I went there for a stereo installation and they did a great job on that considering the $1,300 I spent. However, they claimed that they didnt break the piece around my clock. The technician noted a crack, and I admitted there was a crack prior to installation, and noted that the technician would not have called this a crack prior to installation. That is an obviously broken piece and they claimed it was sun damage. Highly unsatisfied with theyre quality control and customer satisfaction efforts.(Aug. 1 2020)I originally posted a 1 star review. However, the owner (Chris) called me directly and told me hed find the part and ship it to me now that Im living back in San Antonio. He offered to replace the part and install it for free if I was in still in town. The fact that he was willing to do whatever it takes to make this right is exactly what makes a place worthy of 5 star service. THANKS CHRIS!

Called MTI to build a box with subwoofers after a previous, reputable car audio installation company completely botched the back seat of my brand new truck (2 weeks old). Installation was quick, the subwoofers and box completely exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend them, no matter how far the drive may be .

I happened to be at Audio Video discussing a home setup and thought that I would pop inside of Mobile Toys as I just got a new Cadillac CTS and am looking to add more oomph to the stock system.I walked in, there is a display truck (without barriers) sitting in the middle of the showroom and I lightly touched it looking inside (there is a Do Not Touch sign in the bed of the truck that isnt noticeable).A salesperson walked in from the back rudely stating dont touch that!.No introduction, no hello, no pleasant tone. He asked if he could help me with this scowl.I was in this store a total of about 10 seconds yet with that first impression, I simply turned and walked out.I may do business with Audio Video but the place next door certainly lost my business. You dont treat a prospective customer like that. I would rather have a reputable place in Houston have my business.

I’m from Houston and spent the weekend in College Station not to long ago. Through some other folk that were up here from Houston, Mobile Toys was mentioned and they had nothing but good things to say about the GM Adam and his crew. I’ve spent almost a full day in total up here (most of that time is because of my own questions and request for education...which everyone always had more than enough time to facilitate and cater to). The knowledge and Customer service these guys have is top notch...I spent some time “shopping around” and they ended up best by far every time. They’re finishing with my window tint and installing some video cameras. I’m writing this review while still in their entertaining and relaxing show room and signing off with 5 stars before they’re even done because I’m already confident of their ability to get things done right. I look forward to many more projects that they will help me out with. Everything looks and has been great so far. I came to these guys last year, and I am just now getting around to writing a review. They are THE BEST shop in College Station hands down. I have a lifted jeep with some very complicated headlights that had stopped working. They cleaned all of the wiring up, got the bulbs replaced and the lights working like they were brand new. They even went the extra mile and installed a kill switch. As a young woman, going to shops to try and get my car fixed is difficult because I always feel like I may get taken advantage of. This was not the case with the Mobile Toys guys! They gave me an extremely fair price, and were extremely helpful and polite. Take your vehicle here you wont regret it!!!!

I am giving an updated review on Mobile Toys because of Chris Pate. He realized the difficulties I was having and reached out to discuss solutions. Chris has resolved the issues and has exceeded my expectations. With Chris at the helm, I can absolutely recommend Mobile Toys for your car audio and video needs.Previous review belowTerrible business! Stay clear if you value your time and money. I bought a $350 seat lift for my F-150s back seats during the summer and installed it myself since I live in Oklahoma and there store is located about 6 hours away once I got the box it wasnt complete they forgot to send me the bolts and spent a week trying to get someone to answer the phone since they immediately put you on hold for what I have noticed is usually around 30 to 40 mins then they answer, when I got the bolts from them I noticed they are cheap and would not stay tight with time, so I did not use them. After all this the seat lift doesnt work right your seat belt gets stuck so you cant pull it out, you can’t get the back seats to latch without serious manipulation. Everyone at that store knows me because I called almost every single day from the end of summer all the way up to thanksgiving, I had to see family in Texas on Thanksgiving so I planned a day to drive over and have them fix it. when I got there they spent an hour taking my seats out which was not necessary and reinstalled them only to get the same result and told me that is how its made to work. I immediately told them if they cant fix it they are going to give me my money back so they spent the next 3 hours fixing it only to find out they didnt do anything just put a bracket to raise the seat belt up, but here was the catch when they raised it, the metal metal bracket caught on my leather seats and would have ripped a hole in my seat if i had not notice and stopped them. Then they tell me I need a part called Amp Pro for my stereo that is 300 dollars and Ethan said I could return it if dont need it so I bought it thanking I could return it if they were wrong. After all this I drove home from Texas with my mother in the back seat only to find out that the bolts that hold my seats down in the event of a crash werent tight, I was able to unscrewed all of them with my fingers! at that point I said Im done! Im taking this out and returning this because that is not acceptable! When I called them they told me they had to talk to the manager to get the return accepted and that he would call me back which he never did so I called back and asked for Adam (the store manager) who told me he would have too talk to the owner and he told me he would get back with me once this was done, he took my name and number and never called me back, so I called about 3 days later and he acted like I never asked him about it and said he would call him. So, at this point I started calling every day and continued to do so for a month and a half! It got to point where they wouldnt even answer my phone call they would just put me on hold and hang up so i had to call from my friends phones so they would talk to me (funny because I never got put on hold when I called from my friends phone) and finally got an email for the owner so I could email him, after waiting another week for him to reply they tell me sorry we have to decline your return request due to it being past a month from the purchase (even though I have been calling since the end of summer about there poorly made product they sell). I have text messages and screenshots of all the phone calls that I have made to this business. I would not recommend anyone to spend any money at this place because they only care about their money and do not care about you as a customer. Stay Clear!!!

Took my truck to Mobile Toys to have my windows tinted today and the guys did an awesome job. I also want to mention how knowledgeable these the guys are about the products they sale as well as there customer service. I plan to have the windows tinted on my wifes truck and have the head rest DVD players installed later this year. The quality of work and the pricing cant be beat any where else. I brought my vehicle into Mobile Toys a few months ago to get a system installed. They installed the system and it sounds great BUT Ive now been dealing with nothing but non stop electrical issues. 3 months after installation the system stops working. I take it back and they tell me I need this part so I go and purchase it and bring it BACK a week later and Im told that wasnt the issue? and I now need a whole new head unit... So they replace the head unit and system works again. ONE MONTH LATER my batteries are dead. Completely fried. So I replace the batteries (2 batteries in a diesel truck) and Im still having the same issue. Now Im having a check engine light come out and it turns out my PCM (Powertrain Control module) relay is fried.I take my truck to a local trusted shop which came to find out nothing is Wired correctly with the new head unit... they slapped it together just to get me out of the shop in a hurry.Great products but terrible work.

Had a whole new system installed in my 1996 Jaguar, the work was done flawlessly, and completed ahead of schedule. These Gentlemen took all the time needed to explain to me how everything works and were extremely professional and accommodating, I highly recommend them.

Horrible experience. Got upsold and received a ridiculous quote.Stopped in to see about upgrading a head unit in a Jeep. Told the sales person I had already upgraded speakers. He included all types of extra component charges that werent needed, e.g. additional charge for steering controls, plus speakers etc. After a little research I discovered there are tons of plug and play options for Jeep and dont need all the upcharges he was trying to sell me. Hard pass.

First and foremost- shoutout Ethan for being extremely helpful with everything. He was extremely informative and had answers to every question I had.I got my aftermarket speakers transferred from my old car to my new car. I had a few issues with the way they sounded after the install and I came in and told them my issues. They were able to take care of my issues immediately and I was out of there within an hour and a half. Mistakes happen to even the best of the best, but when those mistakes happen, they were more than willing to get my problems fixed in a timely and professional manner. My speakers now sound great, and I look forward to getting some upgrades from them in the near future.

Installed viper remote start that I bought online. They worked all day to find out I had a bad unit. Didnt charge me till I got the replacement. Very happy with the the service I got. I will use them again thanks for a job well done.

Chris worked on my Boat for me and installed new tower speakers and amps and a new head unit. The system sounded great on land when the engine wasnt on. (You cannot test my boat engine without it being in the water) But I took it to Lake Conroe where I keep it, and as soon as the engine was on it started getting bad feedback. Called Chris to see what I could do since the boat was there and he was in CS. He said nothing, I will be there after work. Hats off to Chris for going above and beyond on customer service and satisfaction. System sounds awesome and we love it!!

I needed new speakers since at least two of the factory speakers in my truck were blown. I purchased a new set from a competitor, but couldnt get an appointment set up on my days off work, as they were apparently busy. I called Mobile Toys and they got an appointment set up the same day. They took my truck into the shop immediately and were finished in 2 and a half hours. Initially, I had a problem with the woofer in the driver side door being defective and wrongly blamed Mobile Toys. The owner, Chris took time to call me personally and warrantied the work, even though the speakers were not purchased from them. I may have paid a little more than I expected, but it definitely seems worth it. I can see why theyve earned such a great reputation.

This is the first time I have paid someone else to install my stereo equipment in 20yrs,while I have had high end systems before,this is probably if not the best equipment I have had..They did a great job installing it, when I came back to have it tune ,and even though i could not tell I had a speaker failure,(unrelated to the shops work )they replaced it the same day ,they could of just left it alone,and I wouldnt of known(but 2000watts of focal sounds good know matter what,lol..). I am thankful to chris for being honest, he even gave me a free upgrade,just to make sure the speaker could handle the level I normally pay my music at...Thank you,and I look forward to my next visit..remember you pay for what you get..

I have used Mobile Toys twice and they did a superb job on both of my vehicles. I do expect perfection considering Mobile Toys prices are quite exorbitant. I recently purchased an amp and needed to have it installed, but I decided to look elsewhere. To make a long story short, I wasnt pleased about the owners wife getting political on her Facebook page. I have no time for that especially when Im spending my money. Always do your research and make sure you know the people you support. Im sure most Aggies will support them, but Im not.

Brought them a hodgepodge of speakers I had installed. All different brands, JL tweets, Audio Frog front door speakers, JBL rear door speakers, Inifinity center channel. All the speakers sounded good individually, but not great mixed together. They consulted with me, and gave me great advice. In the end they installed Illusion Audio in the front, and Focal components in the rear. The center channel was deleted, because more speakers isnt always better I found. The end result is an amazing sounding truck! They made sure I was happy after every install, gave me fair prices, and did the work quickly and professionally. Ill be back to get more work done.

Great tint job and fair price

I have a 2005 Toyota Celica which used to have an automatic antenna that only goes up and down when the engine is switched on and off (in other words, if the engine is on and the radio is off, it still stays up). It snapped two days ago (dont ask why) and when I went to the local dealer and Aggieland Auto they were quoting me at something around $560. This is for an automatic antenna. Aggieland Auto actually referred me to Mobile Toys to get an antenna from them but never did I (or I assume, they as well) that these guys can take care of my issues for me. Long story short, I asked Adam (such a helpful and awesome guy) a lot of questions and he was able to answer all of them. I ended up buying a shorty antenna in Napa. Mobile Toys took it from there and removed the automatic antenna mechanism as well as replaced the old antenna with the new one I just got. My Celica looks a lot better now with the shorter antenna! I ended up just spending $160 (taxes included) to have them take care of what they do best. So I practically saved $400! Thats a 10 for a student like me! Also, I should mention that I called them for an appointment a mere 4 hours before my schedule and they were able to set me up one. Very efficient, and again I appreciate it, given that for students like me, time is money. 12 out of 10 I would recommend Mobile Toys for those with broken antennae and those who just want to spice up their auto stereo.

I heard these guys were the best, so gave them a call and scheduled an appointment for a fairly simple install: 1 amp, some front door speakers, and a sub. I drove the 100mi to show up at 8am, and got a little carried away in their show room and ended up deciding on a 3 amp install with 8 channels actively controlled on a DSP. Without hesitation Chris and his crew put in a 15-hr day to complete the install so that I could make it back home that day. Not a single detail was skipped, not a corner was cut. Custom parts were manufactured on CNC machines as I watched, while in parallel other guys were hand fabricating parts in their impressive wood shop. The only hole drilled in my nearly brand new truck was for an out-of-site sub preout control knob, everything else mounted to factory locations using custom fabricated panels. Even for a trained eye, its hard to tell this truck isnt stock until you hear it, which was a primary goal of mine: breathtaking sound in a stock looking package.Once the physical install was complete, Chris set out in his meticulous and OCD (in the best possible way) ways to get it dialed in. He started with baseline measurements from drivers head to each of the 8 speakers, then did some seat of the pants tuning of his own which can only be described as watching a master at work. He then had me come play some typical tracks that Id listen to, then kicked me out of the truck to finish tweaking the tune based on my preferences.End result? One of the most amazing sounding stereos Ive ever heard (and definitely best Ive ever owned) while maintaining the stock appearance of the truck. I can sit here and try to get all wax lyrical about how it sounds, but thats better experienced in person. To use one word I would have to go with PHENOMINAL but so many other synonyms come to mind as easy choices. I took a gamble making a 100mi drive to visit a shop Id never been to, but it paid out big. I wouldnt trust anyone else to put their hands on my vehicles when it comes to audio. World class parts, install, fabrication skills, and tuning, these guys are awesome!
