We have been to Buzzed Viking twice and were met, both times, with hospitality and exceptional service. The beer is stellar, you can taste the quality! Hey, the food is really good too! If you are looking for a really chill place with awesome beer, awesome food and awesome service, look no further...Buzzed Viking is the place. We are about 3 1/2 hours away but my wife and I are planning on visiting Concord next month to brewery hop. Buzzed Viking will absolutely be our first stop. Well I normally don’t like to complain but I will this time unfortunately. I would love to give this place 5 stars because the beer and the mead are absolutely wonderful but we had problems regarding our service. We were there for about 2 hours and at first the service was good but by the end of the night it had gone sour. We were in the corner which may have had a factor but still it shouldn’t have. We ordered a piece of key lime pie and some growlers and the waitress didn’t even put them in and so I went to the bar and asked the other waitress and the pie still was not put in. We are going to give this place another try because again the beer and mead is amazing but hopefully the next time the service will be better.

Great Mead, great food, great beer, and great vibe. The art on the wall is fantastic, combined with the halarious beer plate wall you cant go wrong! Dont forget the deck and patio if you would like to enjoy your meal away from the bar. Skol!

Sparce food menu. Pizza was typical flatbread but piled with meat and tasty. Nice atmosphere and good service. Good beer selection but growlers refills are $25.. really? 4 pints for takeout.... if I do go back Ill just stop for a $10 6 pack on the way home

While our first experience here wasnt ideal, Jon, the owner was determined to make it right. This is a family owned business that is dedicated and determined to quality and customer service. Katelynn the bartender made great recommendations, red clay cider for me and Valkyrie IPA for my husband. We started inside with some mozzarella sticks (delicious!) and then moved outside for pizza and wings. The wings had great flavor, while a bit small, they were really tasty and not wet! But the real show stopper was the pizza! We absolutely loved the pepperoni pizza with fresh NY pepperoni, and we took the bartender recommendations and tried the Smoke Pitt pizza as well. These individual size pizza are very generous and easy to share. Both were phenomenal. So many times you get terrible service outside but our great service was continued both in and outdoors. The cook, Chucho was so friendly and brought us our pizza, he was very knowledgeable and told us about the fresh ingredients used. He and every other person we came in contact with was concerned with aa great experience and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The abuzz avikibg made lifelong customers tonight and we cant wait to return!! We support local and we support the Buzzed Viking!

First entered into the establishment with a pretty good vibe, but the service didn’t match. I waited I believe 15 mins to be acknowledged and serviced. After taken my order my beer was brought out fast, but no bar napkin. I know this seems micromanaging but my beer spilled when she dropped off the beer, it would have been nice to have that to clean it up, she did not address me and ask if I would like anything to eat. I would think the logic of a server would be the more I order the bigger the tip, but I guess she just didn’t think about it or was concerned of other things. As I sat my server circled periodically and checked on everyone but me. I have understand you do not want to be annoying, but it would be nice to be asked if I would like anything to eat, or are you just drinking tonight? Maybe it was because I was by myself and she realized her tip would not be as large compared to other parties around me. All in all I was just very upset with my first time experience at Viking brewery. I’m sure I am an outlier because it seems like this place has good reviews, it just wasn’t a good experience to me.

Come check out the girls at buzzed viking! They are all decked out for spooky season. Everything is so awesome!! The wall took 6 hours to do!! Comedy night is so fun to attend too. Hilarious!

Great food recommended the Mr. Majestic or Thunder Balls, very friendly staff even when busy they try there best to get to you in a timely manner, always checking up on you and great beer. Thanks Sarah, Jess for beer, John for checking up on me and talking, and the cooks which I believe were both named Alex for the great food, cant wait to come back.

We’ve enjoyed the taproom many times but our favorite encounter was this past weekend when the beer truck was at Riverwalk RV Park. Big John was great! His day started out rough with traffic delays but he eventually showed up, stuck out the rain storm, and stayed late to make up for the lost time to serve those of us camping. Super fun guy who seems to really enjoy what he does by engaging with his customers. We hope to run into him at the taproom soon.

Amazing atmosphere. Awesome food. The pizza is perfect I had the Smoke Pit pie. Good portion of toppings. Great staff, the bartenders are very informational. The craft beer is to die for! The Midnight Special is my favorite! I also recommend mixing beer and mead together! Will come again!10/10

Even just placing an order was made confusing by our server. He needed to run all of our debit cards before we even ordered food, even though one of us wanted to pay cash and none of us needed to open a tab. One of us ordered pretzel bites and went up to the bar about 10 minutes later to check and the order was never even put in. The pizza is pretty tasty, but the extremely mediocre service makes you not want to come back.

Formally Commoners Brewery, my first experience was nice. Open atmosphere, dog friendly and accessible location just off of I-85. Clean restrooms with friendly staff and patrons.

I cant think of a single negative thing to say about this place. The atmosphere was amazing, the staff was super friendly, they had a great beer selection, and the food was to die for.

Overall a great experience. They had a good mix of beers and mead on tap, as well as, a red and white wine available and a cider from a local place. The bartenders were friendly and helpful with opinions on drinks and food. The food came out in a decent time and was good. Its a great place to check out for a casual afternoon drink.

Both my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit here. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is perfect for having a good time with friends. The brews are superb, hands down our favorite breweries around here or in charlotte. Be sure to check it out, and bring some friends!

Stopped at Buzzed Viking while in town for a super quick drink before an appointment. The staff greeted us right away and were friendly and helpful pointing out the menu and pouring samples, really appreciated! Between my fiance and I we were able to try the Sun-kissed Orange Mead, Warhammer, Ironside, and Loki Pilsner. Unfortunately, the Loki Pilsner was the only out of the four that was alright. One of the IPAs tasted diacetyl and we also noticed that the taps were being submerged while our beers were being poured. Now Ive only been here once and quickly, so take with grain of salt. Four stars because the staff was so friendly, the atmosphere was really nice/inviting, and sounds like they have neat events and entertainment. I cant say about the food, but really didnt enjoy the beverages we tried. It seems like this place has some cool potential though and I hope maybe they could improve the quality of the beverages and help the staff out with some beer service training.

Very much enjoyed the blackberry mead mixed with warhammer IPA. TRex pie was really good too!

Met some friends. Beer was ok. 2 in our party had hard cider and the said it was hoppy. We ordered some food. There were pretzel bites that were dry and not very tasty. The chicken wings tasted like they were frozen chicken wings like you get at the grocery store that were not even fully heated it up. The wings were fatty and no crispness whatsoever.We ordered four different kinds of pizzas and honestly they were probably the worst pizza ever ate. It was some thin flat crackery bread with stuff on it. The crackery bread was soggy on the bottom. The sauce was kind of like Ragu and there was a paucity of cheese. One was supposed to be a Smokehouse pizza with smoked chicken and ham. There were small diced pieces of stuff on it but I really could not identify what they were. They tasted like microwave pizzas.There was a jalapeno ravioli appetizer that was quite tasty. Service was mediocre at best.I wont be returning to this one. This Viking ship has sailedIn response to the owner:I cannot attest to the hoppiness but the 2 individuals who had it both said it was hoppy. My daughter out of the blue yesterday said those were the worst wings she ever had. As I stated, they seemed like the TGIF wings you buy in the grocery store and heat up. I doubt they ever saw the inside of a fryer. FYI, the WSJ had a nice recipe for crispy wings without frying about a week ago. I used that technique in the past and they were much more crispy.

Sorry for the three stars. Maybe that was too harsh. The staff was great. Funny engaging and polite. I was disappointed that three of the common beers I wanted to taste on my board were unavailable. Sour, light ale and red. The red would have been there later in the day.

This place is great. A nice smaller brewery area that has recently added pretzel bites and beer to their menu. The pizza was AMAZING and the pretzel bites were really really good. The only suggestion I would add is to give little plates for the pizza. The pizza was hot and so so cheesy, which I loved but that also made it hard to eat with no plates or silverware. But besides that the environment is great, tons of seating inside and out. The staff is really nice and friendly and we were even greeted by a sweet dog. They also have a lot of community events which is also fun. I would definitely recommend this place.

The mead is outrageously good. The Vikings Blood was particularly good. Wasnt disappointed by the beer either! Honey brown was fantastic. Definitely worth the trip!

Service was a bit slow. The selection of beers was good. The food is typical bar food. Dont recommend the ravioli... came out still partially frozen. Pizza was pretty good. Entrainment by Country Joe was the best part of the experience.

Been here a handful of times; the beer is great, atmosphere is awesome, and they have AMAZING pizza. Tried several pizzas here and loved every single one of them.

Awesome place with a decent selection of local brews! As well some meads and wine to choose from. The pizzas were fantastic light thin and crispy! The appetizer fits the scene well as a brewing company. The nachos, fried cheese sticks and pretzel bites were great. The service and the atmosphere is open and classy feeling in a way. There is indoor and outdoor seating as you choose. Overall this place deserves a 4.5 out of 5 for what it is.

We live out of town, but always make sure to stop by the Buzzed Viking for a couple drinks when in Concord visiting family. We always receive outstanding service and enjoy the open, roomy interior, as well as the comfortable outside seating. First time here i had a flight, all the beer was excellent. They also have several meads to chose from. I had the vikings blood it was also excellent.The place was clean live music was good, im looking forward to my next vist to Buzzed Viking!!

Down from Asheville to visit my brother. Had checked this place out on-line and we decided to give it a try. We arrived around 430-500. There were no other patrons at that time. Two employees greet us. They were nice—lacking a little energy—but nice folks. We ordered a couple beers(which we enjoyed) and then nachos. Took a while to bring the nachos and when they arrived my brother and I sorta looked at them and each other. Served in a flimsy type paper trey with lukewarm cheese and a couple small chicken bites. Took about 15 minutes to bring them and, again, the place was empty. They were not the quality one might expect in such a venue. My brother said it was like something “you would get at a high school football game”. It won’t keep us from going back, for sure, but just something about the entire visit didn’t make us leave and go “yeah, definitely a place to visit again”. For me to write this kind of review means something just didn’t seem right.Thanks.

The owners which are Mike and Sherry and Jon Are so courteousAnd so incredibly helpfulThey are Always concerned aboutYou having a positive And fun experience here. The cook Chucho was very fun and kind.The bartenders Rebecca and SARAH! were knowledgeable and were very fun to interact with. I then tried one of their what they call Individual Pizzas and was greeted with an obviously hand made crust (which is good to me because I know its not just some frozen boxed pizza that was bought from Walmart and popped in the microwave in the back) the cheese was plenty and loaded with a generous amount of toppings.And it was a damn good price.The wings were excellent and they werent soggy.Plus they always have great music or some kind of event here that keeps you wanting to come back for more And to top it all off they have a great outdoor seating area that is well lit but the lights arent over powering and obnoxious. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place to anyone in the area.Anyone is welcomed here and you get the satisfaction of knowing youre supporting a local and family owned business which are becoming more and more rare these days.They even have an event trailer now that you can book it is essentially a Tap room on wheels. You will definitely stand out at your wedding,graduation party, Anniversary or whatever event you plan if you hire them to cater there.

Delicious beer that gets you drunk

I came for a night out with my friend and my brother and got here decently early and was told we could sit outside. We sat outside and got our first round of drinks no problem. We asked for water 2 times and never got it till we went inside and asked for it. Then we sat outside for 30-45 minutes waiting for someone to come outside and ask for another round or food and no one did until someone from my group went inside and asked and they only wanted to take it inside but that wouldnt work because we were a group. It took so long for service and the only reason Im giving 2 stars is because the food and beer was good. The service was ridiculously bad.

Why post you’re open in “full swing” to make me drive here to be closed. Have someone update it. I understand someone got covid and I hope they are ok but drove here with a friend to drink going out of the way after checking google and your website just to find out by the time we find someplace actually open now it will be too late to grab a few drinks.

Took a trip to explore some breweries and found this one north of Charlotte. Beer was fine but food was lack luster. Our buffalo chicken dip has no chicken and when we asked about that we were told it was just nacho dip, not buffalo chicken dip.

Nice little brewery and meadery. We just had beer but would like to try the meads sometime, they are a bit stronger. This place is dog friendly, Covid/social distancing approved. They also have a small selection of food/pizza available, no need to worry about a food truck availability if you want to get your drink on.

The food is good for bar food but I dont think it is really that fresh the beers that I sampled were good but I was kind of let down the website said that they had 6 different meads and when we got there they only had 1 mead. In all the food was good as was the service and the guy that they had singing this night was really good uas was the whole atmosphere.

Met a friend here just as a halfway point and had a great experience. The staff were friendly and accommodating, place was kept clean and well-organized, and they seemed to be taking the necessary precautions to keep everyone socially-distanced and safe. Theres plenty of outdoor seating so we chose to sit on the patio. The pizza was tasty, beer was choice and service was exceptional. Kendra was our server/bartender and she was outstanding. I asked her which beers she liked and she recommended Freckles (Strawberry Blonde) and Yes Please (Hazy IPA)- both were delicious.Glad I stumbled upon this little gem! Highly recommend to folks in the Mecklenburg-Cabarrus area

Would have gotten three stars for being dog friendly and the pizza was ok, but tried to get service and the person behind the bar felt it was better to talk about Johnny down the street who they’ve known since he was 3 years old with friends than provide service to customers. Stay away.

Beer is just ok. Every now and again they have a decent one but those are all seasonal. Work is needed on a strong flagship beer. Service and atmosphere are excellent. Nevertheless, beer comes first and thus my three stars.

We planned a family reunion here a month, or so, ago...12 adults and 10-12 kids and grand kids. It was my first visit there, and I was impressed, not only by the beer but by their business model.They offer an assortment of draft beers, 6 to 8 brewed by Commoners and another 6, or so, brewed by other craft breweries in the area. Food was also available from two near-by restaurants..one Asian and the other casual American (hamburgers, chicken wings, fries, etc.) We were able to order by phone and have our lunch delivered...or take a short walk to order and pick up our meal. There is plenty or seating inside the brewery and on the adjacent patio.Give these young entrepreneurs a visit. You will enjoy their beer, their hospitality and their enthusiasm for what they have created.Jim Murray

Is it a brewery or a doggie day care? Too many dogs for my taste. The beers are outstanding and the food is not bad either. But the service is kind of slow. Always understaffed.

So glad to have another brewery in concord. The taproom is very nice with plenty of seating. Beers are great and they have crowlers filled on spot. Had the pineapple pale ale and it was awesome. Owners are very friendly and make you feel at home. Keep up the great work!

Very nice microbrewery. Beer was pretty good will be back again for sure. I went last Sunday to filled a growler and I was unhappy to find out they do not refill growlers. Boo!!! I still think is a cool place to have a beer.
