What a charachter! Smart, lots of esoteric knowledge. My 1964 starter was a bit too much for the system though. After it couldnt be repaired there it began an oddesy of being shipped all over the USA looking for a field winding. To the tune of around $230.00 that I couldnt really afford to spend. This is something that used to be made, and repaired by electric motor shops.Friendly people with positive attitudes, but unfortunately not as skilled an operation as they once were. Probably still great for day to day problems with modern equipment but they werent able to offer me a starter solution for my 1964 application. Ended up taking it to a place one state away, and they had a solution on the shelf. Problem solved in under an hour.C- for effort.Appears to be achieving below apparent abilities...

I took my electric motor for my hot tub to them. It was locked up and wouldn’t turn. They rebuild the entire motor and it runs just like new again. They do great work. I’ve taken several electric motors to them over the years and have had no issues with their work.

This is the closest place for me to get a sump pump repaired. The owner day was an amazing man who keeps a mental inventory of his massive warehouse of motors and electrical parts. He was able to get the manufacturer to replace the broken sump pump with a brand new one.

I’ve dealt with Dave for over 20 years. He still remembers the first time I was in there. As far as the stacked up shop, don’t judge his knowledge or competence on that. He always has helped me with what I need, and needed to know to fix it myself. It is something rare to find in this day & age. I could go elsewhere, but if I can I will always go to this shop run by a nice Christian man.

I took my generator to them spent close to a hour with the guys inside explaining what it was and what it was for after looking at the shop I don’t see how they get anything done because you can’t even walk in the place but I decided to give them a chance to fix my part now almost two weeks later they have not even made an attempt to fix it or let me know anything about it until I called and asked just a very poor way of doing business

It frustrates me to read negative reviews by people who seemingly never conducted business with an establishment; as is the appearance of @Chris Frey’s review. I used this shop several years ago for warranty work on my Ridgid planer and, like @Chris Frey, had concerns because the shop looked like a disorganized mess. When I stopped in a few weeks later to check on the progress, a gentleman (Dave I believe was his name) walked me over to a box stacked among other boxes of seemingly hoarded junk. In that box was my planer, reduced to a pile of pieces. Despite the appearance of being disorganized, he knew exactly where to find my box and what part he was waiting for. Admittedly, I worried my planer would never work again, but about a week later he called and said it was ready, and I picked up my repaired planer, in perfect condition, and running like a Swiss watch.Experience has taught me: 1) don’t make judgments based solely on appearance; 2) recognize that just because someone’s methods differ from your own does not mean their methods are necessarily incorrect, and; 3) some of the most brilliant people in this world appear to others as disorganized scatter-brained individuals when, in reality, their ways are equally, if not more, effective that most.Bottom line: They know their business and perform quality work. Their system works for them and, as long as they can deliver the goods, does it really matter if they organize their shop in an aesthetically pleasing manner? Local shops have survived many years for a reason; they know what they’re doing and have amassed a loyal customer base for that very reason.  A shiny new shop does not a good technician make…
