This is really a nice store. I like their clothes, but was disappointed that they didnt have any fall dresses for my granddaughter. Only a couple, and those seemed kind of grumpy. Unlike me and her mom, she loves pretty dresses. It is sad to see how many locales are empty at the mall, though. It does seem to have more people than I have seen in months past, but the place still feels sad and empty.

Employees need to be educated how to deal with customers. The worst store in College Station. Advice to go shopping somewhere else.

The JcPenney in College Station Texas is one of the most friendliest and helpful of any Ive ever been to.I hit every JcPenney from Texas to Tennessee and I absolutely love the people here.They go out of their way to help you.Good service, friendly employees and a great atmosphere is hard to find anymore.I appreciate the employees at this store.

Wide variety of clothing! As someone who is tall, finding dress that fit perfectly can be challenging. But here, I found a pair of dress pants AND a pair of jeans, which were both on clearance! Seriously, what a bargain!

Went in to get my daughter her 1st press...Her hair was beautiful,long, smooth and bouncy. .As soon as my daughter left out the door the Texas humidity ate it up..So theres no more bounce..smh.... So Im thinking they just need better products for African Americans who live in TEXAS🤔.... But the customer service was almost....

A little hard to find my size. They have moved everything around. Its all mixed together now. Other than that, it was ok.

They falsely advertise their products. Pay attention to what you are paying for. This jacket was supposed to have an EXTRA -30℅ (as you can clearly see in the photos). But they refused to give us the discount.

Went in right before closing time to buy 2 pairs of shoes that were on sale buy 1 get 1 50% off.... Shoes were marked wrong so ended up paying full price 🙄 & the manager wouldnt let me back out into the mall area so I had to walk completely around the exterior of the mall to get back to my car

Sadly pennys doesnt understand the value of keeping their long time customers. Ive been with them for 14 yrs now. Use to be able to go in and find exactly what I needed. Now everything is set up to cater to young people. So as being a senior I have no desire to shop there any more. I still enjoy going to shop and see what Im about to purchase. Guess its not important to corporate people to keep their customers like me. And they wonder why they are going under. Sad

JCPenney store in College Station is great!

Mostly what youd expect, pretty nice. Except the mens fitting rooms: no mirrors (seriously?), clearly not vacuumed in months, and even BOOGERS on the walls. Hard to get more than two stars after that.

Glad they are open again. Hope they can make it. Always liked the towels at Pennys. Wife likes clothes shopping there too.

Yesterday I was with a group of friends and when we were checking out the cashier singled me out asking if I was with them. They answered for me and she was like “oh you’re okay then”. Seriously? Extremely rude.

Boo on JC Penny! They have Christmas/Holiday tops & dresses all over the store EXCEPT PLUS SIZE. they have 1 rack with 3/4 sleeve screen printed t-shirts (that are honestly too short even). Guess Im too fat to dress festive. Now in the mens dept they had holiday t-shirts, sweaters and dress shirts up to 4X! Really!?! Wow. SMH ~

Online order pick up is simple and easy. They have all my orders in one swoop. One downside is only one customer service team member, who gets swamp with customers in person and on the telephone. Will return.

They have pretty good sales on a regular basis. If they arent having one and you can wait Id recommend it. The pickup area isnt clearly marked from the outside and you need to go find a checkout location to process your pickup. It would be nice to have a dedicated spot for those pickups. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

Ms. Sandra from the jewelry department helped me out yesterday. She was a very friendly person, just wanting to help. She informed me about their suit up event on Sunday with up to 60% off, however I needed an outfit before this. Ms. Sandra called her boss and was able to help me out. Ms. Sandra made my day. Thank you! Definitely will be back.

Walked around for about 20 minutes looking for a shirt. One customer service rep said hi at least. Didnt see anyone else.

I usually dont shop at JCPenney, but I will start going back after my experience yesterday.The employee at the jewelry counter was very helpful and courteous. She helped me pick out the right piece that fit what I was looking for. She then offered to clean my engagement ring while I shopped around. Not only did I find some great deals around the store, I found my wedding band and got my engagement ring cleaned. All in all I was very impressed.

Always happy with the purchases I make at any JCP. Unfortunately, this JCP is a much smaller store and some sizes are unavailable. I know I can purchase items online but I prefer to try on clothes. I recommend to go into this store and order it online through them. The shipping is usually free. I also recommend finding a bigger store if you want to walk out with the size you want at the time of purchase.

I only made my way through JC Penney to get to the cozy little salon they have inside the store, but in passing the store was well kept and had nearly have the store on clearance.

Great store for some cheap designer clothes. Sizes can be limited. I had some trouble finding my 30 size waist for some clothes, at least the discounted ones, which is to be expected.

We arrived at the store as it was closing on Mothers Day. We had a 10 dollar off coupon and were extremely excited to use it, as I hadnt gotten new towels in years. However, despite the fact that they had no reason to serve us, and every reason to send us away, the manager Elizabeth was gracious enough to check us out quickly. She was kind to us even though we were being those people who came into the store after it was open. Elizabeth is clearly a smart manager, not only because she got the store 20 more dollars in profit, but because she knows how to make a mother happy on Mothers Day. She knows that customer service isnt just about putting on a smile -- its about letting the customer know that you care about their needs! Highly recommend this store!

Visited Penneys last week. The store has a huge amount of clearance merchandise and sale items. The store is a bit cluttered and dark but if you are willing to take the time, you will find some great deals. The clerks were very helpful and helped me search for correct sizes. They also offered to place an online order when I couldnt find the sizes I needed. They indicated that they are trying to reorganize the store. I found some very nice Vanhusen dress shirts for less than $15, regularly $50.

This store is horrible. Do not use the online order to pick up by the time they will decide to fulfill the order it will not be within the 4 hour time frame that online stated it will be after you have given them time to do there job and call in. Twice cause the first time they hang up on you and lie and tell you to wait for 7 days for an order to ship to them when it is already in store and also they will cancel your order cause by the time they look the items you purchased are sold out. So instead of it being convenient or ready for pick up they have one person that should be doing this job daily but no one is. The manger that they claim I spoke to on the phone is very unprofessional so I called and left word with their general manager. They will handle this store cause the service is garbage.

The mall had extended hours for the holidays but the staff locked several customers in the store and would not open the doors. The only way we could get back into the mall was to completely exit. What is the point of having an indoor mall if you have to go outside to shop!? Was not customer friendly.

Penneys is changing with the times and they are keeping up very well. Visited the store to buy needing, saved a lot of money. They helped me locate a quilt and shop it to their store just to same be a shipping fee. Very attentive workers, all very concerned about my satisfaction.

We had several offers for help as we browsed during a massive sale plus extra total purchase coupon special. Cashier was very friendly as we checked out, which was an adventure as we were there with my brothers and their kids for grandma and grandpa (my parents) to do back to school shopping for 11 grandkids.

Like shopping the store sales associates very friendly and helpful. Will always tell you whats on sale. ... HOWEVER.... That styling salon is a horror... made an appointment earlier in week... waited 3 hrs only to try and be told I didnt have an appointment.. I gave that joke of a salon manager the name of the person that booked my appt and her comment was well anybody that see me CAUSE IM THE MANAGER KNOW THEY GONNA WAIT TO SEE ME... I should have left at that point..she half heartily shampooed my hair turned me over to her gurl sidekick. Between the 2 of them my hair was red/pink not the brown semi rinse I requested... Those 2 need coaching on professionalism.. and less chit chat instead focusing on their job,,, The customer.. after all I think thats why JCP hired them. WILL NEVER RETURN UNLESS CHANGES ARE MADE.....

Ive gone there several times. And the last few times I have had bad experiences. For this review, I will be discussing the salon section. Well in the summer I had made an appointment with someone. My appointment was a 1:00PM. I show up at 12:30 and explain that I had an appointment with someone and I understand that Im early so I can just wait. Well, they tell me that that person quit at 4PM the previous day. (I made my appointment at 12 or so). I asked them why they had not called me and they said that they did not know I was on the persons schedule. Thats their job! Well I wait around for 15 minutes and then ask if Ill get ANY appointment. They told me probably not. Well I was seriously going to leave right there. They changed their tune when the saw me walking out the door. I explained that I just wanted a dry cut.So I get in the chair and the first question out of the ladys mouth was Do you go to church? Thats none of her business. I didnt know what to do so I told her no. Then she says Oh what is it? You just dont believe? Who says that. I wish that more companies would explain to their employees that those types of questions are inappropriate. I would never go back there again. .

JCPENNEY used to be a fine department store many years ago. Among the Kohl’s, Target’s, and Academy’s, JCPENNEY seems to have lost their way and their purpose. I hate going in there. They jam their floors with shelves, tables and racks like a bargain basement. Everything is constantly on sale and clearance. Their desperation to compete with the rest is very apparent. JCPENNEY needs to go on and close their doors like Sears. There is no longer a need for stores like JCPENNEY or the malls they are helping to bring down. There’s nothing at JCPENNEY you cannot get better somewhere else.
