Its a nice store but mostly all things CASE store. Almost like a college book store. There are books and magazines and other little trinkets. Located close to the CASE campus and nice restaurants. Parking in the back id convenient but its also very walkable.

Great stop for alternative, counterculture or Beat generation books. Obviously, they have mainstream stuff as well. There is an upstairs (Beat) and a larger downstairs area. Pretty much just books here - didnt see any trinkets or souvenirs aside from postcards.

The location is in a great place. There are store and restaurants within walking distance. I was able to find a Dean Koontz book i had been looking for. I also purchased a book by the late Stephen Hawkings that is a very enlightening read and a cook book.

Half the place is just clothes, but I found a nice History book section. Also, theres no bathroom and a few people came in to ask about one within the twenty minutes I was there. Maybe they should invest in a restroom...

Its just a Barnes and Nobles. They got a lot of CWRU gear textbooks, other than that enjoy the Barnes And Nobles layout.

Review №12

Great inventory from apparel to daily school suppies. They could have better selection of CWRU apparel, especially name brands like Nike and UA. I also like low profile Nike hats, and its hard to find any low profile hats here. Otherwise good selection and 10% off for CWRU employees (not valid for students).

Only ever bought books for school here, none of the case gear or other random books. Great place to get most of your books from, but check Amazon first. Usually the bookstore has similar prices, but sometimes when the bookstore is out if rentals for a certain book, it is cheaper to buy a used one from Amazon. But good rental service; they arent super strict with condition, just dont wreck the book and you should be fine.

Ro

Overpriced as most college bookstores, but you can find some useful stuff. Also, the staff could use some training in pleasantries and customer service.

Great bookshop with many interesting finds other than books. There’s a place to sit upstairs but not too big. It’s usually empty during the day. The bookshop opens onto Dunkin Donuts and a seated area which is great. Close to Panera and many restaurants. Nice place to spend a few hours. Metered parking nearby and a nitrogen ice cream place too.

Ch
Review №20

All the usual merchandise for all the usual prices. Just dont buy your textbooks here if you dont have to - the prices are obscene, and the only benefit is immediacy. Theyve got a price matching scheme now for new books, but the books are always cheaper used, or aquired through ... other means.

Beautiful store which is laid out well. We found so much more to look at in this physical location than online browsing.

Can always find what I need here.

My
Review №24

It is not apart of the rest of the Barnes and Noble brand. So lets say you go online and see a price and item you like they wont have it or if they do the price is way different. So if something is on sale it is not there because they are a independent store. So you would have to call the store to check before coming up there.. And the location is location is horrible. I rather stay at the one in Mentor.

I want to respond to Roberta. Think, CASE, MULTINATIONAL KIDS ( I love them) . Their parents spare no expense, now figure it out. Rent is $1.500 up the street near the hood. Rent here where I sit 4 blocks south (at b&n) is $1.500 to $3.000. SMH.

Wide variety of books, as well as Case Western spirit wear (as you might guess from the name). With the variety of genres available (and there are a lot), dont expect too much depth in any. Better place to browsr than seek out something specific, unless youre looking for something new. Fine if expensive tech selection

Managed to screw up single order for single book that I need it for school. It got delayed by two weeks as they tried to bill me twice. Never received an apology nor a commercial gesture. not affiliated with BarnesAndNoble is, which I find very surprisingly since it’s says so in front of the building, as such do not expect any help from BarnesAndNoble’s customer service.there is no customer service for this bookstore..I’ve learned it the hard way, I suggest you buy your books on Amazon instead

Ro

This Barnes & Noble is closely related to Case Western Reserves Campus, acting as its bookstore. As such, it has quite a large amount of CWRU memorabilia, including shirts, sweatshirts, sweatpants, jackets, and more. It also has an upper floor which manages books for CWRU. However, as a college campus bookstore, the prices on textbooks are absurdly high, and sell back values are low. There is also an attached cafe, for snacks and beverages. This Barnes and Noble also attempts to sell laptops and tablets. For how much I love typical Barnes and Noble, this branch is overpriced, small, has a very small book selection and a very large college memorabilia section. Unless you are a CWRU student, there is nothing for you here.
