This Collision repair location was referred by a co-worker and I truly wanted to like it because of what was said to me about it. I took my BMW there for repair of the front bumper due to a hit and run while it was parked. They had my vehicle for over a month and at the end said they could not repair the damage! They got into a dispute with my insurance company and at the end, I didn’t get the vehicle repaired to how it was before the accident! They claimed the vehicle had “Prior damage” so the insurance would now not cover it. Totally unprofessional, and now I have a vehicle with damage. Totally unreal! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE EVER!!!!

I had body work done on my vehicle at Caliber Collision. I dropped my vehicle off on a Monday and had it back by Wednesday. They did an excellent job and kept me informed of their progress every step of the way. Id recommend Caliber Collision to anyone who has body damage to their vehicle, they do an amazing job! And, they have prompt, knowledgeable, professional, and courteous staff members! Oh BTW, they even cleaned my vehicle inside and out (also Armor Alled my tires), that was an unexpected pleasure!!!

I have had 2 traffic collisions in 2 years and both time, Caliber Collision on Branch Avenue performed professionally and correctly the first time. Very clean location with a polite and professional staff that truly cares about the Customer. I was put at ease from the beginning and their work repairing the Side mirror and Wheel rim for a 2020 Mercedes SUV was excellent. They use genuine parts and the Electrical work is done professionally by ProTech. Very impressed with the Delivery as my SUV was washed and looked like it was detailed inside out as well.

1 entire month (and counting) to replace and paint a front bumper on a 2008 Honda Accord. Ben, the “service advisor” (!) has lied repeatedly about parts delays. He ordered the wrong parts initially because he wrote down the wrong VIN and ordered the parts for a 2014 (?) Accord, but told me that he’d overnighted the correct parts once he realized his mistake and that they had all arrived. Now he’s back to lying again, says three parts arrived wrong. Called and told my wife the parts still haven’t arrived for her 2012 (?) Accord. You’ll notice that’s three (3) different model years in my review, but we only own a 2008 Accord. More delays due to incompetence. But wait, there’s more! We asked for an estimate to paint the car while it’s there at Caliber. This guy actually called my wife and gave us a $12,000 estimate. When I called and demanded an explanation of the estimate, he played dumb and said it’s normally only $5,000 and that he’s not sure how he arrived at the $12,000 quote.UPDATEI went to Caliber on Friday 8/20 and met directly with the manager, Mr. Joseph. He immediately took charge of the ordering of parts, and also walked me through the shop to see the status of the car. He personally picked up needed parts for my wife’s car and overnighted the ones which weren’t in stock. He also called me and/or texted me with real time updates on the progress of the parts and repairs. The work was completed and the car was ready (and picked up) on Monday 8/23. The car’s battery apparently was weak and Mr. Joseph replaced the car battery as a goodwill gesture considering the experience we’d had with the service advisor. This is my public “thank you” to Mr. Joseph and his mechanic for getting things handled so well after things got off to such a bad start. To be fair, the mishaps were not his doing, and he assured me that he had addressed the matter(s) with his employee so that these types of errors should never happen again. In short: It ain’t how you start, but it’s how you finish. 👍🏽

It’s been over a month since I had my accident and I still have not gotten my vehicle back as of yet. And on top of that caliber collision refuse to pay for my rental so I’m stuck with a rental car that I can’t afford and my car still hasn’t been completed yet! My car only need a bumper and few minor repairs it should not take over a month to fix my vehicle. They had my car so long I reached my limit on my insurance and they won’t pay for my rental car anymore. I’m beyond upset!!!!!!!

WORST SHOP IN TOWN. They have had our car for MULTIPLE MONTHS now. They promise us every week that it will be done soon, but clearly they are always wrong. They discover new problems with the car every other day... like why not just inspect it entirely when it first comes into the shop? This has to be the worst customer service I have ever seen....And let me guess, someone is going to respond to this review and say, thank you for reaching out to Caliber Collision. We’re sorry to hear about your recent experience at one of our locations. Can you please email us at [email protected] why would I email you? We already talk to them over the phone and by email basically every day and the issue is only getting worse. If anyone is considering this place and needs me to verify (with proof) just how awful this experience has been, just respond here and Ill send you all the info you need. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE.

I waited to see if my complaints who be addressed, as of now I am not happy at all with the repairs to my suv. I let Alex know there was a knocking sound in the we. It was concluded that the spare tire bracket bolt was bent and1 would be ordered (no word on that). I removed the spare and just to try and eliminate the clunking sound (still there). I told Alex the dome light were no longer working. It was suggested I buy new bulbs at $8.00 a piece I bought them. Still don’t work.I didn’t have a clunking sound prior to the accident and my dome lights worked prior. I did expect it to at least be as good as it was prior, but it’s not. I would appreciate it if you would repair my vehicle so I can drive it confidently.

DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE OR LET GEICO BRING YOUR CAR HERE!!! - Our car has been in the shop here for 10 weeks (thats 2.5 months, I know that sounds like exaggeration, but trust me its not). Our car was hit by a speeding driver, but we were deemed to be at fault (but thats beside the point). Geico brought the car here and promised a speedy fix. After 10 weeks, the car is still there. Caliber has called us 8 different times to say, it will be ready next week. They have obviously been wrong all 8 times, which is making it hard to plan anything requiring a car..... After complaining on a biweekly basis to both Geico and Caliber for two months, Caliber finally offered to pay for a 1-week rental car for us. That would have been a nice gesture if they had only wasted 1 week of our time. Do not bring your car here unless youre cool with getting it back in a year or two.

I recently purchased my first classic car; a 1969 Chevy Chevelle. Far from perfect I had to search for a auto restoration business that could repair what I felt was wrong with the car. After several searches and phone calls I decided to have LP Auto Restorations complete the repairs on my vehicle. The customer service that Les and the entire staff provided me was more than I could have ever hoped for. Not only did Les identify issues that I had missed on the car, he provided a 100% accurate and fair estimate which is difficult to do when you dont know what is lurking under those body panels. Also LP gave me a estimated date of completion and delivered my car on the day promised. I have my baby back and I couldnt be more please. The entire staff at LP auto restorations treated me more like a friend than a customer and I would not hesitate to take my next project back to them. Great Job!

Car repair is fine and completed 1 day early. 4 to 5 stars on that. I wasnt crazy about customer service. When I came for my estimate appt, I realized there was no point to having a reserved time. I still waited around a fair amount of time. When I came to get the finished car, I felt more like an interruption to the lady at the desk than a customer. Instead of telling me the process (e.g., Ill get a porter to bring your car around. Then so-and-so will review the repair with you, and if the repair is acceptable, we will then process the payment.), she called the porter who brought the car around and I offered to pay the balance. Then she said it has to be inspected. So I inspected the car. Then she said so-and-so is supposed to be there when you inspect the car. I was ready to go and said, I was ok with the repairs, but the forms that I was being asked to sign had blanks so she called so-and-so. He didnt respond and I continued to wait. I filled in the form and left. I guess the quality of the repair is the most important thing. On another day, I might have had more tolerance for customer service.

Based on my experience as a customer, I do not recommend L&P Auto Restoration. In Aug, 2012, L&P Auto Restoration agreed to restore my 1979 Dodge Midnite Express for $22,000 (Plus $5000 to replace the engine). After numerous false promises, they eventually returned my truck in Aug 2017, total cost was $34,000. Les requested additional funds during the restoration process. Les failed to inform me of increased costs until I requested the information.Project management was abysmal. Les promised to have the truck done in May 2015, May 2016 and May 2017…. the first year they accomplished practically nothing. The second year they made minimal progress. The third year they delivered a substandard product. Communication was nil, and didn’t convey actual status of the project. Sequencing of work made little or no sense. For example, L&P told me they would send the transmission out to be rebuilt for $1300. Early in the process they requested funds to cover the work. In the spring of 2017, they took the transmission out of the truck (the second time) and sent it out to be rebuilt. The truck was never a priority. The truck was completely disassembled, bead blasted and painted. The final paint job has orange peel on potions of the bed. The alignment of body parts is marginal. There are waves in the hood. The interior of the passenger door was scratched during reassembly.Even though the truck was completely disassembled, L&P failed to replace worn out items and their workmanship was marginal. A condensed list of issues follows. When the truck was delivered, the gear box was held on by one loose bolt. I couldn’t believe it either…so I took pictures. The truck was actually dangerous and should never have been driven. The gear box, steering column and speedometer were worn out and required rebuilds – which were not identified/corrected by L&P. The screws holding on the NOS grill fell out of their holes…as they oversized the holes. The wiring was pieced together; there was no soldering or connectors, just electrical tape. Instead of using a long strip of wire to cover long distances, multiple pieces were sliced together. The coil springs were not properly seated or indexed, hence the truck leaned to the left approximately 2 inches. The suspension was reassembled with damaged/bent parts. Even though I was charged for an alignment, there was no way to align the vehicle with the damaged suspension. The new battery failed to hold a charge as the A/C blower and radio were hot wired to the wrong side of the worn-out ignition switch. The new radio antenna’s lead was broken so the C/B radio failed to work. The buddy bracket, which holds the center seat in place, was not reinstalled or returned. The new speedometer cable was damaged during assembly, so the speedometer failed to work. The DODGE hood emblem was not re-installed, the holes were closed with body putty, but were obvious and looked terrible.L&P failed to return parts they removed/replaced. Most notably, the intake manifold and Edelbrock carburetor from the old motor. It took over five months and in excess of $5000 to fix L&P’s marginal work.

Review №58

Well, I feel bad writing this review and sorry it is so long. I enjoyed talking to the owner and staff and from the cars I have seen at the shop, they do amazing work, but I sure had the worst experience with them. Not sure why? First of all they had the vehicle outside in the elements for about 2 years. I have a pretty rare 1950s vehicle with a nice paint job so I wasnt happy about that. After about a year at their shop, mid 2014, they hadnt started on the transmission problem so I had to pay for towing to get the transmission repaired elsewhere. After having the transmission rebuilt, I took the vehicle back to L&P in early 2015. They were supposed to do many upgrades and repairs but as of last month, 1 year and 6 months later!!, they had only done about 20% of the work. Take note that I had already paid them over $7300. I finally told them that I would be picking the car up early September, 2016 and to have it running so that I can drive home, whether or not any additional work was finished. They then began rushing, trying to finish all the work in a month and as expected, only finished 50% of what we had planned. They didnt install power steering, they didnt put a new steering wheel nor steering column, the horn button was screwed onto the inside of the body, just inside the driver’s door, like a doorbell, and now, 3 days later it doesnt work. The gas gauge is not working either after 3 days, the turn signals dont function properly, (I have to hold the lever in place to keep them blinking), I bought a wiring harness, one that they recommended, and they charged me for it on the last invoice. When I told them that I purchased the harness and requested a credit of $859.38, they said the one that I had purchased ($579.95) was not the correct one (remember it was recommended) and it was fried during installation so they “tossed it” and purchased a new one which they charged me for, sooo I just paid $1439.33 for a (2) “wiring harness” not including labor! They should have told me this when it was “fried”!!! Hmmmmm? Sounds fishy?!!!!Then as we were reviewing the last invoice, they had charged me for the disc brake kit which I had purchased so they credited me $625 bringing the final balance down to about half. The owner was not happy and said “We need to be paid for the parts we purchased” which I really didn’t know what that meant since I was more than happy to pay him for his purchases and work! He said “well, it is what it is” and walked away. The end to the Saga, 3 days later the thermostat housing broke off because it was rusted through and all the coolant that came out of the motor was full of rust. A local shell station is now installing a new housing, coolant flush and new coolant.Lastly, I have a 1950’s Cadi that I want to restore and when I mentioning it to the one of the team mechanics on my way out the door, he winced and said that he had “a lot to catch up on already” which I took as “we don’t have any more time for your business”.From my experience I will have to give L&P a 1 star. Sorry L&P and good luck with your new shop.
