I had great customer service in all aspects of my visit to this location. Katlyn helped me with the purchase and in picking out the right frames for me. She was not pushy and was very supportive and helpful, and made the purchase as painless as possible.

I had a prescription for contacts a year ago through an eye doctor. The process of them teaching me how to install and remove contacts lasted about 10 minutes, then I was rushed out. It was a joke. The person at the Afton Ridge Target Optical in Kannapolis NC., ( KATLYN ) was more than helpful. She was patient with the process of showing how to install and remove my contacts.I can tell when someone Really cares about what they’re doing, Katlyn did. I highly recommend her.Thank you Katlyn.

Im happy with my glasses thats not the problem... First I work 60 hours a week I can only come in Saturday or Sunday.. so I come in 3:35 pm Sunday to pick up my lenses... Young lady was nice but said Im sorry we dont have a licensed opt... Here so I cant get my lenses... Your open till 4 OClock for what!! so we can look inside but cant do anything... Wow then close Sunday dont go in there for anything on Sunday youll waste your time very frustrated at this place... I know its not young lady fault shes put in a bad situation... If you cant do anything without a licensed op then close the stinking door quit wasting everyones time

We did our glasses as a family - James was excellent, gave good advice and really detailed information. We needed to change out the progressive lenses after a month they would not work with my eyes. Again James assisted with good technical information and customer support.

Small selection but plenty of options. James was friendly and helpful and the prices are so reasonable. They were really good about redoing my lens when I changed my mind about a feature.

My experience at this eye doctor was subpar to say the least. It was a young doctor and without an ounce of cordiality. I asked him a question about something I had read about vision changes and he said rather abruptly “I’ve never heard of that.” Didn’t bother to explain beyond that.He looked altogether irritated that I even asked a question. He barely spoke the whole time and the appointment was all of five minutes. He came across short and bothered.Honestly, I’m wondering if the prescription he gave us even accurate given how quick the exam was. I won’t make an eye appt here again.

We had a 12:30pm appointment. We were left waiting outside of eye center due to Covid & didn’t get helped until 12:35pm. The doctor was scheduled for lunch at 12:45pm and left early so we were unable to be seen. The only reason the his receptionist could say was you weren’t here....because we were standing outside waiting on their staff to check us in. They had the insurance information I had give on the phone wrong! The doctors receptionist was only concerned as to how I was paying & not that the doctor had left early & we were unable to be seen! Highly unprofessional!!

They couldnt follow my prescription and make glasses I can see through. No one else has this problem. Ill never come back.

Was given a trial pair of contact lenses and the left lens tore on the second day. I went back and asked for a replacement only to be told they couldnt give me one I just had to buy them. I am not going to buy contact lenses that tear easily and I am not sure will even work for me. I was not offered any other options such as trying out a different brand, and they did not seem interested in helping me at all. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Just got the new transitional contact lenses! Very cool. Its not quite like wearing sunglasses but its very good for light sensitivity if youre regularly squinting in mild sunlight and your eyes dont look crazy when they go dark its like going from blue to brown eyes in the sunlight. Comfortable contacts great for daily wear.

Had new glasses, not bought from Target Optical, that badly needed ear piece adjustment to fit my head more tightly. The gentleman helped me right away, was extremely courteous and professional, and did not charge me a thing for the service. I would highly recommend this place.

Went a couple months ago, and my pleasant experience has stayed in my mind. Dr. Noonan and his assistant were wonderful and informative. I really felt like they had my best interests at heart. They were very kind and helpful & they didnt try to push any type of sale on me. The retail side of things was also great. Told them I was going to order glasses online, but wanted to see their contact prices. They didnt bother me/push me to buy their glasses & they were also great to work with. Would recommend to everyone!!

Dr Page really took the time to talk with me about my eyesight and took the time to get to know me a little bit. I didnt feel like just another patient to him. The receptionist outside his door, along with the staff at checkout went above and beyond to make my experience comfortable. Quick, efficient and honest! My family will definitely be returning.

Needed new nose pads for glasses. Thought I’d buy some at Target Optical. They said they didn’t sell them, but they’d give me some free. They installed the pads, adjusted them, cleaned my lenses. And my eyeglasses weren’t bought at Target. My next pair might be. Great service.

A screw needed replaced on my daughters glasses. I did not purchase the glasses there but the representative was very nice and took the time to fix them for me. I also noticed that they had a decent selection of frames and I will definitely visit the next time I need glasses.

Didnt catch his name, but the young gentleman helped my father repair his glasses. He was super friendly and incredibly helpful! Highly recommend this location.

Very overcrowded, stood in a make-shift line right behind the first set of customers for 20 minutes without any acknowledgement! When my name was called, I was walked outside and to a storage closet next door, the lady (who didn’t introduce her name) was kind but not talkative. Next, I stepped into the exam room, which again was about the size of a small bathroom. The “doctor” dismissed my concerns while shrugging his shoulders. The “doctor” also made a few smart a** remarks in regards to my concerns! The exam took roughly 5 minutes, and afterwards, the lady in the storage room said “just walk next door”. There was no, “thank you visiting”, “have a nice day”, or anything. I will not be returning, and you shouldn’t waste your time and money on this place!

Dont go! They wont spend any time to answer any questions and its taken 2 times and 2 visits (so far) to get my glasses the right prescription. I dont even know if theyll be right when I go back. The ladies that help with glasses are very nice and helpful but dont go for an exam unless you are desperate!

2 months later. Still cant find my husband glasses and has to reorder every time I call.

I didnt see the dr at this location, but I took my prescription in. They helped me find the best frames, made sure my complicated prescription would work and adjusted my frames after so they would be comfortable. I received excellent customer service from everyone!!

The optometrist was thorough and concise. I have an unusual sight problem and although it couldnt be diagnosed he ruled out everything that he could on my visit.As far as the sales people on the other side of the office, they were extremely busy the day I went and I saw nothing but professional attitude. When under pressure some people take out their frustration on others, I did not see that here. I have no idea who gave the bad reviews prior to mine, but I saw no fault in this business from my perspective.

Bad experience from start to finish. Receptionist allowed another appointment to go ahead of us even though we arrived on time, delaying our appt by 40 minutes. Waiting area was extremely tight and uncomfortable. The doctor looked like he should have retired 20 years ago and was barely intelligible. Awful experience from start to finish, now Ill be needing to set up another appointment elsewhere to get a correct diagnosis. Doctor also had to keep opening the door to the exam room because he felt claustrophobic.

Doctor is great and the exam is quick.The eye glass center will flat out refuse to measure you for glasses unless you purchase from them. Very frustrating to deal with. Probably will not be returning for this reason.

Dont trust the doctor. And definitely not a place to go if youre a military veteran not friendly towards me at all.

The staff is very friendly and we were in and out very quickly. Recommend.

I have been into this location a few times now, and I always seem to deal with the same Asian lady. Shes very rude and ended up making me feel very bad about myself when trying on glasses. I also called for an update on my glasses being ready, and she was very short and snippy...saying they would call as soon as they came in and did her best to get off the phone as soon as possible. I understand she might have been busy, but I am a customer too and I am paying good money for a service. I really dont appreciate her being rude and hurting my feelings....but she is also the only one that has answered the phone when I call.I was not super thrilled with Dr. Bynum either. He had a very interesting bedside manner and wrote my prescription in a way that only their office could really understand....When I called to get clarification to possibly order my glasses online, they would not help me because it was not with their office. Just not super happy with my decision to get my eyes checked or buy glasses here... :-(

Horrible experience. The protective coating started peeling off within 6 mos. I took them back, and because I did not purchase the warranty, I was out of luck! They lied and said some chemical must have gotten on it....yea right!! I dont work with acid! Never again.
