I cant imagine trying to sell my car any other way. I know the market is in our favor at the moment with the car shortage but in general the entire process was so simple, easy, quick, and stress free. CarMax will be my number one go to place to sell my cars in the future.

Definitely one of the efficient and straight forward business transactions I have ever participated. I believe the entire process took a total of 15 minutes. Simply went online and got an appraisal, which was $2,800 above what the dealer was offering, and stopped into an express location to validate the cars condition. The staff was friendly and professional. No smoke and mirrors the price was honored.

Very professional, fast and efficient process to sell my 2017 truck. I got a quote online and took it to the Carmax Buying Center. It took about 30 minutes to validate the quote and cut me a check. I have sold and traded many vehicles in my life but this was by far the easiest transaction. The price offered from Carmax was also higher than the estimated dealer trade in value on KBB. I would definitely recommend selling a car through CarMax rather than haggling over trade in value with a new car dealership.

Mark & Staff GAVE ME BAD VIBES! The whole process and dealings felt and were SHADY IN NATURE! They had me ENTER & EXIT THRU THE BACK DOOR!! WITH THE TRASH CANS!!! WHERE THEY HAVE NO SIGNS ON THE BACK OF BUILDING!!!WHAT A SHADY SHADY DEAL!!!!!I found out their is PROFESSIONALLY STEEP COMPETITION ACROSS THE STREET THAT TREATS YOU MUCH MUCH BETTER & PAYS MORE MONEY.I HAVE TO ASSUME This is why I was made to use the back door, they are apparently afraid of people finding out about this place across street and going there for MORE MONEY FOR YOUR CAR & BETTER SERVICE!

Arranged to have a car delivered here to test drive and buy. Received no communication other than automated text notification of delivery. Car was delivered on a Wednesday, I reached out to my sales associate that Friday to negotiate an appointment time and didnt get a response until Saturday, when I was told that the car would only be held for a max 5 days. Couldnt make it on in Saturday due to the short notice (its a 2.5 hour drive), theyre closed Sunday, and so I call today (Monday morning, 5th day) to receive the news that the car has been sold out from under me (during the 5 day window I wasnt told about until the 3rd day, with the 4th day being a day the dealership isnt even open.)I chose Carmax because I thought the higher price would be worth the customer experience, quality control, and piece of mind, but from start to finish it has been a terrible experience.

Always have had nice polite helpful service here. I typically go to this location to get a quote for a trade in before I go to a dealer for a new car. Its nice to have a printed quote to show a dealer to have them beat it. Highly recommend!

On the sidewalk, outside this location, there is usually 1-2 guys w/sandwich board signs over their body advertising/handing out a card for a competitor a short distance away.Of the 2 places , Carmax was more professional, and they offered me $17k (significantly more than the competitors noted here) vs $15.1k (competitor) for my 2019 vehicle.I also tried Carvana (online), and they offered me $15.6K, and KBB (online), which offered $14.65K.As you can see, the others tried to steal my vehicle w/their low offers. The Carmax process was quick, no pressure, and professional.Ultimately, it comes down to price, and in this case, CARMAX prevailed. Now, they will cleanup the car, and place it for sale in the upper $18K to low $19K.

I love CarMax!We have sold multiple cars here & always get a fair price in a timely fashion. During this trip, there were sign spinners for a local competitor outside. Naturally, we drove over to see if they could beat CarMaxs offer. They couldnt, their offices werent as comfortable/professional, and their staff were not as knowledgeable as those at CarMax.

It was quick, easy, hassle-free. They offered more than double the price compared to car dealer for my van.

Stopped in the Cockeysville store to get an appraisal on my car and was insulted with a ridiculous offer. I knew I would be low-balled but when I showed the appraiser (Kevin K- hes the tall, dorky & scrawny white guy) the Carmax website showing my exact car being sold by them for $10k-$11k he became rude and walked away mumbling something. I would avoid these clowns.

I used Car Max several times to sell my vehicle and Ive always done as well as or better than trading in my car at a dealership. Also I feel you have more negotiating leverage when you dont have a car to trade when purchasing a new one.

I had a overall bad experience at the Cockeysville CarMax car buying center recently. I was met with a very rude condescending take-it-or-leave-it attitude. I was also discouraged from checking out the competition across the street, using tactics to intimidate me. This was a very unpleasant and unprofessional experience. I even watched them leading some customers out the back door!!??? What is all that about folks just seems a little unsettling.I will never be returning to CarMax Cockeysville car buying center. Thank you for showing me what you truly are about which is not the true benefit me the consumer giving me the highest value for my car!!!

Cash Money Cars DriveBuys has an A+ BBB Rating with Zero Complaints. Along with a better Google review score from consumer reviews.Everyone knows that Speaking negatively with rumors about another business is UNETHICAL.I think it’s fair to assume Cash Money Cars DriveBuys is giving Carmax a run for their money, paying more to consumers for cars.

Called up about a car that they said they had in stock, showed up and the car wasnt there, after I had drove out 4 hours to see this car and the sails manager had addressed my conserns he gave me a number I could call to stalk to someone about my experience and help me find any other cars I might be looking for sins they where closing. I call the number 3 different times to be hung up on. In all honesty I gave up on these people and just went to koons and was in and out with a like new Camaro ss within 3 and a half hours. To be completely honest rethink youre slogan of hassle free car buying experience if your not even going to be anywhere near as good as a big named dealer, I felt like I was at and being helped by a aotomotive version of Walmart.
