We love Big R. First, chicks...I mean even if you do nothing but come in and oogle the baby cheep cheeps then its a good day. HOWEVER, they have just about everything you need. Great selection of dog food, vee keeping stuff and even jeans for my daughter who is a size 0 but a 34 inseam. The staff is almost always super friendly. And giant licorice. I mean seriously, it makes car line so much better.

I went in here about a month ago. (Sorry I’ve had the rest of this review on my note pad since then but have just been busy). I was looking for an item I saw online that said it was in the store, after looking around for about 10 minutes an employee asked if they could help. Upon seeing the product they looked it up and was able to get me to the location that did have it. As well as giving me the fastest directions to said store. They even called ahead for me to ensure they had it. While most businesses will just give you the address and you could drive just for the online directory to be not updated. Above and beyond for this store thank you.

Very rude and unhelpful staff. I said high to a cashier when I walked in and was met with silence and an eye roll. Very likely had to do with the fact I was the only one in the store wearing a face mask. The guys behind the gun counter totally ignored me when I was at the counter. Much more interested in their own personal conversation. People really talked this place up. Not a good first impression of Big R for me at all.

Helpful staff and answered any questions I had. They have Dickies scrubs and that was awesome!!

I used to love coming here, staff was always friendly and seemed to have knowledge on products they sold but on today’s visit 7/25/21, I sat looking at the boot section for almost an hour while employees sat and talked with each other. When an employee finally came around she helped one person and tried to hurry back to doing nothing with another employee. The boot selection was sparse and I understand why but when you have multiple people standing there needing help you don’t just help one and hurry TF off. I’ll drive to fountain or falcon before I go back to this store. It’s a shame because I had close to $500 worth of boots alone not to mention the other stuff I needed. Sad thing is nothing will be done about this.. nothing will change.

This place was absolutely horrible! If you have a different skin color please be prepared to be accused of wanting to steal! My husband had his laptop with him in a laptop backpack and the cashier proceeded to accuse him of wanting to steal stuff. How offended I am on top of that it was Fathers day and my son was with us. Well they lost out on some $$$ because I was ready to spend!!! Dont go here!!!

Just bought my last bag of chicken Feed at Big R. It used to be $13 and is now $16. That is a 23 percent hike. Thats outrageous since other stores still have a reasonable price.

I cant speak for the ranching or farm supplies, but we shop here frequently for dog food, treats, auto parts, tools etc. and have always found the staff helpful and friendly. The clothing prices are a bit outrageous for what they are, so I avoid looking at the clothing section when possible. We also take advantage of the vaccination clinics for dogs and cats which is one of my favorite services of theirs. Its far cheaper than going to the vet for routine care.

Not impressed with their guns department. Told us maybe one day but at least two days for background check and that time frame has come and gone. Had to go to different store and the other store took less than 24 hours to do same process and call us to stop by. Don’t know where this store messed up or what the heck even happened when we were here. But I would suggest going somewhere else since they haven’t even responded to inform us on what’s going on and if they noticed that’s been a while for whatever gun purchase it was you wanted. Also a side note we did check with store and were told nothing changed since we were there last.

I lived in Falcon for 7 years and I never had a bad customer service experience. I consistently visited the Falcon location for 7 years.I called the Constitution location the night before I arrived in Colorado Springs because the Constitution branch was the closest location to my destination. I called 8 hours before I arrived to verify that the part that I needed was in stock. They kept me on hold for 22 minutes. The operator asked me three times whom I was holding for. Then, the department manager asked me what I was looking for and then put me on hold again to look for the part. Then, the operator asked me again whom I was holding for. The department manager then got back on the phone and said that he did not know what I was talking about. I never received a resolution to my question. I simply wanted to know if a yoke for my brush hog was in stock. I drove 10 hours to Colorado Springs to mow the grass at my facility in Colorado Springs.I walked in the door the next morning at 8 a.m. and the staff was having a meeting at the front door. The store manager was talking and did not look in my direction to help nor did any other team member. I stopped and stated to the group, I am sorry to interrupt, but I called last night about a part that I needed. Will someone help me?No one looked away from the rambling store manager.I walked to the back of the store to look for the part that I had called about the day before. All the employees stayed to listen to the store manager for another 15 minutes. After 25 minutes Im trying to find the part by myself I went and looked for the department manager and he said they did not have the part. He said that they did not stock them and that they have never stocked them. I asked him if he was familiar with the part at I was requesting. He said yes. He did not even attempt to take me to the aisle that the part was located at. He simply referred me to Tractor Supply in Monument. He did not even know the name of the location he called it tractor world. I had to Google it to determine the name of the business.I drove to the Falcons store and they had the part that I needed in stock and the store manager said that this store should have had the same part in stock. They all stock the same parts.

Update: The corporate/regional customer service was great. They responded right away to our review and worked with us to find a solution.My husband purchased a rifle from here a few days ago. He has a hunting trip coming up and took it to the gun range to try it out and the gun was DEFECTIVE. They were rude and unapologetic when he took it back to the store. The managers response was, Im pretty sure it was fine when it left the store, implying that we did something to break the rifle! We have had this rifle for 4 days! It came home and sat on our mantle (in a case) until today when he tried to use it at the gun range. They told him that he has to send it to the manufacturer. HORRIBLE customer service. This was a VERY expensive purchase. Selling defective guns & leaving it up to the customer to just figure it out. Shameful, do not shop here. There are plenty of other sporting goods stores.

Last week I made my first visit to Big r and felt fairly impressed by the selection of items in the availability of solar equipment. When I made the purchase I asked the cashier what the return policies are at Big r because I had never shocked at Big r before and wanted to know in case I needed a return something what their policies were. Today when I return to the store to return / exchange and item I brought the receipt only as per instructions from the cashier. I sincerely looked for the packaging but I just couldnt find it you know how that goes. I was still within the 30-day limit but when I told the cashier the situation I was met with much attitude and a manager had to be called over so that the manager could decide what to do. I thought a store policy was a store policy if all I needed was the receipt then all I should have needed was the receipt. But what I got was a bunch of attitude heavy sighs and eye rolling. I probably will never return to the store again.

We came here to check out the garden supplies. We didnt find as much as we thought we would, but what we found was extremely affordable. The store is very nice and the clothes here are very nice as well, I personally like the bargain barn of clothes! We walked away with some of the Amish food in the front of the store and the customer service wasnt bad, except for when we were greeted they didnt ask if we needed any help.

Tried to return a pair of overalls a week later with the tags and receipt because they didnt fit. They didnt let me return because they said I wore them. Will not be returning here for overalls. Walmart wouldve returned them in a heart beat! Walmart wins again!!

I have purchased numerous items from this store. I have yet to have them stand behind anything that they sell. Absolute garbage. Glad that a tractor supply is close.

I came across this BigR store about two years ago and have found it to be a great shopping experience with reasonable prices, a good assortment of quality products, friendly, helpful and curtious customer service and outstanding management. Its a pleasure to shop here.

Pretty large and spotless store!!!

I ordered a rifle & had it sent there.I received an email saying it was there, so I went to get it . I waited in line and when it was my turn they said that it wasnt there and they would call.I email the company that I bought the gun fro. And they said it was delivered the day before, so I went back and it magical was there. The ups sticker said it arrived the day before too. I will NEVER use them again.I have 4 other stories about how their services is bad, but i think ill call the management with my complaints.

Tried returning a pair of pants I bought 2 days before. Never tried on, still with tags and receipt in hand. At first the employees doubted that they came from their store and had to look up if they even carried them. Then, they said they were dirty and that they didn’t leave the store looking like that. WHITE painters pants that were never tried on, found in between blue and khaki pants.

Online store is not up to date and hardly ever is. Make sure you call and have them physically check if what you are looking for is in stock.

The best experience I have had trying to get jeans that fit properly and look the best has been with Amy in clothing. Not only is she a great person who cares about your overall experience and satisfaction as a customer she will always find a way to make it possible to meet your needs. If you need a hat shaped or cleaned or help choosing one that looks good on you Find AWESOME Amy in clothing. This chick needs a raise for the amount of hard work she puts in to make your experience as good as possible.

My wife purchased her first firearm here! Bill helped us find the right fit and style, he was very helpful & informative!! We went back a couple weeks later to purchase it (Walther PK380), we dealt with Steve who was also great and friendly. The store is great. I have chickens and they have lots of selection of standard supplies. I really appreciated that about the store, as well as location. I was let down by their clothing options. I bought 2 jackets that were way overpriced. My husband thought they were a little too country... and when I tried to return them (with receipt, a week later), they refused to take them back. So, I would say, get supplies there, but not clothes.

I have been going to this location for a while and everyone who works here is always so nice and helpful. Today especially, I went to buy flannel lined jeans and Juanita was so awesome! She helped me find a pair and then even offered to get a conversion chart to help me find mens pants that would fit me since they only had one style for women. She was so sweet and knowledgeable and willing to go above and beyond. Thats so hard to come across these days. She was the best!

The Constitution and Powers store staff is very unprofessional. The store is over-priced, nor will it price match. The staff, including the manager, acted rude and unhelpful. This seems to be the common theme with Big R. No reason to shop in a place like that.

Will never shop here again. My fiancee and I came in today to look at pants. We stopped by the boots an then looked at there pants. Didnt have what we wanted. So we left. We were confronted out front and accused of stealing the boots we wore into the store. We feel like we were profiled do to his race. Funny part is the boots he had on they dont even carry. So I would like to leave no stars but you have to pick one to write a review. We will be informing friends an family not to shop with big r any longer.

I honestly have never been treated so horrible in all of my years of shopping. I agree with the other post listed below that ALL of the girls that work there have attitude problems, and are extremely RUDE!. One employee even made the comment to me about how frustrated she is at the mess that customers leave in her department. She said, its like people think were here just to pick up after them! I hate this! She said to me as she put some boots back on the rack. Wow . What a wonderful way to greet a customer, right after answering a question for me. It couldnt be more obvious that she hates her job, and would rather be anywhere but there! Shopping should be an enjoyable experience, especially in a store that is NOT cheap. The cheapest jeans I was going to buy were $85, and I had multiple pairs picked out, along with clothes for my kids. Im guessing because I wasnt dressed a certain way, all of the ignorant employees assumed I had no money, and that I was merely a waste of time. I heard multiple employees whispering, and talking about me, giving the impression to me and other employees that I needed to be watched the entire time I was in the store. There is nothing more humiliating than having every employee watching my every move, all while whispering, and making little side remarks. Too bad my kids love to shop here, and in the past Ive spent a lot of money on toys, and clothes for our family. However, I will never shop at another Big R store again. I will also make sure to tell all of my clients what horrific customer service I was given today, in hopes that this store loses a lot more than just my business.

My boyfriend and I were shopping for some new work boots we were in there for about 25 minutes looking and everyone seemed pretty nice but we went to check out Kimberly was the cashier she did not say one word to us nor did she even look up at us we paid and said thank you when she just turned her back on us and continued talking to another associate. We felt very uncomfortable as a Latino couple. We love the store but Kimberly really ruined that for ups.

We shopped here a few times. There are lots of items that they offer, you can get here for a good price. However, there are other items that cost more here. If you have a ranch or a farm, this is a great place to get supplies. Everything from natural dog food to horse feed.

Extremely rude workers . None of them are pleasant at all. My husband and I walked in and one girl said hey ..... very unprofessional. And this store clearly only caters to white people. We are a Hispanic and African American military family . They acted like we certainly didnt belong in that store. We cant have pet chickens ? Horrible. Wouldnt give big R another dime! Only spend $50 because we needed feed. Ill take the 30 min drive to tractor supply .

Ive visited their gun section twice in the last few months. Once today and the other a while ago.Their prices are pretty high and they have a limited selection or ammo and guns. If youre looking for firearm related products, Id recommend springs armory (2 minutes away and locally owned), sportsmans warehouse (better prices and selection while still being a similar type store), or any other gun shop around really.

Ordered a pair of pants online for in store pick up, received two emails confirming my order and another one from Kim stating my order is ready for pick up. I emailed Kim back letting her know that my husband would be picking them up. She emails me back stating they dont have my order and I need to come into the store for a refund.Why was I charged for an item you dont have? I know you can look up inventory (smart stores dont charge your card until you pick it up) and why do I need to waste gas and my time for your mistake?

Start off with I normally use the Big R in fountain. But was up here so stopped in. Looking for shotguns went to counter stood there while the man behind the counter was on computer. Looked for about 5 minutes without a word being said no even a hello. Said excuse me sir. Doesnt even look up or acknowledge our presence. So I move directly in front of him and say again excuse me Sir and nothing. Now we were the only people in the firearms section. Still nothing so customer service is a 0 but cleanliness of store gives it a 2.

Ordinarily, we love this place, but today they failed. It took us 40 minutes to purchase one bag of chicken feed due to them having it on a high pallet and no one being able to work a pallet jack. What a colossal waste of my time. Many chicken feeds were not stocked on the shelves today which means someone wasnt paying attention to the stock levels. However, all were in stock in the back if you have enough time to be patient.

I won’t give them one star cause I’ve been going to big r since I was a kid.. but I went to the gun counter to look at pistols and I’m not sure if it’s because I look young or what but I didn’t even get a “ hello” from the old fart at the counter... needless to say I’ll buy a 1911 from springs armory where they actually give a damn about the customer...

No complaints from me. Nice store, clean and easy to find what you are looking for. Customer service is consistently good especially when theyve offered to help bring big items to the car. Go to store for all our chicken needs.

Store hours are posted that they close at 8pm. The day BEFORE Thanksgiving they are closed at 6pm with no signage. I get closing for the Holiday, but some of us work and need time to get there (ps: nasty snow storm the day before that prevented an earlier visit). Thanks for letting my animals go hungry!

Chainsaw broke on first use and they wouldn let me return it. They told me 3 weeks to get it fixed. Never ever buy from here

Great place for all sorts of things, clothes&boots, rope, fence materials, horse tack... tons of goodies. The best part is they do real customer service, old fashioned real smile help and its genuine.

I used to love big r but Ill never understand how theyre still in business. The place is set up really nice, but the prices are outrageous. Gun prices in this store are Platinum coated as they are anywhere from 50 to $150 more expensive than anywhere else in town. Ammunitions not cheap either. Cant understand how the very same Carhartt you can buy down the street is $30 more at Big R. But hey I guess in order to pay for all of these big pretty fancy new buildings they have to Jack the price up right?

I love Big R and shop at all of there locations. I spend thousands every year buy everything from firearms to my work clothes and boots as I work outside. Recently I purchased a stihl chainsaw at this location as I was planning to remove a tree myself the next day. Im no pro so I asked a couple simple questions. They couldnt be answered. I was not asked what I was going to be doing or anything just simply handed a brochure so I stood there in front of the product and used my phone to answer my questions. I picked one out and after a unit failed to start I received one from the back and I was sent on my way. The next day I used the saw for half a tank of gas and the pull start cord broke. I accidentally called the store in fountain they told me no problem bring it in and we will take care of it. The next day I brought it in to the Constitution store where it was purchased. I was first blamed for breaking the cord. Then they told me they dont know how to fix it. Then the assistant manager Ken laughed at me and told me he will sell me another if I wanted and then he handed me my saw and told me they will not be fixing it just have me purchase a second one. I went to the parking lot and called the store manager. She apologized for her incompetent staff and recommended I go to another location for further assistance. I will take her advice and my business to one of the other many retailers that I used to drive past to get to Big R.

Went to look at their rifles today and the old timer working the counter didnt even acknowledge me while I was standing in one spot looking right at their gun rack for about 10 minutes. A crowd starting coming up and all of a sudden he came to life. Since he was not concerned about my needs I took the opportunity to listen in on a conversation where he suggested a semi automatic handgun to a couple who told him they both had arthritis. I chuckled and the rest is history. Thank god there are other retailers where I can spend my cash at. Giving this place two stars because there were other employees there that I cant fault for one old timer.

Went in to purchase a gun, great experience. Very helpful folks who did a great job. Excellent customer service. Would gladly do more business with them.

The employees seem to chat with each other more than they take ANY interest in customer service. I am referring to the store on Constitution and Powers. The ladies jeans are way over-priced for the cheap quality, especially in the name brands. If you do find some over-priced clothing to purchase, the cashiers act like you are an inconvenience. I wont even bother from now on. I absolutely love the Big R store in La Veta!

Friendly staff, fair prices, and huge selection! They carry Taste of the Wild for both cats and dogs, and a 40 pound bag of cat litter. They also had ammo for my brothers gun, which is very hard to find!

Has extremely rarely not had what I have needed from Vet supplies to feed to boots to grass seed to welding supplies if you have a farm, ranch, or just a hobby farmer, 4H and or weekender Rhinestone Cowboy or Cowgirl you can get whatever is needed at the Colorado Springs Constitution location. Amazing staff , even when you show up with a big order to fill at 8min til close every other night they are still friendly :) thank you all at Big R

Great place to shop for western supplies, gardening, animals, snacks, trailers, clothes, guns, and so much more but is little on the expensive side. Great staff that greet you as soon as you enter with a welcoming smile and they are ready to serve you. So, need some help than just ask cause it is not a problem here at all.

Went to Big R looking for certain items. Ask for help in the people were most courteous willing to help and assist. Found everything I was looking for and more.

I agree that the female employees are extremely RUDE!!! I have NEVER been so embarrassed or treated as poorly in my entire life! I visited that location on Saturday with my family. This female employee follow myself and my children through the entire store during our visit. She made herself extremely obvious. So AFTER we purchased something at the register her and two Male employees were waiting at the front door. The two Male employees told this lady that she had no reason to stop us. The lady insisted as well as the female cashier behind the register. She insisted I emptied the contents of my purse. When I asked why, she said she was doing her job. She followed through the entire store, she should have known I did not take anything!!!! After going back and forth with her and the lady behind the counter I slammed my purse down for her to look through and she never even went through it!!!! I opened it up and she could clearly see nothing was in it!! I have several tattoos and my skin isnt white!! I felt racially profiled and was very offended! Because I wasnt white and wearing g jeans and cowboy boots, she automatically assumed I stole something!! Worst shopping experience of my life!! Do not go to Big R ur you arent white you will be disrespecred for your race!!!!

Bought a pistol yesterday for 400$ with a laser sighting which is not working. They wilm not exchange or let me return it they refuse to help in any way. I WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN!!!! They do not care about there customers or the merchandise they sell.

I have a complicated relationship with this store. LolI dislike it because it is the only place in town that carries the feed and animal products I use, and can thus charge any price which I will pay. But, I manage that by taking advantage of sales and coupons and buying in bulk.However, I love this store because I absolutely love the staff who are always so kind, accomodating, and knowledgable. They always welcome me with a smile and are willing to answer any questions I have.

I come here and spend quite a bit of money at least three times a week never talk to anybody never say anything to anyone.. today was the first day that I had a question about something that was on sale and I just found out how bad their customer service is.. the blonde woman with the glasses working the counter is one you have to stay away from if you want any information do not ask... she hates her job and one that hates their job is one that is very rude

It is always fun to go there with my grandma. My grandma always goes there when she needs food for her little animal friends at the prospect lake.

I like the Falcon Colorado store better because everything is easy to find and it appears less cluttered. The staff at this store is very helpful and kind .

I purchased a gas powered t post pounder there 6 days ago the machine was junk it had a hard time driving the picket into soft dirt. So i tried to return it and they told me to kick rocks. Claiming that no power equipment can be returned or exchanged. I would have been ok just getting store credit but now i will no longer shop at any Big R locations.

Buy most of chickens, chicken feed, tools, and dog food here. Also a good place for bee keeping supplies.

First of all i totally understand if a business does not have a military discount. Its their prerogative, so all good. I dont understand nor agree of any business that only has a military once a week or month considering the military doesnt just protect this great nation of ours once a week or once a month, but again. Its their prerogative, so ok. What i dont need is the cashier making a smartass remark for me asking about a military discount and it wasnt monday. Which is the only day that they give a military discount. So i implore all my Armed Forces brethren to not shop at a store Big R and show them that we deserve and are more than just good for one day a week!!!!
