David and Mark had excellent knowledge on the area and about how to use the equipment safely and effectively. Theyll also transported the kayaks from the shop to the launch site and back! They ensued we knew the rules and best places to look. Would gladly rent from them again.

Great place to rent an assortment of bikes and surfboards. The prices are great, customer service is superb. They also provide services to repair your own personal equipment. A1A beach rentals is the place to go for rentals and repairs.

Cant put up enough stars. 10 stars. We rented bikes, scooters, boards... THIS PLACE IS GREAT. Great service, great prices. It was like they went out of their way to make our vacation the best it could be. I wont try and haul my gear all the way from Texas next time. My group had an awesome time kayaking at the 1000 islands by cocoa beach. This was definitely the highlight of our vacation, Dave was very helpful, and set us up for a perfect adventure! I highly recommend using A1A for kayak rentals, best service and definitely worth the price !

Lady working the shop that day was so sweet! Her driver called out that day but she was still willing to deliver 2 kayaks to us. We rented for a half day and had fun. Saw a bunch of huge pelicans, cranes, an osprey and even a dolphin kept surfacing near us. Unfortunately no manatees. Still a good time!

I did an online reservation a few days in advance from Colorado for 2 fishing poles, and added the optional braided line in the comment section. Day of we showed up to pick up the poles and it was such great customer service. Equipment was in great shape, and very high quality for the rental price. Staff was very friendly and fast. 5 star service will definitely return and recommend!

A1A Beach rentals has deceptive wording on their website. The website contains the following wording: “Sunseeker Resort ComboIncludes: -Two Full length adjustable chaise loungers -One 7.5′ Sunbrella resort umbrella, installed. -All labor for set-up and take down daily $45/day 15% Gratuity Added to all Full Setups. Please call before booking to be sure that we can service your resort.”I emailed them the week before our trip was scheduled, and was told that they delivered to our address. I then called two days later in order to make a reservation. I explained to the lady that answered the phone where we were staying, and told her that I wanted the resort combo. She gave me a rate for three days of a little over $100. I gave her my credit card and the deal was done. I then realized that I was not charged enough, and figured that I was charged for the lesser package which only included delivery. I called back and she said that she had indeed only charged me for the lesser package that included delivery but not set up and take down. She then added the extra charge to my credit card. On the day of delivery, they did not arrive until after 11 o’clock in the morning. It was a gentleman who had two chairs and an umbrella on a beach cart. He told me that it was not his job to set up the umbrella on the beach, that he only delivered. I called the telephone number for A1A Beach rentals, and they proceeded to tell me that they had made it clear on the phone that I would not get set up and take down services because of where I was staying. This is simply not the case. They never told me that. If that were the case, why would they charge my credit card the extra fee for the extra service?I refused the chairs and umbrella on the cart, and requested a refund. An hour or so later, I checked my messages, and had a text message from A1A Beach rentals with a copy of a refund receipt for the original hundred dollars. When I called to request a refund of the secondary charge, I was told that it had already been refunded and that the photo of the receipt must not have come through. A few minutes after our phone call ended, I received a text message with a photo of the second refund receipt. The timestamp on the second receipt proved that the receipt was generated after the time of our phone call, even though I was told that the refund has already been done.I was not happy with the service nor the attitude of this company, and I would never seek to do business with them again.

Since I moved to the beach, I’ve been coming here for all my bike repair needs. Always super friendly service and very helpful.

Do not rent the fishing poles. The line is mono and so extremely thin. Husband took it back and showed them the frays in the line and told them how often they should be replacing it. Said they don’t do refunds. Only used for about an hour before taking it back. Ended up just leaving with no refund after purchasing for all day. Hopefully they will replace the lines, current lines are absolutely useless.

We visited Cocoa beach for a day trip on my daughters 8th birthday. A1A beach rentals had everything we needed for a perfect day at the beach. I purchased the Family combo and when I got there, I noticed I didnt need everything. They easily adjusted what I need and even helped me pack it in my small rental car. Staff was inviting and answered all my questions.

We had a great kayak tour with John. Our group was paired with two other groups. John and his co-guide did a great job handling the different ability levels with a large group. We were able to see some manatees up close and we enjoyed being able to have a longer tour and being flexible. 5 starts would definitely take a tour with John again!

They accommodated us wondefully!! Within an hour of calling we were out there attempting to surf. Next time we will definitely try the lessons. But there will be a next time!!

The staff was really nice, but where they put us in the water was very disappointing. I had been sooo looking forward to seeing wild life. This area only had birds and green murky water. I am very disappointed with this outcome.

So we drove from Orlando with our kayaks to kayak the mangroves...THEN we realized we forgot our paddles! DUH! After calling around we found A1A beach Rentals that rented us just paddles and rented them cheap. Other places were asking double and triple than the $10 we paid.The guy (owner?) was great about not making fun of our silliness and giving us some great tips about the area.As an aside, he has waterproof phone cases for a great price.Thanks for coming through for us!

Called them and less than 30 min later Dave Showed up and gave me my gear. He was amazing person. The gear came with a table/dolly and the chairs and umbrella worked perfectly. I will definitely use the service again. I called to turn in and by the time I was packed Dave was there waiting to retrieve my gear. Amazing!

I lost my paddle in the ocean and went there to buy another plus a leash but had to leave 24 hours later and did not have a chance to use either. These jerks would only accept return on the leash ($13)and not the paddle ($100+) even though it clearly had never been used. No return policy was posted. They said they would give me a 6 month credit on the paddle...lot of good that would have done since I live in Seattle! Do business with these guys at your own risk! I come from the land where the customer rules (Nordstrom, Amazon, Starbucks) Clearly this kind of bad customer service means they won’t be around long. Typical tourist trap! Highly recommend renting from here! What made this place stand out to me in my search for rentals was the fact I could pick the kayak up instead of launching from a designated spot. Shay was amazing and helped me with my rental. I needed it for a full day of kayaking around the Thousand Islands and it was perfect. 7 hours of adventure and the kayak was way better quality than those I’ve experienced before.

Had a great time renting electric bikes from there. Got to explore more than I ever have on a bike! Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

This place was amazing. We rented beach chairs and an umbrella for the day. We gave them a call and they delivered everything right to us. The chairs and umbrella were new and very nice. The service was GREAT!

Super friendly and gave me some great tips on the laws for night riding much appreciated.

We walked to one tiki hut they had and we were about 1 minute away from them and they stated we couldn’t buy umbrellas from them. They made us walk to the other side of the beach. Then when we went to drop them off at 9am (opening time) no one was available. We had to wait 30 minutes because someone showed up late for work. RIDICULOUS !

This place is FANTASTIC! David, the owner, makes sure you have a wonderful experience. From bike and kayak rentals to guided ecology tours you are in great hands. You can purchase a new bike and they even have wheelchairs that enable beach access. Im sure youll be glad you used their services.

A bit pricey but heck it’s mom and pop owner is nice and knowledgeable, was willing to work with me and gave a “package” deal which was nice but unfortunately I will be returning one of my two tubes i purchased can’t quite afford 60$ on two tubes at the moment. None the less overall positive experience would recommend this to a friend or any one who likes bikes and out doors beach adventures!!

We called a couple days ago from the airport in Canada to ask about rentals and the best days/places to go. Was recommended to call a day before we came to the beach from Orlando to book equipment. Got it all set up. Rolled up to A1A our stuff was waiting for us. After a quick detail swap and some advice on parking and setup we were off for a day at the beach. One tip for other travellers, if you are novice boogie boarders (like us) maybe ask about the surf conditions. We found red flag at Laurie Wilson park was a bit too intense. We still had fun but got knocked around quite a bit.

We stopped in to get a Spoke tightened. David, the owner was extremely helpful and super nice. His son was the first to greet us and he was fantastic. We will definitely visit here in the future for our bicycle needs.

We made our reservations for a boat a few days before and it went well. Come the day of the boat rental we called to let them know that we would be running late and the worker David answered. We told him about it and he said we needed to call the people who owned the boat but we didn’t have the number so he said he would send it to us. A few minutes pass and no text so we called again and we told him we didn’t receive the text, he rudely started to tell us that we were at the wrong place and had inappropriate language. We called again because we made sure that we were definitely calling the right place but he wasn’t having it and kept with the same rude attitude. So we arrive at the place and he was the one at the desk and as soon as we told him that we were the one who called he rolled his eyes. We showed him the receipt that we paid and he started looking for our ticket. Apparently the reservation was never made even though they had processed our ticket. We cancelled the boat and got a refund. Overall a bad experience and poor management of the situation.

I rented a bike from A1A Beach Rentals and Outdoor Center this past Monday. During my ride I had a bolt fall out which made it unable to pedal. I called them and within 15 minutes a new rental was delivered to me. It was great to have them respond so quickly and I will rent from them again should the need arise.

What a great experience yesterday day.A group of us rented bikes for the day,6 of us in total.Dave the owner waited on us. We were in and out in no time. Dave personally checked each bike to make sure it was fitted correctly to each rider. He also showed us. How to adjust. Our own seats if we needed to while riding.He took the time to answer all of our questions.I have to say the quality of the bikes were excellent.I have rented bikes before and these by far were the best,vey comfortable seats.Whrn we returned the bikes he was there to greet us and seemed genuinely interested on how our bike ride went. The bike rental prices are very reasonable. I would highly recommend this shop,!

A1A beach rentals has AMAZING service!!!! There was a bit of a mishap and when i needed to keep my rentals a bit longer they allowed me to do so. My trip is complete after this, thank you A1A rentals and outdoor!!

I rented a bike on a Sunday around 2pm. About an hour later, we were approached by a Brevard County Deputy Sheriff. He asked us where we got the bike and how long we had it. We explained that we had just rented the bike less than two hours ago from A1A Beach Rentals. He said that our bike was reported stolen by the shop and that they were on their way to pick it up. We told him that there had to have been some mistake because we had just paid for the bike less than two hours ago. The Sheriff said that the family next to us had rented a bike from the same shop, and it had been stolen three weeks prior to this day. They said it was bike #21 that was stolen from them and they were charged $250 for it. My bike had a #21 on it as well. When the rental shop driver arrived, he read the serial number to verify that it was NOT the same bike that was stolen. The employee finally said that he remembered us, and that this was all a mistake. He also said that they purchased a new bike to restock the inventory for the #21 bike, which was never mentioned to the family when they called the shop to verify the bike number that was stolen. We immediately returned the bike and went home. I then received a text from an employee saying that they were sorry and that they instructed the family to not call the police and to wait for the driver to arrive to verify the serial numbers (the employee said my driver so at the time, I assumed it was the owner). Two days later, I had a meeting with Brevard County Sheriff Lieutenant Confreda to explain the situation I encountered with the deputies. He reviewed the report, and informed me that it was actually the bike shop that called the police. So the employee that reached out to me LIED to me and blamed it on the family that had their bike stolen. One suggestion I have for this shop is to record what bike numbers are out being rented by guests so situations like this do not get out of hand with police. We were so embarrassed because we were surrounded by officers and treated like criminals. Our beach day was ruined.

Called them a month in advanced to rent beach gear for our trip. The guy who answered, David, said to call the day we were driving there, at least 20min before arrival, to notify them that we were on our way and they would have everything setup ready to go. When we got to the beach no one knew that we were coming. We were told that they dont setup on the beach, they only carry the equipment to the beach. Also, when I called they said that we could keep our setup until 1630 and the we were told that they would be taking it down at 1600. There was definitely a lack of communication going on.

This shop is amazing. I had flat tires and they let me air my tires up for free unlike the gas stations. they even offered me their tools to work on my bike when they saw me adjusting stuff outsid . The bikes were clean and in great condition should I have needed a rental. Would definitely go back! Thank you! -Arizona

Very Poor setup. I found the staff rude, taking equipment back before the time. If you come to Cocoa beach, dont end up in this place, my kids CRIED FOR 2 DAYS AFTER THEY RENTED OUT THE EQUIPMENT THAT I ALREADY CALLED AND HAD ON HOLD.. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK..

Sales guy was not helpful or nice to deal with. Quoted one price tried to charge 10$’s more. Did not offer set up and closed before we could take our chairs and umbrella back. Charged 15% gratuity, for what? I had to set up and take back daily. After the first day, I did speak with management and they decided to set up for us for the rest of the week for no charge. I have rented from lots of beach rentals over the years and this one was by far more expensive and with terrible service. 170$ for the week plus 39$ to set up daily. That’s $209 for the week and they hardly had any chairs and umbrellas rented on Cocoa beach. And no discount for only wanting the chairs for 5 days not 7. I would advise using another company.

It was a friends birthday and we decided to take a Bioluminescence Kayak tour. We went with A1A because it was the best price and the tour was 2 hours. Everything else we found was 90 minutes. Also we liked that the owner was from the area and it was an established business. We had some friends do a tour with another company and they launched off the side of the road and was very unprofessional.We met the guides at Banana River Park and everything was ready for us. The kayak tour was amazing. We have never done it before and the water glowing was really cool. We live in Orlando, so we will start making this a yearly event.I have already recommended A1A to my friends who love kayaking. Thanks again!

Set up a surf lesson and our instructor Mark was awesome! Super nice and had my 10 year old catching waves after only a few tries. The waves were breaking pretty close to shore so not as great for me. But I still caught a few!

Matt and David of a1a beach rentals were amazing. Extremely responsive and informative PLUS these guys were the only business with dedicated fishing kayaks. Fishermen that do not want their reels getting wet with saltwater can appreciate the rod holders and A1A didn’t disappoint. Kayaks came with a PFD and an anchor and pat leash. I Highly recommend these guys.

Very friendly service. I had the toes in the sand package which was easy to setup equipment that was also easy to move thanks to the cart. They also suggested a great beach and place for dinner after. I would rent here again.

My largest complaint is that I was overcharged for my rental. The advertised price for my rental on the companys website was $60, and I was charged $69. I noted this to the delivery person, but he said that he couldnt do anything about it and asked me to call the shop. I did call the company, and the person I spoke to immediately become confrontational, told me the price on their website was a typo, and refused to honor it. In the future, I will rent from companies with better and more honorable business practices.

Ive rented kayaks and beach cruisers from them several times at good prices. Every time Ive come over or called them they were very prompt and accommodating with my times. Theyll also deliver your gear to where you want to launch from for a small fee. The manager Ive dealt with showed trust in his customers that I appreciated, with a great deal of flexibility in rental times.
