Do not get this company. They have a technician name Bobby who will come out to your home and improperly installed equipments, and the owner failed to rectify the issues. They will try and make you pay again. My mom had them to install springs and two remotes. The faulty springs that were installed, caused the door to buckled and jammed. The garage door is now bent and unable to work. My mom paid over 800.00 for that poor services, and now they want this 83 year old to pay another over 700.00.There was never a third party working on the door, why would we allow a third party when your company was paid. Also, Mr. AW stated he will testify that he never worked on the garage. He only pulled the garage door down manually after it failed because the door had already jammed, and the garage door panels were bent and garage door failed to come up or down from the poorly installed springs. The only reason it was manually pulled down to avoid any creatures or anyone from walking under the garage. So get your facts together.Your company was paid 800.00 and failed to properly installed what you were paid to do. My sister stated, she never told you a third-party work on the garage door because there was nothing wrong with the door prior to your company installing the springs…:.How would you know anything when you have avoid us, and failed to return any our calls.Per your statement in this review, you offered 279.00 which is an insult to my mother who you have taken advantage of an 83 year old and now wanting another 700.00. Really sir!!! Make it right and refund my mother her money!!!Because of your failure to correct this issue, my mother is unable to access the entrance and exit of the garage door. This lady is confined to a wheelchair. I have a odd garage that is an addition to the house I bought. A conventional opener would not work, so I was hoping a side mount would. Bilt Rite came to my house to inspect. First they were on time which is always nice, but I was disappointed to find out that even a side mount would not work. However the professionalism of Bilt Rite to straight forward tell me it would not work and that they unfortunately cannot assist me, instead of trying to discover some way to get my business just to get my business, is a level of honesty and to the point communication that is rare. I appreciate their honesty and would highly recommend them for that reason. Stand up people in my eyes.

Bilt Rite sent out a gentleman named Bobby to repair one of my garage doors this week. Bobby arrived earlier than expected but not without making a call first to see if the time worked for me. He immediately assessed the situation, retrieved his tools and went straight to work. When finished, he tested the door multiple times and then asked me to try it and make sure I was satisfied with the way the door was operating. He even went a step further and checked my other garage door to make sure everything was working well with it!Bobby was very polite and professional! We had a spring break on our garage door. While they were here, we had the garage door opener replaced. The initial call to Built Rite went smooth with the employee asking all the questions needed to give me a price over the phone. That was the same price we paid when the service was complete. The service technician was prompt and professional. He made sure all components were operating properly, the remotes were programmed and we understood how the new opener worked before he left. He also left his work space better than he found it. I would absolutely recommend Built Rite in Columbia for any garage door repair or installation.

I was having a issue with my garage doors sticking when opening and called overhead door co.Technician Bryan Legrand came out and diagnosed the problem as being the weather stripping was sticking to my door. He gave me a estimate to return and replace the weather stripping. He returned replaced the weather stripping and lubed the rollers and did a overall checkup on both doors. He was very courteous,and professional and I am very pleased with his work and will use Built Rite Overhead Doors in the future.

I will respond to each statement that you have listed below:Respond #1For and most, there was never any mention of a new garage door simply because there was not any need for a new garage door. The door was working properly, and the issue was not the garage door. The issues were the spring door garage opener and the remote as we did discuss. If your technician, Bobby, conveyed to you that he advised me that a new garage door was needed because the original garage door was an old one, that is an untrue allegation.Respond #2Around about July 25, 2021, when I attempted to use the remote, and as the door was going up, the garage door began to entangle (as specifically), stated in Ms. Wilson’s letter). However, at that time, the door stopped halfway up and would not go up or down because of the poorly installed springs by your technician. I never stated that anyone came out and worked on the garage door. You and your technician have made a false accusation that I truly resent and do not appreciate. I scheduled and received installation for a garage door opener within a week. The product was installed within my appointment time and met all of my expectations (the remote, the button inside the garage, and keypad/code worked seamlessly) I was able to add a keypad to my order at the time of service (last minute decision on my end). Layne, the employee who installed my opener, had great customer service and completed his task in a timely manner. A very personable individual who did an amazing job installing my opener and answering the millions of questions I threw at him. On Fathers Day 6/20/21) came home from Church to find our garage door not opening. Turned out it was a snapped spring. I called Bilt Rite on Monday morning and they promptly scheduled the repair for Tuesday afternoon. Bryan Legrand was my technician. He called before the appointed time and actually arrived early. He couldnt have been a warmer personality. He started the work right away. I literally stood there and watched him do his thing. Within 20 mins my door was working like a charm. I paid using a credit card and got the receipt emailed to me. Great experience. I can recommend without any reservations!

I dont know when Bilt Rite installed my garage door, as it was here and working great when I moved in. I havent had much trouble with it, but Ive had to call Bilt Rite a three times over the years. Doors look so awesome, install was super quick and clean Mark E. did a wonderful job installing in the freezing cold. Only complaint is with sales and communication. We picked what we wanted in July 2020 received an estimate via e-mail in July, responded that it all looked good and we wanted to move forward. We contacted sales numerous times asking questions but were never told about the contract not signed. In October we asked about the timeline and sales via text informed us we never signed a contract so we quickly did and doors didnt arrive until February 2021. If sales had told us in the e-mail that the contract was attached to the bottom of the email ( nothing stated contract attached) we may have seen it, or perhaps when we never signed it we could have been contacted with a friendly need to sign text or email.We are very satisfied with the product and installation.

To be in business that long says something about the company. They are also active in the area supporting various local charities.Ashleigh was very helpful and also suggested a solution for my shop. Its been here for 20 years and I have wanted to have a wider door installed. She made a suggestion and helped me find someone that could help me prepare for a larger door.The installation was fast and the installer(Mark) knew exactly what he was doing. We had to replace our Garage Door Opener. We contacted Bilt Rite Garage Doors. They have been so easy to work with. They scheduled an appointment to look at the problem and immediately scheduled a convenient appointment for us to fix the problem. They were prompt, professional, and very informative. They first tried to replace the belt in the old garage door opener and determined that it was actually the motor that needed replaced. They quickly replaced it.
