What a great company. Literally the first time Ive had to file a claim to get the car fixed. They made it so simple on me. Kept me informed on what was going to happen. Sent me emails about the vehicle while they were working on it. Then made sure I was happy with it as soon as I picked it up. Got the vehicle done on time even with last minute hiccups.

Worked with Terry after a deer hit my truck last month. Had some pretty bad dents on the bed and several small dents on the doors. Bought the truck used, so I’ve never seen any part of the truck in “perfect” shape until now. Makes me want to have all of the other minor imperfections taken care of! This was my first experience with any type of car repair and this is definitely what I feel like 5 star service should be! Terry went above and beyond to keep me in the loop with everything going on with my vehicle. It started off rocky with the insurance company not wanting to help cover anything and without the help of the Terry and the Mechanic taking extra time out of their busy day to go over every inch of my car with me. Place seems very nice and although they werent able to help with my problem, they were mostly professional and helpful.The only issue I had was the manager. The manager had a decidedly hostile tone with me from the outset of our phone call. The manager sounds like a big tough guy so I was pretty intimidated. I would recommend some customer service training for the Manager.

I took my car in for an estimate and never received an estimate number, or even a phone call or email in return. I even called to follow up during office hours and left a message and still have not heard back 4 business days later. I suppose customer service isnt of great importance, but I cannot speak to the quality of work they do.

I can’t say enough good things about Schaefer. My car was broken into and vandalized in St. Louis as I was passing through on a family road trip. Schaefer was responsive, communicative, and went above and beyond to fix my car for me. I never went to the shop but everyone I spoke with by phone was kind and understanding. Thankful my insurance company chose Schaefer for this ordeal!

This was the body shop where geico sends their customer for estimates. Initially has hesitant on getting my Lexus GS450h repaired, but the process ended up being very easy, they contacted car rental company to drop off a new car. I had a significant damage to my rear quarter panel and tail lights, but when i picked it up the car, it looked brand new, paint and body worked were perfectly done. their customer service is also top notch, i dealt exclusively with Jennifer who called me few times a week for an update. would def recommend this body shop.

After striking yet another deer and wanting to find another repair facility as I was becoming dissatisfied with my previous repair facility I opted to give this shop a try. From the moment I walked through the door and meeting Jennifer and Brett I had a very easy going experience. They made me feel like I have been a long time customer. Unfortunately the deer did more damage then the car was worth so it was a total loss. I was not able to see how well their workmanship was but if its anything like their customer service I would have been even happier. WORST PLACE EVER!!! My mother takes her car in to get an insurance estimate done. They disassemble the damaged areas and submit their estimate to the insurance company. Of course the estimate is way to high so the insurance deems the vehicle totaled. The hood is bent in the corner (easy repair) they put it on as to be replaced for $675. The windshield reservoir has a red circle on it indicating damage. (its full and not leaking, not even a scratch on it) for $62. and there is more. things that can be repaired that they just threw on to be replaced. No wonder the insurance totaled the vehicle. So my mom was going to let the car go but I talk her into keeping it. So the car had been moved from Schaefers to Copart. I went to Copart and picked up the vehicle. I checked everything out and seen ALL nuts and bolts gone and one major piece gone as well. The upper tie bar (radiator support). so I called Schaefers and spoke with the manager Bret. he told me he would take a look around and call me back....5 days later no call back. so I call again...got voicemail and left a message...3 hours go by and no call back...so I call again...receptionist says she will give him the message...20 30 minutes later I get a call from Bret. He wasnt able to find the part...I asked him what he was going to do about and he said nothing and that the car isnt their responsibility once it leaves their shop (For one I am not talking about who is responsible for the car. I am talking about a part they misplaced, lost, stole, took for their own vehicle, sold for personal gain, thought it was going to be a scraped vehicle so one of their employees took it for themselves ..I dont know and I dont CARE)...anyways I tell him they lost it they need to replace it, he then tells me I cant prove anything..LMAO...I am pretty pissed now...but I try and keep my cool explaining that I have pictures showing the vehicle on their lot with out the part on it. I have pictures from copart (they take pictures when vehicles come in and leave) showing the part not on or in the vehicle. he says well it was damaged anyways and needed to be replaced. I told him I didnt care I wanted the part from the vehicle or a new one..he again stated they are not responsible for it because I cant prove anything. he offered to call his supervisor and I agreed. Hours later and I still havent heard back..I doubt I will hear anything seeing as how these guys operate. the funny thing is he tells me I cant prove anything and he wants me to believe him when he tells me the part was damaged and needed to be replaced..PROVE IT..how do I know the part was damaged..I have never seen the part YOU cant even find the part..Hopefully his supervisor has more sense than him..I will be calling again if not going there in person..... I mean who does that..takes your vehicle apart gives it back missing stuff and then basically tells you to go fly a kite...I hope this is a warning to all of you out there. Cross your fingers for me because this is far from over!!! Now where did I put my lawyers number???
