In one word: Delicious! Many wonderful sandwiches to choose from. I would give five stars except I like french fries with my meal which are not on the menu. Still, probably the best selection of specialty sandwiches in Clinton. Try it. You wont regret it!

First time there. Menu has so many interesting items, it was hard to choose.. Had a salad and a sandwich. Was delicious! A nice change from the usual hamburger & fries.

My friend and I met in Clinton and shared a truly delightful lunch at Ben Franklin Bistro! My friend had the Abigail Adams salad and I had the Benedict Arnold (chicken salad with small salad). The food was simply delicious and arrived very quickly. We topped off our meals with a slice of homemade peanut butter pie, which was melt-in-your-mouth, cant-believe-its-this-tasty goodness.The Bistro is located on the town square in a beautiful old building over 100 years old. It was built as the Ben Franklin Five and Dime (hence the name) and the Bistro has kept the original tin ceilings and hardwood floors, all lovingly preserved. The high ceilings give the space an open yet intimate feel, perfect for dining.The best part of our experience was our server, Sherry. She was friendly and efficient, and made sure we enjoyed our lunch. She even gave us the ingredients for the fabulous peanut butter pie! After our meal she told us a bit about the history of the building and its current owners. She was extremely hospitable; my friend and I hadnt seen each other in many months, so we lingered at our table after our meal was over, chatting and catching up. We never felt rushed or solicited to leave.For a marvelous lunch and meeting place, I highly recommend the Ben Franklin Bistro. And you cant beat the peanut butter pie!

I ordered the John Henry sandwich. It was very tasty, fresh and filling. Good service, and decent prices.

Really nice place. Food was really good and it is a place that has a nostalgic feel. Prices are decent and we had a really good waitress. IfnI had any complaints it would be the chairs around the tables...kind of a hodge podge and not really as comfortable as I would like. However, the experience was wonderful.

Great little hole in the wall. The staff were so friendly, the food delicious, and quite reasonably priced. Around the cafe are a bunch of antiques for sale which were interesting to peruse while waiting for food. Do not forget to grab a cookie! Hands down, they have the best chocolate chip cookies I ever had the pleasure to eat.

Loved this bistro. Wonderful atmosphere and staff. Server kept the coffee coming and their over medium eggs were perfect.

I missed lunch with shortened hours due to Covid. So I cant rate on that. But customer service was on par. Nice, helpful, and informative.The coffee: So good! Better than Starbucks by far.Desserts: No gluten free options.Ice cream: pretty good selection to choose from. But didnt get any, so no opinions there.I will be back!

Great food at reasonable prices and located in downtown. I really appreciate that they arent a chain store and take pride in the quality of their food and drinks. I remember coming here as a child and am glad to see they are still in business! Ive never had anything here that I wouldnt recommend. Hope you enjoy as well as I have!

Wife got cold pancakes, butter wouldnt even melt on them, I got a very bland, but hot at least, breakfast burrito. Not worth the money at all. Neat old town square though.

Great little family owned restaurant. The food and service was outstanding. I needed space to get some work done over lunch and was able to spread out on a table and they let me work. Enjoyed a waygu bacon cheese burger it was awesome!

Great $6.25 breakfast and average coffee. My friend and I were passing through Clinton and checked trip advisor for a local breakfast place. We picked this place and loved the breakfast. I had 3 eggs with homemade toast, hash browns and bacon. My friend had their breakfast burrito. Both were great. We like dark roast coffee, but were disappointed with their mediocre restaurant coffee. I’d definitely go back, but would add an espresso to my coffee! Neat old building too.

Great sandwiches and peanut butter pie was amazing. Waitress was great. Drove 6 plus hours and glad we found it for lunch.Thanks again and the pickles were delicious.

Sorry but when you have on your menu that breakfast ends at 1030 and your kitchen manager said her kitchen is set up for breakfast and we were wanting lunch.....we were sooooo looking forward to eating there and then this happened.

From out of town. I was overly satisfied with the breakfast. It was suprisingly ordinary, but was a perfect meal for the start of the day. It was well balanced and excellent in taste. For a small time restaraunt, it is very good.The only criticism I can make is the organization of the staff. They were nice and very pleasant, but is obvious they are not like a chain of restaraunts. To each his own, but this place was overall very good

Me and my boyfriend came here for breakfast one morning. Havent had a chance to go back but... he said their breakfast burrito was the best he has ever had! Very friendly and very good food. Very clean also!!!

My husband and I eat here a lot. It’s a cute and quaint shop with wonderful food. The prices are great! We’ve come for breakfast and lunch and never have been disappointed. The service is wonderful. It’s one of our favorite places to go. I love supporting local business and the ladies here make it such a pleasant experience.

We stopped here on our way back to KC, from Branson. The service was awesome, and the food was great. Next time we head through Clinton, we will hit up this place again.

The food is very good. But the atmosphere was not so great. I took someone who had never been before with me and the tables were all dirty. I asked for a towel to wipe down the table and was moved to another dirty table. My friend was not impressed which is a shame ad the food is very good.

We have loved Ben Franklin food and coffee for years. Very good quality and most scratch made. We had not been there in maybe 2 years and stopped in today for lunch. I was so excited to get my beloved quiche. I was unable to eat even half of it. The crust was not the normal flaky pie crust but a very bready thick bed that held very little egg custard center which was was dry. Not even a former shell of what they used to make. When I asked the waitress about it she stated that it might be the flour but it was a different recipe than when I had been there before.My daughters sandwich was also not the same it was before. She only managed to eat half. I had no drink she had tea and we both had a peice of dessert to the tune of $30!! Never again. I dont know what has happened but we wont be going back.And no longer the place for neat coffees and a flavor of the day. Dark roast only today.We were just so disappointed and out that much money for a simple lunchI had to take my daughter to sonic to get something to est as she was hungry.

Very limited breakfast menu. Inside was dark and will be cool in the winter. Food was good and we enjoyed seeing the town square. Owners were very polite and attentive.

Nice small business. Great service, the waitress was very good.My breakfast wasnt great. The original bacon was burned black. Asked then to redo it and the new bacon was very wiggly, didnt feel safe to eat. Hashbrowns werent great. At least the price wasnt terrible.Id come back for coffee but not breakfast.

The cutest restaurant to eat at on the historic down town Clinton square! You can even browse the antiques throughout the building while waiting on your meal. Right when you walk in your greeting with a friendly smile! Service and the food is on point. 👌This is the must see while visiting Clinton Missouri.

Were so happy we found this charming little place via Google maps in downtown Clinton. The variety was great! They have Turkey and cheese and pb&j, my kids favorites. My husband had a roast beef and cheddar on Naan and I had chicken salad on sourdough with pasta salad. Perfect lunch! 🤤

Really wanted to try this place. I stood at the hostess area where it said lease wait to be seated for over ten minutes. I saw a few people eating and heard workers talking in the back. No one ever came to seat me so I left.

I went for a late breakfast. Coffee is good but the scones were extremely undercooked. The seating is open but the staff behind the bar spent more time talking to her friends than taking care of the customers in the dining room.
