All around great deals for a great cause and if you geek out on old bike stuff like I do you’re bound to find some gems.

Awesome place with more neat stuff than I could buy! Staff were super helpful and the prices were well in range. We went in to see if they had a cargo trailer for sale but I missed it by a day. Wow! Surprisingly awesome shop! Owners are so friendly and arent too busy to chat. Such a wide variety of sports equipment covered here and the net profits all go to local charities! They have everything from biking, to hiking, to snowboarding and skiing, to camping, and even snowshoeing! The prices on a lot of the merchandise are incredible! Some stuff is full price, but the deals that are mixed in are well worth the hunt. Id definitely recommend this store to anyone who is curious about the outdoor activities that Colorado has to offer!

Cute store, decent selection, and decent prices. Someone recommended this place, and so I stopped by. Some equipment is used and some is new.They dont have as big of a selection as other larger stores, but having some used items for sale helps make this stuff more affordable.I felt welcome, and the employees were friendly. A few people stopped to see if I needed help while browsing and everyone was happy and smiling. It helps to feel welcome at a place, and I will definitely come back here!

I had an awesome experience buying a bike from this store. The guys working he bike part of the store were extremely accommodating, and everyone I talked with in the store was very kind and more than willing to work with me. I love the non-profit that theyve tied into selling bikes from their store- they do a lot for the communtiy, especially the kids. Their prices are great! Bikes are only a portion of what they do, too- you can find plenty of other outdoor gear in this awesome shop.

Went here today for some ski boots, wow this place rocks! Friendly staff worked hard for 20 minutes to find boots that fit perfectly at a fantastic price! Even traded in other boots that didnt fit anymore for credit towards the right ones. Prices so good we bought some accessories. Will definitely be back, our new one and only shop for ski & snowboard equipment. Highly recommend!

If youre looking for gear or equipment, give this place a chance to blow your mind. Gently used gear for a fraction of the dollars of new is the name of the game here. Theyve got the staff to get you pointed in the right direction, to boot. Just make sure you lock your vehicle. Ive never had any problems while stopped there, but down the street I got a bunch of stuff stolen out of my car.

Great selection of used skis. Really knowledgeable salesman, didnt give us a hard press on buying. We did end up buying one of the most expensive pair they had, but they are great - and at a great price. Highly recommended.

I used to come here when it was just the two founders. You could get a good deal on used equipment. Now it is highly commercialized. Ive been coming in here since year one and these people dont know me. Followed me around the store since I was wearing my backpack (I commute to work on my motorcycle and carry my office -computer-data drives- peripherals- etc) and I had to entrust six grand worth of tech to the glaring woman when I wanted to try on a pair of Kuhl pants and a shirt. Never again. I bring a lot of my friends here but guess well just go to Gearonimo from now on. You guys lost your spirit and sold out.EDIT: I looked at the storefront and nothing is posted about a policy to leave bags up front. No one verbally announced this policy. No such policy was posted. The nervous older counter people just followed me around the store. I understand the store is in a very bad location next to the homeless shelter, but I am a regular. WAS a regular. If your staff wanted to talk to me in person they had their chance when I was there. You insulted a longtime loyal customer and there is no coming back from that.

I met the owners Mike & Julie when they opened, super people. Their big idea about recycling good outdoor gear and helping charitable causes has really taken off! Shopping their big selection of outdoor boots, shoes, clothes, bikes, backpacking gear is part of my routine, now I can do it online. Today I own several jackets, shirts and shoes from MER, they have my pack on their wall, and I have my eye on a puffy jacket there.

We go skiing every winter and this place is very affordable. We just got some new skii pants and a skii jacket as we are a growing family. Love it!

I stopped in on February 21st to purchase a star nut anchor for my bike. Three of the staff were courteous with the exception of the fourth guy that came from the back. Im not sure what his issue was but he took one look at my bike and of me and started telling me everything wrong with it, including my not having a star nut anchor. He then stated as rudely as possible it seemed like Im not working on that bike. I told him I wasnt there to have him work on it but he kept interrupting me with everything I said. I got a bit upset and decided to leave before saying something stupid. As I went to walk out he told me the only place that would do me any good was another bike shop a half mile away in such a condescending voice I really wanted to just smack the hell out of him. As I walked out the door I could hear the lady behind the counter tell him that was mean and if I heard his response correctly it was I dont care. Im far from perfect in any case but it seemed to me his attitude was really uncalled for and for whatever reason he had to be so rude I would just like to say this...if your attitude had anything at all to do with my attire or my bikes shortcomings then I will gladly give you my home address and we can discuss it like men, or rather I will while you rudely interupt. Its not a good thing to do in judging people by first appearances Mr. Bike Shop guy. I served my country 12 years with two deployments and got a bullet in my spine for it. I ride my bike to keep the slowly creeping paralysis at bay so the next time you want to be rude to someone please stop and think first because even in my physical condition that smirk you had yesterday would disappear extremely quickly. I will never step foot in your bike shop again even if you are the only retailer to carry what Im trying to find. Ive had this Google account for over 15 years and not once have I felt the need to write a review but thanks to your rudeness and discourteous treatment you earned this one. And one last thing, if my treatment was based off an assumption that I am homeless or that the bike I had with me was a stolen one then both are very wrong. I live less than a mile and a half from your shop in a house we have owned for 7 or so years and the bike I had is one Ive owned for about 3 years. The part I needed was damaged during a handlebar and neck swap. But thanks to the nice guys at Old Towne its now back to being my daily rider. Looks are very decieving as Ive spent over $400 in aftermarket parts for my bike. Ive been in your store more times than I have fingers and toes and my treatment was always respectful, until this visit....Needless to say, I will not be buying anymore parts there.

I went here yesterday with two buddies to get some last minute things before a hiking trip. Ryan and Gretchen were the friendliest and most helpful individuals I have ever met at a gear shop. These people set the standard for customer service. From the time we walked into the door until the time we left, Ryan helped us find the items we needed, giving us advice and making sure we were good to go. When we had an obscure question that Ryan could not answer, Gretchen dropped everything she was doing and came over to help.We spent about a half hour in the store. There were about ten to fifteen other shoppers, but we were treated like we were the only people present.In regards to selection, they had everything we needed (trecking poles, microspikes, and a pack).Additionally, they gave us free cups of tea. It was just an all around great experience. Something you cant get at REI.
