Clean and inviting. Very friendly owner. Huge assortment of food, but also other trinkets and pretty things. Everything is organized and very reasonably priced. I went in to buy henna and left with that and more!

Namaste Supermarket is always a lovely place to buy great foods and other household products that are hard to find elsewhere. The frozen paneer cubes are a real gem to find!! Nice big store. Looking forward to an Indian Restaurant there again too.

Priciest store in the Des Moines metro. Everything is overpriced and most of them are not up-to date.

Look at the dates before buying. A very good majority of the products are expired and a lot of them don’t even have dates. I would look elsewhere if you don’t want to buy products expired 6-7 months ago.

As other customers have mentioned, a lot of the products are expired. There are now better Indian grocery stores in Des Moines which have more, better and fresher products. This is especially relevant during the pandemic.

Very nice place to get indian groceries. They keep indian masalas from different brands including deep and everest. Even prices are reasonable.

The store is clean, and the staff is always pleasant. There is always some unique stuff in here, and I always come out with more than I came in for.I love that I can get spices here for pretty cheap - for instance I got a bag of turmeric for less than $2 - I cant recall the ounces but it is a good sized bag.They also have cookies that are like oreos that are called Happy Happy and theyve changed my life... so effing good!

Overpriced items that are cheaper to order online yourself for half the price. Items expire and sit on the shelf in hopes it will still sell. Avoid, there are other ethnic grocers that are better.

Very large selection. Good food and beauty items. Reasonably priced and the workers were nice. Lots of parking, or wasnt crowded. You can find items here you cant find at other places. I bought all kinds of oils for my hair and body, like henna oil, black seed oil, and others that are good for ethnically diverse individuals.

Have a good collection of Indian Groceries. Store also have utensils, traditional dresses and other utility items.

So as far as Indian grocery stores go, this one has a fairly good selection for the Des Moines area; however, the last two times I have been there, they have not opened on time. I do not understand why the list their opening time at 10 AM if they do not have an employee even showing up until 10:15 or later.

I recently came to know about this store. Oh My God ! I missed this store for a long time. It is a great, biggest Indian store in Iowa with lot of variety in Groceries and Frozen and a lot more things. I found so many things which I did not find in other Groceries Store in Iowa and prices are very reasonable. Best customer service. I am surprised to see this store

If you are in need of spices, flours, grains, etc. this is the place to go. Staff are very helpful. A fun place to go is looking for an out of the mainstream grocery store.

This place is worse at customer service. I have been a customer for 3years and not one day they asked me if i need help or even say hello or thank you. Its like every time i get my groceries the lady in the counter who is always on the phone gets upset and try to rush me out the door. She rings up my shopping and throws them in the bag rudely and then she gets back to her cell phone conversation. Sometimes i wonder if shes rude to other customers who are white, indian, hispanic like she does to me??? I will never set my foot there again.

Very small market, not the largest selection food wise. The authentic indian feel of the store is great and they also sell great tapestries, hand made traditional indian vlothing, bags, and jewelry. They sell pipes and inscents and also henna ink. A great stop for those interested in the indian culture or hippy look.

Stocks more of stuff for their Indian customers. They have lot of vegetables used by Indians - bottle gourd, Turai, Bitter gourd. They also have Indian clothes for sale. Also materials used for prayers by Indians.

These guys charge 300%-500% for small items compare to other Indian stores. One example tongue cleaner, which is available at $1.5 at other Indian store, these guys charged be $5. Cannot forgot the feeling of being cheated.

I live in West des Moines and my friend recommend me to go to Namaste India. Upon going, I found a variety of selection for grocery and indian items. Great customer service, recommend to anyone looking for an Indian store in Iowa! Also it is the largest indian grocery store in Iowa.

I was unaware about this store until a few days back.One day while passing through the University Avenue i came across this store.They have an amazing collection of Indian Groceries(Rice, Spices, Kitchenware, Frozen Food Etc),Handicrafts etc and everything else that you usually dont find in a typical Indian Store.I would definitely say that this is the best Indian Store in Des Moines Area.
