I went guitar shopping one Saturday and must have hit almost all of the music shops in the Akron/Canton/Cleveland area. Guitar Riot is without a doubt a cut above. The selection is impressive, especially for more discerning players who might be looking for higher-end models theyre not likely to find on the rack at the local ma-and-pa place or national chain. The staff was more than accommodating, giving me a couple of extra perks with my purchase that I would not have even thought to ask for. Friends have highly recommended Guitar Riot to me in the past, and my experience surpassed even the high praise Id already heard about the shop. Very impressive.

Really solid selection of high-end and affordable guitars and equipment. They also carry Reverend. Probably more pedals than Ive seen at any other shop. Super helpful and friendly staff. Check them out instead of GC or SA.

I just received my dream guitar. A Gibson Les Paul 60th Anniversary 1959 and LEFT HANDED! Royal Teaburst. Gorgeous. Brent Ferguson and the team at Guitar Riot shipped this guitar to me in Florida. Guitar Riot was incredible to work with, answered all my questions, sent photos and the guitar arrived today. Spectacular guitar and experience!

Really great experience. Didnt end up purchasing (I radically overestimated my budget) but professional, orderly, and courteous. Thats not always a given with instrument stores.

Great experience purchasing a new Martin CEO 7. The owner, Brent, was easy to work with, very cooperative and fair in price. Guitar Riot and Brent have my highest recommendation.

Im a beginner guitar player. However, my inexpensive acoustic was not doing it for me anymore. Ive watched tons of videos online and visited another guitar store a few times. Listening to them online I always chose a Martin over a Taylors. But at the other store, the Martins were almost impossible to play. I play finger style and my fingers were not strong enough to press the strings down to hear the true sound. The gentleman at guitar riot explained to me that all they did was adjust the neck. Perhaps its my inexperience with guitars, maybe I just have really weak hands. But, Guitar Riot adjusts their guitars so they play well. The one I loved was the one I took home. They take the time to sit and talk with you about what you want in your gear. Their prices are great. Their inventory is great. Taylor makes a great guitar but the shimmery top end is not for me. If you want to try a Martin, go to guitar riot. You will be glad you did!

The owner and employees of the store are really good guys that are pretty knowledgeable about the equipment they have available. I believe they only stock the store with equipment they personally believe to be great...no beginner grade instruments or budget effects. When you get there, the only way to be let in is to ring the buildings door bell. Dont let that deter you!

I have to start by reminding you of this: If youre in the market for what Guitar Riot sells, dont just go to Sweetwater or another big box online retailer. Buy whatever you can from Guitar Riot either on their website or in their physical store. This place is special and we cant let places like this die.To say were lucky to have Guitar Riot in our city is the understatement of the year. They carefully curate a selection of rare and ultra high quality Boutique and vintage amps, electric guitars, acoustic guitars and other gear. Not to mention, theyre always incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating. I bought my Reverend guitar, Friedman overdrive pedal and Friedman vintage 2x12 Cabinet from them and the prices were more than fair and the experiences were awesome. They have a strong online presence as well, which probably affords them the ability to maintain their beautiful physical storefront. Given the diminishing brick-and-mortar retail industry as a whole, having a comprehensive presence is crucial when youre selling high end specialty products.Bottom line is, support this place and all other small businesses wherever possible :)

Knowledgeable friendly staff, and of course, they sell really nice things that you cant find in your typical music store, such as hi-end guitars, pedals & boutique amplifiers. In Ohio, the only other store like this that Im aware of (specializing in high-end products) is in the Cincinnati area.

Great place to shop for high end gear !!!Went over looking for an amp.. Boy did I find one 2 hours later. They have a sound proof room and Tim was more than glad to keep them coming till I found the RIGHT AMP, which was the first one I tried out..Dirty Shirley mini by Friedman 20 watt mind blower... Dont know why they call this monster mini when I cant take the volume over 3 for the Classic Rock sound I was looking for.. This amp has a great sound even at lower volume. Took this bad girl to band practice and what a screamer !!!The boys were impressed ...If your playing music buy something good dont wait !!!Thanks Tim
