This company is hands down one of the best movers I have ever worked with. When I needed help at the last minute, they were able to supply me with a couple of movers, who showed up promptly. They were professional, courteous, knowledgeable and got way more done than I expected in less time than expected. The office personnel were also very courteous, helpful, and responded back immediately. They also came in under budget. Helping Hands will be my go to company for anything I need and I will definitely recommend them to any of my clients.

These folks are the best! VERY professional and nice. The movers were very careful with my things and listened to my requests. Even the truck and equipment was the best - new and looked professional all the way. Don’t hesitate todo business here - I have used a few others in Columbus/Harris county and they knocked it out of the park.

The manager and his movers completely took advantage and of me. I had a two bedrooom apartment moved literally across the street and it took 5 hours. I paid almost 800 dollars when I didn’t have that much stuff. The manager also said that I was lying on his movers being lazy. It was 3 men and they move really slow. They are trained to run up the clock. PLEASE GO TO ANOTHER MOVING COMPANY. THE GOOD REVIEWS ARE FROM THE MANAGER AND HIS FRIENDS. The manager promised me money back and never sent it. He will not answer your calls after basically robbing you. The movers even put my furniture back incorrectly and broke my couch leg.

Id leave zero stars if I could. Completely unprofessional and unproductive. Dont hire these men (I use that word to be polite) unless you want to be ripped off and pay for hours of unnecessary service. They will spend more time on phones and socializing with each other than moving your belongings. Beware!

The furniture was delivered with care, Nick especially was great at handling the furniture, nick told me my furniture was easy to handle and that I didnt need insurance. Excellent service by the movers themselves and most excellent among them was nick.

The three showed up as scheduled. The leader was very professional about how we were to get started and followed through with everything. They were all very nice to deal with, professional and very quick. It was obvious they have done this before and knew what they were doing.

They sent someone to my apt to do a walk through so they could give me an accurate estimate, once I booked the move I received a confirmation email of the appt and they called the day before the move to confirm and even the morning of the move they called.Moving us extremely stressful and one of your biggest worries when hiring a moving co is are they reliable? Will they show up? Will my belongings be handled with care? I can tell you the answer to all of those questions is yes when you work with Helping Hands! The guys did a great job moving the fireplace insert that I bought. It was very heavy and dirty and they didnt complain one bit. The job required them to move the insert from Columbus to Phenix city and was completed in about forty minutes. Great job,very friendly and helpful people,will definitely be using them again.

These guys bailed on me a hour after they were supposed to deliver my stuff. A half hour AFTER our scheduled time I contacted them. They said someone called in but if that was the case, why didn’t they call me before our scheduled time? Or during! Or after! I had to reach out to them! Then they said they can’t do it today but maybe two days from then. They gave me the owners number, who never answered nor reached out.The text of them asking me to cancel is a hour after the scheduled drop off time. After I changed a shift.

We did a local move of our household goods. We have moved seven times and Helping Hands was by far the best moving service we have used so far. The owner Mike was very helpful and professional. Simeon, Bruce and Larkin were the three that helped us move. They were extremely hard workers and respectful. I would request them specifically if I had to move again.I recommend using Helping Hands if you need any moving services, they won’t disappoint!Excellent service!

When it came time to move my mothers household furnishings, our usual go to movers were booked. I found Helping Hands on line and decided to give them a try. I was not disappointed. They did a great job at a fair price. Would definitely recommend this company and would use them again.

FANTASTIC! After everything that went wrong these guys were a breath of fresh air! Had everything unloaded incredibly fast, had everything in the designated rooms, and even though it was late in the evening, took the time to go through and check all our glassware to make sure everything made it safe. Used them 3 different times while living in georgia, great movers! very professional & move so quick.

We recently had Helping Hands help us with our move. We were only moving a minute or so down the road, but needed help with the heavy furniture, approximately 15 pieces to include beds and dressers. Helping Hands Moving Service was the only moving company that was able to accommodate our short notice and they were extremely friendly. The movers arrived on time and ready to help. The start time was 10:15 am and at 10:55 am, only 3 pieces of small furniture had been moved. After being told to leave the washer that was still plugged in, the movers continued to try and remove it, wasting more time. At one point, 2 movers were standing in the driveway talking and another was upstairs talking on the phone. The movers got to the new house and unloaded all the furniture very slowly and with no sense of urgency. I understand the need to be safe and smart when moving furniture, but when you pay by the hour, every minute is important. The movers were complete at 1:30pm, a total of 3 hours and 15 minutes. I was quoted for 2 hours. I understand that it may take 30 minutes longer than quoted, but an hour and 15 minutes longer than quoted only solidifies my belief that they worked extremely slow. As they were leaving, I heard one mover say that hopefully the other moving group finished before them so that they did not have to do another job. In my mind this was extremely unprofessional and showed they were intentionally working slow. The movers were nice and completed the job to satisfaction, but due to the amount time that the move took, I would not use this service again.

I was not satisfied with the move. The movers severed the cord to my recliner and tried to hide it. When I called the owner, Mike, to tell him about it, he asked for a picture and said he would call me back. He never called back. Also, most of my boxes were labeled. However, the movers sat almost all of my boxes in the kitchen and I had to move them to the correct area of the home. This move cost almost $900 and I expected it to be an easy experience. That did not happen.

I called and needed living room furniture moved from Midland to Columbus and needed it the next day. Movers were on time and very careful with my furniture. I will tell anyone that needs this service to call them. Very pleased with price and how nice the employees were.

They made our cross country move so much easier. We hired 3 movers for a day and a half and they loaded up two full size trucks that included a piano, large pieces of art, power tools and even sculpture. The two men and one lady they sent were professional, careful and worked hard. Given the quality and difficulty of the work it was an amazing value for the price. I overestimated the amount of stuff we were getting rid of before moving and we needed them for longer than planned - and that was okay, they just added hours to our invoice. Mike and his team are great - I had trouble finding trustworthy small businesses in Columbus, but Helping Hands is totally trustworthy and u should use them.

Billy Oliver was our hero! After loosing a deposit where another moving company simply was a no show no contact on our cross country moving day, leaving us to lock the door on the belongings to make our plane unsure of what we would do! Billy was set to get on a plane from another move days later when he agreed, on the morning he was scheduled to leave, to grab a truck and my daughter’s belongings and drive cross country instead! Without anyone available to help him, he singlehandedly loaded a second story apartment and brought my young daughter’s things “home” to be reunited with her family 3,000 miles away! After the way we were treated by the other moving company, we worried about tons of things going wrong. Mr. Oliver called several times as he loaded the items, reassuring us that everything was going well. He took it upon himself to get maintenance to let him in as we were no longer in the state. He even emptied the refrigerator, donating what was left to the homeless mission down the street. When he made it across the country, he unloaded everything once again by himself, not allowing the women of the house to lift a finger. Respectful and trustworthy and an absolute hero in the eyes of this single mom that has her daughter back home with all of her things, thanks to the amazing Billy Oliver! Helping Hands has a hero on their hands!

In moving to Columbus from out of state, we needed help to unload our UHaul truck. I found this company through an internet search, called and arranged the unloading service: They arrived on time, were very professional, respectful, and pleasant to work with. Highly recommend and plan to use again.

The guys I had today for a 1 bedroom apartment moving to a 2 bedroom house were fast, efficient, and handled my belongings with care. Mike was very responsive to my quote I made almost 3 weeks prior. He was confident in his teams ability to get the job done and even recommended information just in case I decided to move without their services. I love the fact that they are a local business and care about the customer by not overbooking clients. They asked questions when needed and I felt confident in my decision.

These Two mover were excellent with the move !! They gave me the most comfortable move I have ever had !! I wouldn’t go anywhere else & I wouldn’t recommend anybody to go anywhere else !

I used this moving company recently to move a bedroom and dining room furniture suite. It was not much furniture at all, however it took them close to 6 or more hours to move. Be mindful that my father who is over 60 years old helped me move the furniture a week prior to “Helping Hands” moved it to the storage unit. We managed to move the furniture in a max of 2.5 hours with breaks in between. Not sure why it would take a PROFESSIONAL moving company over 2 hours to move 9-10 pieces of furniture at max. The distance between locations was less than 0.5 a mile. Lastly, after looking at the furniture, I noticed scratches on my brand new furniture. The men who moved it also laid the bed rails on top of the dining room wooded table. And after they completed the job, I learned that one of the movers was a new employee so there was also some on the job training included. CONCLUSIVELY, I WAS NOT SATISFIED WITH THIS COMPANIES SERVICE AT ALL AND I WILL NOT SUGGEST THEM TO ANYONE! TOO SLOW, POOR QUALITY SERVICE, DAMAGED FURNITURE! BE AWARE and STAY AWAY!!!Continued: I hate to turn this into an argument as opposed to customer satisfaction as a first priority. But lying about how much furniture and how long you took is extremely surreal! It indeed was only ONE DINING ROOM SUITE and ONE BEDROOM SUITE which is still in the same storage you all moved it to. Not sure what living room suites you are referring to. And yes, my apologies be it known that there also was fridge included which we purchased picked it from a different location (approximately an additional 3.5 miles from the initial location). Definitely not two additional stops— not sure why you even made that comment. And yes you did provide a refund I believe it was %10. And I still have receipt transactions so your response here says it took 4.5 hours and that is not the amount you charged me for taken in consideration of the hourly rate your company quotes. In addition to that my furniture was DAMAGED! But no worries I will post pictures as proof👍🏽 And by you saying to seek service elsewhere, using my better judgement, I’m hoping you don’t think that I would ever make such a bad decision twice now do you?

I am forever grateful to this company. We had set up for a different company to come load our belongings into our rented truck as we are moving to a different military installation out of state. This company had booked another client same day and we were scrambling to find a new crew. Helping hands hooked us up!!!! 3 man crew for 4 hours at an amazing price!!! I don’t think I’ve ever met a more helpful and courteous crew in my 25 years of life! I recommend this company to all military service members and their family’s to help the moving process be easier for them. They show up on time and not once complain about heavy items or even stairs! I simply wanted a refund of the deposit since the earliest appointment they offered wasnt until Monday March 8th 2021 but I was left over the weekend without basic items inside of a shipping container. I was focrced to move the majority of the items out over the weekend. After giving a deposit of $125 (which is half) I asked for just 2 heavy pieces to be moved onto a truck but was advised per Mike I would still have to pay the full $250 for 2 hours for a 10min job. On sunday March 7th 2021 I sent a message asking about the REFUND or CANCELATION terms 24hrs before the appointment that was never explained during the booking process. I was advised theres a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit. I can understand $50 or even $75 but the entire amount with no labor is unjust specifically since no contract was signed.

They were an amazing crew! They were really fast and super friendly! My husband and I are very glad that they were able to help us move! The moved everything we needed them to move in under 2 hours! Highly recommended to everyone!!

Damaged (5) items and took 47 days to get a dollar amount which was an insult.I called this company to get a quote on moving furniture with no boxes, only big furniture. A verbal quote was given over the phone. No documents regarding ANY kind of insurance needed for this move was given to me prior to the move. I had a different amount charged upon completion and it took a couple of weeks just to get a refund. I wasnt at the final location of my home for the move so I had a friend be there. The moving staff had my friend sign to his knowledge a completion form. I got home just an hour or so later and immediately saw extreme damaged to (5) items of furniture. I immediately called the owner Mike with no answer. I texted him and he finally called me back. I sent him pictures of all the damage. It took 47 days of being extremely patience and going back and forth with multiple excuses from the owner Mike trying to file a claim with his insurance. He then stated I should have asked for full coverage insurance. I told him at NO point was I offered, signed or received any documents of any kind of insurance options that he had. He texted me what my friend signed at the END of the move, not before any move. If your company offers a difference in insurance options, then that should be stated and chosen PRIOR to any move. A copy was never left or sent to me what someone else signed for. The owner offered $283.20 for damaged to a custom made dresser and a floor to ceiling wood framed mirror. Both cannot be repaired. Repairs to my damaged Armoire, Washer and Dryer. I told the owner this was unacceptable and that I did not want to deal with him anymore nor did I want to wait another 47 days trying to get an answer or help from him for any kind of repairs. $283.20 is way under priced for all of the damage his company caused. His only response was I should have chosen full coverage insurance. I was never offered or told of any kind of optional insurance. I have never had damaged to my furniture like I have had with this company and for it to take 47 days just to get some kind of resolution which was no where near what it should have been is disgusting.

I needed help with moving a large amount of heavy boxes and safes, and asked for 2 hours of moving assistance. The crew showed up on time, and were great. They were proactive, fast, and careful with my items. Scheduling was easy, and I felt the price was fair for what I asked of them. I would certainly use Helping Hands again in the future. Thanks!

This moving company is very unprofessional. They send inexperienced workers to load and unload your belongings. Also they charged me 205.00 per hour, which was a four man crew, for 4.5 hours, then at the billing time they tacked on an additional 80.00. This 80.00 is for the crew, the travel for the crew back and forth to the warehouse and the rental fee for the truck. This was all bull, because all of that was supposed to be included in the 205.00. Save your money, do not hire a moving company. Especially, DO NOT HIRE HELPING HANDS!!! Round up your trusted friends and family and save yourselves the discomfort of hiring these crooks. Tried to call and talk sinceably with the owner Mike, he became belligerent.Lesson learned.

Hi. Im wondering where my missing couch feet are? Our move was in September, it is now January. Jonathon keeps lying to me every time I call and will now not answer my emails. I have asked several times. He keeps telling me they were shipped out. Its been weeks since they were shipped. I can go back to my MANY emails detailing all the issues we have had including how slow the workers were (it cost us as much for this 20 min away move as our previous move 2 hours away!), your worker rolling his eyes at me and telling me he wanted a tip, leaving the house a mess and then Jonathon not getting back to me about sending a free clean up crew back out to clean up and fix some damaged items. While all of those things are important, whats most important is knowing where the couch feet are that I have been told more than once were on the way I am writing this review in hopes to get an answer because I see that every time someone has left a negative review the owner responds.Thank you for your response. It was particle board from Target and it may have broken because when they unloaded it, they placed it upside down? If they handed the couch feet to my mom, maybe thats why I dont have them? My mom lives in Florida and was not present for the move. Actually only my husband was there at the time of packing up and leaving because I was at the new house so my son could get a nap. Unless hes lying and hiding the feet from me, he doesnt have them. I actually was present while they were here but I cant be in all rooms at one time with a toddler. If you have children, Im sure you can understand that. You obviously felt they should come out again since you offered them to come back free of charge, but as mentioned above, Jonathon never got back to me when I asked several times of when that could happen. Im sorry that what he did was against company policy, but he told me that you approved that. We could get our security deposit back which should cover the cost of new feet and the free clean up service you would have sent out.

I found the owners to be professional. There were a few mixups with timing and the order of the move. The movers were amazing and professional. My stuff was well cared for and arrived fully in tact. The only concern I have is the cost. I get it took longer than expected to move us but this is the first time in over 6/7 paid moves I have ever spent over 1000 for such a short move. Great company! Our family has moved many times. We have encountered ok companies, but never great companies until now. This company is so competent, committed, and kind. I had to get a dresser moved and they helped me in every way possible. Upon delivery to my new location, they put the dresser in the correct place and even screwed in the mirror for us. 3/13/2020 - Stephen Forde and his team (Marcus and Desmond) were absolutely wonderful with my move. I had sooo many small boxes. Some boxes were not taped (I ran out)! They handled everything with such care! I moved from a 2nd floor apartment to a townhouse and the washer and dryer connections are on the 2nd floor! Imagine moving a washer and dryer and heavy bedroom furniture to the 2nd floor of a townhouse! But they did it with ease and they were so respectful the entire time. I’m glad I chose Helping Hands to help me move and I’m sooo glad that they sent Steve, Marcus and Desmond. Helping hands provided the truck and the help. I wouldn’t have been able to do this myself. Terrible! When I called to get a price quote I wasn’t told that it would be $150 (or so) an hour! It took at least twice the time it should have taken to move my stuff. When it came time to pay I was told that the price was almost $600! When I spoke to someone letting them know that’s not what I was quoted he was very rude and argued with me stating “he tells everyone the same thing”. If I knew it was per hour I definitely wouldn’t have picked them. Very sneaky and dishonest. The movers were nice however.Update: This review is far from false. I put ‘or so’ in my initial post because I couldn’t remember the exact amount and either way I was not told it was per hour. In the end I was still told the price would be almost $600.

They were very professional and handled our appliances gently. They were efficient and knowledgeable. They were friendly and were able to help us with our move the day after we contacted them.

Very nice experience . I called the same day and they were out within two hours. Even hooked up my washer without me asking. They were very polite and courteous. If I had to move and would use them again.
