I recently had Suncoast do the work on my 74 Princess and couldn’t be more satisfied with the work. I cant be more pleased with my experience working with Suncoast Marine Electronics with working my marine electronic needs. From working with the front office with details on ordering and scheduling, to the installation of the product. Eric and Randy came to my boat to install a Garmin radar and IP camera. They were courteous, knowledgable with the products and professional with their work. They took the time to explain everything they were doing and walked me through the use of the products they installed. After discussing additional options I was interested in getting, they talked me down from an expensive option I was looking at to inexpensive option that would suit my needs better. Who does that now days? Well Eric and Randy does. Already have more orders in to Suncoast Marine Electronics. Super company.

Been working with these guys on an extensive refit project for 4 months. They are stand up guys who care about their work and do a good job.

We had a problem with a Furuno sounder and wanted to schedule a time to bring our boat in. Mike suggested we first bring in the unit to check its function before looking at the transducer. The unit checked out so I assumed now I needed a new transducer. Mike went through some different options, one of which included some suggestions of things we could try that might make it work again without replacing it. Well, it wasnt easy, but we did what he suggested and it worked! Saved me a bunch of money - and didnt charge me anything for checking out the unit! I appreciate any businessman who isnt out to make a buck at every opportunity - thats putting your customer first and will always pay off later. Thanks Mike!

Ive done business with a number of companies in the marine business with mixed results. Suncoast has exceeded my expectations. I originally hired them for a very small repair and since have had them design, install and set up an entire electronics network on my boat. Eric and Mike are great guys and did an excellent job for me.

I was only going to be docked in Clearwater for a week, including the MLK holiday. I had about 3 or 4 electrical issues, including my chart plotter and wind meter. I called on Friday evening, hoping they might squeeze me in late the next week. Instead, the owner called me from his cell phone on the way home, offered some very useful advice on things I hadn’t thought to do, and asked me to call him after the holiday if I still had any issues. He explained that they have about a 2-week waiting list, so I didn’t get me hopes up.I managed to fix one of the issues based on his advise. When I called back 3 days later, he had Mike (a great guy) come out that morning. Fewer than 2 hours later everything was repaired and working great. This was WAY beyond my expectations. I can’t thank them enough for what they did. Now, my boat is humming along just great!

Do not do business with this place. They are an authorized Lowrance (my head unit) and KVH (electronic auto-compass) dealer/repair shop. My radar overlay feature would not work on my map. They completely misdiagnosed the problem after charging me 1.5hours labor at $140. I replaced my auto-compass per their instruction and had the same problem. Put back in the old compass and called Lowrance tech support, which walked me thru 3 simple settings, took less than 10 minutes walking me through it over the phone! Now suncoast marine electronics is brushing me off, not refunding my $, while only offering me a partial credit to do future business with them - NO WAY, HORRIBLE EXPIERENCE. I have had to register complaints with Lowrance and KVH as well as dispute the charge with my credit company. Ive owned a variety of boats over the last 30 some years and never had a worse experience with any boat shop, mechanic, etc...
