As much as it pains me to write this post, I believe that customers should know who they are dealing with when they frequent a local establishment. The owner of this store, Maria Cardillo, is someone that I have known for many years, though not in a friendship capacity. During a recent FB discussion,( I know, uggh) Maria unfortunately decided that my race was an acceptable line of attack in an otherwise race-free discussion. In our present climate, I will no longer tolerate nor allow my race to be targeted by those who feel emboldened to do so. Respecting others is a fundamental part of doing business, especially as a business owner. When I look someone in the eyes and hand them my hard earned money I expect them to at least respect me for honoring them with my business. I can not in good faith do this at this business and will not stay silent for others to be misinformed of her true feelings. Ive attached a screenshot of exactly what was said by her. May God erase her hatred and may she find peace.
