I’m an antique shop connoisseur and have been exploring shops in the area. Had to try the door twice, walked down to other entrance to find that one locked as well. There are signs everywhere that read “do not touch” which give a quite unwelcoming atmosphere. Finally, very few pieces in the store had price tags, but the ones who did were astronomically high. Unfortunately I’d recommend skipping this shop.

Business websites should convey important information. On July 17, 2021 we tried to visit both locations only to be turned away because they are still requiring masks. NOWHERE on their website was this posted. The shop windows did look interesting. :-(

Mind blowing selection and fun!! One of the best true, genuine Antique stores around. Youll love this place whether you are antique savvy or simply enjoy hunting for wonderful things. So many unsual, cool, beautiful and rare pieces---things you wont easily find anywhere else. Artisan Antiques is a must go-to place for my home, gifts and collections. KNOWLEDGEBLE, friendly and helpful staff. Always worth the time and any money spent.Kudos to all good small hardworking businesses like these that are managing to survive the COVID pandemic and who despite the tough odds continue to add something special to our community and challenging lives.

I was denied entrance because I didn’t have a mask with me. I was not offered one either. Bring a mask even if you are vaccinated and mandates are dropped. It looks like they have interesting items.

I wanted to like this place, but too many things about it simply urked me. This story has a lot of interesting and unique items, but is very disorganized and almost nothing has a price tag on it. The owner is constantly agitated and seems indifferent about selling anything in the store unless he can manage to negotiate the highest price possible out of his customers.

Really was looking forward to seeing this shop. When I walked in it was a scene from an episode of hoarders. Narrow isles with stuff stacked six feet high, literally. Items that you could see and were priced were way above market value. Then there was tons of non priced items. The owner, Laurence couldn’t come up with a price without researching it and getting back to me, then he could ship it. Doesn’t seem like he really wants to sell anything. Sadly disappointed, I really liked some items, but couldn’t get any reasonable prices.

I had the most wonderful experience with Lawrence and his staff. My husband and I had been looking for a mid-century dining set, something with clean lines and not too big, and found a posting of a set we liked on Craigslist. We contacted the poster and it turned out to be Lawrence, who set up a time with us to view the piece. Since his shop is very full he and his staff assembled the set in the courtyard behind the building for us to view. We fell in love with it right away--it has a beautiful look and a sturdy build, the upholstery was clean and in great shape, and there are little details that make the set unique. We did notice some small gaps in the joints that support the table but didnt think too much of it at the time and made the purchase. Lawrence had planned to touch up some small scuffs before delivery for us but when he had his woodworking guy take a look, the guy said that the dowels inside those supporting joints needed to be replaced. Lawrence let us know right away and absorbed the cost of the work himself. He kept us posted about the process of the work and set up a delivery with us as soon as it was ready. He and his team did a great job delivering the set and setting it up for us in our dining room. He gave detailed instructions for taking care of the piece and even called after he left because he thought of one last thing. He also clued us into the idea that we could have a piece of glass cut for the top if we wanted to use it without a cloth but protect the wood. He gave several recommendations of local businesses who could do the work and what to ask for. In short, he was extremely caring, attentive, and knowledgeable and went the extra mile for us. We love the set and really enjoyed the entire experience of working with him. Well look forward to working with him again next time were in the market!

I wanted to learn more about the history of the Cleveland area and what kinda of stuff they used to have and still keep. I would define this store as a classic hole in the wall shop. Its packed full, stacked on top and leaning up against its self. If you have the time to look hard, this is full of treasures. They have furniture, dishes, jewelery, deco, lamps etc. They have a sister store two doors where I stopped to take the photo.I am not familiar with the Ohio antique market, but compared to South Dakota, their prices are very high, however this may be normal in the area. The clerk who helped me was very pleasant and knowledgeable about antiques and the history and interesting places in the area.I give them only 3 stars as you had to ring the doorbell to get in and they are either in one store or the other, so you may have to walk two doors down to get help. The three items I was interested in did not have a price marked and the clerk wouldnt sell them without the owner establishing a price (he was not in). The clerk was very nice though and called the own so I could purchase the ring I wanted.

Two places, separate entrances. You were to push the door bell to be let in. First place no one came to the door. Second place we walked in and discovered you could not move. Tons of stuff, piled high, oddly with signs “do not touch.” You could not get to about 75% of the items. I am sure there are some wonderful things in there, but playing Tetris and being made to feel like you were not wanted in their store was not how I shop. Wasted time and gas to get here. Very disappointing.

I’ve been here twice and both times I got the feeling that I was unwelcome. The owner had to unlock the door for me and didn’t even greet me with more than a harrumph. They don’t have any antique fine jewelry, just retro costume jewelry. There is so much stuff stacked on top of other stuff that I feel claustrophobic in here.

A lot of unique and just neat things in the 2 shops. We found the items we were looking for. Laurence made sure we had all the pieces and parts. Everyone was very helpful in moving things and loading our vehicle. This place is a must see for antique and collectable hunting!

We were very pleased with our purchase and experience at Artisan Antiques and jewelry today. Laurence Goldman, the owner helped us find a beautiful dresser for one of our bedrooms. When we went to pick it up the guys were oiling it and tightening any loose parts. They were all so knowledgable and gracious!

Laurence, the owner, would be a better pawn broker than an antiques dealer. I swear he owns this shop more as a performance art space, than a retail sales area. His shop just has so much disorganized stuff, that its more like a hoarders apartment, than a commercial sales space.Every time I visit, the aisles are tighter, and tighter, to the point of claustrophobia.Customer service is pretty much a joke, and you always feel like hes barely tolerating your presence, infringing on his personal space or valuable time.Exchanges are always quite abrupt, and the owner seems to be perpetually annoyed by his customers, their attitudes, or something the staff is doing, or is supposed to be doing. Not a happy camper, and hell make youll feel that way too, in short order.

I love going into Artisan Antiques & Jewelry and the sister store, Uptown Archeology, which is where they have more of their furniture, stained glass windows and bigger architectural items. Every time I come into town I always have to visit these shops because they have the biggest collection of interesting antiques that I have seen from coast to coast. This is the only place you could find this many anique gems under one roof. They have bronzes, pottery, art glass, Art Deco, mid-century furnature, industrial design, architecture, toys, old instruments, basically you name it, so I will ALWAYS find something I have to have. The prices are always fair and the staff are always helpful in directing me find something I might not see. My girlfriend always enjoys coming with me on the treasure hunt because she loves all the antique jewelry they have as well. So take it from a jadded collector, this is the place to shop!!!!!
