My son is almost 5 and we love coming to The Train Station to check for anything new on their running model train and set.He loves ALL trains...freight trains (I get him a CSX calendar every year from The Train Station!), LEGO trains, wooden trains...but his favorite by far are his model trains.Most of his HOs (and track/accessories) I have purchased used from The Train Station. Its an inexpensive way for him to collect all different types of cargo and his love for the hobby is growing thanks to you guys!There are 2 employees that arent necessarily inviting when we shop (maybe because my son is so young and they dont feel comfortable with him in the store?) but the rest of the gentlemen there are kind, helpful and patient!

For the model railroader this is an excellent one stop shop for anything you could potentially need with an on site repair shop if you have a loco you dont think you can fix yourself. Want or need something they dont have? For locomotives Im pretty positive they can order in store for you if youre looking for a specific locomotive from a website and need to go through a third party vendor. Either way its a fun shop, the guys running the place are ever helpful, knowledgeable, and just all around good people to just talk and shoot the breeze with

Went in today. I asked a question the man at the counter looked uninterested and clearly knows less about railroading than me and I am just learning. I asked about o gage, he states what we have is over there. What they have could fit in a midsized car without using the trunk. They do have a fair amount of ho scale.Went down street and had a completely different experience.

My wife and I stopped here on a pure whim because we talked about possibly putting a train around the Christmas tree this year, and we ended up buying a model train kit for home and yhe kids love it. The folks there are super friendly and really knowledgeable. There are a lot of really cool displays. Of you are at all into model trains, or simply trains in general, this is definitely a place to go!

This place is great for HO scale they have a section for used which is very cheap and good condition they have used engines too they are also cheap but they are used and there is a lot of HO scale vehicles they also have trucks too they have a few TYCO train cars they also have walthers buildings too

If you collect HO or N scale, this is the place for you. A mind-blowing assortment of engines, both steam (all eras) and diesel, a huge collection of rolling stock, from affordable, entry level, to very high end, and a complete run of Woodland Scenics scenery and models. Really an amazing shop.

The staff here is excellent, Ive never walked out without knowing more than I asked. If they dont have the parts your looking for, they can either order it for you, or give the advice you need to get them. Best place for model railroading in central ohio.

Great train shop for the HO runners. Has a great selection of HO pieces, rolling stock and scenery. Also has some Lionel O scale and some G scale. Worth the stop.

Good stock on model trains. If you are a model railroader, this is one of the top 0laces to go in Columbus. Great selection, and good atmosphere. The guys are knowledgeable about the hobby. They also get pre-owned items in, and you can find some good finds.

Awesome little train store. They have a little bit for everyone. Very friendly and asked me if I needed help several times. They have been in business for 42 years and I hope to make it back by Jan 31st to take advantage of their sale. You wont be disappointed shopping here.

I was in there today for a problem I had with couplers. Spoke to an older fellow I wish I had his name he helped me out a great deal. For a tiny store there sure is a lot of stuff in there to look at.

I didnt know EXACTLY what I was looking for but after a very short conversation they knew exactly what I was looking for AND have a huge selection ALL decently priced, I got a few of their used cars and a working engine with slope tender for a REALLY good price!
