Everyone working at Columbia Hearing Center are fantastic! They communicate well and are so kind and pleasant. No matter how long it has taken for Nathan or Jason to get my cell phone app set up to bluetooth my hearing aids and anything else Ive needed as someone who is technologically challenged, theyve resolved the issue for me.When entering the office, Katie is the first person you see. She has a great personality and is always quick to smile. Katie, Nathan and Jason are very knowledgeable too. I have recommended Columbia Hearing to several people already.

Nathan explained all his findings in detail. No rushing, answered all of my questions very patiently. I left with hearing aids in place and could hear the turning signal on my car for the first time! Also the aids are very comfortable and hardly visible.

From the phone call to set up an appointment until my most recent fitting my experience there has been excellent!! They answered questions, worked with my insurance company and made sure the aids I got worked for me. Nathan Northup provided me with an excellent hearing assessment at Columbia Hearing Center. All my questions were answered. He gave a very thorough examination of each ear and then provided me with a pair of loaner hearing aids for me to wear for a week long period. His assessment has more than provided me with the necessary tools to make the best decision when I return next week for purchasing my next set of hearing aids. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. I was getting an ear mold for custom fitted earplugs. It was actually relaxing and felt good. I would do it every week...hahaha

I have been going to Columbia Hearing Center for many years and have always felt that I was getting personalized service. Nathan and Jason are sensitive to your hearing needs and always try to find the best solution for you. Katie, the receptionist, the terrific. She treats you like you have been her best friend forever, and is always a welcoming voice either on the phone or when you walk into the office. I moved to Florida recently, but I came back to Columbia to visit. I had new hearing aids that I purchased when in Florida, but I needed some supplies. Columbia Hearing had them in stock and I was able to get in the same day I called. Thank you, Nathan, Jason, and Katie for years of great service.

First of all, do not procrastinate if you have bad hearing. The technology is so amazing now that I regret not going sooner. I can go to the movies again, have conversations in large crowds, hear everyone in a crowded restaurant, etc. Oh yeah – music is awesome too! The staff was awesome as well. The Tesla of Hearing, this little office has top technology, super-knowledgeable audiologists and a receptionist that exudes Disney-style service. The only negatives are that the store-front is hard to find and looks plain. Inside, however, you’ll find a gem. Lots of selection and appointments scheduled quickly with a generous time allocation. Experienced, caring practitioners make it a 5 star experience.

I cannot say enough GREAT things about Columbia Hearing Center! I have been using hearing aids for almost three years. I have tried the services of two other companies in my area, but could not find the perfect fit for my hearing aids. Nathan and Jason at Columbia Hearing Center take the time to listen to MY communication needs. After three visits and adjustments, Im hearing better than I ever have! Nathan told me about a product he would like me to use to help me with my hearing aids and communication. The program is called LACE (Listening and Communication Enhancement). The program takes 30 minutes a day for 20 days, and I was able to complete each session using my personal computer at home. My boyfriend, Jerry, sat through each session with me and it was quite a learning experience for him. He was able to get a glimpse into what I hear sometimes! The LACE program gave me tips to help enhance my ability to hear in noisy situations and also helped me overcome my hesitation of telling others about my hearing loss and how they can help me better understand. I highly recommend the LACE program to anyone!!! Thanks again Nathan, Jason, and Katie for everything!!!

As one who often offers suggestions for improvements, I struggle to offer anything here. Appointments are easy to fit into my schedule and during the appointment I feel like I’m their most important customer. Could not be more happy with their support.

I went to Columbia Hearing Center because they were associated with my insurance. After my first appointment I was very pleased at how well they explained the settings and programs for my particular hearing aids. I had no idea there was so much to decide on. They explained the technology in a matter that was very easy to understand and helped me apply it to the different situations in my life. I found them very helpful and would recommend them to anyone seeking improve their hearing.

Very nice to talk with, but they prey on older citizens and charge a fortune. Would not advise going here. I have worn hearing airs thirty years and this is not where you want to purchase them.

I have to keep finding things wrong with my ears so I have an excuse to go back and visit these wonderful people! My hearing still sucks but I know they have done what they can! A great mix of competence and really good attitude. What more could you want?

Have been amazed at the level of welcome and knowledge. The receptionist Katie reflects so well on the easy open atmosphere. They are interested in listening and give me such valuable answers to my problems with my hearing aides and ringing in my ears. I love talking with them and Im never charged an extra dime. Part 2 life after deathWith all of these contributions in play life for myself grandma and felt more and more like death had all but ran its course. Just not in the physical state yet. Loss of mind, thought processes, the ability to see, hear, and retain. Ponder the thought of losing all your senses so rapidly along with losing your mind. Can you feel the presence of darkness, the frustration, the longing to make sense of things, the desire to be heard, or need to feel understood? I have seen death closely and all to often. I’ve spent days praying death doesn’t get the upper hand and I to am soon forgotten. This unimaginable way of life has lingered amongst me and my grandma for years. I feel like I am drowning in water and no matter what I can’t tread water. A closer look reveals to me that I am not even trying and that I am okay with this diminishing behavior. . What does that mean, in my opinion tell you it felt like we were both dead to the world and each other.All that being said I am here to declare there is and can be life after death. What do I mean. Well thanks to the good people and programs available in Columbia I was able to find a few hidden angels, which not only changed life in a whole, but also help me and grandma to be recessitated after death. The assistance and care provided, from these angels came in many forms. Especially the adoration, love, care and compassion of the Doctors and staff of Columbia Hearing located here in Columbia, Missouri.

They perform thorough testing and do an excellent job on ear molds and fitting aids. My ears are extremely narrow and they worked with me to get the look, sound and security I needed. These folks are everything youd want to have: friendly, highly knowledgeable and competent, patient (important for elderly people like my mom), very responsive to problems, and they have gone above and beyond in quickly solving problems for my 89 year old mother who I care for (she damaged one hearing aid and lost another).What I didnt realize until I started writing this and looked at their web site is that they are family owned & operated - I like that. The offices are always neat, clean, and comfortable. They are not extravagant in furnishings and appointments and that keeps overhead low, and it seems that translates into lower costs. They have a small assortment of current magazines and newspapers, and a Keurig coffeemaker for customer use - with a good selection of coffees and teas, ceramic mugs, and real half-and-half (nice touch!! - I hate fake creamer!!)They do have very good brands and selections of hearing aids (my mom has Widex brand) including what appear to be state-of-the-art support equipment for testing hearing, examining ears, and fine-tuning hearing aids. They also take the time to fully understand patient needs, thoroughly discuss details and options, and answer all questions. In my experience, they look to solve the problem and fit the need rather than push the big-ticket hearing aids - they understand people have budgets and they also are great at follow up with calls and email too.I have no affiliation with Columbia Hearing Center other than my mom being a client (I found them in a web search). If you check my other reviews on Google, youll see that I always give highly detailed and thorough reviews - and I do not give high grades lightly.I call em as I see em, and these professionals have earned 5-stars from me!

I have needed hearing aids for years. I have visited various locations throughout Columbia. Columbia Hearing Center found me the right hearing aids and worked with me to make sure they worked well. They also worked with my employer to make sure that I had what I needed to be successful at work. Their customer service is by far the best of any company I worked with in Columbia. The staff are all extremely helpful and responsive. I had a problem with an ear drum for which I thought Id need to see the doctor and they saw me right away. Thye treated me and it cleared up right away -- without charge!

My elderly grandmother, who lives two hours away, was brought by ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia after a fall. She arrived with her hearing aids, but not her charger. I contacted Columbia Hearing Center to purchase batteries as a temporary solution until we could retrieve her charger. I was greeted at the door by a pleasant gentleman who not only had batteries for me, but took the time to show me how to remove the expensive chargeable batteries, provided a separate pouch to store the chargeable batteries and showed me how to install the temporary batteries and remove them until we could get her charger. Columbia Hearing Center provided exemplary customer service and genuine care during a stressful time. I highly recommend Columbia Hearing Center.

I purchased my hearing aids through the Hearing Center a little over a year ago and have been nothing but pleased with the service and attention to my needs. Both Jason and Nathan take time to listen and understand any issues or concerns I am having related to hearing. I thought I knew the brand I wanted when I went in but purchased a different brand after consulting with Nathan and Jason.
