week plus later. If you advertise on the internet it would be nice if you actually had what people are buying. How hard is it to update inventory. Hire some folks in India.....

Hadnt been shopping in a long time. I needed shorts for work and they have longer shorts that are decent length for working. They had a great sale. I bought 4 pair.

Rachel (the manager) @ the salon was awesome. She always does exactly what I ask her to or if Im undecided, she gives me ideas & helps me decide. Also met a couple of the other stylists that work there today & theyre just really nice ppl.

I went in to get another Cooks brand coffee maker to replace one I have had for quite a while. There werent any Cooks brand makers at all. There were a couple of Black and Decker single serve, 12 cup, and a Keurig maker. I picked the 12 cup B & Decker and walked to the checkout.(5 minutes)I stood for 12 minutes waiting to be checked out. While talk of all the coupons, getting the customers phone number, email, talking about percentage off particular items, etc., went on, I stood there waiting. I just feel there needs to be a faster way to check out.

Im not very well impressed with the store even though the young lady that helped me find what I was looking for was very helpful I give her five stars dont remember her name but shes from Puerto Rico. Other than that that was the only good experience I dont shop pennies overpriced clothing, I was only there because somebody had give me a gift card.

No selection... everytime I have gone there in the last 2 years it has looked like they were going out of business.

Its Christmas time and had great service just like I do at every Christmas when I go in there shopping it wasnt overly crowded everybody pretty much had a mask on I was looking at jewelry and they had some really good sales going on the store manager was actually helping in the jewelry section and was helping me and I had him open probably 8 or 9 different cases I looked at probably 15 or 20 different rings and when I finally found the ones that I liked I walked out of there with a $2,500 discountif youre in cook for and your Christmas shopping for your wife or girlfriend and are looking for jewelry I definitely recommend going in JCPenneys

My husband and I went in to buy a birthstone necklace & earrings for our daughters 8th birthday(as thats all she had really asked for) and man were we having a time on narrowing down- I found it, this is the one, aww but look at these, here this suites her, what about this & these though, I think shed love this or these, & so on... Almost to the point we both were getting headaches 🙃. But then the sales lady working at the jewelry counter said is there anyway I might can help...when I told her why we were there she said well we have some nice stuff over here & its on sale!(a bonus; fine quality jewelry & at an Awesome bargain!)She was Amazing & Very Nice 2 things that seem difficult to come by these days at any store almost & with the $ we saved from the sale we were able to purchase a protection plan for the next 2 yrs(if ANYTHING broke or stones fell out they would be replaced &/ or fixed at NO cost!)- So we thanked her & told her how grateful we were & how much we appreciated her being so nice & taking the time she did with us. Id Definitely recommend JC Pennys to Anyone for their quality items that wont brake your savings!! Just watch out for their sales!

Walked through didnt actually shop

Terrible. Online order never notified me that it came in. Finally, got a FINAL notice it would be cancelled if I did not pick it up within 2 days. Went to pick it up and it was a partial. No wonder JC Penneys is on its last leg.

Returned a shirt that didnt fit but we couldnt know because they dont let you try on clothes anymore. Seems as though they let go of any employees that have manners.

Great selection of clothes with some good high quality brands. We went to find a dress for my daughters Spring dance and they had a lot of different choices to match the season. I ended up getting some clothes for my other kids and wife also due to their good selection and prices. I also plan on coming back and getting some Levis and some summer shirts. Also the employees are really nice and helpful and got us a 35% discount by getting us their Pennys card and using it to buy the items and then allowed us to immediately pay it off right there in the same transaction. This also allows us to get 25% on anything purchased with it in the next 24 hours either in store or from their large online selection which has a lot of good discounts and I believe well be taking advantage of that to get my daughters some shoes for the dance also. Store was also very clean and well organized. Its in a great location with plenty of parking spaces since its part of the mall that went out of business. Overall a very enjoyable experience, which is saying something because I usually dont like clothes shopping and was dreading it, and I will be returning to shop here in the near future.

One week before Christmas and there is one person working each counter. This seems poor management to make customers stand 7 deep in line. Elderly are sitting on displays to wait. Pretty sad.

I ordered 8 bras and I got 5 pair of UGLY pajamas. I got a great price ordering bras, when I had to go to the store to correct the order I didnt get the bras at the same price. I ordered on line because I am not physically able to shop ,but I had to go to store anyway.

Great to have a Pennys in town but this store is not the greatest. Its not updated and it obviously gets the cast offs from other stores - which means you can get great deals on stuff! The rest of the mall is basically shut down. Good location, very good deals, friendly salespeople, and I like that I can order online and return to store. So there are lots of pros to this store for sure. But if you are used to a traditional Pennys, you may be disappointed.

My poor review is not entirely directed at JC Penny so much as it is the facility. The rear entrance to the parking lot needs serious work. I had to replace a wheel on my car from the potholes that are a foot deep and at least 6 foot wide.

Ordered online and went into the store to pick up. Instead of a customer service area, you go to any checkout and the register person will go and get your order. Wasnt busy so this method worked out well. After we picked up the items we could try them on and leave if we were happy with the purchase. We hear that Penneys is it financial trouble, but this store looks nice and well stocked. My wife likes to shop there.

It was 88 degrees outside and hotter inside the store. Several ladies including myself were soaking wet from perspiration. It is easy to see why J.C. Pennys will not be around very much longer. They lost a regular customer for good. When I questioned the clerk she was rude and nasty, without ever answering as to why it was so hot in the store.

JCPenney is a great place to shop. Especially for the savvy shopper who combines their awesome high percentage off sales with their frequent coupons they offer. Ive scored some great deals online too.

Where in the world are the carts? They want you to shop but you have to carry everything around with you. REALLY????????

This JC Penney is a nice place. Its a little smaller than most but the selections are still very good. With a nice staff it makes for good shopping. Heck...we even bought our wedding rings here!

Well stocked items. Sure was different than a year ago when we stopped in there. The isles were clear of all that clutter and debrie. The store associates were helpful at check out not like before when they didnt give a damn whether they waited on you or not and actually disgruntled because they had to wait on customers. Pleasant stop and shop this time.

My daughter was very happy to have shopped here. She purchased several Christmas gifts on this first time visit.

This is attached to the Cookeville Mall. Not much of anything else. Very clean and well organized. We just moved to Tennessee. I sure hope Penneys stays open. I find such great buys here.

The staff is friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. I had a pickup order and was allowed to try the items on before I took them home.

I had a great experience. The stylist was very friendly, and did a great job on my hair. I came in with a picture and she got it as close as possible. The prices were a bit higher than expected, thats why not 5 stars. But the service was definitely worth it.

Found exactly what I was looking for!!

The Afro-centric marketing throughout the store makes me feel like theyre desiring other shoppers. Most of the visuals in the store are Africans, which in a.town that is 98% white seems forced. The standard traditional brands that Pennys was known for, have become harder to find in the store e.g. St. Johns Bay etc. Even with.large discount coupons, were finding little to purchase. Pennys needs to do some market analysis and return.to their core business. Im not changing my styles to match their marketing.

I ordered alot of Christmas gifts from JCPenney online.they all came before Christmas with standard shipping and free .I had only one problem.I ordered socks that were bigger than what they sent.i took socks back today to the local store .I was able to exchange with ease . Customer service was friendly .

Great place to shop

One of the few stores I have ever found a Juniors plus section at. Usually have specials going on and can find what I need at a great price.

Like with many small format JCPenney stores, this one suffers from being cluttered as corporate probably mandates staff cram as much inventory on the sales floor as possible. I feel the store would benefit greatly if they were to downsize how much merch is shown on the sales floor, or expand the store.

This is a smaller Penneys. Wish they would build a new modern store in Cookeville Tennessee. Great sales though and did you know that Penney Stores allow coupon pyramiding?

The cashier forced us out of the store after driving an hour one way to specifically go to JCPenney in Cookeville, TN and they didnt close until 6 p.m. and it was only 5:30pm and she literally forced us out of the store and cursed us!
