La placita is a small supermarket with small restaurant in back. Good food, good prices and friendly service. We got a Ford it with rice and beans and ribs with rice e ad beans, homemade tortillas. Finger licking good.

When I paid for the food that I ordered, I asked the lady at the counter if my food came with chips, and she said no and laughed at me. then the other person at the other counter asked what we were talking about and then when she said what we were talking about he laughed at me to like chips never come with food. have you ever eaten at a Mexican food restaurant where they didnt have chips I have but they knew what the chips were when I asked them if they had chips. then when I went to the back counter to get my food there was a basket with a bag of chips in it. I would have been happy to pay for the bag of chips if someone had said that they had them but they pretended like they didnt know what I was talking about and laughed at me so I dont think Im going to be going back there anytime soonbefore I went to the restaurant I went online and looked at their menu and decided what I wanted. when I got home and looked at my food it wasnt what they said it was on the menu so if youre looking at the menu and deciding what you want you should ask them if they fix it like they do on their menu because my food wasnt what it they said it was going to be

I had never been to La Placita before... But I guarantee I will be back!!! Folks, this is a *real* Spanish / Latin / Mexican restaurant & grocery. Elaine and I got the #6 (Burritos Supreme) - and yes, they number their menu for the ease of non-Spanish speakers. We decided to go there right after 5:00 pm when EVERYONE is picking up a to-go order and service was still fast and awesome. Okay, back to the Burritos Supreme... - we got them with the carne asada (they have a variety of meats)... I thought I had tasted some awesome Tex-Mex food during my life but this really was better than anything else Ive ever had. When you pull into a place like this and the pickup / to-go line is more than 10 deep its a pretty good indication of the quality of their food. The place was spotless clean. The burritos were the size of my upper arm. The guacamole was fantastic (and I dont usually like guacamole). Did I mention that the food was AWESOME? Because it IS...Dont expect table service! Place your order at the kitchen order desk - they will give you a slip and you pay for your order at the front register. When your order is up they will call it out and you pick it up there. The kitchen counter is set where you can see everything that is going on back there. If you want a beer, you go to the refrigerator section, pay at the register, and the bottle opener is to the left of the kitchen order counter (I cant remember if it was a bear head or a wolf head design but youll find it).Dine-in and carry-out available. I am not certain whether they work with a restaurant delivery service or offer delivery themselves.They have fresh-made just-about-everything-you-can-imagine every day. From tortillas (by the pound!) to desserts and everything in-between.Oh, and the groceries! Yes, if you are looking for authentic Latin / Mexican / Spanish groceries they probably have it. Also really good cookware.Tuesdays (yes, stereotypical) are Taco Tuesdays - their tacos are $1.89 on Tuesdays as I recall and believe me they are worth more than twice that.My highest compliments go to this local restaurant, their courteous and helpful staff, and the kitchen.If you want the real deal and the best Tex-Mex Ive ever had - you should go here.

Food was like warm. No one is wearing masks and customers were playing musical chairs after tables were cleaned. Needed more cleaning on the seats. Can still see greasy marks. I am not recommending this place until next year if I ever decide to return.

When you walk into La Placita its like you crossed the Border. It is a Convenience Store, Butcher Shop, Tortilla Factory and Restaurant.When it comes to the Restaurant, its a humble little area in back. They have a jukebox that plays lively Latin music. The food is traditional Mexican. Gringos stay away. Go to La Marimba for good Tex/Mex or Taco Bell. This is the Real Deal!Ive eaten there for years and love them! The food is top quality and expertly prepared by angels. If you cant order in Mexican, youre in trouble LOL!They havent been raided by ICE so they must be Kosher!😜

This is a nice Hispanic shop. Great home made meals as you watch the cooks prepare your meal. This is one of the few shops in Cocoa that sells the raw herbs essential for authentic Mexican cuisine.Highly recommend the beef burrito. Is huge, well worth the money.

As a native of So Cal, I can tell you that this is the closest to authentic Mexican food you will find in Brevard county. You will find a lot of Tex Mex food around but its not the same as Mexican food. Give them a try and youll see what Im talking about. So good!
