This place is very homey and wonderful! Food is delicious, and people are very very nice. We asked them for recommendations and what they suggested were awesome. We tried kebabs and many main dishes and they’re are very tasty and spicy, not hot though. I would definitely suggest trying this place :)

I liked trying international food specially when it is owned by a family. We went there as a group of six and ordered different dishes. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious wasn’t healthy at all and too oily. Also it tasted so different so before you go there make sure that you like those kind of food.

Good family-style food: nothing fancy in the presentation, but well executed classics with robust flavors. I was very impressed with the chicken: not only did it taste amazing, but it was still crispy when served in the stew (rather than becoming soggy). Service was minimal since it primarily operated as a take-out at that time. The lady cooking the food was so happy that you can easily tell she enjoys what she does. My only suggestion to the cook: run the spare meat parts through a slow cooker to break the gelatin in the tendons (stewing them doesnt fully prepare the tendons otherwise). I look forward to trying out more dishes!

I usually don’t take the time out to make reviews but this needed to be done because I’m super annoyed. I usually go to another popular African restaurant on the North side but since there was an hour and a half wait there I decided to come here. I ordered cassava leaves with beef. When I got it home the food was dried out and pasty with two big chunks of tough beef that I didn’t even eat. I feel as if the cook scrapped the bottom of the pot for my dish not to mention there were random pieces of old dried Fish and fish bones in my dish that wasn’t supposed to have fish in it. Needless to say I’ll stick to the restaurant that never disappoints me and has a wait for a reason.

I got the stewed spinach and fried plantains with tripe and cows foot and it was delicious. It was a medium level of spiciness. My family got the fried rice with chicken and beef, which was mildly spicy, and Jollof rice with chicken, which was a medium spice. We loved the food and well definitely be coming back.

My friends and I ordered three dishes to share: jollaf rice with beef, okra soup with beef and fufu, and the warrior platter with chicken. I had been craving fufu ever since I was in Ghana. This place did not disappoint! And the staff are very friendly. Highly recommend.

My brother and I had the pleasure of dining at this establishment last week. I had the joloff rice with chicken and he had egusi stew. The staff engaged us early to offer suggestions and to answer any questions we may have. We enjoyed their hospitality and food, what more could you want?! If you are looking for delicious, authentic Nigerian cuisine served in a modestly appointed but clean, welcoming atmosphere, give this place a try.We will be back soon! Thank you!

Review №38

I went into this restaurant due to the high rating on Google. I ordered the beans and plantain dish for $15 and added chicken for I think was $3.49. Theyre currently not allowing dine in due to Covid, ok, so took my food home in about 15 minutes after I got it. Heres my honest review:1. Good thing I didnt get to experience dine in because the place is quite messy and doesnt look like its been cleaned for a while.2. The young lady at the front desk, which is really to the side of the entrance didnt look too enthusiastic, doesnt respond to your questions, and doesnt seem to care much, she was just terrible to say the least.3. Waited 45 minutes for the food. Food came out, was placed on a dirty counter, sat there for quite a while. I walked up to the counter and asked how long the food would take and pretty much startled the lady as she enjoyed her chicken leg. She grabbed the food off this dirty table and handed it to me nothing uttered!4. The black eyed peas were flavorful and spicey- way I like it, the plantains were soggy, greasy and inedible, so I tossed it, the chicken was as tough as a twig, so I tossed it. So all in all, I paid almost $20 for black eyed peas.Needless to say I will not be back here, nope!!!

Excellent little place serving food not commonly found here in Columbus. We had fried plantains, goat, jollof rice, fufu, beef and a stew made from melon seeds and spinach. It was spicy — but not hot — and they had a little habanero sauce on the side for those of us who wanted to kick it up the scoville scale a couple notches. Not pictured here is the hibiscus ginger drink. Now THAT was spicy. And totally unique. Thank you, Esther and Esther for a great lunch!

I’m no expert on west African cuisine. I’d only just learned about fufu watching a Netflix cooking show just a few weeks before I came across this place on google. My husband and I love trying different styles of ethnic food, so we decided to give this place a try. We ordered the sautéed spinach with chicken and fufu. We weren’t sure how to eat it, but I basically just filled my fork with a little bit of everything and savored the whole bite. The food seems authentic, and the flavors are dynamic and kept me wondering “what spice is that?” Like I said, I don’t know enough about west African food, but one guy came in to pickup a carryout order, and we overheard him say he drove an hour for this food! To me that means it must be good lol I’m giving it 4 out of 5 stars for its uniqueness and boldness of flavor. I’ll have to educate myself more on African flavors to tell you more about the dishes I try...

Plantains was not fully cooked, and was very hard. Paid extra for goat, ITS EXTREMELY TOO TOUGH TO EAT! got white rice instead of jaloff rice, and the white rice was over cooked. The turkey in the egusi soup was also too hard and dry. I saw good reviews, it sucks i got the bad food on the day i went. First and Last time im going!

Review №70

I will not review this restaurant poorly because the quality of the food seemed amazing and the authenticity based on what Ive read and seen of Nigerian food was spot on. We tried the fufu stew and the Amala soup to really get a taste of traditional Nigerian dishes. However, the food is not for me and I just didnt like it. The paste-like dumplings have a texture I cant get past and everything smelled heavily like fish/seaweed. The meat was cooked well and the spices and flavors were interesting. Nigerian food is just not for me. I assume the less adventurous dishes would be amazing (Jallof, for example).
