Harolds better watch out because Donut D Light is coming for the title of best donut in Columbia. These donuts almost feel unfinished but its because of that that theyre so unique. The old fashioned had a simple chocolate dipped frosting that let the crunchy crust and sweet, fresh bready insides speak for themselves. The blueberry cake had a soft glaze and tasted almost like a cupcake in a donut form. Their cinnamon rolls prove that Donut D Light shines as a bakery that knows how to make fresh bread from scratch. Overall, my favourite part was the perfect level of sweetness. Not overly glazed or sugared, its perfect harmony between lightly sweet and flavourful yet still a satisfying donut experience. I highly recommend!!

This place is awesome! I wanted to try more of the item that they had as everything looks really tasty. What I thought was really cool is that they fill your pastries on demand. So when I wanted a Bavarian cream filled maple long john, I didnt have to worry that there were only chocolate angel cream (hate that stuff lol) filled long johns available. Its a really cool set up actually. I dont know why more people dont do it that way... I guess it is an extra step at the register, but one that really makes a difference when it comes to customer satisfaction. They also have a wide selection of drinks that are hard to get everywhere else like milk and boba teas which I wanted to try more of... The guy at the register was friendly as well! I will DEFINITELY go back!!!

I visited the store on Broadway this morning and had a chocolate Long John and a coffee. I was surprised when the asked me if I would like a custom filling. I had never had this before. There is a list of 10+ fillings to choose from and I got mine and it was delicious. The staff was very friendly. There were a lot of tables that were spread out for you to sit at. There were so many choices. I cant wait to come back again.

A decent donut shop but not 5 star worthy. The cashiers were professional but not overly friendly. The joint was clean, although like another reviewer said, the donuts were not behind glass, they are sitting on shelves.There were several small tables, a cooler with various drinks and coffee.I ordered 4 donuts, the best one was the maple bar covered in bacon pieces.The creme filled donut was filled by a small bag under the counter while I stood there. I was given the choice of Bavarian or white creme. The donuts are freshly made and def worth a stop. #supportlocalbusiness

Long John tiny amount of filling in very end only .Last time filling was I the whole long John . Disappointed!I need to add , I only mentioned this and found out it was the young girls first day on the job ! They apologized. I understand .Since then the filling has been perfect ! The recent opening of a popular donut chain on Rangeline got me craving donuts again. Been there 4 times and left disappointed...every time. I remembered Donut D-Light was a bit farther down the road. For some reason I thought it had closed too. They were open! Hands down best and most reasonably priced donuts Ive had in Columbia. If you want a fresh, old fashioned donut made with love, this is the place! Great selection.

Stopped in this morning and bought a large cinnamon roll. I had a very specific craving and have always loved getting my donuts there. However, today the cinnamon roll was mostly pure dough once you got past the first ring. Just ate what I could.

Love the donuts, similar to the shops back home! Pricing is a but confusing. It seems to vary quite a bit. 2 glaze donuts, 1 bag of donut holes and a croissant came to $8.10. The cashier said a donut is 1.10 each, so was the crossiant $4?

Ordered via Grubhub this morning and will definitely be choosing this shop for any future donut cravings. Within a couple of minutes of ordering, I got a call because they didn’t have/were out of a couple things on my order. I ordered a filled long John and they were out, so they ended up giving me 3 other filled donuts to make up for it and I didn’t request or ask, they just did it! Great customer service, they go above and beyond it seems! And the donuts were delicious!

These are the best donuts in town, in my opinion! However, they are almost always out of everything, they say, if you try to order anything online or ahead of time over the phone. If you go into the shop in person, theyll be fully stocked, so I dont know what thats about.

My roommates and I used to be SOOOOO happy that we lived next to this donut shop. They have some of the best donuts and can fill most of them on the spot so its like they dont run out of filled donuts as quick as other shops! Plus they do a LOT of good charitable work and donating for the community kids, churches, and groups. Truly good hearted people run this business and Im glad they are baking fresh donuts for us all to enjoy!

This place has incredibly tender cake donuts. Long johns and Bismarcks are filled to order with a variety of delicious fillings. The bacon on the maple bacon long john was fresh and tasty... the sugar-dusted lemon Bismarck was amazing!

I am what you would call a donut junkie. Thats why I couldnt believe I had only found out about Dixie cream last night when apparently, they have been around for a while. I have to say this donut shop is amazing. Ill keep coming back now.

Donuts were delicious! Far more so than any donuts from a chain. They were also much more reasonably priced than donuts from Harolds. There was a much larger selection as well.

Friendly customer service with a can do attitude. The owner makes his donuts in Auxvasse, Missouri and brings them all the way into Columbia each morning. Has Dunkin Donuts beat hands down!

The service is extremely fast and friendly but of the 4 kinds of donuts we purchased, only the cinnamon twists were great. The other kinds were virtually flavorless except for the taste of sugar. Their donuts used to be SO good but I am so sad to say that they arent very tasty anymore.

They are a tiny operation and have just one store so if you are in the need for a doughnut and a coffee, Skip the big box stores and chains and go to your local doughnut shop and support them!

Stop by 1 Sunday morning before work, I have pass by this little shop for 4 years now and I said I guess Ill try their donuts and when I went in it reminded me of the show 2 broke girls so I said hell yell because that is my favorite show, my badd I got off track but yes great donuts I had a jelly donut and a coffee btw you will need a baby bib to eat their jelly donuts, yes there is that much filling in it 💯
