I usually do all my own work on my cars, but on occasion when time is tight or I dont have the right equipment Ive taken both my Boxster S and Cayenne Turbo to Julio and had a great experiences. He charged what he quoted, kept me updated and did meticulous work. He even worked late on a Saturday to get my Cayenne done when he said he would when it took longer than anticipated. I wouldnt take my Porsches anywhere else in the central valley.

Julio is a trustworthy and very talented mechanic. I’ve been taking my Porsche 911 to him for years, everything from a basic service to something a little bit more complex. It’s very difficult to find somebody who knows what they’re doing when it comes to hi ended sports cars and Revolution Autosport is one of the only places I trust. You will not be disappointed, your car is even washed and waxed when ready to pick up!!! Now that’s service!

Julio, the owner, takes great pride in his work and stands behind it. He is very knowledgeable and meticulous when it comes to Porsche. He gives an honest estimate and doesnt try to sell you something your car doesnt need(no surprises). I highly trust and recommend Revolution Autosport.

With almost 30 years of experience with Porsche and being an PCA instructor as well as local chapter president, Julio is not kidding when he says he lives and breathes Porsche. He can basically just smell or listen to your Porsche and get a ballpark idea of whats going on. Julio is always friendly, honest, and helpful with preventive maintenance suggestions. He may not have the largest team or shop to get you in and out asap, but hes some of the most thorough guys around. You cannot go wrong with giving Julio a call, especially if youre in the area!

Julio Alvarado continues to ignore request for payment of a Court Ordered Judgement....I stopped by his place of business and discovered that he is no longer at 1157 or 1208 Barstow. No forwarding address and nothing new on any social media accounts. Has this guy finally gone out of business ? His license with the Bureau of Automotive Repairs is also delinquent. Anybody know where he can be contacted ?A few things you should know about Julio Alvarado and Revolution Autosport LLC….-The Business License with the City of Clovis has been expired since 2015-There have been at least two complaints filed with the California State Bureau of Automotive Repair. Both of these complaints were escalated due to numerous violations and the results were used against Revolution Autosport LLC in court.-Revolution Autosport LLC is no longer accredited by the Better Business Bureau – 3 complaints-Julio Alvarado is no longer a member of the local Porsche Club and is banned from attending functions.-There are two Notice(s) of Entry Judgment on file with the Superior Court of California against Revolution Autosport LLC and or Julio Alvarado.-Revolution Autosport LLC is defunct – check the website for the California Secretary of StateIf you have had or are having a problem with Julio Alvarado and Revolution Autosport LLC, I strongly encourage you to utilize the services of the Bureau of Automotive repair and then take him to court if necessary. My unpleasant experience with Julio began when my brother died and we had to track down a car. A friend went to his shop looking for the car (since I live out of the Clovis area) and Julio denied knowing my brother or having the car. There was something uneasy about this visit so we decided to revisit…I went to the shop and luckily, Julio was not there. An employee (Julio later refer to him as an intern from Buchanan High School - Buchanan High School does not have any such intern program) told me that he knew my brother, the car had been at the shop for several months and that no work had been done on the car.Julio shows up and tells me that he knew about my brother’s death yet gave no reason why no attempt had been made to contact anyone after 3 months. Even though he had contact information, knew where my brother lived and was employed. He also claimed that he didn’t realize that my friend was asking about my brother’s car – pretty thin when you consider that his name was provided, and the car is a one of a kind build. He was repeatedly asked to provide any invoices, signed estimates, receipts, emails, text, or phone logs – no valid documentation was ever provided. So, the decision was made to remove the car from Revolution Autosport LLC. Julio made this very difficult and tried to hold the car ransom until a coerced release was signed which included him keeping a $5000 deposit for not doing anything. This was later thrown out in court and now we have a judgment in the amount of $5115 against Julio.Repeated request for payment continue to be ignored.

Julio demonstrated some great troubleshooting skills and helped me get my car to pass smog. He kept me updated on his progress. Who knew he could communicate in German? A real benefit when working with some of the manufacturers.

Julio has always taken excellent care of me and the cars. I have a 2008 Porsche 911 S for which Julio has done brakes, fluids, exhaust, and electronic reprogramming after I upgraded to hard-shell racing seats as well as brakes on my 2009 Porsche Cayenne S. He always answers all of my questions and has always given me sound advice. He definitely has my best interests in mind.

My 1987 Porsche 924S was towed to Revolution Autosport on 12/26/2017 for a clutch. The clutch was installed, but then the car wouldnt start, which was puzzling considering it always started and ran before. After installing a speed sensor and harness some weeks later, which was actually found to be completely unnecessary ($832.00), it still didnt start. A few things were done in April 2018, but absolutely nothing was done for roughly seven months thereafter, of which the owner admitted during a phone conversation shortly before Thanksgiving 2018. Another two months went by with some sporadic activity, but to no avail, shockingly. So, I reclaimed the car in late January 2019 and actually had to ask why the $184.00 battery I purchased during the lengthy stay wasnt in its place. That battery was moved to a different car. Who does that? Further, a tow back to the house was offered. Before leaving, I was told the car would arrive in roughly three hours. Needless to say, it finally arrived at 2:30 the next day, after pushing the issue via text message.I wasnt surprised, as you can imagine.Another facility not too far from Revolution Autosport got the 924S back on the road within three weeks after untangling the mess left behind. Cut wires, a cup full of screws, (I reinstalled the battery myself), the computer in a bag, with other small parts, etc.Time will tell whether plans are in store for some BAR activity or small claims, depending upon whether I want to deal with it. Mr. Carroll and Mr. McElwain have endured far more than I, which is quite unfortunate. In summary, the single star rating provided here is actually divided into four categories, as this experience is one for the record and probably the worst Ive ever had:1) policy of ordering parts prepaid (as though its AutoZone)2) endless array of excuses as to why no activity occurred3) inability to coordinate a tow properly (1/19/19 - 1/20/2019)4) nice guy for casual conversation and car talk- Ill give him that

I use RAS for all my cars (Corvette, Ranger Rover and BMW) and Julio has always done a professional and thorough repair or maintenance. He knows as much if not more, than the dealerships and makes honest suggestions without pushing the job. My BMW transmission service he performed, which the dealer would not recommend or perform, has prolonged the life of my car for many more miles to come.

One star is too many stars for this guy. Worst service ever I recommend you take your car elsewhere he will lie steel your money and possibly have your car for multiple years. Does not understand time management and does not keep his word and has no idea what a delivery day is and requires money up front before projects are complete. WARNING STAY AWAY he is a thief.Haha so much for a Better Business rating lol I hear they dropped you.

After a thorough and exhaustive search for an honest and reliable shop that actually had experience and knowledge of Porsche I found Revolution Autosport. Living and working in the Central Valley, its difficult enough to find auto enthusiasts and shops that really Love and appreciate a finely crafted German automobile. If your into American muscle cars there is no shortage of shops and enthusiasts, but for true performance and workmanship their are few German auto enthusiasts to be found. Julio (the owner of RAS) is the real deal. A meticulous, hard working, and detailed Porschephile. He treats your car with care and understanding and will always honor his work.Ive taken my Porsche to other places to have them quote me work and maintenance, but no one is as fair, thorough and knowledgeable as Julio. He gives you an honest assessment of work, and condition of your vehicle. He always gives me multiple options for costs, materials, and time. Hell give you the high end with all the best money can buy and hell give you the low end and all the variables in between. Hell help you decide what is best for you and your budget and he never pushes the extras. If you dont want it all done at once hes good with that and hes happy to have you come back when your ready. One of the best mechanics Ive ever had the pleasure of doing business with.If you need basic maintenance he can generally get you in and out in a day or two (remember hes not Jiffy Lube or some in-an-out service place). For other work it just depends on how busy he is and what you need done. If you want it done right you take it to him, if you want play on the roulette table with your baby take it some where else. The guy knows his German cars and he knows them well. He runs the best independent Porsche (German Auto) shop in the Central Valley.

I brought my 944 to Julio in early 2017 for an overheating issue. We agreed to do an upgrade on the oil cooler for which he quoted me a specific price on. He said it was plug and play and he had done several of these types of upgrades. After three weeks I learned it was not so plug and play and it would be $1700 more AND all of a sudden the fuel pump was out, throwout bearing was shot and I had a suspension issue - all in it would be over $9000. Mind you, the car got to the shop under its own power. Julio said he couldnt let the car go out the door unsafe and the work had to be done -or- I could just sign the car over to him and have the bill zerod out. The car was worth about $7000 so I did just that under the duress of the bill Julio quoted me. I reported the incident to the BAR and sued Julio a few months later. This was not the first BAR report or lawsuit against Julio in the past two years. Julio lost my lawsuit (case 18CESC00191) as well as another lawsuit (18CESC01368) this year and owes over $12,500 for both lawsuits which he claims through an Order of Examination he cannot pay. Through the same OX, under oath, Julio in fact claimed he was broke and overdrawn in his bank account. This makes me wonder how he can continue to pay things like insurance for his business. In addition, Revolution Autosport is no longer BBB accredited and Julio is no longer a member of the local Porsche Club chapter. All things to consider when your German car needs service here in Fresno
