I took my Mum out for high tea today, this was our first time going to The British Pantry. Maria and Rick are absolutely wonderful, the tea and AMAZING food brought us right back to 1993 when we lived in England. To find somewhere with FRESH scones and CLOTTED CREAM…. I was in heaven the sausage rolls were so yummy I bought 8 to take home and enjoy later!! I will definitely be bringing my friends and husband here to enjoy this experience over and over!! Thank you two for keeping the traditional food and not Americanizing it! So Lovely!!!!

Absolutely wonderful experience! A small group of us went today for high tea and we were not disappointed! The service was spectacular and not once did we ever have to pour our own tea and we were given wonderfully educational history explanations for some things. Every single one of us left full and satisfied! It was wonderful that there was also a live harp player when we were present. The tea was delicious and there was even an option for decaf as one of my friends has a heart condition and cannot have the caffeine. I have been to the store at the front separately from this visit and was pleased to see a bunch of things that I havent seen since I was last in the UK! The owners as well as those who work there are super pleasant and I cannot wait to make another trip there!

I had never been to tea before today and The British Pantry made this first experience unforgettable! The shop is gorgeous, full of many collectibles and trinkets ! Maria was very informative and extremely friendly. I felt a little embarrassed at first because I didn’t know anything about tea or how one conducts themselves at such an occasion but Rick threw that embarrassment right out the window! He was SOO friendly and taught me all about the kind of tea and food we were enjoying , how to hold a cup and saucer, some British history, and why the pinky is held out. The food is freshly prepared and smelled delicious as soon as you walk in! The food and tea were Sooo tasty! I can’t wait to come back for more. We were also serenaded by a harpist who played beautifully! This is a place that can be enjoyed be anyone of all ages ! They even have fancy hats that can be worn during tea time ! I will most definitely be back for tea soon!

Incredibly rude owner. Very uncomfortable experience. I was yelled at by the owner, infront of my mother, daughter and the other guests because only part of my group showed up to the reservation. I was then charged $24.99 for each person who did not attend AND 18% gratuity which he did not deserve because he was so rude. I was not notified before hand of this. He proceded to insult me AGAIN infront of the entire dining room after the meal when he gave me the check! Terrible experience. I do not recommend, i will not return, $320 for finger sandwiches is WAY overpriced, especially when our experience was so awful.

The owner and his wife were very sweet. The price was also great. I like that for kids they have a β€œshare” option so I don’t have to purchase a whole high tea for my daughter who eats like a bird. The food was so good as well. It’s also fun to look around and check out the food and miscellaneous items they have.My daughter also had a tea set that was broken after talking with them they said if I brought it in they would see if they can fix it. We brought it back and they did an amazing job fixing it. I love supporting small businesses and this is definitely one we will continue to support. As a Brit, I am continuously on a mission to find British Products. Unfortunately I find that providers tend to sell products that are out of date and spoiled. It’s very disappointing because I want Americans to taste the best of British but they inevitably take home something lesser. Here we have the same problem. Out of date or close to sell by items that no one should have to experience. Chocolate that has a white film or stale potato chips. Why would you disrespect the culture you’re trying to profit off is beyond my comprehension. I would always suggest reading every expiration date and if there is non shown, don’t buy.Responding to owners reply:I have in fact spoken to one of your cashiers regarding out of date products and was informed the owner doesn’t appreciate criticism (your response well noted) she mentioned a Taser...You say you β€˜constantly monitor’ yet on my last visit there were at least 5 different brands of chocolate bars that had a month till expiration along with 2 brands of crisps, and the pack of Viscount biscuits I bought, that didn’t have a date, were covered in a white film.I live far enough to not find it convenient to return products that should have never been on a shelf. We hear a lot about supporting our local businesses in this pandemic, yet little thought is given to the customer. Your customers are struggling too. When we who don’t have a lot of money, buy items that are expensive we do so as a treat. We should expect a fair trader. How fair is it that my purchases are trash? Your Tea Shop might be a lovely experience for little girls but your products purchased by hard working adults need more β€˜monitoring’.

Three stars because we had a good time together as a family.30.00 per person for food that tasted like it was made the night before our one o’clock reservation. Very scant amount of chicken salad on rectangular cut bread. Very dry and lack of any flavor. The tea was good.I chose this restaurant for a special high tea for six. I would not spend one hundred sixty nine dollars for the inadequate amount of food again. The Erie Castle was fully booked or we would have had a better bang for our bucks.I recommend not.

The tea itself was tasty and the accompanying snacks were as yummy as they were pretty to look at, which was very. The grocery its fun to look through too, although most of the imported food is kinda pricey. But if youre looking for a specific English biscuit or tea this is a good place to look.

Best scones in the whole of Colorado! The fluffiness was amazingly perfect! I am an English scones and tea nerd having spent a good part of my life living in Europe, Id seek out English scones and tea everywhere Ive lived in the USA. Weve tasted almost every English tea place out here in Colorado, Id count The British Pantry and Tea Room as one of the most authentic experiences we had. The place may not be as fanciful as some of the luxurious castle experiences around here but the tea they served is equally if not more magical, and all at a reasonable price too.

I visit the tea shop nearly every weekend and have been coming on and off for nearly 3 years now. I love the atmosphere, its so cozy and sweet, great for all ages and parties big and small. The couple who run the shop are always so kind and welcoming, going out of their way to remember their customers and make them feel comfortable. Ive taken several guests with me over the years to the shop, both men and women, ones who enjoy tea and those who hate it, and every person Ive taken has walked away having had a wonderful time and asking me to take them back in the future. Ive never experienced a more interesting, fun, and enjoyable weekly habit in my life, and plan to continue returning as long as Im able. The tea shop is open Friday through Sunday, but has a shop in the front that is open all week long. I often purchase some of the goodies they serve in the tea shop for my siblings who live far away and send them these treats, which they are always ecstatic to get. The tea shop has a lovely feeling to it, from the cozy beautifully set tables to the hats which are essential for every tea experience. I recommend this experience to anyone with an hour to spend with a friend and looking for an interesting time to remember. If you are looking for an authentic experience with delicious food and great people, please visit sometime.
