Im a regular at this shop and I cant say enough positive things about the staff, selection, and atmosphere here.Martin regularly gets new items, whether unique variants or older comics, pretty frequently to keep the inventory fresh for both new collectors and those hunting back issues. This is also a great spot to bring in comics and toys for them to potentially purchase from you. The layout and organization is among the absolute best in the area and Martin is very knowledgeable to help you find what you are looking for if you have any questions.Into regular, weekly comic releases? Get yourself a pullbox and never miss any issues that you might want - with a discount on top of that for having a pullbox! They also put on a weekly livestream for some unique comics and new inventory. Its worth checking out. I find the prices to be very fair and, in many respects, some may be under market value.Lauras coffee are is also pretty cool and both the smoothies and coffee are great.Highly recommend a visit to anyone in town looking for comics and collectibles.

I have nothing but praise for this establishment. The business itself is kept clean and well lit with a large variety of products that are easily viewable. The staff was warm and welcoming. I left a happy and satisfied customer. Definitely will be a return customer!

Coffee first: I am super impressed considering I was expecting anything more than ok coffee. My breve was good and I love that they can serve it in actual cups. The breve didn’t blow my mind but it also did NOT disappoint!The view of Pikes peak out the window as pretty great and if you like comic books the shop is attached and accessible.If your not into comics as much, I like that I He shop is connected but not immersed in comics.Great little spot if you’re looking for something different.

Been awhile since Ive been to Colorado Springs and one thing I noticed is the proliferation of comic-book stores vs. when I lived here in the 1980s (Pikes Peak Books & Comics and Colorado Comic Book Co.). Of course a plentiful selection of comic shops is great for me. I visited KaPow on March 12 toward the end of the day and, having read prior reviews, was expecting a good experience.Reader, let me tell you, it was not a good experience. It was a superb one! The owners are friendly and engaging, their stock is bounteous both in newly released titles and back issues, not to mention hardcovers, trades, paperbacks and more. For toy fans and collectors, theres lots of vintage product, mint on card and loose.For me, though, its all about the extensive stock of back issues from an assortment of publishers. I was able to plug in the gaps in my runs of Micronauts and the Avengers, picked up complete sets of some great 1980s Epic Comics mini-series and more.My first time at KaPow was a charm. It wont be my last time, either. This is a shop deserving of your patronage, early and often.

Fun place to hangout. They make a decent cup of coffee and its cheaper than Starbucks, plus they have a comic book shop attached. We went for a Halloween event they had and we were one of the first people there. Oh my god, we got so much free stuff it was unreal! These guys are active in the community, they always have events going on, which they are pretty good about advertising on the radio. Check them out, youll be glad you did.

Second time coming here, love the atmosphere of the place, honestly kind of feels too... functional with the layout and the furniture, instead of comfortable but the employees more than make up for it with their bright demeanors. I would highly recommending this place to others!

Great setup, awesome inventory, good coffee, amazing art, quality customer service. All around good shop. Not large but a good use of space. Alot of the building is designated for the coffee shop.

Store with meatly put together had a very professional conversation regarding as to the books ever on sale what goes faster than others was able to get me a copy of the first book I needed for the three Jokers and got a goodie bag!!! First time shopper and already love this store.

What a cute little place on one side is coffee bar restrooms a place to sit and outside seating and then it wraps around for comics and collectibles. Friendly service whom I believe were the owners 😉 I will be going back!

They have a nice shop its clean and organized well. Doesnt have a lot of silver age or older in stock currently but still has a decent selection. They have a good size clearance /$1 comics also if you want to just grab something to read and have some coffee. They are also friendly so I recommend them!

Of all the comic book stores Ive been to in the Springs this is my favorite. The staff are extremely personable and attentive. I havent tried the coffee yet as this was my first visit but Ill be returning and probably try the coffee then.

Place is small, overpriced, and the coffee/food is better anywhere else. So, need comics? Do like the owner, and go to Arc Thrift Store. Need coffee and snacks? Again, do like the owner, and go to King Soopers.

Nice quiet cozy place to grab a quick coffee and look at some comics and toys. I wish they had more newer stuff and some more collected editions but they seem pretty new so I wanna see what they do in a few months. I really like the concept and hope they expand and get better. The bathroom surprised me with the artwork on the tiles. Will definitely be returning.

Lora the owner is very nice and Pleasant person. All the employees there are very nice and helping they always seem to have a smile on their face. And theyre very non-judgemental of whoever walks in there. Its a very comfortable place to sit and have coffee or whatever your choice is and just relax. KaPow Comics & Coffee is, by far, my favorite comic book shop in the Springs! Very welcoming and always ready to help. If they dont know about what you are talking about, rather than just point you in a direction and hope luck is on your side, they will do everything to find out and give an informed and educated answer. I have been in other shops where your questions seem to be so burdensome that they rather just say I dont know and brush you off. Not at KaPow! I have a box for the comics I get monthly and they are always there, protected and in mint condition! If you like comics, coffee, smoothies and good people, this is the place for you! Highly recommended!

A very cool place! Have visited three times so far. Friendly, clean, and coffee and comics! A nice hangout with special events too. Good variety of drink options, and non-dairy options too. Prices are good and staff is helpful. A new favorite!

Staff is friendly and always willing to help you out if you need anything! You can go in and wander around, have conversations about series you prefer and what new ones you might like based off it, plus the coffee and food are pretty epic. All made fresh to order right in front of you. :D I love this place!

I have been here several times now and feel obligated to leave a review. First the coffee side, price for size is very fair and the coffee is real tasty. Moreover, the staff is friendly and helpful with suggestions. They also have snacks like bagels and burritos. Now onto the comic side. They have nearly all current runs as well as a good selection of back issues. Even some golden age goodies, they are fair about pricing and have some fun collectables. As on the coffee side, the customer service is great. Willing to help dig for the comics you want and have great suggestion for your individual interest. Overall, I like this place for all applicable reasons. If you havent been, go!

Very quaint little place thats got a relaxing atmosphere. You can buy little pastries and coffee while browsing comic books and buy comic book character figurines. Its also cute how they have drinks named after popular movies and characters.

Good local comic shop. Awesome selection of back issues at reasonable prices. The guys all seem to know right where everything is. My son was looking for a few specific books and they saved him a lot of time searching. I havent had the coffee yet, but Junior loves the mocha.

This is a brilliant concept. I wasnt sure what to expect when first arriving, but was delighted beyond what I could imagine. It fully excels as a comic book shop, and as a coffee shop. Come here to study or to relax and read comics, and enjoy some delight food and drink while you do.

Its a small intimate shop where you can get the latest issue of your favorite comic and a cup of coffee at the same time. The staff is super friendly and completely helpful in finding or ordering absolutely anything you want. Whenever Im looking for a new comic book they are always the place I go to First and usually the last.

An amazing local comic book store. Always has what Im looking for and more. Its always a pleasure to talk with the owner. A wealth of information and a true love for comics. Kapow is my go to in the springs for comics. Wednesday is my favortie day of the week.

Grabbed at coffee at the drive through and was extremely impressed! The service was friendly, the coffee delicious (I had a latte with almond milk), and the price incredibly reasonable. Most coffee shops are charging upwards of $5 a cup - I think my latte was only $3 here. Skip the corporate, overpriced places and support this small business!

This is a great place to have an espresso and get some work done! The tables are big enough to have your computer, books, and notes open, and fit your drink and one of their delicious pastries as well! Everything tastes great and the staff are incredibly friendly. I will definitely be back.

My daughter & husband love going to shop for comic books here. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They have a big selection of both new comics and the classic collections.

Small but growing coffee shop/comic book store. Im a big fan of the staff, fun, enjoyable, nice people. The coffee is fine but the comic selection is a bit lacking. Overall Im excited to see how this place develops over time.

(Updated)Can reccomend it!!!Previously I had written a review outlining a few gripes I had with the hold file system and a staff member who had a devil may care attitude about a comic I requested.Im happy to say that another staff member not only reached out directly to my review but also reached out to me on my personal cell offering to clear the air. This eludes great professionalism and care for the costumer. It also ads a great trait to an otherwise solid shop. Will be continuing to shop at this store and plan on going in today.

Coffee and food is good, and priced fairly. Large selection of comics. If youre looking for something thats not in stock, theyre happy to order it for you if they can!

The people here are friendly and I can usually get my food fairly quickly. They also have some gluten free items, which I love. Not many small shops would offer that.

Their coffee drinks are stellar so is their customer service. But on top of that is the overall comic book theme is sooooo delightful I have brought many people through just to check out. Free wifi, comfortable seats to read your purchased comic books while you wait for food or coffee. Their prices for food/drink/dessert/ are by far cheaper than any coffee shop around, and I really love their menu - LOTS of options.

I called a little while ago and was hung up on, and when they did answer I was treated very poorly when I asked if there were employment opportunities there. I am a very passionate individual about comic books and comic book lore, dedicating a large portion of my life to comic books and the superhero genre, and was treated with no respect. I was walking to a job that I feel no real passion for and so I had decided that I had to look for a job that I would really love doing so I called Kapow and was convinced that I had looked in the wrong place.

On there free comic book day you were supposed to give the first 30 in line free gift bags... You lied and gave them to your friends. Stay away from this place and there lies. People In line confronted you and you just stood there and lied thru your teeth. We had people there before the time you claimed to give out the stuff. So screw this place and its lies

Amazing place! Visited as I was down the street and needed to get some work done. I just have to comment on Meaghans comment on coffee knowledge. The staff knows their stuff. Traditionally a macchiato is an Italian word for to mark meaning a true barista marks an espresso shot with foam. It is a very small drink, hence the half full. With all do respect I am happy this isnt one of those giant stores that misinforms customers about what coffee is. Meaghan, perhaps you should brush up on real coffee!

This place is amazing the coffee is the best in town especially the han in Carmelnite (get it blended!!). And the comic selection is unmatched with a very knowledgeable staff!!

Went here for free comic book day, they advertised on their Facebook and radio that they would open at 8 and first 30 people in line would get a bag of goodies. We got there at 7:03, 7 people were in front of us and we got told at 8 that they had already given out the goodie bags. So long story short they lied and gave free stuff to their friends.
