Had a great time getting a poor prescription issued by a certain national chain and NREC was fantastic. Listened to my problems and concerns, was given a thorough examination.Everyone was super friendly and professional and their choice of frames were great. Prices were completely in line with the big companies so dont let cost scare you away from an independent company.Props to Bob for the quality and fitting yesterday. We will happily stick with this company.

This has been the best experience Ive ever had at an eye care practice! Everyone I came in contact with was pleasant and competent. Doctor Roa was so thorough throughout my entire exam and was able to give me some long overdue insight into a simple issue that my previous eye care doctor failed to explain. My daughter and I came for our annual eye appointments (different days) for the first time at North Range Eye Care, and we both received excellent service! No long waiting time. Dr. Duong was great and answered all our questions. The staff was friendly. I especially want to mention Bob who helped us with our glasses; he was so nice, very patient, helpful and explained the costs clearly! I also want to thank Erica who I spoke with on the phone; she was also so patient with all the things I was asking about and super friendly! Definitely a recommended place!

My right eye was real red, it was hurting and watery. I just moved to the area and I didn’t have an eye doctor. I went online and I found North Range Eye Care 9 mins away from my house. It was Tuesday night 7pm and I couldn’t make an appointment. Next morning, I went there, I explained my situation. Even I didn’t have an appointment, I was seen by Dr. David . He was so cool. I had a metal piece stuck into my eye. He took it out, prescribed me with some eye drops. Now my eye is better and in healing process. They made my day. Even I didn’t have an appointment, they treated me VIP. From the receptionist to the doctor, everyone was amazing. Thank you so much . I will definitely go back to get my prescription glasses. I’ve been going to North Range Eye Care for years! They used to be in a smaller office and I’m not surprised they’ve outgrown it. This is truly a small business doing things right! Dr. Hite and Dr. Duong are as thorough with their exams as they are friendly. The staff is excellent as well with little turnover. You are in the best of care.

Always a good experience here. The staff is very friendly and helpful.. I had a fit issue with my glasses that they resolved extremely quickly without any fuss. My kids also scratched my glasses and North Range Eye Care processed a warranty replacement for me, also with very little fuss. They have my ongoing business!

My experience with eye exam and ordering lenses and contacts was great. My eye glass pickup experience, not so much. The technician was very short with me, it appeared to be because I’d used my own frame. I was there less than 3 minutes. She should have just handed me the glasses at the door. She stated that they wouldn’t be responsible or provide recommendations for adjustments because they were my existing frames. She was extremely rude.

Called and asked if this place could remove a stye from my eye I was told yes so I made a appointment only to have the dr tell me I need to be referred to another place ...I literally called and asked if this was the kind of dr that does this service. Any way I was charged 75 bucks and was told that they would send a referral I was extremely frustrated at the time so I kept my mouth shut payed and left as Im driving away I called back to ask what specific dr they referred me to during this conversation I was told that they did not know I wanted the stye removed...... like what did they think I wanted just to show it off or something probably not a good practice to tell people that you can do something if you cant and then to charge me for it like wow I wonder had I not informed them that I am extremely dyslexic and have troubles reading on screens if I would have been told the truth as opposed to getting fleeced...

I have been a client for most of that period and its been a joy to see his business grow and thrive! He and his team always take the time to explain my eyes to me, I always get great care, Ive never had an issue there. A friend once did, it wasnt NRECs fault, and they fixed it right away. The best! I was sent for glasses outside the system by the VA. The best service, fastest, and most pleasant experience (thanks to Kayla....a real sweetheart) ever. If the Veterans Administration sends you for glasses, I urge you to go here. I was shuffled around by Health Net. What a mess they made of something simple. Luckily I found North Range Eye Care on the list sent by the VA. No appointment, walk in any time, no waiting, fast service, friendly staff...perfect. Health Net kept trying to push another place on me multiple times, even though I told them it was nowhere near my location. I also told them not to schedule me on Thursdays because I have VA appointments every week. So thats when they scheduled me. Unreal. Go to North Range! You wont be disappointed.Well its now three years later and the last glasses I received for free paid for by the VA now cost me $125. Why is that? Does this place guarantee their products? My glasses arent that old and the frames broke last night. Its Saturday they are closed, so I will find out on Monday and update this. 9/15/18

The Dr here is so wonderful. My 2 year had something going on with his eye, I called late in the afternoon to see if they could get him in. The Dr had already left for the day but they made me an appointment for the following morning. I got a call not even 5 minutes later asking if I could bring my son in. The receptionist let the Dr know what was going on with my son and he made a special trip into the office just to see him last minute/same day! Great family friendly office. We highly recommend!

The staff here is utterly amazing. Everyone is friendly knowledgeable and very caring. The doctors take time to listen and you feel like part of the family. Been here twice in urgent situations also, they worked me in immediately and got my pain under control with a corneal ulceration.

It was honestly the best experience I have ever had with an eye exam/purchase/all of the above! The doctor was knowledgeable, answered all my questions and seemed to really care about his patients (unlike other places). The entire staff was SO nice too! When I was picking out my glasses they upfront and honest with their opinions. I liked that they didnt try to sell you on the most expensive pair and all the kind ladies helped me pick out my glasses. I called Monday trying to get in on Thursday. They were booked but put me on a cancellation list. They called yesterday and I got in today.Always a great to go in. The staff is friendly and welcoming. I had my two 4 year old boys with me today and the staff helped me get everything I needed and helped keep the boys busy when I was being examined.They went over a large number of options for my new frames and answered all my questions about costs and benefits for each option they offered.We are a family of 10 and we take e eryone there for exams and glasses.

Went to North Range about a year ago because it was relatively close to our house. They told me they were in network after I gave them my insurance info (which they were) yet they never billed my insurance and told me they did and that I owed them $279. I just assumed they were honest people so I paid the amount owed. Come to find out I really should’ve only paid my $25 copay. I will never go back to this horrible, crooked, deceitful company.Reply to Owner:You still do not understand my insurance at all. My insurance covers the cost of an annual eye exam + $400 towards hardware annually regardless of whether or not I’ve hit my deductible. If you would have actually billed my insurance (as every doctor should for people who have insurance), they would have paid the pull amount. You not billing my insurance was not only lazy and dishonest but also costed me $254. There is absolutely no excuse. Please remove me from all of your marketing outreach as I will never be returning. I have had this insurance for 5 year and your office is the only one who didn’t bother to bill my insurance. No excuse.

Worst experience in my life with the staff. When you try to make a follow up appointment they have to call you back because according to them they never have their appointment calendar open. Then when they do finally call you back they DO NOT listen to what you are trying to communicate to them. They will cut you off and are automatically be RUDE to you. They think they are the doctors themselves and try to second guess what you need when they have no idea what you and the doctor discussed to begin with. They make the entire process of trying to make a follow appointment a NIGHTMARE for you. They state they are receptionists..then they need to do their job and let the doctor do his job.

I only go to this eye doctor. The staff is friendly and curious and the Doc listens when you talk, and knows what hes doing.I highly recommend taking your family.

I am a disabled veteran and North Range was on their vendors list for eye exams and glasses. I get eye exams every 6-12 months for Macular Degeneration. In the In the almost 30 years that I have been going to the VA, I have never paid out of pocket for these outside exams, prescriptions or frames. After the VA scheduled this appointment, North Range felt it necessary to call me and text me on a daily basis to remind me of this appointment. This went on for 2 weeks prior even though it was clearly marked on my calendar. I asked them to stop, I wasnt going to forget about it. I planned my week around the exam today. I walked into the clinic and was signing my name when all of a sudden some lady that works there was literally in my face saying that she was sorry for taking my parking place. I had no idea who she was or what she was talking about but it startled me. I dont see well. I then go back for the exam and she states that they cannot test the Macular Degeneration because the VA doesnt pay for it. They have always paid for it before, that was the reason for this exam. The wanted $25 extra for that test. Then they wanted me to pay an additional $50 for the glasses! I have never once had to pay any of these fees or whatever it was they were charging for. I live on disability and $75 would cut into my monthly bills. I didnt have it, so I left without new glasses or the knowledge of how my Macular Degeneration is progressing. To top it off, I politely asked the lady 3 times if she would fix my current glasses as they are pushing on my ear and making it raw. She didnt do it. I came home and got a call from the VA stating that they did authorize the $25 test to be included and asked me if I wanted to go back. I told her I would have to go somewhere else and do it. The lady at North Range said that when they dilated my eyes that I should be able to drive home just fine, that it wouldnt effect my distant vision. That was at 1:30 this afternoon. It is almost 5:15 pm now, dark outside and my eyes are still messed up. I could barely drive home due to the streetlights and headlights that looked like star bursts this evening. I am going to let the VA know about North Range and their extra costs for things, especially veterans needing an extensive eye exam like I need. Buyer beware of North Range, it was even hard to get to. My GPS said I had to make U-turn at 104th and Potomac to get to them, it was not easy to find. My overall experience with them was not pleasant.
