Laurie makes the best Shrimp and Grits! Seriously, I have never had better. The homemade lemonade is delicious, I loved the lavender lemonade. The biscuits are on point!! The ability to love on the community on the food wall is such a gift. Thank you so much!! 💓

It takes awhile for the food to come out but its worth the wait. I had the best Shrimp and Grits that I have ever had and my wife had the Exceptional Soul Rolls which she thoroughly enjoyed. The staff is very friendly..

Stopped in on a Saturday morning and had the place to ourselves. Service was friendly and quick. Great coffee/tea selection. They even have coffee flights if you’re looking to try a few but don’t want to commit. We had the shrimp and grits with side of fried green tomatoes since everyone seems to be raving about them (and definitely worth the rave) and the buttermilk waffle with eggs and bacon. Food was delicious. We will be back regularly. Thanks for a great meal!

What a fantastic cafe! Food is made to order so it takes a little time (I think my order took about 25 minutes to come out, the place being pretty full), but it was the best grilled chicken salad I think Ive ever had. Very nice dining/hangout space. Lots of corners and nooks to get comfy in. Definitely worth checking out!

DELICIOUS! Went here for lunch on a whim and was very impressed!! Food was yummy! I got the fried chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. You can tell the food is made with LOVE! Definitely making this a regular lunch stop.

I was surprised by how great this place was. First of all, its coffee is supremely superb. Its very succinctly roasted and brewed. If you are picky about your coffee and call yourself a coffee connoisseur, then you will be VERY pleased with this place. They serve & sell Lancaster roasted Square One coffee. Their food is right on par with their coffee. You might want to come here just for the coffee if you live in the area or are traveling through the area. But the food is just as worthy. Almost everything is served with a biscuit because of the obviously southern infused flavors that inspire this restaurants menu. The biscuit was great. My eggs were great as well. The price is not cheap in my mind, but its also realistic according to the kind of cafe that it is with the kind of menu items they serve. The atmosphere of the shop is balanced according to the food...just as nice, good looking, and pleasant.

Lori the owner stopped to chat and was super friendly! The food is wonderful and the outdoor seating is sweet too. Come stop by and enjoy some delicious food with a twist!

I had a great experience at Cafe 301 today. I drove from Baltimore to dine here due to my sister sharing her dining experience with me from the previous weekend. The shrimp and grits were perfect and very flavorful. Chef Laurie does have gifted hands and it definitely reflects in her dishes. It was certainly worth the drive to dine here. Many kudos to founder/owner/Chef and President of Cafe 301, LLC. Madison, team member, was friendly and very courteous during my visit. I will pay another visit very soon.

First time I went in the lady at the counter was nice, place very clean . I ordered the soul roll.It has colard green and chicken.Well the rolls were cold in the middle and very greasy. The home made tea was good. But dont think ill visit again.

Only been here once, today! It was really good! Had a craving for fried green tomatoes 🍅😋and wow! They are amazing here! The chef you see on the website, she is the one to bring your food out, very homey feel in this cute, brightly colored cafe! (I love the yellow, so happy!) I also got the sweet potato fries and they were amazing 👏🏼 & the raspberry lemonade 🍋YUMM!I came in and the kitchen was closing early but they still whiped something up quick and it was great for my relaxing Saturday this week! Will definitely come back! 😊🍽🥤

I can’t rave enough about this place! The look is wonderful along with the friendly staff and owner. The food is phenomenal and they have the best green fried tomatoes around. The variety is perfect for a little cafe with a menu that isn’t the same as every other place around. It is very refreshing and I definitely recommend trying.Keep up the amazing work everyone!

This is a very clean and friendly environment. The cashier was kind and made suggestions about which foods are highly recommended (chicken and waffles). The smells hit me so fast I ordered both the chicken and waffle(ranch, buffalo, syrup on the side) and the shrimp with grits! Both were amazing! I came in for meet the Superintendent for columbia and she was also just amazing, kind, and understanding) Im so thrilled with the food at cafe 301 and the Superintendent for our district! Please try the food at cafe 301 and meet cbsd superintendent for your needs because she is willing to hear you out!!!

Thoroughly enjoyed my experience here. Its quite roomy, but granted, it wasnt busy when I was here. My Chai Tea latte was delicious. I got the soup and half a sandwich, and they were quite yummy too! Service was excellent as well.

Such a charming cafe! We came for breakfast and the waffle I ordered was excellent. My husband ordered the grits and said they were the absolute BEST he has ever had! This is the perfect stop for coffe and a casual, but hearty, breakfast.

The owner is a hard working pleasant kind person who makes DELICIOUS food!If you know Columbia then you know Hinkles, its right across the street from here, look, just skip Hinkles and give this place at least 1 try, you WILL be back.Ive only had the breakfast but you better believe Ill be coming in for dinner as soon as my schedule allows it!

Called at 6pm on a Saturday, they are open to 7pm, was told they were no longer taking orders for food. Drove by while supporting another local business and Cafe 301 was empty but open.

Delightful staff, great coffee, fun menu. Always a good choice. The bright space with so much natural light is one of my favorite features! I also love that they have puzzles and games for guests to enjoy. Dont forget to bring quarters for parking, but finding a parking spot is never a problem.

Awesome, quaint little cafe. Excellent unique food that is cooked very well. The coffee is Square 1 coffee and always brewed to perfection. Great Cafe, atmosphere and employees. You cant tell there is good management/ownership here.

My wife and I arrived in Columbia from outside Philly today to do some antiquing. One of the Burning Bridge Antique employees referred us first to 301 as well as a few other options like the diner and Kettle Works. We ended up at Kettle Works so I could have a beer and ended up walking out after we sat down and thank god we did.We walked past the diner recommended as we saw the clean well maintained exterior of 301 and were greeted with a friendly and helpful young lady. The menu is the perfect size and offers things ranging from some of the best fried green tomatoes and fried chicken sandwich on WAFFLES to a fresh grilled chicken salad with apples, feta and other good stuff. The teas she recommended were insanely good! I wish I could have tried there breakfast items!Bottom line is Cafe 301 is a gem. The young lady that helped us turned out to be the owner with her husband. The two of them not only have exceptional food and drinks but have created a clean modern friendly atmosphere.We live an hour and a half away and will be back soon.

Great cup of coffee, Sasquatch. Dark and rich, a real wake-me -up! The Loaded Bacon & Egg Biscuit was loaded - loaded with flavor, along with lots of egg, cheese and bacon. Atmosphere is laid back, but the service is prompt and friendly. I think Ill be making this my regular coffee shop!

Cute place in Columbia, right across from Hinkles. I loved the decor. On a sunny day you get a lot of light through the windows. I enjoy going on a sunny winter day when its too cold to sit outside. I had the waffle Breakfast and it was excellent. Would highly recommend, I think they might have the best waffles in Lancaster county. The latte I got was ok, a little on the bitter side. I didnt like that it came in a to-go cup, even though I was sitting down and eating a meal. They only have smaller mugs for coffee.

This is an adorable little shop. It was clean and the staff was friendly. I loved sitting next to the big front windows. We did breakfast but I cant wait to return and try lunch.

Update: Try the soul rolls!301 is a very nice cafe with friendly people. We had a cappuccino and chai latte with breakfast and everything was very good. I love the fried green tomato sandwich on a biscuit. I just need to remember to ask for their house sauce to kick it up a bit.

$5 + for coffee travel cup refill? really?? my cup was only 1/2 or 2/3 full!!! i know my yeti is huge, like 30oz, but im incredulous!!! they charged me over five dollars and i brought my own cup. now it might make sense to the person paying the lease, but i might not be back. (i was told it was about 20oz (maybe) and that they add the price of a large 16oz plus the price of a small, and she back down to 3.71 when i was absolutely shocked). disappointing bc i liked the food and coffee when i stopped before.Also the coffee was not hot, at all. Lukewarm.

First time trying on Saturday. Had a light lunch and coffee, sharing a loaded BLT, fried chicken sandwich, and fried green tomatos. The place was clean and tastefully designed, the service and owner were very helpful and friendly, and the food was fresh and flavorful. Plan to try the waffles next time.

I’m will to give it another shot. Went in on a weekend for lunch. We got two sandwiches and a coffee. Two of the thee pots of coffee we actually cold, I thought maybe it was iced coffee (but no), the third was just warm. That always disappoints me when places have pots of coffee that are not monitored. The fried tomato sandwich and stuffed BLT were dry and lacked flavor. Nothing on them. The building is nice and the staff was fine. I’ll give it one more try.

Took forever to get 1 coffee! And it wasnt even that good. No sense of urgency by the staff.

Super cute cafe, but bad ownership. Super unprofessional and immature boss. Poor management and overworking staff because they cant afford to pay but they leave for vacation and is gone all day. I never heard of a brand new business owner constantly being away from their business. I couldnt believe an owner gossiping and talking down about her employees to other employees.

The food is fantastic and the owner is so friendly. I wish I had the ability to go there everyday!
