Great tree that really looks realistic which my wife and I along with our kids love as well. Seems very well made and appears like it will last a long time. Was worth the extra cost for how durable it has been and the quality received. We had an issue with the lights on our tree going out and after spending some time trying to figure it out, called Balsam Hill who eventually replaced the entire tree for us since it was still under warranty. Incredible customer service and highly recommended to anyone looking for a great looking tree and who doesnt mind spending a bit more up front to get added value down the road.

Balsam Hill customer service is a joke. I ordered a tree and a scent machine and scents. The tree came rather quickly, thankfully, and so far it is fine. The scents and scent machine have not been shipped. It is almost impossible to get a person on the phone and when I finally got a manager on the phone, she disconnected me. I tried email and every response is a different person. They eventually said the scents I wanted were out of stock and offered a refund. I agree but said to also cancel the machine as I don’t need it without the scents. Now they say they won’t issue a refund because I didn’t cancel within 30 minutes of placing the order. Since they charged me immediately for the entire order, my next call is to my credit card company. So steer clear of balsam hill.

An absolutely awful experience dealing with this company on-line. They sent me a tree sparsely and unevenly lighted and when I complained about it they said I wasnt fanning it or arranging it correctly. I spent more than a thousand dollars on the tree and other decorations including a pre-lit garland that once the D batteries ran out of juice doesnt light anymore at all when I installed fresh, new D batteries. the products do not appear and look as warranted. it is a terrible customer experience for myself and my husband. we will Never buy from them again.

I am beyond disappointed with a company that doesn’t stand behind their product. I purchased a Balsam Hill tree in 2014. In 2107, an entire section of lights went out on our tree. I contacted customer service and they said that I had to tell them which section was out in order for them to replace that specific section. In the process of figuring out which section was out and taking the sections apart, I broke about 15 of my glass ornaments. All for the customer service representative to say, that the specific section that was out was actually a reoccurring problem with that specific model and section. Due to the manufacturers defect, Balsam Hill replaced the entire tree… As they should have.Monday, November 1st, We decided to wake up and have a Battle Family Christmas Decorating Day. We woke up, had breakfast, turned on the Christmas music, made hot cocoa for the littles and started the decorating process. When we put up our tree, again, 1/3 of the tree’s lights were out. I’ve contacted Balsam Hill and really expected better from such reputable company. I’ve spoken to two different supervisors and Shaun MacKinnon in management and I’m so disappointed in their lack of relsolving this issue for our family. I’m not asking for Balsam Hill to be fair, but to do what’s right in this situation and stand behind their product. I advocate for products I love, but I will never advocate, share or steer peoples towards your company. The way I was treated was very unprofessional and it was extremely dissappointing.

We looked at their trees on line and liked a couple of them. Their trees are expensive so before we spent that much money, we wanted to see them first hand. We drove over a hundred miles and looked at what they had. The lady working was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. The tree we bought was on sale of course but she found a coupon for another sixty five bucks off. Looking forward to putting it up AFTER Thanksgiving. Update...its December 3rd and we were putting it together. It doesnt work. The bottom section worked but thats it . Called customer service and they wanted to send us a new tree next week. We decided to get our money back and hopefully well find a tree made in America.

Mixed bag: (1) I provided my email for a digital receipt which the company abused by spamming me. For this reason, I gave 1 star. (2) Not enough selection of small trees. (3) I love the tree I bought & delivery was fast. It was easy to assemble and set up. People in store friendly.BH doesnt carry enough options for small trees (e.g. 4½ foot trees). Luckily I found one I loved, the classic type, which apparently BH is phasing out because it doesnt have the realistic leaves. The classic was displayed in the back corner of the store. The good news is that I did not have to carry the tree out of the store. They had it delivered to my house and it showed up the following day. Overall a happy customer, except for the email.
