Had appointment for 1130am. Show up 10mins early take care of all the office stuff. Sat until 1227pm before my vehicle was pulled in. When they said it would be done by 1230.Why do you even make appointments when you just work them in order?Thank you so much for making me late to my next appointment!

I had a slow leak in my tire while on a road trip through the area, and the Clive location of Discount Tire was SO helpful. They saw I had three kids in the car with me, so they got me right in, let us stay in the car as long as possible, and fixed the tire efficiently. They made the fix such a good experience while on vacation, thank you!

Blew a tire on the interstate and headed there right to the Clive location after getting my spare put on. They were able to help me right away. I needed a new tire (they showed and confirm what I anticipated - my tire could not be repaired) and they presented my options and I had the final say. Then they put it on for me.Maybe its a little pricey and there is some salesmanship to it but I am purchasing something from them so its expected. Overall, I did not have to wait too long and got what I needed. The salesperson was neutral and the techs were polite/friendly.I used to live by the Urbandale location and that location was fantastic and had great service. This Clive location helped me when I was in a pinch so Ill likely continue to use various Discount Tire locations.

Had a screw in my tire and got an appointment. Dropped it off a few minutes early and the got it right in. They got done quick and handed me the keys saying I was good to go. I had to confirm it 2 times to make sure but I didnt owe any money on the the repair. I didnt owe as it was part of one of their free services. Great crew, great customer service.

Best service! I called in to purchase a tire. The previous place told me they couldnt patch it up. They were able to order one that day and scheduled to have it put on the following morning. When I got there, they told me they can fix the tire free of cost instead of purchasing one!! Friendly staff.

I waited 2 1/2 hrs only to leave and find out they never fixed my tire. My husband called he was told they fixed the front tire the valve. It was the back tire that had the screw in it. They messed with my clock and knocked my gps unit down and broke a piece off. No I would not recommend this place.

Always make an appointment. Dont do walk-ins they say they take walk ins but youll be waiting for hours. Made the mistake today of making a walk in lol. Simple rotation took 3 hours. To the new drivers out there. ALWAYS MAKE AN APPOINTMENT.

Alright, Im impressed. Normally when you go to a shop that does anything car-related the friendliness and social skills are minimal and there are always surprise charges for everything. Discount Tire however did the job requested in the time allotted for the price that was advertised. That is a pretty rare feet. They were also able to get me a new tire pressure monitoring sensor for only $50 vs 120 at the dealership and all three, were well maintained and friendly.

I am not usually to write bad reviews but people need to know and be cautious. I paid for a set of 4 Toyo Open Country ATIII tires. When they installed they mounted a set of ATII (while still charged me for the ATIII) and quietly changed the final invoice. A few hours later when I noticed I called back and they told me that they have mentioned my ATIIIs were in back order nationwide. This is FALSE. If that were true they would have refunded the difference but they didnt. I ended up discarding my old tires. They say they will make it right. Will see. Will update this review if they indeed make it right.Update: in the end, could not get the ATIIIs. Got a discount on ATIIs.

Spent quite a bit here on new tires and getting service on them always takes hours. Within 30 days they were out of balance and I stopped at least 4 times to two different locations and each time they told me 2+ hour wait. Have a small nail now and every time Ive tried to get it repaired its over an hour wait. Need new tires? Theyll get you in and out in less than 30 minutes though. So yeah, service seems to stop after the sale. Wont be buying tires here again.

Friendly guys with cool cars. I came in for rear tires and they noticed my front tires are getting old too, despite having good tread depth. Will probably come back to get those replaced soon too.

They did a very good job with all of the tire related items. However in the garage when they are working theyre blaring rap music which is at least unprofessional and makes it very difficult to communicate

The best tire shop hands down. They fix my flats for free. They sold me tires for a good price. They take good care of all their customers. I can send my wife in there without any concerns of them trying to take advantage of her. Great honest place to buy tires.

Needed new tires for my commuter car. I price checked at several different places, and discount tire had the lowest price on 4 new tires. I bought my tires online, and they were in stock at discount tire. I was able to get an installation appointment at 9am the following morning. I showed up early, they got me right in, and in 20 minutes I was driving away with new tires on my car. I was amazed how quick and easy the process was, and the price was the best deal I could find anywhere.

They called me after I left and told me they forgot to put my tire key lock back. Admittedly, I forgot this and let three weeks go by before trying to get it back. When I did, they said they dont have it, and didnt seem to care too much. Now I have to pay Volkswagen $80 to take the locks off, plus the cost of two Ubers, and two days of missed work. Thanks Discount Tire!

I have purchased tires for 3 vehicles here. I asked for a quote and the sales associate told me my tires could be resold and promised a “buy-back” and I gave permission. Afterwards I reviewed my receipt only to find they CHARGED me to dispose of my tires. This after spending thousands for 12 tires on three vehicles.I implore you to find a better, more trustworthy company to do business with. Discount Tire has lost my trust and disappointed me terribly.

I have bought tires twice at this friendly store. Every time I was very happy with the level of service and the deal I got. I had two tires worn out much too fast because of faulty wheel alignment. These had to be replaced, but the very helpful clerk gave me a very generous discount because of my loss, even though this was not my fault. Such service, along with free balancing, also of the two tires remaining is good news for any customer.I have experienced earlier too that this store is very generous.

Had a wonderful experience patching up my tire! I dropped my child off at preschool and then realized my tire was low in pressure AGAIN. Stopped down the street at this location - didnt even realize they were going by appointments (silly me, Covid!) but they were able to get me in. Not much of a wait and they were very professional and thorough. I thought I would have to pay for a patch and they told me that it is one of their free services. Definitely will be back when it is time to change all 4 tires!

Great service. Weve had tires replaced on two cars here. Love our new tires, the interest free credit card, and the warranty. I definitely recommend the warranty. I got a mail in my tire after only 6 months and it was covered by my warranty. I did have to pay to add the warranty to the new tire though.

It speaks VOLUMES about the integrity of a company when an employee goes above and beyond to put the safety of a potential customer, who ultimately did not make a purchase, a priority above a sale.My father who was visiting from out of town arrived with a screw lodged in one of the his tires. Being a long time Discount Tire customer myself, I brought his vehicle in for a repair. The tire could not be repaired due to a liability issue with the tire having been compromised by a previous repair performed by a dealership. Although the rear tires were on the cusp of needing replacement with the fronts not too far behind them, we declined the purchase of a new set since the closest store nearest my fathers home was too far of a drive for regular service (rotate/balance). Discount tire recommended installing the spare tire in place of the bad tire to which I agreed. Upon arrival at the store to pick his car up, we were informed that the car had no spare tire (2017 Accord hybrids have NO spare tire - I was shocked but it is true! ). Furthermore to ensure the safety of my father and wife as they drove back home, of their own accord (no pun intended), they had installed an entry level tire in the place of the tire that had the damage.Discount Tire earned my loyalty and trust 15+ years ago. They continue to provide shining examples of why I keep returning for tires and service and why I highly recommend them.Discount Tire, you guys rock!

They checked each tire and adjusted air pressure on all tires, including the spare, and re-torqued each wheel. Complete Customer Service oriented, and they didnt charge me for the repair. They were able to patch my tire on a busy day with NO APPOINTMENT in a little over an hour for FREE! Bryan, the assistant manager, was great to work with. He provided quotes for comparable tires for when Im ready for new ones. No pressure sales tactics, very knowledgeable with great service. I will definitely buy my tires from them when the time comes.

Ive never left a Discount Tire location disappointed. Definitely recommend the purchasing the additional road hazard insurance. Occasionally they have additional mail in rebates on select tires, like Memorial Day weekend, so be in the lookout. Ive recommended them to multiple people.

I went to the store because I was having problems with two tires and told him I thought that both had punctures. We have been driving down a lot of gravel roads during the spring.The mechanic said he couldn’t see any punctures, and that it was actually a problem with one of the wheels which needed to be replaced. They would not quote me a price to replace one wheel, but insisted I replace all four. And then they said while they were at it, the tires had low tread so I should replace the tires as well as the wheels.I took the car to a different mechanic for a second opinion. He did a test with soapy water and said two of the tires actually had punctures and the wheels were fine.

Winter storm in Des Moines alignment was off, as a regular customer they gave me a complimentary alignment and it was like driving a brand new car. Charlie and staff over there are amazing guys. If you need any work done one your tires when it comes to do oration alignment or replacement, they are second to none!

Very good staff, excellent turn around time, got 4 new tires in under 30 minutes, car rides much smoother than it did before. Weston, Carl and Jake were very helpful and they told me that they do free flat repairs and air checks as well as free rotations. Would definitely recommend this store!

Kinda expensive.

When I bought my new set of tires last year the service was great. But it seems that every time that I make an appointment for a rotation even if I show up early, my car sits for a half hour before it even gets touched. The only reason I come back is because it’s free to rotate the tires, but I’m better off just paying the Mazda dealership to do it because they’ll have the oil changed and tires rotated in a half hour and I’ll be on my way. I’ll be buying my next set elsewhere.

So far I have had a great experience with them and Anthony helped me and he was very well-informed let me know all of my options I discussed a few things with him and he was very open to listening to me and taking my opinion on what I wanted to do but was willing to help me in any way he could to get done what needed to be done for my car! They also have a financing system which comes in hand for people who are struggling! Would recommend!

This place is absolutely amazing and I highly recommend them! The associates work hard to get you great deals on tires in YOUR price range (if available), theyre VERY fast in getting new tires put on while you wait (I had new tires put on in less than 30 minutes once I got them picked out with much assistance from their associate helping me with quotes for multiple brands, etc), and everyone is incredibly friendly! They even offer lifetime warranties for the stated tire mileage from the manufacturer, will rotate your tires for free every 6,000 miles, and even check your tire pressure if you just stop in and theyll go ahead and top it off if needed! I am very impressed! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

They jack their prices up within 3 days but will “price match” their own website as we had a screenshot proving the tires were cheaper 3 days prior (same price as Walmart.com) . We had to pay for everything in advance and they set up an appointment to put them on for 3 days after buying them only to find out that they take 5 days to get in) .So long story short our appointment is now scheduled a week to the day after we were given our original appointment date ( holiday was another excuse ) .The only way they will make it right is by selling us more expensive tires (we pay the difference) or refund the money that we paid in advance .Also Walmart’s website says they can have the tires in sooner yet the person working the phone at discount tire argued with me even when I pulled up delivery date from Walmart’s website.Very unprofessional business and will never take our vehicles to them again after this episode .We do roadside rescue and will be sure to advise our customers from going to them for tires also
