Nice and clean. Great selection

Overall I love looking through the gift shop at the end of a walk through the zoo. I could not say this today because I found a book inside with a quote from Greta Thunberg. Disappointed in the zoo for that. I love the little things in the shop and I wish there were more animals to choose from.

The zoo and exhibits are quite stunning. Some of the animal enclosures are so wonderfully designed that its worth going out of your way just to see them. The reason for the one star rating is that this zoo just recently sued another zoo in a different state for hosting a lantern festival. The cleavland zoo apparently thinks they own the trademark on lantern festivals, even though they have been happening for thousands of years before this zoos existance.

We went to the Asian Lantern Festival. It was at night and the animals were much more active than day time. There were so many babies! 💗 The staff was so so nice, and the lanterns with the ambiance of the music made for an amazing evening. There was a live show inspired by Asian customs, such as a foot juggler and a contortionist. Really cool. I hope they do this every year.

Cool place to escape to. As one might expect, the merchandise is a bit pricey. But, lets face it, where else can you buy that type of merchandise? Awesome place just the price of food and drinks are very pricey

My wife and I travel to various zoos and aquariums and this one was definitely unique. There was quaint, well decorate buildings to add to the experience, the geological setup of the park was beautiful, even featuring a natural ravine in the park that makes it feel very outdoorsy. Especially since they did this in the midst of COVID-19 and the craziness it entails, this zoo performed above and beyond the call of duty. Animals were active and well maintained, staff was helpful and present (while 6 ft away), they made sure we had information about the animals and the experience was awesome.

Great time ,great animals but pricey

The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo was a blast. They have all kinds of animals ranging from the classic lions, tigers, and bears. To a massive three layer rainforest inclosure with kamin crocodiles, poisonus dart frogs, and crazy insects. They even have a system of tubing running along the walls of the bottom layer for leaf cutter ants to run threw and show off there stuff. If your not feeling up to walking all day, but still want to enjoy the park. Then you can hop on the train or bus trolly that run to every inch of the park. Fun for the whole family, and reasonable prices. Get the all expenses pass, its worth it.

The zoo is always an amazing time. If you are a member you save 10% at the gift shop. There is always a sale. You are given a chance at time of purchase to round your purchase up to donate to animal conservation.

Wasnt worth the price of admission a lot of places were closed because of the Coronavirus or the animals were not in their habitats

Im a big fan of Cleveland MetroParks Zoo, but... the gift shop is a complete ripoff! As it is at most zoos and amusement parks, so nothing personal.

The animals are great

Great variety! Something for everyone! Stuffed animals, clothing, jewelry, STEM games and toys, food, smart toys, books, mugs, just too much to list! They have a big inventory in this large gift shop. Prices are not outrageous for a gift shop. A kid with just a couple of bucks can find something or if you want to spend more than there lots of special items. We bought sharp looking tees, lovely bracelets, and chocolate covered bugs for snacking! I wish I had bought the cool lighting dome that my granddaughter was eyeing; it would have made a great birthday gift. If you want to shop, I recommend the zoo gift shop!

Been going to this zoo for many times. Theres always new things to see and its never dull! Its kept very clean. For any event I advise to get there extra early to find parking.

Nice. A bit expensive unless you find something on sale or they are running a special. A couple of years ago I was able to get a really nice stuffed tiger for $20.00 and all I had to do was but a 99 cent postcard. At the time they were running a sale where you could buy one of 3 big stuffed animals for just $20.00 with any purchase. They dont have it now. I hope they do it again some day. They do have fun stuff if you are on a budget. For me I spend 51 cents and press a penny. That is always fun. They are fun to collect.

My kids love the zoo. We always have a great time when we go. There are so many things to do and a variety of critters to see. Definitely worth taking the time to make memories

Nice selection of merchandise, fairly priced. My not-quite-two-year-old picked out a nice stuffed cheetah that she has been carrying around for several days now. Happy with the purchase!

Great gift shop but I wish theyd lower the price of that giant plush tiger.

Went for Mothers Day. It was nice to get in for free but I wish theyd had some fun activities for the kids to do. Like making a card/gift.We had so much fun though and the weather held out for us too! The layout of the zoo is a little confusing and I never found a map at all. I expected there to be map stations like in a mall or theme park but I didnt see any.Being able to feed the giraffes and pet the goats were amazing though! And its well worth the price! ❤️

Awesome staff, great selection. Prices are a little up there, but the purchases help with conservation. Staff helped navigate us through the sale items and find what we were looking for well within our price range

Great place. New Asia section is nice. Baby snow leopards are adorable. Tiger passage is fantastic. Love this zoo.

The prices are a little out of hand but I guess thats what you should expect for a zoo . its really nostalgic, reminds me of being so happy to go inside and get a new hanging monkey every year ! they always seem to keep up with the latest trends and whatnot , while also keeping the old school toys we were used to as kids . really love this place despite the prices

I still love this place. Its not the best zoo ever, but its a lot of fun and always worth going with the kids.

Feeding the giraffes was awesome and the camel ride was quite the experience. I would definitely recommend a day visit here!

We’ve been a yearly member of the Cleveland Zoo for 15 years. We absolutely love coming here all year round. Our kids love this zoo!

There is a large assortment of animals and is very clean. I do feel bad about the small enclosures. They do try to have environmental enrichment for the animals but it is not sufficient unfortunately. The large cats pace almost constantly. The apes and monkeys are bored and often seem distressed with the behavior of the children and some adults that visit their enclosures. While I understand many of these animals may only exist in zoo in the future it would be better for them to have more space and enclosures that more closely matched their natural environment. It is great that they are kept clean, well fed and in healthy conditions. I also think it is great for kids and adults to go and fall in love with these amazing creatures and learn how to help save them and their environments.

Very expensive but lots of options including diapers. They have amazing smelling soaps. Candy, shirts, coffee cups, stuffed animals and much more

I bought bags made out of recycled plastic bottles. The bags are cute and washable!! Only 2 dollars!!

Has air conditioning. Lots of plushies and tshirts themed off of the animals they have at the zoo. Would stop in for an animal plush for my son.

Happy animals here...kids will love this zoo...very clean...plan on 4 hours so you dont miss anything! Staff is amazing...good food choices which are not expensive like pizza hut..mcdonalds ect...

Very clean but the zoo is hilly and hard to walk. They do have trams but there are usually lines waiting for them. A little on tne small side for a zoo, but well kept and animals all look healthy.

A nice zoo with up close encounters nice parking areas and plenty of food courts. There map needs some work though

Has exactly the same mer h every other gift shop has at any other family attraction. Not easy to move around with a stroller. Organized by sections which helps. You are NOT forced to go thru the shop in order to exit, that is a huge plus.
