Great supply house for your cake and candy making needs!

I used to do a lot of business with Phyllis, for 20+ years...loved the store!! She gave me the impression that she was a genuinely nice person. Now I realize she was NEVER grateful for my business. She referred to me as being L-A-Z-Y like the MAJORITY of her customers, who call in advance to ask if they have a particular item in stock. It takes 45 minutes to get to her store, and the thanks I received was to be insulted. I recommend going to Marlenes Bakery, Euclid...much nicer and grateful people!!!

Best place for homemade chocolate hands down. Ive been shopping here for probably 20 or 25 years, no joke. Im so grateful that this tire exists!

Went in for cake pop supplies and they were very helpful. They had everything I needed at reasonable prices.

I ask for cupcake sized images she said we have some up front in our book. As I went through the book I picked the image that I wanted. She simply printed it. It came out so small that you couldn’t put the image on a Hershey’s kiss. And told me once it’s printed I couldn’t get my money back.

Simple cake and candy making supplies store. It was a little dated and pricey, but they had a good selection ood options. I asked for a business card and the woman clearly was not a regular and had no idea where they were kept. The chocolate covered Oreos were expensive!

Terrible employees my mom paid a visit to the local candy store on Monday of this week she was dressed in a mama clause outfit she was looking for cinnamon sauce to make her candy she’s just the cutest little old mama hard to believe that the employees here we’re not only disrespectful but called her a liar and stated that she had not Put in a phone call to them for an item that she drove all the way to the store together and it was not available the young lady at the register simply told her that she was a liar basically and that she had not placed the prior phone call we will never refer anyone to that spot again we do catering event planning and photography over the years we have referred so many to this location it is disgusting to hear that someone would disrespect and old white lady come in in in in Mama Clause his outfit to make a purchase .

If your a novice Baker or professional or just a 7 year old looking make cupcakes with mom.....this little sweet shop never disappoints.Candy molds, baking molds, boxes, wrapping, bags, cookie cutters abound but my favoriteHands down are amazing little sugar toppings in many colors and shapes.I picked up little colorful turkeys the size of a quarter about , multi colored fall colorful sprinkles and jimmies to add to rich white and milk chocolate disks I will melt and drizzle on mini pumpkin, pecan pie , carrot pineapple and zucchini chocolate bunt cakes All jazzed up for Thanksgiving.Ill add pic when done.Christmas is right around the corner so I grabbed a few jimmies, sparkles and balls to start stocking up.Sales person was efficient, friendly and very helpful.Store well organized, clean and well lit.Its a small store and can get bit cramped with lots people inside but if taken in stride well worth trip through doors.Hopefully this little gem will continue to be around a long time.

There are two sides to every story. This recent review by Stella is a complete twisting of the truth. She called my business screaming at an innocent employee. The employee called my personal phone to tell me about the ongoing episode. Stella demanded that I make a replacement topper because she did not like the font. It was not possible for me to do so on such short notice as I was hours away from the store. My employee informed Stella as such. Stella called the store a second time again screaming into the phone for several minutes. Several days later she stormed into the shop continuing her tirade in front of a store full of customers. I returned double the money she had paid for the topper. Despite my offer of apology and a sincere explanation that I have memory glitches similar to my mother who died of Alzheimer Disease, she continued to yell. She said that she was going to destroy my business by going on every social media site as she did here. Please do not allow this one bad apple to spoil the whole basket of wonderful reviews for Sweet Surprises. Thank you to all of my loyal current and future customers!!

This is the best place to purchase candy making supplies, cake decorations, boxes, molds, cookie cutters, cupcake wrappers. You name it they have it. They have been around for years and there is not another store around that has what they have.

I absolutely LOVE this store! The owner, Phyllis is a gem! If she doesnt have something on hand, she will go out of her way to assist and accommodate! Jackie and Sandy are always helpful and very knowledgeable! This is my first choice for all things cake and candy related!

They have almost everything a baker like myself could ever need. If they dont have it they make it their business to get it. I love this place and the staff of sweethearts that work there. If you live close you should utilize them. If you have to drive the distance to get to them I promise its worth the drive. They have decorative cake and cupcake pieces that I cant find anywhere else in my city, and the selection of cookie cutters (which I use for fondant) and chocolate molds...oh my goodness! Try Sweet Surprises they will not disappoint!

I absolutely love this store! It honestly is the best cake supply in the greater Cleveland area. They are always stocked, and have a really good variety of supplies. The store owner also stays up on new cake supply trends, so there is always something new waiting for me when I go. Make sure to check them out!

I have been getting all my candy supplies from them for years. Never had a problemprices are good and the store is clean and well stocked. workers are always ready to answer all your questions.

I have come to this store a couple of times to pick up baking and candy making supplies. They have a huge variety, and their prices are incredibly reasonable. They sell a huge variety of chocolates (for baking, dipping, and chocolate fountains etc), and let you sample them to make sure you are getting the exact flavor in your homemade goods that you want, which I think is excellent.

Sweet Surprises is my absolute favorite! The women that own and work here are helpful, kind, and always doing what they can to accomodate their customers. I know when I am in a pinch and need help, Phyllis is always right there to provide guidance and a helping hand. I’ve seen customers be rude and say hurtful things to some of the women there who are doing their best to not only sort and package products, but also field phone calls, help walk in customers, print edible images, cover cake boards with foil, open and arrange stock items, and help people like me with questions about buttercream, or the best way to cover a cake with fondant. The store is a mom and pop type place where everyone is family and I absolutely love it! I won’t shop anywhere else!

Did not feel welcome. No greeting. No offer of help. Practically run over by a staff member. Staff member helped clients who came in after me before me so, even tho I wanted to buy something and ask about other things, so I just left. Ill go to the other baking supply place instead.

I have been here several times and always was met with good service until TODAY. The only employee in the building would not leave the chair in the back room or get off his cell phone. I had questions about a product because I have a guest coming to a party with food allergies. I told him I had some questions about the product and he expected me to YELL my questions to him across the store WHILE he SAT in the CHAIR and STAYED on the PHONE! This guy would not come out to the floor. Completely rude and inconsiderate. Not sure who trained this guy, but they need to have a talk with him about proper customer service. Meanwhile, I went to another store - spent a ton of money on the supplies I needed. I wont be back!

Terrible! I will never step my foot in the again. While i like product and supplies, there is other places I can get them. Store owner unprofessional, screamed at customer like a crazy woman. She messed up fully paid for customized topper and when I asked her employee to have her call me back she refused to call me back. While she apologized, her apology was followed by excuses, her mother died 6 years ago, she didnt know which font (even though I saw her write it down), she forgot, she makes mistakes.... All that stuff that was not necessary to follow appology.... And when I went in to get money back she screamed like a crazy woman, purple in the face. Very unprofessionally speaks ill of her past employees.... I will not do business with!!!!!

Would be great to have some weekend hours for people who work during the week and cant get up there by 6.
