Went in to replace the shoulder sling/immobilizer I got from the local CVS. The service was top notch. I was presented with 2 options and they had every size in stock. In and out of there in 10 minutes and was able to get the quality of product I was looking for. Ill definitely be back if I need anything high quality supply wise.

First off, DONT READ THE COMMENTS BELOW. Those are all for the PAP stuff which they DO NOT DO ANY MORE. With that being said, this place was awesome. A lot bigger then what you see in the pictures and from what you see outside. I just bought a new knee brace (7-2-2019) and the guy who sold it to me, Dave, was so cool and funny. I highly recommended this place for all your medical needs.

My experience at Medical West was (and I do not use this term often)...PERFECT. I was there to pick up a brace for my knee. I sprained it during a pick up game of bocce at the Knights of Columbus meeting earlier this year. The two gentlemen at the orthopedic counter were extremely helpful - and offered me several options at different price ranges. One of them even offered me a glass of water while I waited (both seemed to be busy with their scheduled appointments, but took time to make sure I was taken care of as I waited).In the end, my swollen leg prevented me from finding a size that fit me properly. One of the men offered to look online for a 6X brace, but I have been down this road before and it is futile at best. I am simply too large for even the most accommodating sizes. I want to commend the orthopedics department at Medical West in Clayton for their superb service and for providing this old Knight a breath of fresh air. I was certain that chivalry and customer service died in the 70s. I will ALWAYS use Medical West for my supplies as I fade toward my twilight. Great job!

Dayle at Medical West went beyond her roleThe insurance company fought me on a needed arm garment for me. I didnt know what to do. Dayle took the initiative into helping me with appealing my health insurance declination. I was wearing bandages on my arm and hand to managed my swelling but this was temporarily until my compression items come. I can say that I have my garments. Thank you Dayle.😘😘😘🌹🌹🌹🌹❀❀❀

When I arrived I waited forever and felt like I was a burden because they were busy. Once I was helped the lady was great. I turned in my script and apparently needed another note from my doctor. She offered to call and then mail my product. I received the call about a week later that everything was covered by insurance and my product was in the mail. I later received a bill because it was ran thru the insurance the day it was mailed and my insurance has then expired because it was a new month it was mailed on. I called and had horrible service and was told it is not billed on the date of service and it was my problem I came in knowing my insurance was canceling. I came in when I did because I live so far and had an appointment that day closer to the store. I was recovering from surgery myself and have little kids and I HAD insurance! Rude service and I should have listened to all the reviews and avoided this place from the start. I will now return and order online. Never again will I step foot in the store or let any family or friends in the store

Ive dealt with this business for a number of medical needs over the last decade and have always found their service to be very very good and the knowledge of their staff to be high. The only thing about this store is that their prices are somewhat high, but I believe that has something to do with what they charge Insurance, what insurance finally pays, and what it actually cost to buy the product. So I guess my advice would be to use Insurance whenever you can when buying from this or any other medical supply store. Ive used other stores in St Louis and keep on coming back to Medical West because they truly are the best, regardless of price.

We had amazing customer service from Sally. We came specifically for a maternity support brace for my wife. Her OB had referred us to Medical West in Clayton. Sally was very friendly, confirmed over the phone what we needed was in stock and then in-store walked my wife through the process of putting on the brace. This was the best shopping experience weve had in a long time.

I needed a pair of crutches that they didnt have on site, they called the warehouse and had them delivered for me the next morning. They adjusted them to the proper height. I was so grateful to have an experience with such great customer service, they were fast and friendly.

Go some place else... I drove 40 miles and hobbled up there steps in order to get a knee walker... my doctoirs office faxed the prescription and insurance information... but of course they denied receiving it... I get there.. on crutches and they tell my my insurance wont cover the in a rental because of the crutches... they were wrong...DO NOT PATRONIZE these fools.. Go anywhere else...

This place sucks!!!! And thats the nicest thing I can say about it.Waited an hour and a half for compression stockings that they didnt have in stock, would need to order. They had to call my insurance, of course, to find out coverage, I understand that. I was told someone would call me in the next few days. Never got a phone call. Called them today and they had a bit more information but they still have not ordered item yet. Was told again someone would call me back, that was almost 3 hrs ago. When I called again they were busy and was told someone would call me back.At this point Ive had enough. I called my Doctor to ask if there is another medical supply company. Cuz Im not going back here. I will do without before I go back there.They have plenty of people who work at the front desk but dont seem to do anything else. Seems to me they need to hire more people for those busier departments or train the folks sitting around doing nothing to help them.Horrible service and I am NOT a demanding person, I just dont put up with BS.

Our first time using this company and it’s been hell trying to reorder supplies for my son’s CPAP machine. It’s apparent that they are not monitoring him because the leakage from his mask is so high, no one has called to inquire about what’s going on or to even see if we’ve received his supplies but are QUICK to send a bill in the mail to me for payment when there’s insurance on file to cover all costs. I have made several calls but nothing in our favor; β€œlet me send an email for a tracking number and will call back once I have an answer”. Completely frustrated and I just want my son to be able to sleep peacefully at night. If I knew a different company, I’d ask his doctor to send us there, Medical West isn’t it!

Pathetic customer service. I had to call 9 (and this number is not ex aggregation) times to multiple office to get my resupplies. My order was placed on 5/10 and in-spite of telling multiple times I am going on a vacation 5/31 and wont be back for couple of months, I was promised I will get it by 5/30, but now I get a call saying that they have to send it approval for insurance, and I won;t be getting it. The customer care persons were not professional either. Every time somebody else picks up the phone and I have to repeat the same story and they dont maintain the history of what was discussed last

Medical West set up an appointment for fitting for replacement cpap mask they didnt even have when I got there. When the appointment was set up, I was asked a number of questions including the mask it was being replaced with. I came in as scheduled for the fitting. They said they couldnt fit me because didnt have my mask size (medium) on site. They said I should have told them my size when the appointment was made. They didnt ask. Prior mask and all records were from that office in the first place. Wasted my time.In reply to the Response from Owner: I reviewed the correct company and location. Because your parent company has since sold off the Respiratory component the concerns I raised might not currently apply. But the post is in no way wrong.

I would recommend anyone needing supplies not to choose Medical West. Orders for CPAP supplies can take 3 weeks...not good when needed. Also, twice i have been told that the shipping orders have been mixed. Go to a different company if you can for peace of mind.

I dont know if they are fraudulent or just incompetent, but I finished paying off my PAP machine almost A YEAR AGO, and I have received several bills from them since, which I have had to dispute. I have told them to entirely remove me, including credit card information from their system, but clearly that hasnt happened. I hope for their sake they are simply incompetent, but if you have a choice go literally anywhere else.

Over the years I have purchased several things from MW on Brentwood. Every time they have been knowledgeable, kind, and patient w me. Today EMILY was a great help. Even when I may be embarrassed by the supplies or producti am treated w respect. U may be able get some things online for less money but not with this kind of service. And by meeting certain criteria they will deliver to your door. Thank you all. Including management, who have no doubt created this environment and fostered the values of respect and basically, unflappability.

If I could give them less than one star I would. The Reps are not helpful, they dont seem to know the equipment, availability, coverage or really anything. This company has billed me for services and received 100% payment from the insurance company. Even with a credit on my account they will bill me.

West Medical has given us nightmares!My husband and I have recently needed CPAP machines and unfortunately we are required to use Medical West for the machines and supplies. My husband went to his appointment and was handed the machine with minimal education given and asked what mask do you want. He was not fitted for the proper mask. By two weeks into using the machine, he had air leakage with the mask and called to see if he could stop by and get some help. They no longer did CPAP at Clayton. He was required to give them information and someone would call him back to then schedule an appt for him. You only have 30 days to get a new mask or the insurance will not pay for the new one. Approx a week after his call he was seen and everything has been good so far.I went to a β€œclass” to teach me about how to use the machine, which was helpful, they then ask what mask I wanted. I had no idea what mask to use, and neither did the people in my class. When it came time for me to review Andy sign the paperwork, I realized they had my last name spelled 3 different ways.They advised me in person and by letter that they would monitor my readings for 90 days along with my doctorMy doctor was not aware that West Medical was reviewing my daily results. Since West Medical did not contact me about the air leakage, there was a question as if they were monitoring me or notMy doctor advised me to call West Medical to get a mask fitting or new mask if needed. There is no listed phone number for the corporate office that I went to for my class. I called an 800 number and was told that they were the supply reorder number.. They did tell me they would take down my info and send the office an email to then have them call me. Within 5 minutes, I received a call that they need more information. The information they asked was already in my file, so I do not understand why I needed to provide to them again. One of the first questions β€œwhat mask do you want”. I again advised that I hope they would review my information and help me in choosing a new mask or to adjust the one I have to fit properly I am now waiting for a call as my 30 days are up in 3 days.I am disappointed in their customer service and lack of concern for a patient after they obtain their equipment. I find it frustrating that I cannot reach someone to talk to when I have a problem.If given a choice I would NOT use West Medical.

I called about getting a brace for my dog until the custom made brace was done. The lady who answered the phone said something to another employee and they both started laughing and joking around wondering if I was serious! When she got back on the phone she was still giggling. This is highly unprofessional and I will never do business with them again.

Was told they would pick up equipment between 10:00 am and 2:00 p.m. I wasted an entire day and needless to say at 3:30 no one had showed up and when I called Jeff, the respiratory manager, he had the audacity to lie and say no specific time was given. Icing on the cake, the driver Maurice then called to argue with me about the pick up. Totally unprofessional. Never will my family or anyone I know use them.
