I always check the price at the register for their products as I have been overcharged a couple of times where the display says one thing and it is rung up at a higher price. The comment passed today by the man sitting alongside the cashier was well its going to cost more for you next time! Instead of apologizing for their error! I told the man that I avoid their store for this very reason.

I drove 30 minutes to come check out this store on a recommendation they may have a rare whiskey I was looking for. It wasn’t on the shelves and when I asked I couldn’t have felt like more of an inconvenience for interrupting the staff watching Hell’s Kitchen. I was treated like I didn’t know what I was talking about and simply told “no.” I have up asking after two questions because I was stonewalled. At least the staff will have more time to watch television after alienating all their potential clientele. I gave my review two stars because at least the shelves were fully stocked with a decent selection but definitely not worth the trip or treatment from the staff.

Ok tequila selection, but could carry more, authentic, well-made tequilas vs the mass produced, diffuser and additive-laced brands like most retail locations carry.

Dont know what Mr. Crenshaw was talking about. This place has some of the best sours in town, and have always been impressed with the knowledge of the staff and their selection of craft beer, whiskey and wine.

Large, clean, tidy wine / beer / liquor shop that has only been open for a few months (late winter 2017). Selection of all includes many from craft brewers & family-owned wineries from around the world. Super-kind, knowledgeable staff who love what they do. Plenty of parking for this store that is in the very north of Colorado Springs.

Nice selection of everything and comparable to another local and well-stocked spirits store on Uintah. Big difference is customer service. Unless the owner is present in this store, expect little to no help from staff. It was as if I was invisible last visit. Finally found what I was looking for but placed an order with another business. Urge the owners of this store to train employees with a focus on customer service, rather than watching movies and smoke breaks. You’re losing business.

Great liquor store! Nice selection of high quality beers, wines, and liquors. We typically buy from their selection of Belgian style quads from Europe and the US. They like to stock beers that have been barrel-aged when those beers are available. Their wine and liquor selections are huge, too. The staff is great and readily available to help you pick out the right stuff. This is our go-to spot.

Best selection of all drinks. They even have a very specific Italian beer I like.They graciously offer a military discount everyday. America.

The staff greeted us as we walked in which is always welcoming. They asked if we needed anything and because we did, they actually went and got it for us which was above and beyond. We bought all the stock they had of one brand and were nice enough to suggest some other liquor stores in the area that may have more of what we need. They also helped me find a substitute bourbon for a recipe. Knowledgeable staff with great advice!

They are super friendly here and helpful! They seem to have the full selection of beer, wine and liquor. I really appreciate their service, and love that they are so knowledgeable of California wines especially.

This store is very nice. The prices are a few dollars cheaper than the place I used to go to in monument. They have tastings for different things every Friday. Employees are always friendly and helpful.

I am continually impressed with Newton Wine and Spirits. Great selection, even hard to find stuff; awesome, super-knowledgeable staff (just ask Ethan about a wine recommendation after giving your preferences); nice ambiance (not some seedy liquor store); and most of all--the staff really wants to interact with their customers, which is rare!! I love that they have Belgian beers, great whiskies and a huge selection of wines, but I keep coming back because they recognize us as their customers, they are active in the community (we see them at local wine events), and they help us learn through various events/experiences they have. Best wine and spirits store by far that I have experienced!

Special shout-out to the owner or manager (?) who spots me in the store a couple weeks ago, approaches me to tell me that he just got one of my favorite Belgian brews in and has it in back for me. I ask him how he knows what I like, and he smiles and says, yeah, I know you. That alone made my day. I then ask him if he can get a relatively obscure import (Samuel Smith Yorkshire Stingo) that I can only find way down at Coal Train, and two weeks later its sitting on his shelf.

Great wine and spirit (and beer) store--its large, well-lit, and clean. The staff are knowledgable and helpful; they spend time talking to customers and getting to know them and their preferences. Ive been going here for more than a year and its evident theyve built up a solid customer base over the past months (this place is hopping on a Friday evening!), which I think is no surprise given the attention they give to customers and their willingness to special order things. They often have tastings on Friday and sometimes on Saturday, which always makes for fun side trip from grocery shopping at Sprouts...

Excellent selection of beer, wine, and spirits. However, I must have caught them on a bad day because the customer service was non- existent. Two women were behind the front counter and not a single greeting, acknowledgment or expression could be pried from there stone cold expressions. One of them stared is down while we were shopping and seemed to be giving us the stink eye. Upon checkout, not a word was uttered other then the obligatory “Is that all for you” and “Would you like a receipt”. We said “thank you” and all we got was a straight face and another stink eye.

This is the best adult beverage seller in town. The staff is very knowledgeable and always willing to go the extra mile to find something you might like that isnt normally in the store... Live this place!!!

I went in for the first time yesterday afternoon to look for a specific wine. There were no customers in the store and not one employee greeted me or asked if I were looking for something. I wandered around the extensive wine selection and finally picked a bottle...not what I came in for. At the register, the young woman seemed bored, dismissive and irritated. I asked if she would check for the wine and she literally rolled her eyes, popped her gum and said yeah, we dont have it. Then I really made her day by using cash to pay! What a hassle to make change. Anyhow...not a good experience. I felt like I was a bother, in the way and of no value. I wont go back.

This is my go to place in the Springs for Spanish wines. After living near Madrid for seven years, it is refreshing to find some of my old favorites so close to home. The staff is welcoming and knowledgeable - and that is refreshing as well.

Nice new LARGE store with pretty impressive selections. I went in the early days and they were still ramping up, but it really has potential. They had some nice higher end tequilas at very reasonable and competitive prices. They might not be as close to the Trail Ridge neighborhood as Voyager liquors is but the selection beats them hands down X3. For a great options in the Polaris Point and Northgate neighborhoods there is no better option.

The Asian guy here sorely lacks social skills as well as a sense of humour! The manner in which he took umbrage to my teasing about Belgian versus Belgium trappist beer was shocking! (Im a linguist and a foreign language instructor). The caucasian employee there played along and happily said it was Belgian with an N and realized I was teasing.We tried it twice, we wont be back. Surly, rude Asian guy said he remembered me from the Portuguese wine tasting theyd had where Id expressed an honest opinion about the wine. It was under par: astringent and akin to cheap table wine sold at cheap restaurants in Portugal. THAT explained his whole attitude towards me. I will never understand the need for such despicable attitudes and told him he shouldnt be working with customers if he lacks a sense of humor. He concurred he had none. Poor man! You only live once, mate. Get a life.

Hardly any sours (literally enough to count on one hand). Not a spot for connoisseurs. The employees don’t know what D’usse is nor can they recommend any good beers based off palettel experience. A sincere waste of time.

There prices are higher than others and the tall thin young man behind the counter was so rude. I asked him to help me get a 12 pack of beer from the cooler (they were jammed in tight). He got it out and took the 12 pack and slammed it down on the counter. I should have left and said, I dont pay people to be rude to me. Good luck and get your money out.

The guy who checked me out was rude. They mismarked a price, I called them on it. He told me I was wrong. I should have walked out then but hey it was only $2 more.Usually a reputable, decent and honest place will honor their posted price. I will make sure to patronize those places. But I wont go back to this store and their attitude.

Colorado Springs has more than its share of run-of-the-mill, corner liquor stores but in prepping for my sommelier certification, I discovered Newton and score it as absolute top tier for Colorado Springs. Min (the owner) is resolutely dedicated to customer satisfaction, sometimes at the expense of dollars to the bottom line—seriously, what other owner will routinely offer top flight wines at open tastings, served in Riedel crystal glasses (no kidding!), to help customers expand their horizons? Min’s polite demeanor is refreshing, and quietly underpinned by rich beverage knowledge and a clear dedication to nothing but the best possible customer experience! On to Ethan (floor Sommelier)—a young, industry up & comer with easy going, unpretentious, but DEEP insight into the beverage world. You may know exactly what you want when you walk into Newton’s on any particular day, but take a moment to talk with Ethan about what you can try the next time. If you want a personal Somm for advice, Ethan is your man. I’m writing this after returning from a Newton whiskey tasting that opened my eyes to American single malts. You gotta check this place out!
