My wife and I went to this location to upgrade our phones to S21 Ultra, we also needed a new line for our son, I specifically said we want a new extra line if the phone is free. The employee name Martha offered the Samsung S20 that will be for free if we get another line, apparently after a month when I checked our verizon account online, the phone that Martha said is for free (Samsung S20) cost $641.52 that we still owe on our bills. We have been a valued customer of Verizon for 15 years and now considering of switching to a different phones and cable/wifi providers because of this experience.

Unfortunately the young woman employee we encountered just before 11am made us feel so unhelped that we left and went to a non-Verizon store instead. My wife lost her phone and wanted help understanding her options and how Verizon could help her recover as much data as possible. The employee kept stating that she couldn’t do anything to help because she didn’t have the email address and pin. My wife said she would provide those but the employee didn’t seem interested in helping. Frustrating that this Verizon employee wasn’t more helpful during a stressful event.

My family have been Verizon customers almost my entire life. When I moved to D.C. I began using Verizon Fios for my home internet. Setting that up was an entire debacle - it took over 7.5 hours on the phone with support to get it set up even though its advertised as a 5 minute process.Recently I wanted to move my phone line from my parents account to mine so I could begin paying the bill. My current phone is close to five years old and has passed its contract phase. I figured it wouldnt be hard to transfer my number from my parents account to mine. Little did I know.The Verizon website is glitchy and puts me into a log-in loop. Every time I sign in it takes me immediately back to the sign-in page. It is impossible to sign in to complete the transfer of the line online. I went into the store today to try to get help on getting it transferred. The General Manager was the first woman I spoke to. She informed me that there was nothing they could do to help in person because all transfers had to be done over the phone and that I could call a support number and it would get fixed in about five minutes. I called that number only to get put on hold for over an hour before the call was mysteriously terminated. I went back inside and let the General Manager know about that interaction only for her to tell me once again transfers could only be done over the phone.At that point I had brought my tablet in from my car and showed her how you could do it online which was news to her. Apparently the General Manager of a Verizon store doesnt understand what should be basic services of the company. I asked if we could log into my account on their system in the store and if they could assist me in completing the online transfer process. She once again told me to the call the number and when I informed her once again that I had sat on hold for over an hour only for the call to go dead she told me that the service center for transfers wasnt staffed on a Sunday. This is after she told me to call them three times and I sat on hold for over an hour.At this point I asked if I could just upgrade my phone on my parents account - my current one that is five years old is on its last legs which is why I was going to transfer it to my account (transfer and upgrade all in one visit to the store). She informed me that if I was going to upgrade my phone it would tie me into a two year contract - even if I bought the phone outright - and that once it was tied into a contact it couldnt be transferred to my account. That makes absolutely no sense. It shouldnt matter whos account the contract is on. If there are 17 months left on it and someone pays it then it should all be the same. After doing some research on my tablet in the lobby I found what she was telling me to be incorrect. I tried to inform her of that and show her that what she was telling me was wrong per the official Verizon website but she refused to listen.After close to two hours at the store I left with no solution. The website is still in a sign-in loop, the support center isnt staffed when Im available to call, and the staff inside the store are both not knowledgeable about their own companys policies they are rude to boot. I spent the entire time being told incorrect information and being talked over when I tried to ask questions or raise points. At no point did any employee in the store attempt to start at the basics and even pull up mine or my parents accounts. They tried to pass the buck completely and plead they had no way of doing anything even though thats not true.

Made an appointment and drove 45 minutes to this store for help switching out a new SIM card. Waited in line outside, which was fine. Then screener at the door told us not one but TWO lies: 1) you can’t add a new line to your account with an existing phone but we would be happy to sell you a new phone (which we just did about 6 months ago so is a lie); and 2)...you can’t replace a battery on an iPhone (which is easily refuted on the Apple website). Yet another reason we have not renewed our contract with Verizon: the worst corporation on the planet.

I am providing a 5 star for Julius Smith and Roba Ahmed at the Verizon College Park store. I had a hell-ish time trying to get a phone replaced with Asurion, where Asurion was sending me to Verizon, Verizon to Asurion, and Verizon to Google. I spent days and countless hours on the phone or in chats with Asurion and Verizon trying to file my claim for an issue that was a Verizon code issue.The ONLY reason anything was fixed was for both Julius and Roba going above and beyond to get to the bottom of what was holding up my claim and taking a ton of their time to ensure that I was leaving there with an answer from Verizon, even if that meant both of them going through the numerous tiers it took to get the problem solved. They didnt pass me off to others, like every person before them had. The only reason I will remain a Verizon customer is because of their efforts and customer service. Thank you both, Julius and Roba.

Didnt have an appointment. Walk in, and was helped immediately. Consolidating cell phone plans between another provider and Verizon. Clerk was helpful in the process, helping us select new phones and knowing exactly which extras and components wed want and need. He was a wiz at putting on the screen protector quickly without bubbles. Good experience and expertly guided.

Went here 3 times once around 6pm Thursday and twice on Friday they were all polite and helpful. David (I believe that was his name) helped me connect my sisters phone, and my moms phone. My mom phone was not fully unlock and he managed to help me fix that problem. He continued to try different methods until all was perfect to go. My phone stops working and disconnects within minutes. I went to the store and was told that my 1 year warranty was over by 2 months and although my phone needed to be replaced, my choice was to pay off my phone and buy a new phone. I should also buy phone insurance next time. I am still trying to understand why I should pay on two phones at the same time when one of them does not work. My wife and I are long time customers and I am trying to figure out why we should continue this service

We just switched to Tmobile and this visit just proved to us that we made the right choice. The black woman with braided hair who helped us is the most uncaring, apathetic, cold, and intimidating. She just looks at you and act like she’s a supermodel. I hope she get to read this message and get this tip: don’t work for any customer service job! Your best bet is in the kitchen! That girl did not even bother saying welcome after a very sincere thank you. Bye verizon!

Overall experience was rushed and not informative. The employee deceived me with false advertisement pretty much. Warning: Be aware of the weigh ins for trade in values. They will tell you, you will receive around $300 for your old phone, but will not inform you of the weigh ins such as a small crack in your screen. (My value dropped down to $100). Due to my lack of knowledge, I feel as if I was taken advantage of and therefore received very little information throughout the entire process.

Today, this store sold $3000.00 in iPhones and an iPad to someone posing as my husband. His password WAS NOT verified. My husband got notified of the purchase and immediately called the location to learn what happened. Not only was the location unhelpful, they were rude and insolent towards him and the nightmare they helped create. All they (including the store manager) cared about was covering themselves. He had to call Verizon corporate to learn the next steps. Next, he had to file a police report. All over the incompetence of the individuals working in this store. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else for cell service, this location doesnt care one bit about anything other than covering themselves. What a joke.Update:The associate that did not follow security protocols was named Erick. He did not confirm our pin number. He did not ask for secondary ID. He simply indicated that the persons name matched the ID given. Wow, what great training and security Verizon! I have yet to find out the Managers name, but once I do, I will post that information as well.We are now working with Verizon fraud and Verizon wireless social media to get the specifics of what happened and help us get compensation for this nightmare Erick and this store has caused my husband and I. This was a colossal security failure on behalf of Verizon, this retail location and its inept, poorly trained, rude and combative employees. Take my advice, stay away and go elsewhere.

Made an appointment, but went in (4:00 on a Tuesday afternoon) and was able to get in before the appointment, nice! The gentleman who helped me knew what he was doing, and helped answer a number of questions...and got us on the right track. We had purchased a new phone from Costco and there had been an issue about returning the old phone....a difference between what Costco and Verizon had said.Anyway, thanks to Quincy, we knew what we had to do, and he also fixed the old phone as well. It was a pleasurable experience all around. went to Costco afterwards, and got everything settled quickly so problem solved.

Whoever said this VERIZON store was BAD badly understated the situation. This location is full of RUDE, ARROGANT young people who dont care whether you stay a customer or not. I get the impression that they are there to get discounted cell service and care less if you are satisfied or not. I wanted to upgrade my phone on a business account and the guy told me I needed to provide proof that the account was a business account after 11 years???? The young man that was helping me disappeared for 30 minutes and came back without an explanation why the business documentation was not in the file and required me to provide proof that this was a business account. Based on my most recent experiences, the dysfunction cannot reside only at the retail level.

Im torn on this place. They were pretty helpful and friendly when we signed up for service, but after a mistake on their part with paperwork for a bogo deal, they were suddenly not as helpful or friendly. One manager even insinuated my wife was incompetent by saying... its really simple you should be able to do it even though the problem was found to be their fault with paperwork. I think it depends on who you are working with as to whether you will have a pleasant experience here.

The best experience by far over any other Verizon store I have ever visited. Friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, my Friday, October 28, 2016 visit (6 pm) was an awesome experience. My associate, Keri, and truthfully the entire staff at the time, answered all of my questions, didnt hurry me, and were completely transparent. (I had purchased a case for my new phone that I didnt like and was having charging issues with my relatively new ipad pro) While I am in the DC/VA/MD metro, I will only go to the College Park location. The one or two times I actually had time to wait for a rep to assist me, the rep didnt know how to help and had to refer to the manager. The manager was not very pleasant or overly helpful either. Sales associates are way too pushy. Would not take no for an answer. My husband went in to do an edge up and the associate told me that he finessed the system to somehow trade in his device (which still had a balance on it) to trade it in for a credit to use towards almost $300 worth of accessories that he did not ask for. The representative moved my husbands device agreement to my sisters line and gave him a new device payment agreement. So now instead of having two device agreements, I have three. I went to the store to get all of this straightened out and it was a disaster. We waited for over an hour while the manager sat in the corner on her phone and playing with the Bluetooth. When customers came into the store she did not bother to come from behind the counter to even greet the customers or sign them in. There was no order. At one point the manager and I were going back and forth because she refused to help me and insisted that I waited on the representative who helped my husband earlier that day. Its really a shame the way these associates have to deceive and pressure the customers into buying things they do not want to avoid being coached for a naked sale smh.

Employee implied I was a liar and asked for my ID. They tried to nickle and dime me over $150 and treated me like an idiot, intentionally misleading me on their pricing. I had to leave the store to avoid confrontation. Hopefully this does not speak for all employees but this one clearly had his head up his rear and should not be working in a field that involves human interaction. Per Verizons own policy they are not supposed to let a customer leave with a phone that has caught fire or is otherwise smoking. This employee was ignorant of all procedure, clearly obsessed with selling new phones, and utterly useless. He single handily motivated me to consider changing a $3000 a year phone contract with Verizon over $150. I strongly suspect the positive reviews for this store are fake. There are only two kinds 1 star and 5 star, customers and Verizon employees.

Bad customer service...we are now considering switching provider after being a very long time customer. Lack of knowledge when it comes to insurance. They sent us to get my husband phones LCD to UBREAKIFIX without a claim and told us we will be paying approximately around $75. Nice store and in mostly good condition. Some of the displays looked a bit neglected, but overall fine. I am not sure the phones matched their markers. The staff was friendly and willing to help, though there was a small wait when I went in.This store seems most suited to account and phone enquiries, though it has a small selection of accessories for phones, except the Moto Z. There are many accessories for the Moto Z on working display, so you can check them out.

I was fine with their service until I gave them my phone to activate it. To begin, I tried to activate my phone via online before coming here. I had a sim card sent to me by a Verizon rep via phone. After receiving it, I followed the directions that came with it to activate it. The sim card was detected by the phone and I had a new rep trying to activate the phone for me, but he told me the card was incompatible, meaning I was given the wrong sim card. So, that leads me to this Verizon store. I came in with the wrong sim card stuck in my phone. The reps took it to try to get it out so I asked if they had mini screwdrivers to remove the case rather than try to stick something in the sim slot. The rep talking to me said theyre using tweezers. They get the old sim card out and gave me back the phone and a new sim card. Problem is, the phone could not detect the sim card. The reps at this store told me the sim slot is damaged and though the phone works, it cannot read the sim cards. So, I took out the new sim card and put back the old one to see if it detected it. Nope. I even noticed a dent and a scratch on the old sim card. I told the reps at this store that the phone detected the old sim card before I gave them the phone so its possible that they damaged the phone while removing the old sim card with tweezers. One of the reps responded by saying she did not use tweezers, she used her nails. They did not offer me to replace my phone, instead they offered a choice to buy a new phone by paying the total cost into monthly payments. The problem with this is I have a free upgrade in 4 months and if I were to take their offer, getting the new phone would cost more than to wait 4 months for a new phone (at least $50 more than 4 months bills combined including activation fee). This leads me to my point of how I came into this store expecting to get a phone activated, but instead, along with not getting an activation, I received a phone that no longer works when it obviously was able to detect the previous sim card before (the phone stated it detected the sim card before I came into this store even though it was incompatible) and the reps wouldnt admit the possibility that they damaged the sim slot while trying to remove the old sim card. I lost complete faith in this store and would never trust them in handling a phone ever again especially when they didnt even ask me if I was okay with them removing the old sim card when they obviously did not have the proper tools needed to remove it without digging into the sim slot (ie screwdriver to unscrew the nails and pop the phone cover)
