In December of 2016, I took an external disc drive to Blue Candle Computers to have them recover the data contained therein. After a preliminary evaluation, the tech said he was able to extract the files, but, it would take awhile....maybe a month or so. When I called back, he said he was still extracting files, but, had to do so at a slow speed because the drive was acting erratically. A month later, I called to talk to the tech, but, he was no longer with Blue Candle. The tech I DID talk to said he would look inti the status of the data download and get back to me. He never did. I called every few weeks and got one excuse or another, but, never received a clear answer about the status of my drive. I asked to speak to Randy, the owner, and the tech said he wasnt there, but, he would pass my message to Randy. I gave it more time and called back, only to be told that the tech forgot to tell Randy to call me. I asked where my drive was and the tech told me he couldnt find it. Finally, on July 26, 2017 (8 months after I took it in), I went to the shop and said I just want my drive back and Ill take it somewhere else. They searched for a minute and brought out the drive, completely removed from its original case, and without the power cord or USB cable I had brought in with the drive. They had located the drive in the recycle bin, meaning it was waiting to be destroyed......without my knowledge or permission. Blue Candle Computers > NEVER AGAIN!

My experience with Blue Computer has been very positive. They are friendly, knowledgeable and pretty thorough in repairing the computers that I needed fixing. They also are reasonably priced, so far. So I give them a thumbs up.I would definitely choose them over Greek Squad. Geek Squad default charge is $200 just to look at your computer, whereas Blue Candle is free. Of course you should have a real problem to start with, and not abuse this great service.

They really care about the people. They give you that home feel not just another number, here is your computer. Have a nice day. They actually go over what was done and hook your computer up to show you its working and fixed. I will only use them for now on and I think everyone else should to, if you want it done right and by a company you can trust. Thank you blue candle computers.

I highly recommend Blue Candle over any one else. Here is my experience. My desktop would not boot up. So, I took it to Best Buy to the Geek Squad. They should call them the Weak Squad. They charged me $100 to tell me that my computer was not fixable and that they would not be able to recover anything off of my hard drive. Well for another $100 they would TRY to recover some files from my hard drive but they couldnt promise anything. I told them to forget it and asked for my computer back. I then call Blue Candle, WHICH I SHOULD HAVE DONE IN THE FIRST PLACE, and they asked me to bring it over to take a look. They called me the next day to tell me that my computer was fixed and ready to be picked up. Oh, and they charged me $100 to complete fix my computer. The same computer that I am writing this review on. All my files and programs were in place and my computer working perfectly. It cost me $100 to learn that if I need a computer repaired 1) Never take it to the Geek Squad and more importantly, 2) Go directly to Blue Candle. They guys are great. The service is great and their expert ice is outstanding.
