If you want a place thats knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly, this is it. Found a terrific bike for an incredible price and I learned a lot about bikes at that.

James was very helpful on getting my bike on the road at a very reasonable price and in a quick turnaround time. He also answered many of my newbie questions and made useful suggestions. Definitely will return very soon to upgrade my bike.

Upcycles did a nice job giving our old bike a fresh powder coat. We experienced some unexpected delays, but the shop owner James compensated us for those delays. Thank you James for following up!

The experience with Upcycles was wonderful. I brought my husbands bike in for a tune-up and to switch out his handle-bars. The turn-around was fast, the work well-done, and he was so polite and warm to both myself and my husband. He even gave our 3 year old stickers for her helmet. Highly recommend this shop.

My boyfriend took his bike to another place in lakewood and they told us it wasn’t worth fixing, we decided to take it here for a second opinion, they fixed it and weren’t pretentious about it not being a top of the line bike! Repairs weren’t very expensive and they were quick! Will likely be back for any further bike needs.

Not only did I get a bent front rim straightened out for way cheaper than anywhere else quoted me but it was also done much faster than expected. Yup

Great deals on bikes. However, it is a resale shop. Selection may be hit or miss. Last time there, late February, they had a very good selection. Proprietor knows bikes. Can be a little cantankerous, old hippy. Go there for a good deal, not to be schmoozed. Shop is messy.

I have been a cyclist for decades and do 90% of my own maintenance, but I have gone to Upcycle Bikes for fine tuning. I have expensive bikes and can easily afford to go to any LBS, but I like their ethos of bikes as primary transportation, vs recreation.

Very informative people which means that they know what theyre talking about. Prices Our Fair and balance out two both the customer and owner. Very friendly and open to discuss any day. Also, free air pump oh, if you do it yourself

Shop is amazing!!! My bike was looked at by 4 shops...2 wanting to sell me an expensive bike rather than fix the one I had. One fixed it, but botched the job with rusted used parts. Upcycles specialize in restoration...I just needed brakes and maybe a cluster. My Trek Mt. Bike was pretty good in 1990 and still rolls fine. Now...like a new bike. IM SO HAPPY! Thank You!

One of the best bike shops that I patronize!! The owner has accommodated my every repair need and bicycle purchase, and has complete knowledge of older (and newer) steel type bikes and can perform any upgrade or repair. Prices are more than fair. He has kept my prized Schwinn Tempo road bike in top working order, and even converted an old frame into a dedicated stationary trainer. Ive been riding bikes for over 30 years and have been to many bike shops, and I can say from experience that Upcycles is a top rate shop who I would trust with any bicycle related service! Great experience in the shop. The owner took the time out to figure out a complicated matter on a wheel hub, and did it while I waited. Hes personable and professional...and also quite knowledgeable. Price was fine also.

Very poor customer service. Came in 30 minutes before close and was told to leave because it was not enough time to look for a bike. Was very disappointed.

Are you serious? This place is like bike heaven. The owner is a personable gentleman willing to help and teach customers everything there is to know about bikes. Truly a marksman of his craft, he refurbishes old bikes with new, reliable parts and sells them at affordable prices. I walked in just to get some measurements for a bike fitting but I ended up staying past close learning how to repair an index shifter. Free lessons taught by the owner every Thursday. I was thoroughly impressed with this store and ill be spending my money here for sure.

I was able to get a hand cycle here. It allowed me to keep biking while my knee healed. This place has it all, plus good service, plus friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Rip off, bait and switch. This shop has good reviews for some people. The so called over haul is a lie.

I have looked for a new mountain bike for about a year on & off. Ive been less than impressed with a lot of the local bike shops, looked at Craigslist and then was excited when I found this gem while searching the internet! What an amazing way to help the local community, teach young adults/teens how to work hard to earn a bike and or learn the skill of working on bikes!We drove from Mantua, just under an hour to get there yesterday. We did however, call ahead to make sure they had several 15 inch womens mountain bikes. When we walked in the we met the owner, a nice, laid back, no pressure sales but very knowledgeable gentleman. My boyfriend and I were impressed with his selection and quality. I was able to test drive the bike around the block. It rode well and then he did one final look at the bike before sending it home with us. We walked out of the store with a new helmet, a high quality Jamis mountain bike that has been fully looked over for just under $350. The bike even came with a 6 month tune up! You can tell they truly stand behind their work. What a great idea to help the local community, environment and customers! There were also good quality less expensive bikes. I would recommend to anyone looking for a used bike price for the quality of a new bike.
