Having trouble getting my deposit back its been over 30 days..on top of the fact that the car broke down on the way home and needs thousands of dollars in repairs. Buyer beware I highly recommend not putting a deposit on anything there and having your mechanic check out the car before you purchase it. The sales team are amazing and kind but the Columbus auto group cant be trusted unfortunately 😒 πŸ˜•

Never done a Google review but need to warn others to stay away. They charged me $200 in doc fees after telling me the fees would be $30. Should have walked. Drive vehicle home to find the 2 year old vehicle I bought had a major oil leak. It took 2 trips back to get them to fix it after denying it had an oil leak. Most terrible dealership experience I have ever had. Spare yourself go elsewhere!

Not what you expect when buying sight unseen over the phone! Learn from your mistakes. Purchased 6/29, today is 8/5, received application for title which should come in 7-14 days. Temp tags expire.in 8 days..guess poor rating has it cost!.

This place has horrible customer service. My husband had been talking to a sales person for 2 weeks now about a vehicle that he said he would be first person they’d call when it came back to the lot. Well guess what they lied. They said someone put a deposit on it so now they get first. If we were told to put a deposit on it we would have, but the last time we did that we had to fight with them for almost a month to get our deposit back. We decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and do business with them, but never again.

Amiable staff, and it seems to be all normal. They asked me a couple of questions to know what I was looking for. I didnt ask for much; A car without accidents, clean title, less than 100,000 miles. Desirable sunroof. Jake brought me a 2009 Ford Explorer pickup. He highlighted the reliability of the vehicle for its low mileage. I did the test drive and asked to be shown Carfax. Jake brought it along with a document to close the deal. He showed me the Carfax quickly and tried to trick me, bypassing the car problems and then ask me to sign. He thought that since Im a foreigner and my English is not very good, I would not realize it or I would not be able to read. It turns out the car was previously a police vehicle, had two crashes on its history, and the odometer with a rollback alert (In red!). While he tried to skip pages commenting on what a good vehicle it was, I read all this. He kept telling me that it was just one minor crash. Im not wanted make a problem at that moment (I just wanted to leave the place), maybe hoping that at some point, he would be honest and explain to me about the odometer or the other problems. But he kept it from me until the end, believing it might go unnoticed. Very disappointed in this dealership.

Worst experience of my life! First, I was told a vehicle was ready so I drive five hours to the dealership. When I arrived it was not ready, I had to drive to their garage to see it. I liked the vehicle, purchased it, it was supposed to be delivered to me in a few days. Two weeks later I finally got my vehicle after lots of excuses. The vehicle immediately started having issues. I called the dealer and was told that the manufacturer warranty was expired so there was nothing they could do! I decided to trade in the vehicle for something more reliable. I bought the vehicle April 17th, it is now June 15th and I still have no title! No one seems to know where it is, where the title app was sent. No one returns my calls. I can’t trade it in until I have the title so once again this dealer has failed. Please do not waste your time!!

Service Advocate is very nice (Jeff). However it took 3 visits for the service technicians to diagnose I had a crack in my engine. Never felt like my issues were listened to. After 5 days without a vehicle , I was provided with a rental and subsequent a loaner which was good since my vehicle was out of service two months. The vehicle is running satisfactorily now and am thankful the repair was covered under warranty.

I put a refundable deposit down on a vehicle. I thought $250 should be enough, however, Shelby said they needed a $1,000 deposit. After I put down the deposit, my salesperson, Shelby ghosted me for two-three days. Because of this, I lost interest in the vehicle and purchased a vehicle from another dealer. Shelby was not happy and said it would take 3-5 days to refund my deposit. After 3 weeks and numerous unanswered massages and calls to the dealership and to the managers, they also ghosted me, after a receptionist would take down my message. I had to dispute the charge with my bank to get my money back. Very vindictive and dishonest dealership. I honestly hate posting bad reviews, but caveat emptor, buyer beware!

After recently having an awful experience at other dealerships, Rodney Tarter at Ford of Columbus gave us a completely different and refreshing experience. Before even getting to the dealership, we knew we were getting great customer service when we got a personal video from Rodney showing us the car we were interested in. It took us close to two hours to get to Columbus due to snow and dangerous road and Rodney called us on our way to solely make sure we were okay. Rodney kept both cars we were looking at right in front outside turned on so they would be warm and not have snow on them when we got there. Overall he went exceptionally above and beyond. He was extremely informative and helpful, and there was no pressure to make a purchase. I’d recommended anyone to bring their business here.

1/27/2021Update: As you know it has been two weeks since this review was presented. There has been no resolution to our problem.It appears we are the ones who have to call them all the time. We call and they never have an answer or are to busy and will call us back, which doesnt happen. We even went in to no avail. Meanwhile we are stuck with a car we are scared to drive, always afraid something is going to happen to it.Getting pretty discouraged.I was told they now have a place that checks the cars out before they are sold, sure wish they had it in place before we bought ours.It looks like we are stuck with this lemon and are going to spend $4000.00 to $6000.00 to put an engine in it.This has to be the worse place to buy a used vehicle from.We bought one had problems of it using oil.Took it back for the problem said we needed to take it to the manufacturing dealer.First of all when they changed the oil their expert mechanic didnt put the drain plug in correctly and all the undercarriage was covered in oil. But they told us at Ford the didnt see any problems.They should be made to disclose any issues with the vehicle like private sellers have to when asked, and yes we asked.Buyer beware.The manager told us We didnt ask you to come in hereShould have walked out then, but we really need a vehicle.Oh buy the way, this happened to be the nicest used vehicle they would even show us.Update. To the owner:We havent came to a resolution yet.We arent even coming in untilJanuary 18, 2021.If things get resolved satisfactory then I will edit my post.I hope very much it works outThank you

Jake helped me out amazingly! I had seen a Buick lesabre and fell in love with it(I’m an old soul at heart) and wanted the car. What was only supposed to be me coming and looking at the car ended up with a purchase (which at first I was nervous about but needed something to get to work up in Indy) and they reassured me they wouldn’t let me walk out of there with anything I wasn’t comfortable with paying, And they ended up helping me get a price I was comfortable paying! When signing the financial contract, I noticed the value of my trade in appeared to be $700 less than what we agreed on. I was told it was a computer system error. I contacted ford of Columbus on 4/23/21 in hopes to purchase a Bronco sport Badlands or outer banks trim. I was told they have one and it could be delivered the next day! Awesome, amazing! I requested pictures of the inside never got them, the vehicle arrives and its neither of the trims requested, its a lower trim with ALOT less features. I advised I didnt want it and sent the drivers home. The dealership called back, promised $2000, leather seats, cargo shelf and remote start would all be added. I was then told remote start couldnt be fulfilled, and $1000 of the $2000 would be used for the leather, but I would still be getting $1000, leather seats and the cargo shelf and this would take 2-3 days, I agreed and sign the papers. Almost 4 weeks later the vehicle has leather and is in our drive way. No paper work, the shelf is here but they didnt add the track system to the cargo area so that the shelf can be used and no $1000 check as promised. No one will return my calls. Additionally I have recieved a toll bill from the delivery I have not recieved a response from that either.

A very simple service job failed. I had a 10am oil change and recall scheduled, something that seems easy enough, right?The car was promised to be done by 1pm, but the service advisor Jeff seemed confident it would be done before that. Cool!By about 12:30 I hadn’t heard anything so I called in to see how things were going, the car hadn’t been started yet but would be once they got back from lunch. Should be done in about an hour.By 3pm I got the text that it was ready. Awesome, let’s go get the car! I get there and tried to pay for my oil change, to which the service advisor says they didn’t have me down for an oil change. Whatever, I’ll take care of it myself. Not like it’s the end of the world.I go out to the car and it still had the plastic wrap on the seat, tag hanging from the windshield, paper mat on the floor and things from the glove box are scattered over the floor.Very disappointing service appointment.

Customer lounge was clean and spacious with free coffee. When the scheduled work was completed I was given a complete explanation of what was done, as well as, what needs to be done.
