Our garage door wouldnt close regularly- sometimes it would stop half way down, sometime a few inches from the floor. Called and someone came out 2 hours later- which was amazing. Manuel realigned the beams (about 4 minutes work) and it was fixed- no charge. Was very impressed and will absolutely call them again if we have further trouble. Great company.

I contacted A-1 to replace my garage door opener. they came out quickly and discussed several options. no pressure, James Conner, explained some different models, some pros and cons of each, and made my decision very easy. He and the other tech (sorry, dont remember his name) were very professional and quickly installed the new unit. All along the way they explained how everything worked and were patient in explaining how to set up the wifi connections, etc. A very good experience...5 star!

I verified the door brand series and hardware they used. Still a much lower cost elsewhere. Parts pricing is not competitive. (Not including springs)I believe in giving a fair review. This is my opinion however make sure you bid the door service and parts quality as they do use better parts.Sorry guys you will not be installing my new door.-James

Joseph was my technician and he was patient, professional, kind and he went above and beyond to ensure I was all set up. I also got a 5% discount and he did both doors for a fair price. I also like that A1 was flexible with time brackets and they were also easy to schedule with compare to home Depot. Lastly, I didnt have a tip to give Joseph and he was understanding about it so Im grateful I went with A1 and will definitely go with them next time.

I was very happy with Connors work he’s very knowledgeable very friendly and very professional they gave me a quote for a new door after my spring broke on my old door which I believe is a fair price considering the price of metal today all that said I will be using this company in the future I’m very happy with the work that he did and I would urge anyone who has a broken garage doorTo call and have these people help you. I feel comfortable spending money with this company to buy a new garage door which is not cheap for an average working person but I believe they do good work so I will buy my new door from them

I have no idea how they receive so many 5 star reviews. The service person was either a diabolic rogue actor, or their entire business model is patterned after a high pressure time share sales pitch. They get 2 stars because the broken spring was fixed. They deserve 1 star for spending literally HOURS of my life trying to separate me from my money to repair things that are currently functioning. It was exhausting. At the point where I felt he wouldnt even move forward on the broken spring until he extorted more money out of me, I finally cracked and told him he needed to come back tomorrow if we were going to continue negotiating. He finally repaired the spring and left. What. A. RACKET!!!! Shame on you A1 for profiting off of sleazy and legitimately exhausting sales techniques to line your own pockets! I would NEVER! recommend them unless you like the idea of being drug in to your garage every 20 minutes to sign off on just one more thing I found in my inspection. BEWARE or your sanity will be tested.

I was impressed with their technician James. He was very knowledgeable and he provided timely service and they also carry lifetime quality products.

Never got a real physical quote so hard to dispute what the final cost should be. Also never got any documentation upon completion so this 3yr warranty is just verbal trust at this point. The technician did do a good job however as a customer I would like better accountability of the two main issues stated.

Garage door opener replaced . . Lift Master mid grade with 5 year warranty. James Foster the installer was polite, very efficient and thorough. The work was excellent, although kinda pricey. Worth it to me since the company was very communicative about arrival time, and came the next day after my opener went on the fritz. Id recommend highly.

Technician Ben did an excellent job of servicing the garage door. Unfortunately, it will probably need a part in the future that is 20 years old and may not be available. Of course, 20 year old replacement parts is not something that Ben carries in his every day stock of parts.

A1 Garage Door was fantastic. They were called around 4:00 on President’s Day and they dispatched someone to our house by 6:30. They fixed our garage door that was stuck open and detached from the wall. Couldn’t be any happier. Quick actions, friendly, prompt, great communication, fair price, quality work. Great experience with a quick resolution.

Technician just installed a fancy new motor with sensors. Garage door is still super slow and now it didn’t close so they had to come back and help fix it. All is working now.

While A1 does offer an estimate for just a $20 fee, they quoted us $500-$1700 worth of work that needed to be done to get our garage door functioning again. Thankfully we got a second opinion from another local company that fixed the issue in under 5 minutes at no cost to us.Please do your research and get a second opinion before spending exuberant amounts of money on A1’s good, better, best quotes.Additionally at our scheduled appointment the dispatcher called to inform us they were redirecting our technician to someone else because their situation was an emergency. After already having to wait 3 days to get this appointment this was very frustrating as a customer. While our technician was nice and polite, I am very disappointed in the way he tried to trick me into unneeded parts & service.

May Is when the process started with James coming out get it all quoted and manufacturing to start.Two stars because A1 customer service helped easy the trouble a little.Kody “installed” my new garage door on a Monday, I was at work and when I came home I was not impressed. I have a low clearance ceiling which requires two rails. He hack sawed off the top rail that the top wheels were supposed to ride. He ripped of my original seal which in the contract it states they will not do any of that so they don’t cause structural damage, and did not put my seal I purchased on. Bolts were missing, the piece that connects the opener to the door wasn’t on right to where you open it, it separated from the door itself.He came back out to tell us he had to order a new rail system. This week got an email saying our new door is being manufactured and they will be contacting us mid august to set up a schedule to come out to install.I already have a door that you installed, I need a new rail system that Kody messed up. Is kody a new associate? Not a good look and I feel I’ve wasted my money!!!Will not recommend.

I called A1 because my daughter here in Colorado had used them. I want to be proactive with keeping my garage door working so I called A1 for a checkup. James called while on his way and texted me a picture with a bio so I knew who was coming to my house to do work.James took time to understand how frequently I use my garage door and any concerns I had about its operation. Then he did a complete check of the door. He found that the rollers were wearing causing the noise I heard. He also pointed out some other parts that were indicating possible future problems. He gave me options for things I might consider now to reduce these. We also discussed options for springs that are better than the builder-grade one I have on my door. Finally he gave me details about the yearly A1 service contract I read about on the website.All in all I enjoyed James’ low-pressure approach to customer service and his thoroughness. I feel completely confident using them in the future.

Call ProLift instead. I mean it. This company needs to get put out of business and thrown out of our community asap. They are coming for you and your pockets like vultures. Buying out small companies, monopolizing what should be an honest job. A1 is the anti-thesis of honest. They dont care about you at ALL. All they care about is their ticket. Youre not a customer, your a mark.

Easy to schedule, Service provider James called ahead to give closer window of arrival and arrived on time. Explained the issue with my garage door and potential issues with the model of opener I had. Went over options if issue happens again but he was able to fix it in no time and we had our door tuned-up and minor other issues fixed. Overall, I was very satisfied with the level of service and options that made the most sense based on my budget and true nature of the issue.I also like that I received an email and text message with a picture of my service provider before he arrived. My invoice and other quotes were also emailed to me which was great.

Cant say enough good things about this company. I called them at 5:30pm on a Wednesday and had a new opener installed by Devin less than 24 hours later. My service technician Justin assessed the problem and explained what he needed to do to fix it. The spring on my garage door broke on the right side. The Garage Door Technician from A1 Garage Door Service notified me that he was on his way to repair my garage door. Along with the email, there was a photo of the Technician that would do the work.Chester H. was the technician that performed the work. He was professional, friendly, knowledgeable and took pride in doing the work correctly. He had to replace the spring he originally put in and replaced it with a heavier spring to make sure the door was balanced and manageable when lifting it manually. He made sure that all aspects of the door was working nominally and that the parts that needed replacing were necessary.I am very pleased with the work that Chester did and would recommend A1 Garage Door Service to any of my friends or anyone needing their garage door repaired without hesitation. Had a garage door spring break so I called A1 (thought that it was the local A1 company, it is not more on this below) for them to come and repair it. On the phone with the scheduler, I made it very clear that if the repair was $400 it was not worth it. She said, oh no it wouldnt be that much for a spring replacement. Technician came out today and of course tried to upsell, to a $950 spring replacement, I said no, then showed a $600 spring replacement and finally a $350 replacement option. He said he had all of the springs on his truck and could do any of them today. I stupidly went with the middle option, I know should have gone with my gut and just asked the technician to leave, but I was busy in the middle of other stuff.Back to work and the tech rings the doorbell, to let me know that one of the bearings was worn out and it was “mandatory” that it be replaced. Not only the one that was worn out, but he said he needed to replace all three, the end bearing plates and the center bearing, at a cost of $200 additional. I said fine if we knock the job down to the cheaper spring. He said he had already pulled the springs out of the truck that he had to use them. I pointed to them on the ground and said, “you don’t have the spring that just 10 minutes ago you said you did?” Tech said “no”, but I know they don’t come to a service call without many types of standard springs in the truck. He said he would have to drive up to another tech for about 45 minutes to get the other springs. Stupidly again I just agreed to him doing what he needed to do to get it done and leave.Total using A1 Garage Door Service for a single broken spring by the time all was said and done was $750. If I had done it myself, like I should have, the springs would have been about $100 and take about 40 minutes to install; lessons learned being completely ripped off. After the tech left, I realized that I had left our second garage door open, but I thought that I remembered closing it. I tried to close it and it wouldn’t go down, kept flashing that there was an obstruction. I went over to the laser sensor near the floor and found that the wing nut had been almost completely unscrewed and the sensor was aiming down. Not sure why or if the tech had done this, but it was working fine prior to him being in the garage and then not once he left and it is not in a position that it could accidentally be bumped. Repositioned it and all is good with the second garage door.Digging into these guys a little more I couldn’t help but wonder why they have so many 5-star reviews, turns out that Family Garage Door up in Commerce City sold last year to this A1 company based out of Arizona (They are currently in a lawsuit with the local A1 Garage doors that comes up first when searching google). Most of the 5-star reviews that I can find are for either the previous company “Family Garage Door” or most likely for the locally owned A1.

My experience with A1 was excellent. I called for service and Chet arrived within 2 hours. It turned out my 17 year old garage door motor needed to be replaced Chet had what was needed and a couple hours after that the garage door was again operational. My neighbors smashed into my garage door this morning and A1 came out within hours and were SO kind and fixed it (the garage door has to be order, but fixed it to at least work even though it still needs to be replaced) TODAY! I was so relieved. Darrel was my technician and he was kind, worked hard to plan the repair and was compassionate during this stressful situation.

This is a terrible company to work with. I ordered a door in January and still havent received it in May. They have shown up twice without all the parts and have absolutely no follow up. I have to call them to see when my install will be done. As I said, no follow up. I finally called my bank to get a refund. This is for the A1 in Denver/Commerce City.

The job should have been done correctly the first time they worked on my door. I had a technician Anthony come out last fall to replace my garage springs as well as my cables that had snapped. Once the tech was finished with install, the garage door did not close properly like it had before. One side of the door was higher than the other so i had a big gap on the top left side of my door causing dirt, bugs, snow, rain, etc to blow into my garage. Fast forward to yesterday and the technician says I need new rollers for the door. Fine, but why was that not addressed last fall when I had my new springs and cables installed? I am happy with Devin who finally was able to fix that gap on my door in the matter of 30 minutes. But I am not happy that I had to pay $170 for the rollers/adjustment to get my door to close properly and pay another round of labor and trip charge for the technician to come out to my house when that should have been done last fall by Anthony. 3 stars because I feel like I shouldnt have had to pay anything since that should have been done correctly the first time the technician was here.....

My car was stuck in the garage. The technician came over around 9 pm and fixed the spring. It was quick and easy. Well for me it was...I think the technician got a good workout. I scheduled a garage door tune up. I showed the tech my issues with the door now closing completed down on one side. I was hoping a tuneup would do but expected that I would need a spring. He diagnised the probkem and explained why it was occurring, and recommended a new spring. He offered some upsales, but no high pressure. Then completed the repair. Problems solved.

They are good at what they do, but are way overpriced, I was charged $1060 for a repair that should have been $500 tops,The labor rate is reasonable, but in my opinion the parts they installed are priced at least 5 times what they should be.I will not call them again unless a warranty part breaks.

My garage door needed repair. At first they couldnt come out that day, but when I explained the situation they rearranged their schedule and sent Devin out that day. He gave an estimate and could do the work that day. I also talked to Robin, the service tech and he explained all my options with prices. Never pressured me to chose a specific one. He was very patient in explaining everything, and was very nice. On deciding to get the door fixed, Devin explained everything to get it done, did the 25 point inspection, explained how to keep it in good shape. Devin was excellent to work with, very nice and friendly also.

There service was very good. Our home is in the mountains and they worked with us in scheduling a time for measuring for the door and estimate. First question, when the gentlemen showed up he was in a A1 Garage Door Service truck. Are the companies together?The technicians name was Joseph. Very friendly and very intuitive. We told him what was going on with our garage door. That it wouldn’t go up to down. He looked at it and noticed it wasn’t latched properly and then the sensors weren’t lined up correctly. Then he also recommended we replace the door spring. So we took that recommendation and got that replaced. It was an actual very quick service. Great service all around. Will definitely call them when we need more work done.

I love our new garage door that Family Garage Door installed. It looks beautiful -- gives our house nice curb appeal. The new garage door opener is a blessing as our old one took me pushing the button 2 or three times before it would open. Joe, our salesperson, was very helpful in picking out the color and we got a very close paint match to our trim so no need for us to paint the door. The door opens so quietly and is insulated so the garage stays warmer. The installation was done in 4 hours and the installers were very professional and neat. I highly recommend you call them if you are in need of a new garage door.

A1 did a great job and was fast with fixing our garage door. Devin was our A1 tech and he was so very nice and easy to deal with.

This company is great, they did an excellent job of communicating before the installation. The installation was flawless, our installation expert Den kept at it all day and into the evening to finish the job in one day.
