321 was great. Close to the water, hands on teaching and even a helmet to talk to you if you start cruising out far. Tim was a great teacher and progressed me through the steps really quick in the 3 hour session. I am at the point where I could buy my own gear to progress at home, or do another lesson to get more proficient with more hands on tips!

Tim and Lucy were awesome today. I’ve had a couple lessons and Tim got me back to where I left of a couple years ago quickly. It was a higher wind day and he kept me focused on the fundamentals while keeping it fun.Betsy was a first timer and Lucy had her progressing quickly while having a great time. 5/5: Amazing/exceptional. I took the 5 hour lesson with my wife, after having taken the ground school a few months back. My experience with both lessons was phenomenal, Tim, Romann, and the rest of the staff went above and beyond my expectations. If you can make it to the ground course before taking a water lesson I would encourage it. My wife had not taken the ground course prior to the water lesson and while it didn’t stop her from progressing, I felt way more comfortable flying the kite because I had a few hours more practice with one. By the end of the lesson I managed to get up once for a very short distance and I’m trying to find the next soonest time I’ll free to take another lesson. I can’t recommend these guys highly enough!P.S. the lesson was tiring, even exhausting, but other than some balancing I didn’t feel it was athletically taxing, so don’t think you need to be in good shape to do this.

I am an intermediate rider that was looking for some detailed technic refinement. I tried the other provider in the area and literally wasted my money over a couple lessons and supervised rides. The best instruction I received, was just practice more. Enter Romann. He took the time to understand what I was looking for and in a few minutes was able to diagnose the few minor technique things I was doing incorrectly and I was flying in no time. The equipment was much newer, complete working condition and in one instance completely brand new (in comparison the competitors equipment literally broke multiple times on me and had me wrongly sized). I also appreciated his methodical approach; testing out more basic and safety related topics/techniques before moving onto more advanced ones. The video evidence and overall genuine and caring demeanor were simply icing on the cake. Dont waste your money with others. 321 Kiteboarding is the premier supplier in the area. Will be back!

321 Kiteboarding has the best instructors. Tim and Lucy were extremely helpful today. Tim is great at helping you feel more comfortable in the water in the deeper parts. He explained how to handle any situation in the water and mentally prepare myself for the worst possible situation. He gives great tips on kite handling and board control when riding. Women can do this sport too it just takes some practice and discipline. Get out there and catch some wind with 321 kiteboarding!!

Drove 30 minutes out of my way to find out the shop is not open at the time it says it is. 435 pm. On to the next place to buy a new kite, board, and wetsuit.

Fantastic lessons with high-end equipment, great progression-style learning, and a friendly and knowledgeable team -- an overall great experience. We took lessons with Tim for two days--he was great to work with. We had flown a trainer kite (Hydra 350) a few times before, but were true beginners. On the first day we went through kite set-up, flying, and body dragging; on day two we were getting up on the board. Tims teaching style made progression quick and easy. After two days of lessons we were able to do everything -- from setting up the kite and flying under control -- to getting up on the board and safely getting back to shore when stuck in deep water. We also enjoyed cocoa beach -- most of the bay is 2-4 feet deep, and there are friendly people of all experience levels kiteboarding. I highly recommend 321 Kiteboarding -- and lessons with Tim.

With a bit of kiting experience but zero kitesurfing experience, 321 got me out on the water and riding the first day. My instructor was amazing and the owner is friendly and helpful. Everyone there is welcoming. The instruction was top notch. Advice was given sparingly enough to not overwhelm, but when she did provided input, it was applied and yielded immediate and positive results. Zero complaints, 100 percent thanks.

I ordered 2 pair of NSI Surf N Skim Padz with inserts from 321Kiteboarding. They never shipped the order, and it took 3 weeks to get a refund. The owner kept making excuses for what was probably just a simple pricing error on their website that he didnt want to honor.First, he expressed concern about my address. Second, he was feigned confusion about whether I ordered pads with or without inserts. Third, he tried to gaslight me into thinking I ordered pads without inserts, and coerce me to pay more for them, by changing his website. Fortunately, I had before and after screen shots. After showing these to him, the owner ghosted me for a week. It took a threat of filing a complaint with the Consumer Protection Division of the State AG and the Better Business Bureau to get a refund. In giving the refund, he claimed that the billing and shipping address must be the same. This is contrary to the website, and if true, why did he wait 3 weeks to tell me?This year alone, I have spent $10k on kite and wing gear at Real Watersports, Mac Kiteboarding, Big Winds, Windance, KitePaddleSurf, Kite Mana, and Good Breeze. Not one item was shipped to my billing address. All provided fantastic customer service. With so many great choices, why spend your money at 321Kiteboarding?

Absolutely loved 321 kite! This was my first time kite boarding and I had an awesome time with Tim and his team of instructors, who were very knowledgeable and fun people to learn with. Starting out we would begin with gaining an understanding of how the wind and kite work and how to control the kite, which sounds a lot easier than it was to actually do, but they helped me really grasp the idea of it. I cant exaggerate enough how patient and passionate the instructors are about the sport and just overall how amazing of people they are. I would definitely recommend 321 kite! Tim showed us what to do and not to do, which had me in awe the whole time on how experienced he and his team are as they glided across the waters. 321 Kite boarding will be an awesome experience if you are really wanting to learn how to Kite surf; it left me inspired to be more involved in the sport, and you will have an overall crazy and fun time!

Took a 5-hour kiteboarding lesson with an awesome instructor last weekend and had SO. MUCH. FUN. Lucy showed us how to check the wind, check for best surfing spots/avoid wind-shadows, how to inflate, check/prep, and lay the kite while not using it, then how to get it into the water and how to pack it all up. She was super supportive and gave concise, clear feedback on all the techniques. Got us from 0 skill to being able to control the kite, set it down, how to move cross/up-wind, and how to get up on the board. I had a blast, and learned a ton doing it :)By the end of the lesson I was nearly able to ride unassisted. I feel like if I bought a full set today Id be able to go out and ride on my own.(wayyy more than I wouldve expected from 1 day of instruction!)Next time Im in town 321 will be my go-to for kiteboarding. I wish I could give 10 stars!!!I took the ground course with Romann a couple months ago (it was super informative, and totally worth it), I bought a new trainer kite and landboard (ozone ignition = best trainer kite ever!), I had an old trainer kite repaired (super pro, painless, and inexpensive), and, just the other day, I pulled the trigger on a complete kiteboard setup!Romann was incredibly helpful in getting me on the right gear. He walked me through the whole process. He helped me greatly to get into a complete setup while staying EXACTLY within my budget. I ended up with a mixture of used/new gear. All of which looks to be incredibly high quality. I cant wait to get out on the water with it!Ive been getting familiar with my gear in the yard. Ive yet to take it to the beach. Just set up a 3 hour lesson with Tim, who I met while buying my gear. He seems to be a very genuine person. Stoked to have him as my instructor!The whole crew at 321 is RAD! Shout out to Callie holdin it down!Im loyal, even though I live 2 hours away from the shop!

I took a three hour kite lesson with Lucy and had a great time and learned so much! She was a very good instructor and took me from complete gear set up, safety systems and kite flying, all the way up to my first ride! She is a great instructor and is very knowledgeable and patient. Almost every time I’m out at the 520 slick I run into the folks from 321 and they always offer tips and advice to help make you a better rider. They have even let me try out some different gear to see what works better in certain wind conditions. Since taking my lessons I’ve bought a used foil and a used twin tip both had great prices and helped get me into the sport at a much more reasonable price. They have also helped me get linked into the kite community over at the 520 slick which is very helpful because as a beginner it helps to know people that can help when you make a mistake or need help launching or landing your kite or even just having people to ride with so that your not out alone. I highly recommend 321 for lessons if your Looking to get into kiteboarding or needing some new gear!

Love this company. I highly recommend going to them for all your kiteboarding needs. I have taken two lessons so far with 321 kiteboarding. Tim is a great instructor! He is professional, informative, patient and super helpful. As a female I was nervous about the sport and my lack of upper body strength. The kite is easy to handle and light weight. It was so much fun to learn how to fly the kite and body drag. I will definitely be signing up for another lesson ASAP. I am very happy learning this sport with the proper guidance by the crew at 321 kiteboarding. My husband has taken several lessons with the company and he loves kite boarding. He comes home from a lesson super stoked. Now that I have taken lessons I see why he loves it so much.

Had a great session with 321Kiteboarding the other day. From a very friendly initial customer service, through great setup (with two way radio for communication) to clear way of teaching and explaining real time I found Tim, who was my instructor, help me take things to the next level. I would highly recommend this team!

Great 1st time experience! Lucy kept in contact prior to the 3 hour lesson, adjusting the start time for the best wind. Appreciated meeting Mariah and Roe waterside at the 520 Slick, (paved parking), where we moved through the wind-window basics. Hands-on set-up of new equipment where Mariah explained what was right/wrong and why. The lesson then moved into the water, showing how to move from shore to river without dragging/damaging the kite. The jet ski got me practicing water launches in great wind and kept Mariah close at hand as I practiced body drags. Instruction on safety systems and water recovery left me feeling confident that Id chosen a great shop.

I went to 321 because of the high number of excellent reviews. All of them prove to be right!I started taking private lessons with John. He is an amazing teacher and takes the exact right amount of time to explain and show new moves.After about four days with two hours a day I finally made it on the board. Mastering your kite is the main objective as you are not able to stay on the board otherwise. Depending on your kite mastering skills you can be on the board the first day, too.The kite shop itself provides everything you might need for getting your own kite.The staff is awesome and extremely nice. They assist you with everything you might need.In case that there is no wind or the wind is too strong at your scheduled time, 321 calls you to reschedule. They do everything to make you feel comfortable with the kite. This is why I would recommend leaning kite boarding here!

Had an amazing experience with 321 Kiteboarding on a last minute trip to Cocoa Beach. The core focus of their instruction is making you a competent rider beyond your session and it definitely shows. Dont expect to sit down in a class room, youll be out on the water learning the basics almost immediately. If youre visiting Cocoa Beach, definitely check out 321. The individual attention youll receive makes all the difference.

I started my journey to learning to kite with 321’s $39 group ground lesson on Cocoa beach with small trainer kites. This lesson was a perfect, safe, affordable way to start understanding the theory of kite control. My second lesson was a one-on-one lesson with Tim in the shallow flat water at 520 bridge causeway (520 slick). This one lesson with Tim was effective enough to provide me with the knowledge to buy gear and start coming out on my own to practice safely. It took a lot of practice with many walks back upwind and so many tows back upwind from Tim on the Jetski before I finally got it, but within a couple of months I was up on the board riding upwind. Even when I was not scheduled for a lesson, Tim was always keeping an eye on me as I would end up too far downwind and would come to rescue me and tow me back upwind and I’d start over and try again. Having this support from the guys at 321 was so valuable to be able to learn this sport. It would be an understatement to say kiting has changed my life. There is just nothing like skimming across the water harnessing the energy of nature one hand dragging in the water then boosting high in the air. I have met some of the best people kiting and I find it holds one of the strongest senses of community. I feel that the 321 team is a large part of what creates this strong community and I don’t think you’ll meet more selfless giving people than Romann and Tim. Thanks again guys, your work is making the world a happier place!

This shop and staff is quite incredible. Not only did they guide me through this complex sport and all the technicalities but they taught me every step to be self sufficient while doing it. My biggest fear was not to get the kite up, but how it would affect others around me. Im 100% comfortable to hop in the water and get this bad boy flying. I have taken the ground course, board course, and 5 hours of training with 321 Kite boarding so far. Romann and Tim are very passionate about kite boarding, their passion and knowledge are passed on through their teaching. Tim is a great teacher focusing on positives while redirecting where needed and keeping the experience fun. The experiences I have had with 321 will keep me coming back for training and equipment.

I’m the current president of UCF Knights Kiteboarding, and Tim from 321 has always been very helpful giving tips to the new members and helping out the club in so many ways.

Im sure these guys are great Kiteboarders but as far as the business goes, the customer service is poor. I dropped off two kites for repair and after being told one price it was significantly higher when I picked them up. There was no itemized bill to show me anything I was charged for and I paid for them to ship the kites out to the shop that actually did the repair. The young girl working the store had very little knowledge of anything about the repair and barely knew her way around a kite..I wasnt very happy with my experience so I reached out to the owner. He gave me almost all of the shipping cost back.Then I took the kite out to the water for some fun and I wasnt able to ride because during the repair the bladder right above the repair had a hole in it.. Once again I reached back out to the owner.. I was told again that he cared about my experience and would be offering another solution to the issues.. I still havent heard from him.So I fixed the kite myself and will not be using their services or recommending them to anyone I know.To the owners response:I enjoyed how you responded to my review online to defend your lack of customer service and make it sound like youve done so much more than refund $29Bravo sir.I see your potential customers are more important than your unsatisfied ones..Btw I was charged $50 in shipping so thank you for around half of that.I cant show that because its just figured into the bill and is just handwritten as repair.I had to purchase a new bladder before I could finally flythis kite so thank you for the extra cost and delay.You talk your shop up quite a bit in your response and make it sound like youre the customer service hero.. Yet your customer was charged far more than initially quoted, paid for shipping cost for another shop to actually do the work and when the customer got his product back he had to fix it himself because it was damaged during the time it was with you.In my line of work we call that unsatisfactory sir.Please dont tell your customers you do final checks(Over night leak down tests) and then lie telling them that everything checked out when you failed to do any such test.It would have helped your case a little more..So thank you for assuring me that you are terrible with customer service, I appreciate you refunding me half of the shipping costs, for sending me back an unchecked and broken product and guaranteeing I will never use your unprofessional services again.Enjoy the broken foot.-Mike Walker

I`ve been attempting to learn to kiteboard for many years but never had the opportunity to take lessons consistently. After moving to the space coast I began taking lessons at 321 with Lucy and Tim and have had a great experience. You will receive great instruction with excellent safety. They also look out for you best interests not pushing lessons in less than ideal conditions like some other places I`ve been with in the past.Now that I`m almost self proficient Ive been making purchases through Romann at the shop and can also say if you are looking for good advice and excellent customer service then look no further. 321 was hands down exceptionally the best kiteboarding instruction that I have ever had having prior lessons without jetski, ear and mic communication with instructor. Tim was my instructor and had many years of knowledge, he had me immediately in the water and riding in a couple of hours didnt expect to be riding so quickly.5 STARS to Tim and the crew at 321 Kiteboarding!

Ive been to allot of kite surfing stores nation wide but it has been 321 Kiteboarding that has left a lasting impression on me. Recently I worked with Melanie on a consignment sell and was amazed at the level of excellence in which she represented the store and the sport. From the way she handled the transaction to the candid conversation about the sport, she was exceptional and I was inspired. That is very rare.

Staff and instructors are awesome - very friendly and knowledgeable. Melanie is great and really knows her stuff. Was able to go paddle boarding on New Years day thanks to open hours. If you are headed to the beach , definitely stop by.

This guys are super friendly and John, my instructor, helped me a lot to to make some very good progress during the lesson. At the end of the day, the wind was dying down and I was a bit stuck, so he decided to stop the lesson and continue another day when winds are more favorable, which I really appreciate. They make you feel very comfortable, but on the other hand will not waste your time, so if you are able to progress quickly, you can expect to learn a lot in just one day. It was a really good experience!

Great place, I highly recommend. I was pretty nervous going in with close to no experience, but the staff was super warm and welcoming. I worked with Tim, and by the end of our 3 hour kiteboarding session, he had me standing up on the board!! I will 100% be going back for lessons and gear in the future

Ive been kiting about a year and a half now. 321 has been with me from the beginning and theyve always taken great care of me.I got my lessons with John. Even though my lessons finished, when I see him at the slick he still looks out for me. From advice and pointers to the occasional rescue.Back at the shop Melanie makes sure I have everything I need. Shes very knowledgeable and always has good advice. Shes helped with repairs and even shown me how to do some minor things myself.As long as this amazing staff is there Ill always be a loyal 321 customer.

John and Melanie have been so awesome at introducing me to this sport! They are very patient and take their time to teach you the basics. Im so glad I chose 321 Kiteboarding, best decision ever.

What an awesome group of instructors! We had so much fun...I went kiting with my instructor and my son went surfing with his..we both learned so much and progressed in leaps and bounds thanks to the professional and pointed instruction! Cant wait to come back...you guys are the best:) Hands down the best instruction anywhere...thank you!

Second year in a row renting from this shop while traveling from the West Coast. They employees are fantastic - super helpful and extremely friendly. Willing to take the time to explain the local kite spots, conditions, and directions. The rental gear is in great condition.

These guys are absolute pros. Melanie was totally flexible with my instruction slot and John was the best hands on and hands off instructor. Couple that to the best spot of waist deep water Ive seen and awesome wind and they have my highest recommendation

I went to Cocoa Beach for the day and ended up watching a young lady by the name of Melanie and a young man, John teach a lesson to someone who obviously had never done this before. I listened to Melanie patiently explain how to get up out of the water onto the board. There was a lot of laughing and joking coming from her and her student in the water. It sounded like they were having a lot of fun. I have shared this experience with my younger friends and they may try this fun sport. They know where the store is and will start with lessons from John and Melanie.

I am 73 yrs old and decided to learn to kiteboard. While vacationing in cocoa beach I went out to the slick to watch the local kiteboarders. All the ones I talked to recommended Tim at 321 kiteboarding as the best instructor. I signed up for a lesson the next day, and was not disappointed. Tim was patient, thorough, and very supportive and goes the extra mile for his students. Every instructor is an expert kiteboarder, but not all are good teachers- Tim is both. In addition, the slick is the perfect learning environment - a huge area of waist deep water that must be a half mile in diameter. Tim will take you to the area with the best conditions by jetski and stay right beside you the whole time.
