Great staff! Especially, I appreciate Carolyn, the lady working at the self-check out area. She picked up my cardholder I accidentally left in the shopping basket. She kept it safe until I went there again, 3 hours later. It had some cash, my drivers license, and credit cards! She made my day!! Thank you Carolyn!

I appreciate that you have an EV Charging station! I will say, though, that the rates are very high. Most grocery stores that have EV charging offer it for free to incentivize customers to shop at their store. But even it you charged, the cost of $.39-$.49 per kWh is actually about the same or higher per mile as if I was filling up a gas car and probably around 4x the actual cost of the electricity. Wish you would rethink those rates.

Gerbs is a joke. They didn’t have anyone in deli to slice some turkey. One of the busiest places in the store they don’t have it staffed and management could not help. Not shopping at Gerbs.

I ordered a bucket of flowers for my daughters wedding anniversary on 7th of August to be delivered on 8th. Today is Aug 9 and they have not been delivered yet. Horrible service by Just flowers. Never order them again in my lifetime.

Gerbes is an incredibly old brand that seems to be in the middle of reinventing itself. The store in particular has gone about modernizing its systems. But its a slow process and as long as they try to hold on to those legacy systems and shoehorn them into new systems, new customers will be dragged through the mud to please theyre aging demographic. If you made it to the bottom of this review I might be being too serious but we live in a serious time.

I was disappointed that the three times I visited this store this week there were never any working shopping carts available inside the store. They were either in use or out in the parking lot and customers had to get one from the parking lot. Store staff was largely inattentive to my requests for assistance, and overall this location at least seems very poorly managed. When I couldn’t locate what I was looking for on two occasions I asked and store staff directed me to one of several possible aisles my items might be on, but never offered to help find the items. I did not find my items and eventually went to another store.

Great quality produce. Amazing customer service. Classy beer and wine bar. These are just some of the reasons I dont shop anywhere else. Oh, did I mention they provide snacks?

The sushi is pretty good, its 5 USD on Fridays. I also took a mean poop in their bathrooms, which actually arent that bad for a grocery store bathroom, though I would complain that its right inside the clearance section. 7/10

Gerbes keeps making changes for the worse. It used to be a decent store, now everyone I know complains about it and many have stopped shopping there. Today was absolutely an exercise in frustration. They have removed MOST of the checkout lanes - this is not an exaggeration - and replaced them with self-checkouts. The self-checkouts are VERY SLOW compared to Walmart or any other store. It takes me forever to checkout just waiting for the machine to beep. I was at Walmart 15 minutes ago and the machines were so much faster in comparison. Also the digital coupons never work. Nobody asked for digital coupons in the first place. Nobody wanted a Gerbes app on their phone (this is coming from a guy that makes mobile apps for a living, btw). So each time I use a digital coupon I need to wait for a manager to manually give me credit.They also stopped carrying many of my favorite products.They also now charge for cash back now, ugh. American consumers do not like to be nickel-and-dimed, Kroger....

11/03/20202 Mask mandate not enforced. Actually not even mentioned. Multiple people walking around this evening with no mask on at all, some walking around with masks around their chins.This Gerbes is usually my favorite place to shop. I guess thats a thing of the before times now.😷

Ordered a birthday cake online and when I picked it up, it was a totally different design than what I ordered. Apparently the cake design you order online isnt always available at the store, but they dont contact you about not having the right design (or even know they made a mistake, likely because they are going off of names and ID numbers not photos of the design selected online). There is a major management issue anddisconnect problem between the special occasion cakes sold on the website and what is in stock and actually made in the store. Store management needs to get with the corporate office/website team to figure this out.

If you go after 7 pm the checkout is slow for no reason

Hands down the worst enforcement of masks Ive seen during the pandemic. Went after work on a Monday and saw over a dozen people without masks. Could barely go down any of the aisles because there were so many milling around.Never coming back.

Very disappointed in the service. I placed an order to be picked up. Received an email that 5 items were missing. Two of the items, fruit, they said they were out. I went in to the store, they had plenty of the product. When the young man came out, I canceled the order. I have requested a refund twice from Customer Service and they have ignored my request. I will never shop there again.

There fresh salmon is the best. The rotisserie chicken is amazing but the pot pie is awful. Hope they stop offering it.This is my favorite store in Columbia.

I do not recommend their pickup service. I waited for over an hour for my pickup order...my original slot was 4pm to 5pm and I received a call asking me to push it back to 5 or 5:30pm. Got there at 5 did not get my order until after 6 pm. Looked like there was only 1 guy working the pickup orders so I know its not his fault but do better Gerbes this is so frustrating!!

Not worth $85 and lazily made. Put more effort this was for a birthday! And you left out a lot of things that was on the picture.

Picked up an order and waited 50 minutes to receive and had a scheduled pick up time. Gentleman who delivered was courteous and informed me several of my items weren’t available to me, one of which was bread. I asked if there was bread they could have substituted of which he replied yes. Said he doesn’t know why they didn’t. Once I got home I had a bag of someone else’s frozen foods. The ice cream I ordered wasn’t with my order. Called the store and I was put through to a rude lady who said I could come in to store and get but wouldn’t bring out to my car because they were too busy. She began blaming their corporate office and kept saying it wasn’t her fault. Terrible customer service. Don’t use their order online to pick up!!!

This is a great place to shop after a long day at work. Just. Very convenient and great parking. The associates are very helpful and very polite. (Most of them). It makes so much more pleasant when they smile and appreciate you for paying their salary. Great people!!!

Two is out of respect to those with their head into their job and great character. However, most arent customer service oriented. The prices are good. Its been a love hate relationship over the years.Remember: when you purchase a money order SIGN IT, CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS if after you make a purchase. Why would I say this? Well, after, witnessing it multiple times and then going thru it, take an educated guess what happened?My issue is the tone that comes with it. When observing there are a handful that really dont care about your CONCERN and you are out of luck basically. Knowing in Sales/Customer Service you arent trained to look at an issue as a personal attack, but an opportunity to build a positive impression and good relationship.Instead, its a symposium at this place or just dont care much and play crazy. Yikes! I no longer shop here. Im fine traveling a few more miles with the competition with the peace of mind to know any concerns are dealt with positive, reasonably, and fairly.

My primary grocery store in town, with a friendly staff and decent selection and prices. I wish theyd stop rearranging the store! The little bar is great, but I wish the liquor department had a broader selection of beers. I really like the pharmacy.

Very disappointed in Gerbs tonight. Have gone for years and been a loyal customer. Tonight was discouraging and had terrible customer service with bad attitudes and poor excuses. This one the one on Broadway in Columbia, MO.

Always good prices, meat & produce good quality. Its a little hard to find things now that theyre reorganizing, but theyve done pretty good pointing you in the right direction. With their Gerbes card, its pretty much always the lowest price, and the fuel points are great.

This store used to be excellent. I went there several times a week because it was easy to get in and out. Since the South Columbia Gerbes store has closed this store has really gone down hill. The main problem is that store management refuses to recognize that more people go to this store now. Many times now there is only two check out lanes open, one being the express lane, with long lines and management takes no action to open more lines. It is almost like management would rather upset customers than take their money,

Perfect neighborhood grocery store. It underwent a makeover in 2015 and now boasts a Starbucks, a bar in the liquor section and an expanded natural foods section. Carries a nice selection of international foods. The store-brand foods also are pretty decent. Be sure to use your Gerbes card to save money at the Gerbes gas station.

Generally go here for produce, meats and bulk foods. They have an excellent cheese specialty & separate coffee, & florist shops within the store. Good deli. Currently they are doing some in store remodeling.

I used to work at this store in the 90s before it was remodelled. Very nice clean store. Great prices. They now have a beer bar and deli area where you can sit down and eat. Lots of parking.

Gerbes is one of the best grocery stores in Columbia. Always clean and well stocked. With the rewards card you get some very good deals for your money.

Good place for food. But never ever go there to shopping when you are hurry. Because it would waste your time. I am regular customer there but never get what I want in a min since they are changing position all the time. Every time I went there , I feel as stranger coz of that changing

The worst customer service I have ever gotten. Very rude! Just wanted to return food that I bought TODAY that had had expired 2 wks ago. 🤮 Very rude and acting like it was my fault? This is not the first time the customer service has failed. Pay more and quit hiring rude people.

I absolutely love Gerbes. Their mobile app that allows you to download coupons is awesome and makes saving money so easy. Their prices are good to begin with so its a win-win. Plus you earn fuel points with each purchase to save money on gas. Wouldnt go anywhere else.

My personal experience is as followed: customer service , employees knowledge, andManagements knowledge, behaviors, understanding knowledge of ad prices 0.. when a customer tells you that in local pepper is on sale for $0.99 a pound you dont try to charge them three something a pound, then almost in five something a pound, and, then three something a pound , and then two something a pound; again. However, then tell them they can go to customer service, and get the change back. So, you want me to stand in another line. Another employee had to help him do his job. Finished running his mouth off to a very heavy set black woman. And she was checking out at the self-serve kiosk. She proceeded to give me dirty looks. How to typical of someone of her standard of thinking for her age. And the funny thing is this employee thought he did nothing wrong at 6:30 p.m. tonight. This is at the self-checkout. Employees blame customers for their mistakes and for their laziness. Doe everyone here act like that or just your employees. But I guess someone with a PhD doesnt know s***.. Im glad you cleared it up for me AL. Chris had to come over and help him with his job thank you Chris.

Has option to buy gas. Easy in and out. Generic Kroger brands are good quality and economical. Good staff diversity. Would prefer checkers not have personal conversation with baggers while checking my order out.

Be careful to read fine print on sale tags. Suppose to be a quick stop after work on hurry and just see sale price in small print have to buy certain number of items to get sale price.

I love this store! The employees in this store have always been more than helpful and cheerful when I have been there. They have redone the store over the summer and I love the layout, the new products, etc. They are adding a gas station too, which is great because I use fuel saver points.

Its family oriented because its food, not porn... what a ridiculous review. I have been here when there is rotting fruit with gnats on, mildewed bread that I had to show to an employee... but its usually alright. Dont go after 9pm, though, because the night shift dude has 0 social skills and insists on talking to you, no matter if you try to ignore him or not.

The people who have helped me at this store are really wonderful. I especially love the natural foods section and the deli. I miss the wide variety of bulk foods that used to be in the natural foods section.

When one applies for any department besides cashier/bagger. You are asked/forced to *help bag*. All other stores are not like that. Most places a bagger/cashier is one department, well not here. So take that into consideration if you really want to apply for this minimum wage job.

I suggest if you shop here, check your receipt before you leave the store. Around 50% of the time they overcharge me. Ive stopped going there as my only place to get groceries because of their new three price items. I tried to do the digital coupon thing but I refuse to play that time consuming game and dont want to give over all of my phone info for them to sell. Also their prices have gone up since the renovation. Some in tricky ways like cheese went to 6oz from 8oz. Finally, their bulk section has filthy scoop holders.

Neighborhood grocery store that has great bulk and organic selections.It is NOT in bad location, per the other reviews, just in a part of town not close to campus, BUT walkable for many folks who live just west of downtown.,I have shopped there for years and have never seen a panhandler (other then Salvation Army at Christmas).

Gerbes is an ok place to shop, and my personal favorite grocery store. I love the layout and set up. That being said, customer service is a little lacking, and if your looking for a higher paying job, other grocery stores can provide.

Visited Broadway store in Columbia at about 3pm on 1/31/17 cheese department. There were two People behind the counter (girl and a guy). Neither acknowledged I was standing there. I asked if could sample some cheese, apparently did not hear me or didnt want to. Then they both walked off while I was still standing there and then a couple minutes went by they both came back and the girl was playing with her phone and the guy was just standing there. I said loud enough so they could hear that I guess I would just go get some cheddar.

Nice store, recently remodeled with an expanded health food section. They also now have their own gas station in the parking lot, which is tied to their Shoppers Card.

Dissatisfied! They were open till midnight but even before 10 they ONLY had self checkouts open! Good deals? Maybe yes, but thats ridiculous & taking away from peoples jobs! No wonder the one on the other side of town went out of business! Nobody to even help you find things....

I had to go to the pharmacy for meds and they always make sure my scripts are correct. Amanda, Dennis, Ben all of the pharmacy staff is fantastic.

Gerbes on Broadway is a nice neighborhood grocery store, and the recent renovations and addition of a gas station just made it better. You can now buy a pint and sip while you shop. Great staff, especially Steve. Bravo!

Had the worst experience with a floral delivery. Said the person wasnt home, even though she was there all day, and didnt get a notice from, which wouldve been nice to know. Will not get flowers from here agian.
